At Present times, A common person focus on their health issues not only for themselves but also for their family because health is a wealth. In the modern days most of the people are working and they spending 40% to 50% of the income on their health issues not only for themselves but also for their family. By this the rate of population arrival to the Hospitals are increasing day-by-day. So the hospitals have to be reliable towards the patients. The records of the patients and the medication details are to be maintained correctly. There may be many risks in the software that they use. So any health organizations are struggles to display the patient electronically measured health records and what they use medication outside. So every time common people are lose their health information. If the common people know the about their previous health records they reduce their money and take the first aid immediately. In this paper we suggest a new approach to risk assessment for health care systems. As risk assessment is a Qualitative approach, there are no exact techniques to solve such risks. Lack of risk assessment techniques leads to failure in the system and organization as the people don’t find interest to come if once the organization fails in any of the issues. Our new method mainly focuses on the risk management for health care organizations. Today’s health care industry faces a number of emerging risk issues related to health care reform, the shift from fee-for-services to outcomes-based compensation, the use of electronic medical records and the management of human capital. Therefore our method has put forth a Risk management technique for the Risk assessment.

The bulk of our work was performing the anaerobic digestion of wastes rich in organic matter in a laboratory prototype. The two different substrates: the biodegradable waste from landfill and sludge from the wastewater treatment plant by natural lagoon. We surveyed the evolution of the degradation of organic matter of both experiments which are carried in a digester with a capacity one liter, sealed. During the experiments we followed themeasure of the COD (chemical oxygen demand), the volume of biogas formed during the digestion, the temperature and the pH.The biogas produced from the anaerobic digestion of the two substrates is flammable with a percentage of CH4 more than 64%. Comparing the volume of biogas produced during the digestion of the two substrates of digestion we found that the volume collect from the sludge waste is greater than 10 times relative to thevolume of biogas produced with organic matter in the landfill. The volume of biogas produced is always a function of the residence time of digestion and the concentration of organic matter in the experiment. The percentage of decrease in COD of the sludge was estimated at 87.3% and the substrate of the landfill is 82.44%.

These days with the accelerated increase in human population, the amount of information and records is also becoming humongous in almost every aspect that may be considered. Handling such huge amounts of data has now become a backbreaking task. Handling involves – Inserting all the records accurately, displaying particular records according to the need, updating them as and when required and lastly deleting them when no longer of any use. These problems occur especially in large organizations where extensive amount of data is added and updated on a daily basis. We have considered one such organization that is Hospitals and have tackled this problem. We have worked on creating an efficient and user-friendly desktop application, which covers all aspects of data management with the help of Java on Net Beans IDE 7.3 as our front end and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio asourbackend. This application makes data retrieval and handling incredibly easy to manage.

Childhood apraxia of speech(CAS) is considered as an impairment of purposeful speech movements and is generally defined as a disorder of motor planning or motor programming. There have been a variety of studies about CAS and the diagnostic criteria were set up in English-speaking countries, but studies about diagnostic criteria of CAS for Korean speakers are needed. The purpose of the study was to examine voice onset time (VOT) and its variability in children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) compared to typically developing children. Twelve children with CAS aged 9-12 years old and 20 children who were age-matched participated in the study. This study measured VOT and variabilities of VOT during the production of /p' a/, /t' a/, /k' a/. For variability measures of VOT, each participant was asked to repeat speech tasks three times and the average value of the rates and its standard deviation were obtained The verification of the hypotheses was tested by using T-test of the significance level of 0.05.The results showed that the variability of VOT in CAS group was more significantly higher than control group. But VOT of /p' a/, /t' a/, /k' a/ between the experimental group and the control group was not significantly different. The results suggested that variability of VOT might be more distinctive speech feature to children with CAS than the VOT. This study is meaningful because of two points; one is that it was conducted to fit the characteristics of Korea language while English cases are revitalized in the domestic situation, and the other is that it could be utilized as a resource for subsequent studies.

Microarray technology provides a way for researchers to measure the expression level of thousands of genes simultaneously in a single experiment. Due to the increasing amount of microarray data, the field of microarray data analysis has become a major topic among researchers. One of the examples of microarray data analysis is classification. Classification is the process of determining the classes for samples. The goal of classification is to identify the differentially expressed genes so that these genes can be used to predict the classes for new samples. In order to perform the tasks of classification of microarray data, classification software is required for effective classification and analysis of large-scale data. This paper reviews numerous classification software applications for gene expression data. In this paper, the reviewed software can be categorized into six supervised classification methods: Support Vector Machine, K-Nearest Neighbour, Neural Network, Linear Discriminant Analysis, Bayesian Classifier, and Random Forest.

