This research sets out to examine the basic forms of expression in GYARU make-up and understanding of correlation with areas of cultural arts so that they can be used as preliminary cosmetological data, and reached the following results. Simplicity, which means the reduction of ‘single form’ and ‘single color’, has the most fundamental base among the characteristics of minimalism. From this point of view, GYARU(ギャル) make-up freely expresses skins and eyes only with one color of black, which leads to plural features. Future-oriented characteristic shows a radical tendency that is totally different from past concepts of arts, it moved away from established ideas by giving variety to .forms and materials. Furthermore, the shape of eyelashes is countless, and expressed forms that are barely seen in the existing beauty make-up with special cosmetic materials. Emphatic inclination is based on simplicity, and it represents ‘one point’ make-up that extremely emphasizes on one part to strongly portray skins. As a result, it is clear that the minimalism consists only of ‘minimum factors’ and has a characteristic of restraint.

The study treats the contents about what variation of the point make-up, one of the color make-up techniques, shows the image effect of seeming younger than actual age, namely young face image effect. And the study also shows the degree of the preference for the young face image make-up and how effectively making up with the color cosmetics affects the young face image. They got the treatment of the modified make-up based on the basic information about the before-treatment make-up. Based on their pictures before and after the treatment, the questionnaire survey was conducted for three hundred females of 20s∼50s age, and the result is that the satisfaction with the young face image make-up is very high with 96.3%. and the response of “looking younger after the treatment than before” mostly occupies about 86.3%. Analyzing the result of this questionnaire survey, the kinds of the point make-up to influence the young face image are composed of cheeks make-up(27.3%), lips make-up(25%), highlighting make-up(21.7%), and eyes make-up(20.7%), of which the rates show the uniform distribution as a whole, and the result shows all kinds of the point make-up has an effect on the young face image. In conclusion, Seeing the degree of the high satisfaction with the young face image effect by the color make-up, the validity of the young face make-up was proved

In modern society diverse individuals and objects mingle with each other and what was the existing center and new cultural features and systems are coexisting in a various way. The basics of the Western metaphysics, origin, center, presence etc and logo-centrism are denied and what was constructed by them in the inside rather than tradition or word-centrism being destructed from the outside is de-constructed from the bottom or deformed to break the existing stereotype as apparent phenomena. It can be said this deformation is social and cultural phenomena of the flow of the times and fashion is a mirror of the age to reflect a critical mind and social phenomena in the reality and social change is exerting a huge influence on the fashion trend, and the very fashion trend to reflect a number of effects in the overall social and cultural environments is making a effect on fashion makeup design as well. As mentioned above, it can be said that makeup design is a medium to be closely associated with fashion, and is a external artwork where human will and consciousness are expressed and appear including their esthetic values and attitudes. Nevertheless, since there are not enough systematic precedent studies on makeup design in fashion, based on this we are to propose possibilities of new interpretation of makeup design in the fashion show and a variety of expressions to apply deformation of many formative elements, and provided theoretical data of studying total fashion of the future.

In this research, whose subject is how the Art Deco architectural style influenced on modern make-up, by understanding how the Art Deco architectural style influenced on modern make-up, we tried to utilize the obtained research results as fundamental cosmetic and aesthetic data and to increase aesthetic values of modern people. From the research, we could conclude as follows. Above all, in the sense that design of modern make-up is similar to that of the Art Deco architectural style, we could find that the design of the Art Deco architectural style was applied to make-up as application of black lines or colorful gradations, white-toned skin expressions, etc. We also noticed that make-up styles with straight-line eyebrows or smoky make-up emphasizing eyes, etc. were already transformed their forms and expressed in make-up of modern people naturally. Likewise, artistic senses of the Art Deco style were shown to be applied to make-up appropriately and expressed variously also in modern make-up as geometric and moderate beauties.

