Research of Electronic Power Information System Based-on Multi-core Processors

With the development of electric information technology, the performance of online production and marketing system has become a bottleneck in the development of the power system. The introduction of power system analysis computing to solve the problem of real-time information system quickly analyze theoretically. However, in the practical application of the system, the processing power of multi-core hardware does not fulfill, and has gradually become the performance bottleneck of the whole system. This paper considers the characteristics of the power system software, design and power under the multi-core environment information system performance testing and tuning system software by using the PMU multicore-based detection methods. This paper analysis and detects of online production and marketing system bottlenecks, identifies the main reason which downgrades the system performance, and generates the adjustment technology and plan.
Dynamic Performance Testing of Excluded Spectra Range of Band-Stop-Filter

This paper studies about band-stop-filter which attenuates certain areas, and passes very high and very low band of frequencies. We study the influence of excluded spectra range by evaluating MSE and PSNR performance. Simulation results confirm that accepting more high frequency energy improves image details, and accepting more low frequency energy enriches image intensities.

Multi-packet reception (MPR) technology makes it possible for wireless nodes to successfully receive multiple packets from simultaneous transmitters in wireless networks. As it can provide more transmission opportunities, the network throughput performance can be dramatically improved. In this paper, we propose a transmission chance adaptation strategy, which decides an appropriate level of channel access probability for each node in wireless networks. With the appropriate setting of channel access probability, the number of concurrent trans-missions would be close to MPR capability such that the throughput performance can be improved. Through extensive simulations, we show that the proposed transmission protocol outperforms the conventional IEEE 802.11 DCF mode in terms of the aggregate throughput.
Implementation of Fuzzy Technique Based on LabVIEW for Control Gas System Using USB 6009

The quality of Natural Gas Piping Systems (NGPS) must be ensured against any manufacturing defects. For this purpose, we develop a special testing machine (STM) constructed at the lab to test (NGPS). The proposed (STM)[1] function is based on testing the weak points at the pipe connections e.g. pipe bends, and intermediate connections. For more than 1500 pieces of (NGPS), crack propagation simultaneously followed up and monitored on the output screen at the critical positions of the pipelines connections. The control system utilizes the LabVIEW™ tools for various signals acquisition and monitoring also for designing the control system strategy.
Design and Implementation of Small Scale Electric Power Management System

Conventional electric-power grids generally have unidirectional power flows from the power plant to the consumers. At small factories, however, the problem is that they inefficiently consume electricity because they consume the electrical power depending on the time of day (e.g., on-peak usually during the day and off-peak usually at night time). In this paper, we try to improve the existing energy management system and propose an energy management system that mainly focuses on the efficiency of electricity consumption. In the proposed management system, PMU (Power Management Unit) installed in switchboard is allowed to collect electric power data in a real time. We also use data mining method, which is applied to analyze the collected data for improving energy efficiency. Also, our proposed energy management system is designed to efficiently control electricity between PMU and management system in case of a shortage of electricity or surplus electricity. Through the experiment, we demonstrate that our proposed system improves the efficiency of electric power of small scale power plant.
Mobile User Interface Based on the Rear Touch Panel on Mobile Device

Recently, mobile devices such as smart phones are widely used by the public. Thus, a method by which a user may conveniently manipulate various contents embedded in such a mobile devices is in demand. We propose mobile user interface based on rear touch panel on mobile device. In this paper, touch pad manufacture in the form of fixed or removable on the rear-facing of mobile device, there is provided a method of recognizing a control command(e.g., click, double click, drag and drop, moving) based on motion of a user’s finger. For applying a set of previously defined commands, we are applied interface to application that produced by direct. The proposed algorithm will enable easier and more intuitive to control and operate the mobile device, can apply to application of various forms.
Enhanced Shortest-Path Technique to Reduce Transmission Power in Wireless Sensor Networks

This paper proposes the transmission power control technique considering the shortest-path to minimize the hop-count without the occurrence of any power control messages. We applied the proposed technique on tree-based network component implemented on Tiny-OS. And we measured the transmission energy with 21 motes. Compared to before, the proposed technique consumes 75% of the transmission energy of the maximum transmission power solution. As a result of considering the shortest-path, the hop-count considering the shortest-path was about 40% less than a normal network.
Optimum Design of POD Controller for FACTS Device in Interconnected Power System

In this paper, a design method of the power oscillation damping (POD) controller for thyristor controlled series capacitor (TCSC) is presented so as to improve transient stability and dynamic performance of multi-machine power system. The design problem of the POD controller is converted to an optimization problem with the time domain-based objective function which is solved by a new simple strategy of PSO algorithm called using θ- Particle swarm optimization (θ-PSO) technique. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is demonstrated through the nonlinear time-domain simulation of over a wide range of loading conditions. The simulation results demonstrate that the controller may improve transient stability and dynamic performance of power systems significantly.
Calibration and Time-independence of Buffer-less System for Thermistor Temperature Measurement

This paper presents a temperature measurement system without the input buffer. A voltage follower or a buffer is required to minimize the influence of the ADC input impedance in the thermistor temperature measurement system. In such system, a high performance operational amplifier is usually required to prevent the noise and distortion due to the additional circuit. Negative power is also necessary to prevent the distortion of the low voltage input signal. This paper introduces a buffer-less system with a calibration method to resolve such problems. The low temperature coefficient precision resistors were employed to calibrate the input resistance and the leakage current of ADC. The experimental results show that the calibrated error decreased from 190mK to 40mK. As a result, it was shown that the ADC input impedance is time-independent.
