- Establishing entities is a critical step in the data modeling process, but one problem is that the objects of all the entities are ambiguously defined, except for the things that can be intuitively observed. This paper suggests an approach to the observation of events rather than things, which happen momentarily, as objects of entities. For this purpose, a philosophical approach that assigns an ontological status to events is taken in this study. Approaching events themselves as objects of entities will facilitate interoperability at the entity level, and the opening of public data in different corporate data models.