As the elderly are more vulnerable to drinking than young adults, elucidation of the relationship between drinking habits of old age and ADL is an important issue from the perspective of public health science. This study explores the relationship between drinking habits of the elderly and impaired Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and provides basic materials to prevent impaired ADL in the old age. This study analyzed a total of 4,134 elderly people over the age of 65 who participated in 2011 Korean Longitudinal Survey of Aging. Drinking habits were classified into 'no drinking (no drinking experience in lifetime)', 'past drinking (have drinking experience in the past but presently do not drink)' and 'currently drinking'. ADL were classified into ‘normal group’ and ‘Impaired ADL group’. To compare the relationship between alcohol drinking and impaired ALD, the odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were presented using hierarchical logistic regression. As the result of multivariate analysis (adjusted model), even after all confounding variables were adjusted, drinking had significant relationship with ADL impairment. Past drinkers has 6 times more risk of ADL impairment (OR=5.86, 95% CI: 3.07-11.19) than nondrinkers and current drinkers 4 times more risk (OR=3.94, 95% CI: 2.08-7.48) (p<0.05). As drinking in old age is associated with impaired ADL, moderation is required on drinkers for healthy aging.

In this paper, we have designed an energy efficient wrist watch on 28nm FPGA. The code has been implemented in Xilinx ISE Design Suite 14.2. The device used is XC7K160T, package used is FBG676 and it is working on -3 speed grade. The wrist band will take the blood pressure as input and will tell about the state of the person wearing it. The design supports Internet of things service that’s why IP addresses are involved. This wrist band design is very helpful in biomedical areas. Research is in progress in this field. In this paper frequency is varied to obtain power consumption of Wrist Watch. Airflow has been kept 250 LFM and medium Heat sink. IO Standards has been varied in order to achieve an energy efficient device. Main emphasis has been done on MOBILE_DDR, LVTTL, HSUL_12, HSTL_I, LVCMOS33 and SSTL15 IO Standards. To design an energy efficient device we are using capacitance scaling and the capacitance is scaled down from 100pF to 20pF. During capacitance scaling, we observe that there is no change in clock power, logic power and signal power. Thermal Aware design is current research area. Analysis has been at two temperatures that is at 25 degree Celsius and at 50 degree Celsius. At the end we can conclude that the maximum power is consumed at 2.2GHz and minimum power is consumed at 1.2GHz. In respect of capacitance maximum power is consumed at 100pF and minimum power is consumed at 20pF at both temperatures at 25 degree Celsius and 50 degree Celsius.

This study investigated the effects of cervical stabilization and breathing retraining exercises to improve respiratory function in elderly stroke patients.Forty-five subjects were randomly allocated to three groups (each group, n=15). The exercise was performed five times a week for 6 weeks after general characteristics were confirmed. Experimental group1 performed cervical stabilization and respiratory breathing retraining exercises for 30minute in addition to conventional exercises. Experimental group2 performed respiratory breathing retraining exercises in addition to conventional exercises, and the control group performed self-respiration exercises for 30 min. An experienced physiotherapist provided a demonstration before the patients were assessed, and then the subjects were instructed to breathe only with their mouth in a sitting position with their pelvic joints and knee joints naturally flexed. Forced vital capacity (FVC) was measured to check for restrictive lung disease, and forced expiratory volume at one second (FEC1) was measured to check for obstructive lung disease. In a comparison of groups, there were significant differences in FVC not only between experimental group 1 and the control group but also between experimental group 2 and the control group. The cervical stabilization and respiratory breathing retraining exercises were more effective for FVC than the self-respiration exercises. This result may represent improvement in overall respiratory function and show that cervical stabilization and respiratory breathing retraining exercises are helpful for improving activities of daily living and motor function by increasing respiratory function in stroke patients.

