The trajectories of moving object include useful information on the traffic situation and user behavior. The visualization of vehicle trajectories aims to provide enhanced understanding of the given data. Recently, technological advances in the satellite tracking system and handheld device facilitated personal log tracking which shows different properties compared to the trajectories of motor-assisted vehicles. In this study, we propose a trajectory visualization method based on the density map which highlights the areas where the trajectories with different kinematic properties are intersecting each other. The proposed method divides trajectories into several groups according to the kinematic properties of the given trajectories and generates the density map for each group. Based on the density map, the intersection map which visualizes the area that the groups are intersecting was constructed. The intersection map was combined with the density map to show the influence of the intersected area. In order to evaluate proposed method, we collected the bicycle trajectories and visualized them. The results showed that our visualization method was able to provide some visual insights which is hard to be noted from previously proposed visualization methods.

The signal processing circuit of shunt type current sensor is directly coupled with the high voltage electric circuit so that the common-mode interference signal conditioning becomes a problem. This paper proposes a high-voltage isolation current sensor employs modulation and demodulation which is based on shunt output signal. There is an electrical isolation is set between the high voltage and the low voltage to solve the poor anti-interference ability of shunt type current sensor. The test results show that the current measurement accuracy of the proposed sensor is 0.4%.

This work is based on the comparative study of different decomposition methods used to de-noise an ECG signal. There are several signal processing techniques available like Fourier Transform method, Short Term Fourier Transform method, Wavelet analysis, Empirical Mode of Decomposition method etc. Though Fourier Transform method is predominantly used for decomposition purpose but it is not suitable for decomposition of non-stationary signal. However, most of the biomedical signals are non stationary in nature. So the signal should be decently de-noised thus it can provide essential clinical information relevant to patient’s health condition. The difficulties of FT method can be knocked out by Wavelet Transform method. As Wavelet Transform is a non adaptive approach, it is not satisfactory to eliminate the high frequency noise from signal. The complications of WT method can be diminished by Empirical Mode of Decomposition method. A detail study is required to find out the most advantageous decomposition method for an ECG signal.

By describing the meanings and characteristics of emergency logistics and integrated transport, as well as the relationship between the two, a multi-objective, multi-stage mathematical optimization model based on “scenario-response” mode is proposed in this article. When factors such as time, cost and accident rate are taken into account, the optimization of integrated transport at different stages of public emergencies can be solved and analyzed using the improved Dijstra algorithm. The results show that this algorithm avoids the limitations of traditional multi-objective optimization methods, and can effectively resolve the multi-objective and multi-stage integrated transport in the optimization of emergency logistics effectively.

This paper describes the advanced control of solenoid for pressure valve for electric pressure cooker. To remove the problem of the on/off non-proportional pressure control method which was used to control the existing solenoid, newly redesigned solenoid was adopted and the advanced control method, linear proportional control method, was proposed. The control system by the pressure sensor and AVR was manufactured and its validation was proved through the experiment.

A number of algorithms have been recently proposed for automatic intruder detection from CCTV images. Past researchers have typically tested these algorithms on centralized networks where all images are transmitted to a central control room. This paper demon- strates the applicability of a selection of such algorithms to a distributed network of wireless sensors. A distributed network of wireless visual sensors was simulated using a number of high-resolution webcams setup in the hallways of an academic building. The selected algo- rithms were then applied in a distributed fashion at each node. An empirical comparison of the most popular of the recent algorithms on a simulation of a wireless sensor network was thus obtained. This paper provides corroborating evidence in support of the most effective of such algorithms to the problem of automatic anomaly detection from image streams.

Wireless sensor networks has been evolving toward wireless sensor actuator networks (WSAN), which provide more dynamic services based on events from sensor nodes. Actuators in WSANs are very energy sensitive device since they usually consume more energy than sensor nodes. And usually WSANs are based on the event reliability to support more accurate services. The optimum number of event notification messages from sensor nodes is very crucial part for ideal/advanced service reliability in WSANs. In this paper, we analyze how the number of event notification affects the energy consumption of actuator node in WSAN. Furthermore, a scheme that maintains WSAN staying in a low energy consumption state is proposed.

According to the complicated spatial constraints of the spacecraft, combined with physical characteristics, a mechanics model of flexible cable is established considering the large deflection deformation. Then, influences of constraints on the cable spatial attitude, movement parameters and internal forces are found. The method of cable planning can be used in the virtual environment of the model considering the spatial constraints. Furthermore, the mechanics model is solved by numerical integration method. Finally, the variation laws of the cable parameters are analyzed, and the simulation results have verified the validity of the cable mechanical model.