This study was to examine changes in college students’ knowledge and attitude toward the Aged after the beauty volunteer program for the elderly. A beauty volunteer program for 202 seniors aged over 65 years who lived in Jeong-eup rural area was conducted once a week for four months from July 11 to November 21 in 2009. It consists of hair cut, permanent wave, hair coloring, foot and leg massage. For this study, college students who are majoring in beauty arts were divided into two groups according to the participation of the beauty volunteer activity: the experiment group (N=30), and the control group (N=30). Their knowledge towards the elderly were measured by the FAQ1 revised by Yang et al. The attitudes towards the elderly were examined by the semantic differential scale developed by Sanders et al. The results of this study were as follows: 1) There was no differences about the student’s knowledge toward elderly after the beauty volunteer program between the experiment and control groups. 2)The experiment group was significantly more positive attitudes toward the elderly after the beauty volunteer program. However, the control group was not significantly different in their attitudes toward the elderly before and after the beauty volunteer program. These results suggest that the beauty volunteer program for the elderly is to improve college students’ attitudes toward the elderly.

This study aims to examine how the meridian system of bio-energy flowing in a living body affects our human body; thereby, it has studied the possibilities of meridian massage for obesity management by conducting meridian massage being widely used for body care to females for lower body care for five weeks. This article chose 10 female subjects and conducted meridian massage to them in the same environment using the same techniques. Their femoral region was measured by the unit of centimeters, and they received lower body care for five weeks. According to the result of it, the diameter of their thigh decreased as followings: left 1.5 cm and right 0.5 cm in testee 1, left 0.5 and right 0.3 in testee 2, left 0.4 and right 0.2 in testee 3, left 1.5 and right 1 in testee 4, left 0.5 and right 0.5 in testee 5, left 2 and right 2.5 in testee 6, left 0.5 and right 0.3 in testee 7, left 1 and right 0.5 in testee 8, left 1 and right 1 in testee 9, left 0.5 in testee 10. And the diameter of their calf also decreased as followings: left 0.5 in testee 1, left 0.5 in testee 3, left 0.4 and right 0.4 in testee 4, right 0.4 in testee 5, left 1 and right 1 in testee 6, left 0.5 in testee 8, left 0.5 and right 0.5 in testee 9, and left 0.2 and right 0.5 in testee 10. There were subtle differences among the testees; however, the one showing an effect fastest indicated decrease up to 0.2 cm each week, and the total decrease reached 2.5cm after five weeks. It was also found that other testees showed decrease from 0.5 cm up to 1 cm after five weeks. This study was conducted to figure out how meridian massage being widely used for body care affects women’s lower body management. Based on the result, it is thought that meridian massage has a positive effect on lower body obesity management. And it is expected that obesity management by dietetic treatment and the use of obesity treatment tools for beauty along with meridian massage will exhibit greater effects. Moreover, based on the result of this study, it is also considered that continuous interest in and research on the effects of meridian massage being widely used for lower body obesity treatment should continue