Smog hanging over cities is the most familiar and obvious form of air pollution. The effects of inhaling particulate matter have been studied in humans and animals and include asthma, lung cancer, cardiovascular issues, and premature death. There are, however, some additional products of the combustion process that include nitrogen oxides and sulfur and some un-combusted hydrocarbons, depending on the operating conditions and the fuel-air ratio. Tuning the fuel to air ratio caused to control the lung cancer. Lung cancers are tumors arising from cells lining the airways of the respiratory system. Design of a robust nonlinear controller for automotive engine can be a challenging work. This research paper focuses on the design and analysis of a high performance PID like fuzzy controller for automotive engine, in certain and uncertain condition. The proposed approach effectively combines of design methods from linear Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller and fuzzy logic theory to improve the performance, stability and robustness of the automotive engine. To solve system’s dynamic nonlinearity, the PID fuzzy logic controller is used as a PID like fuzzy logic controller. The PID like fuzzy logic controller is updated based on gain updating factor. In this methodology, fuzzy logic controller is used to estimate the dynamic uncertainties. In this methodology, PID like fuzzy logic controller is evaluated. PID like fuzzy logic controller has three inputs, Proportional (P), Derivative (D), and Integrator (I), if each inputs have 𝑁 linguistic variables to defined the dynamic behavior, it has 𝑁×𝑁×𝑁 linguistic variables. To solve this challenge, parallel structure of a PD-like fuzzy controller and PI-like fuzzy controller is evaluated. In the next step, the challenge of design PI and PD fuzzy rule tables are supposed to be solved. To solve this challenge PID like fuzzy controller is replaced by PD-like fuzzy controller with the integral term in output. This method is caused to design only PD type rule table for PD like fuzzy controller and PI like fuzzy controller.

The aim of this study was to investigate the predictors of posttraumatic growth (PTG) after high risk pregnancy. Data were collected from 183 women who had obstetrical high risk using self-administered questionnaire including scales of Korean-Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (K-PTGI). Women were recruited from nine hospitals in P city, U city, and K-do in Korea, from February 2014 to December, 2014. Women with high risk during pregnancies reported PTG in a moderate degree after childbirth. PTG was significantly associated with maternal identity. Maternal identity, religion, age, and positive neonatal perception were significant predictors of PTG. The findings suggest that when promoting PTG of women with high risk during pregnancies, healthcare providers should adjust interventions to improve women’s maternal identity and positive perception about newborns.

Lung cancer is the most serious disease in the world and millions of people die of it every year. Because of the limitations of current treatment processes, it is difficult to cure lung cancer if the patient is no longer in the early stages. Therefore, it is necessary to diagnose lung cancer as early as possible, thereby increasing the chances to cure it. The Fuzzy Interactive Naïve Bayesian (FINB) network is a new Bayes network that can be used to classify lung cancer by using microarray data sets. The FINB network is an interactive network and every attribution has an interactive parent and with a weight on the relationship that shows the interaction of the attribution in the data set. In our experiments, we use the gene expression profiles from the Affymetrix Human Genome U133 Plus 2.0 microarray. We use the Neural Network with a Weighted Fuzzy Membership Function (NEWFM) to train the data set and reconstruct the Fuzzy Interactive Naïve Bayesian network. Then we compare the results with Tree augment naïve Bayesian (TAN) network. We conclude that the FINB network performs better than the TAN network.

The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between physical and cognitive functions and depressive symptoms in elderly women with dysmobility syndrome. For this study, data on 6,070 elderly women were used and 43 of these women had dysmobility syndrome. The tools used in this study were the Physical Functioning (PF) Scale, Mini-Mental State Examination-Korean Version (MMSE-K), and the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D)-short form. The level of physical function was significantly lower in the dysmobility syndrome group than in the normal group equivalents. Depressiveepressive epressive epressive epressive symptoms symptoms symptoms symptoms symptoms were significantly negatively correlated with physical function and each of its sub-categories in the dysmobility syndrome group. Multiple regression analysis results indicated that the only predictor of depressive symptoms among elderly women with dysmobility syndrome was PF 5 (the muscle strength of the upper limbs, β = -3.031, P = 0.004), which explained 41.4% of the variance in depressive symptoms (F = 6.985, P < 0.001). The analysis of newly suggested dysmobility syndrome-related factors is expected to help assess health status of elderly people

Anxiety is common emotions in predialysis patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The purpose of this study was to measure the anxiety in predialysis patients and to identify clinical variables that are associated with anxiety. The subjects for this study were 102 patients who visited the nephrology outpatient department of a tertiary hospital in Seoul between October 12th and October 26th, 2013 and consented to participate in the study. The collected data were analyzed by the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The mean score of anxiety was 12.2 which means their experience of high level anxiety and moderate and severe symptoms of anxiety were identified in 59.8% of the patients. There were significantly negative correlations between anxiety and residual renal function (r=-.221, p=.026). There was a significant difference in the anxiety of the subjects at each stage (F=4.54, p=.013). The Scheffe post hoc test confirmed that patients at Stage 5 had highest levels of anxiety. There were significantly positive correlations between anxiety and uremic symptoms (r=.481, p<.001). There were significantly negative correlations between anxiety and age (r=-.201, p=.045) and comorbidities (r=-.218, p=.028). Also, Age, GFRs, comorbidities and uremic symptoms predicted value accounted for 57.2% of the variance on anxiety (F=11.77, p<.001). Hence, health care providers should be concerned about helping to slow the progression of renal failure and considered related variables when planning an approach towards managing the anxiety in predialysis patients with CKD.

