This paper describes a method of faces detection based on skin color, face shape and corner points. The skin regions are detected by the segmentation of image with a threshold calculated by a combination of rules proposed on elements of the three color spaces RGB, HSV and YCbCr. Next, the geometric constraints (surface, ratio, eccentricity) are applied to eliminate the skin regions detected that do not have a shape similar to a human face. Then the corner points of Harris are used to verify the existence of eyes in the regions detected. The results obtained are satisfactory in terms of the quality of detection and rapidity.

Many software applications are now built from services which run on heterogeneous platforms and are accessed by several users. These environments are in constant evolution. So application and services have to dynamically adapt in order to satisfy the quality of services required by the users. These systems called adaptive system should provide the ability to adapt the external and internal environment changes. As a critical part in self-adaptive system, adaptive software is a function of how well the software supports and adapts the changing environment, so it is important for developers to acquire the knowledge of user’s roles, task will affect software changing. In addition, programming adaptation facilities taking account the different situations that could happen is a difficult task. In this paper, we focus on the idea of task model as a representation to support software adaptation, including task model compression, task model construction, using task model to support software adaptation, and users interact with their computing environments in terms of high-level tasks.

The recent APT attacks including cyber terror are caused by a high level of malicious codes and hacking techniques. The substantive problem is that there are frequent cases in which accounts are seized by malicious hackers and servers are attacked due to a high dependence on the ID/Password system, or account information is exposed through new malicious codes that are not detected by vaccines. This implies that essentially, advanced security management is required, from the perspective of 5A. According to the consideration and research on the big information Security accident cases that have occurred over the last 5 years, the paralysis of A-Bank networks resulted from the non-observance of account management policy, even though there was an account management process, and the user information leakage of B-Portal was caused by APT attacks using malicious codes, but it could prevent it by using the Multi-Factor certification of users to have access to DB or server using OTP, rather than ID/Password. Also, the customer information leakage of C-Capital wouldn’t occur, if it deleted the accounts of employees who resigned, in accordance with security policy, and the customer information leakage of KT agencies could be prevented in advance through a verification of users and devices of subcontractors. Lastly, the exposure of internal information of the domestic large company, S to North Korea wouldn’t be occurred, if foreign users were not allowed access to particular tasks and networks. The changes of IT environment are represented by Mobile, Cloud and BYOD, and all the devices of IT are being serviced via wired and wireless networks. In this situation, the security model needs to be changed, too into the Airport model which emphasizes prevention, and connection, security and integration of functions from the existing Castle model. The risk-based Airport model consists of 5A (Accounting, Authorization, Authentication, Auditing and Administration), and for applying this model, a preventive process of threatening factors should be designed. This study suggested an application method of the risk-based Airport model to the cyber security environment.

Profitability is prime goal of every software organization. In the recent years, software development paradigm has vastly changed due to rapidly changing business requirements. Now customers demand for their desired products to be delivered in a minimal timeframe. To cater for these demands, different rapid development techniques termed as agile development and reusability phenomena are introduced in the software industry. With the help of reusable components, developing and deploying software products can be much easier and economical. Such approaches can help save cost and working hours so that the developing company can utilize its scare resources on other projects. But achieving accurate and precise reusability is not a piece of cake because along with economical and time saving benefits it comes with some shortcomings, such as it can increase the system complexity, can harm the architecture, degrade quality of the system etc. A proper storage facility of reusable components is required where an organization can save its important data and retrieve it when required. A wide range of standard repositories are used in various organizations for this purpose where important data is stored and retrieved. But in reality, every repository contains huge volumes of data and mostly no proper business standards of storing mechanism are applied. Though there are some repository maintaining software available in the market, but they only provide mechanism for storing artifacts. Maintaining the huge data volumes necessitates providing ample search assistance and putting in place precise reusable components suggestion procedure; therefore, researchers have to sift through loads of volumes of data within the repository for locating the intended component. In this paper, we discuss a novel concept of Central Value Based Software Repository (CBVSR). The proposed approach can assist users in finding the more appropriate artifact as it provides the best possible match against the user query. Proper standards have been followed in storing, deleting, amending and discarding data from the CBVSR. Data quality, security and integrity have been taken care of and indexing, tagging and classification are performed to provide technical assistance to developers.

As the fourth most populous country in the world, Indonesia has many challenges in e-Government development because of its many scattered island. The country needs Information and Communication Technology for communication and fast access to information to create good governance and clean government. Grid technology could be a solution for resource sharing and interoperability of e- Government systems. We have proposed the Indonesia e-Government Grid service topology model in which is an adjustment based on the framework of existing e-Government and also the form of government in the country. We have designed and simulated the topology of Indonesian e-Government Grid services based on function group from e-Government application solution map to connect the ministry/agency/department /institution and also based on the province and population in the country. In this paper we simulate and analyze the result of the e-Government services topology based on population using Friedman Test. The results shows that scenario involves three types of routers that are configured hierarchically which consist of leaf routers, edge routers and core routers using Self-Clocked Fair Queuing (SCFQ) scheduling algorithm give the best results. The setting of time delay make the waiting time for packets in Grid simulation queue become shorter.