This study aimed to investigate the level of verbal abuse and emotional labor and clinical practice stress of nursing students during clinical practice and determine the effects of the exposure to verbal abuse on emotional labor and clinical practice stress. 212 nursing students, who were juniors and seniors performing clinical practice in Seoul, participated in this study and the data were collected from October to November 2013. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Significant positive correlation was found among verbal abuse, emotional labor, and clinical practice stress; verbal abuse accounted for 10.4% of emotional labor and 33.8% of clinical practice stress. These results demonstrate that nursing students are exposed to verbal abuse during clinical practice and may consequently suffer from greater practice stress and emotional labor. The results are expected to be used as fundamental data that can help improve the quality of practical education and the practice environment and develop nursing education programs.

In a descriptive cross-sectional study, 233 female college students who study at S university were included. They completed an online structured survey containing the menstrual distress questionnaire and menstrual coping responses. The mean of menstrual distress experienced by participants was 2.51 in a scale of 1 to 5. The mean score of subcategories of menstrual distress was 2.61 for pain, 2.14 for impaired concentration, 2.52 for behavior change, 2.31 for autonomic reactions, 2.69 for water retention, and 2.82 for negative affect. The subjects used an average of 9.38 coping responses out of a possible 24 items to cope with their menstrual distress, and also that the ones they used were less effective. Also, the study found a negative affect of menstrual distress was correlated with avoidant coping of menstrual coping responses. Therefore, it is necessary to educate female college students to recognize the period properly and manage their menses symptoms in a positive and effective manner.

Korea is currently faced with severely declining birth rates and an increasing aging population. In particular, the decrease of the productive population is expected to have a huge effect on health insurance finances, and demands from different industries to revise the health insurance policy paradigm based on the past fairness are growing. This article aims at diagnosing Korea’s health care environment theoretically, by analyzing the critical juncture. It also presents future goals and directions for Korea’s health insurance policies by comparing them to this newly constructed paradigm. Results of the literary analysis show that first, in the new paradigm, efficiency and productivity are pursued as the core values. The essence of the insurance premium levying system, improvements of the operating system and wage structure, and allowing exemptions of combined examinations are designed to overcome problems with internal inefficiency and institutional productivity. Second, instead of the treatment-oriented approach of the old paradigm, an attempt was made in the new paradigm to focus on disease prevention and management. This is a preventive approach that promotes disease prevention and customizes health improvement projects using large scale data in order to achieve sustainable medical welfare. Third, the new paradigm is being converged into a global level health insurance policy paradigm. This reflects the OECD recommendations well and is expected to develop at an international level through exchange and cooperation.

Presence of artifacts in electroencephalographs (EEG) is major hurdles for the precise analysis of spectral behavior. For suppression of ocular artifact in EEG this paper proposes a component based Independent Component Analysis (ICA) model. It involves the generating a set of individual components of given signal followed by rejection of unwanted artifacts. Further this paper presents a novel method with combination of ICA, information sharing and double density wavelet transform to reject the artifacts from the signal. The Independent Component Analysis (ICA) here is used to segment artifact peaks in the signal. Then the Discrete Wavelet Transform is applied for multi-level transfer of signal data until the reception of significant result. The Wavelet ICA suppression not only removes artifacts but also preserves the spectral and coherence properties of brain signals.

Water intake is important for health as it helps build the resilience of respiratory organs, especially among elderly people. However, elderly individuals are unaware of appropriate ways to consume water including adequate intake, timings, frequency, etc. This study attempted to identify the potential for consuming water, existing problems, types of consumers, and water intake behavior fornewseniors. Survey and in-depth interview data were collected, and a “persona” was used to understand new seniors’ goal and needs. The results showed that they struggled to adhere to habitual water consumption. Further, a smart water bottle that guides users to consistently drink appropriate amounts of water was addressed by applying the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to health care services.