This paper proposes to develop a novel e-learning model based on dynamic formative evaluation. In case of the evaluation of the existing e-learning, repetitive learning to achieve mastery, causes learners to degrade immersion and become neglectful of learning. The dynamic formative evaluation proposed is able to supplement the limitations of the existing approaches. Since a repetitive learning method does not provide perfect feedback, this paper puts an emphasis on dynamic formative evaluation that is able to maximize learning achievement. Through the dynamic formative evaluation, the instructor is able to refer to the evaluation result when making an assessment about the learner. For our model that shows the flow chart of learning, based on dynamic formative evaluation, we prove its effectiveness and validity by implementing our model and analyzing it.

Managing and storing big data makes use of powerful systems mainly based on the concept of data warehousing. Data changes usually occur in operational data sources that are mostly heterogeneous and remote from each other. To gather them in a single location called the data warehouse, they may undergo many treatments and processes according to the organization’s policies and rules. Once in the data warehouse, they become ready for decision-making and analytical tools. For fast and good decisions for the future, based on fresh data, it is necessary that the data warehouse reflects the real operational data changes and provides the freshest data to the analytical systems. This paper addresses the problem of integrating big data into the data warehouse in short time and proposes a new model called DJ-DI. Based on Division of data changes by adapting table joins, this model increases the data integration’s rate and thus data reach the data warehouse in shorter time. We have conducted different simulations of the DJ-DI model under our experimental platform. The obtained results show that the DJ-DI model offers a remarkable improvement of data integration’s rate.

Investment in financial asset these days are easily to be done. The principle in investment is higher return, higher risk. An investment with the very high return, contain very high level of risk. Otherwise if you invest in the financial asset that contain low risk level, then the expected return will be low. Therefore decision of choosing the right investment instrument is very important because it is related to risk, individual readiness in its implementation and suitability of investor profile itself. This thesis propose a machine learning method to develop a decission support system for investment manager in determining the suitable investment instrument for the individual client based on financial objective , risk level and investment period. Machine learning was choosen because it was known of its ability in recognizing the complex pattern based on learning process using the given data set. Artificial neural network multilayer perceptron (MLP) with two layers could be used as a classificator model to predict the mutual fund investment type that was suitable for investor based on investment purpose , risk level and investor profile. Experiment using 2-layers artificial neural network, 9 unit input, 16 hidden units and 4 output units that was trained with 50 data points consists of 9 vestor input component and 4 vector target components. The architecture and the data in the network could done the classification with accuration 93.33 percents.

This Article shows a Case Study research that is performed to compare effectiveness of the Planning Poker and Wideband Delphi in two case studies. Although, Wide Band Delphi has been proposed many years ago and has enough supports in both industry and academic area but, Planning Poker is somewhat new. The study showed that applying these techniques in two companies which were using expert’s view for software cost estimation, increased the accuracy of cost estimation. Also, the results showed that Planning Poker led to better accuracy comparing to Wideband Delphi. However, this accuracy is not too much than Wideband Delphi, it was important that Planning Poker led to reducing financial risks of the projects comparing to Wideband Delphi. The study also showed that both Wideband Delphi and Planning Poker reduced the underestimates significantly.

The time-varying characteristics of infinite data streams require continuous queries to be adaptively processed. The order in which multiple join operations are evaluated has serious consequences for the algorithm performance because the selectivity of each join operation can differ significantly from the selectivity of the other operations. The evaluation order may be effectively determined using the k-EGA and A-SEGO schemes, as proposed in previous studies. These methods optimize target continuous queries by monitoring a set of their promising subplans simultaneously. Each scheme also employs a user-defined cost-bound parameter for controlling the number of monitored subplans. A more optimized global plan may be generated by using a more highly configured cost-bound parameter. However, this approach can increase the overhead associated with monitoring the subplans. This paper proposes a new scheme, Adaptive Run-time Overhead Adjustment (AROA), which provides a novel method for adaptively determining the value of a cost-bound parameter based on the system environment. Unlike the previously described A-SEGO scheme, the scheme proposed here automatically selects the cost-bound parameter to reflect the system workloads (e.g., the input tuple rate, and other parameters). This method not only augments the probability of generating an optimized execution plan, it reduces the run-time delay caused by the optimization process. Experimental verification of the proposed scheme AROA demonstrated that AROA outperforms the previous schemes.

GUI testing takes a crucial role of acceptance testing. SBT (Specification-based Testing) and ET (exploratory testing) are mainly used for GUI testing. SBT is not practical because it requires high level experts and a lot of efforts for creating specifications. Therefore, in most cases, test cases are manually written based on ET by testers. However, ET requires heavy labor cost for enhancing coverages. Thus, it is not programmatic for better coverage than SBT. In this paper, to take advantages of SBT we proposed a method applying a reverse engineering concept which automatically generates formal specifications from manually written test cases. The paper also proposed a method to expand uncovered test paths and test data. The generated specifications could contribute to enhance the quality of software with a few additional manual tasks.