This study is about university students opinion of facial skin and skin care. To investigate the satisfaction and awareness of skin, a questionnaire were carried out about university male and female students different skin problem, use of cosmetics, and interest in skin. The purpose of this study is to carry out proper skin care to solve skin problems and to develop a skin care program and an educational base material. For the questionnaire 400 university students in Daegu participated from September 1th to September 30th 2010. The questionnaire were composed of general characteristics (7questions), skin awareness (6questions), skin care method (6questions), experience of skin care and intention (3questions), skin condition (12questions). For the analysis were used SPSS statistics(Version 17.0) program to examine general characteristics and related question frequency analysis and for the questions significance test were used cross tabulation. Also to find the whole value of each question points were given as yes(3points), usual(2points), no(1point), and the average and standard deviation were calculated, and to find the significance T-test and Anova analysis were conducted. And the reliability of skin, skin care method, experience of skin care were conducted with Cronbach Alpha reliability analysis that showed a reliability of 0.796.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the crossover makeup presented in the fashion collection and the mass media in 2010 and 2011 with the five types such as a crossover makeup by the form, the material, the sense, the color and the purpose and the transition of location. The result of this study were as follow. First, unlike the general makeup pattern, through the eyebrow, eye shadow, eye line, lip makeup by the distortion of exaggeration or reduction and the contrast to each other by creating a fresh sense of beauty, the crossover makeup style can be achieved. Second, the combination of natural and artificial material, or the combination of feminine materials and otherwise induce a sense of surprise using a combination of materials like a different texture, transparency and gloss to capture the crossover. A combination of matte and glossy, matte and Cubic, matte and pearls, glitter and sheer material with a variety of plastic material made of a combination of contrast image with a fresh and fun feel to give a new sense of a crossover makeup. Third, the heterogeneous combinations of sexy and innocent, feminine and manish, contrasting images into new images can give the freshness. Fourth, the colors used in harmony with the existing methods do not use, unconventional color conveys a strong image. This study appears in the smoky eyed makeup for modern makeup, which focused on romantic and manish sensibility. this Smoky makeup study for the representation of the components in the category include the eyebrows (shape, color), eye makeup (shape, color), lip cosmetics (color), etc. were analyzed by segmentation. The materials for study of smoky makeup are collect and analyzed from domestic-related books, leading articles, literary research was utilizing Encyclopedia, fashion collection photo, and take advantage of the website has photos.

The main purpose of this study was to examine the influence of facial treatment methods on skin conditions of facial. The facial treatment methods(cleansing, exfoliation, manual technique, pack/mask, use of cosmetics) and skin conditions of face(pores, pigmentation, wrinkles, skin color, erythema) of about 40's womens was analyzed. The data were measured from 48 female. Facial treatment index was constructed by using a questionnaire that surveyed facial treatment methods of participants. Skin conditions of face were measured by using ROBO SKIN ANALYZER(RSA), and observed the effect of facial treatment methods in a condition of post-experiment with taking facial treatment during three weeks compared to pre-experiment. Results showed that facial treatment methods improved skin conditions of facial. There were significant effect of cleansing method on the condition of pores, exfoliation method on the conditions of pores and erythema, manual technique on the conditions of pores and pigmentation, wrinkles, pack/mask method on the conditions of pores and erythema, use of cosmetics on the condition of pigmentation. Based on these findings, the implication of this study and the directions for further research were discussed.

The object in this study is to exam the effect of manual technic and high frequency units on face. the study target was J college students who volunteered and understood the significance in this study. 20 volunteers divided into 2 groups; 10 for manual technic group, 10 for high frequency unit group. we could get following results after each treatments. In manual technic group, earlobe to chin length and corner of mouth to earlobe length before and after the change in the level of the experimental results show a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). but Frequency Management Group, the facial dimensions did not change significantly the results. The results seen in the buccinator a lot more or masticatory muscles developed model is significantly more from the face, I found that the reduction effect was evaluated.

Body painting is something to be imaged and reconstructed, using every tool and material to enable human bodies toexpress visually. Generally as it is painted on human bodies dimensionally unlike plane pictures drawn on a sheet of drawing paper, body painting can be defined as a work that its utmost beauty is designed and expressed and revitalized out of a mere static art work, after understanding of body lines, shapes, skeletal structures, characteristics of the skin on a regular basis. Today's body painting shows that the artists' symbolic concepts are concretely expressed on human bodies through creative formations and contents, and that there are various expressions of liberal and subjective personalities and their unlimitedness, staying away from a former traditional fixed idea of beauty. With one of these characteristics, we can explain an idea of grotesque. Grotesque, which can be represented as disharmony, tragedy or comedy, extreme, exaggeration, and abnormality, was a western art style that dates back to the early Christian age of the Roman culture. It was a mode intricate with human, animal, and botanical factors complexly and elaborately. It has changed its features constantly from a notion about weird ornaments in the early 16th century to the tendency toward psychological disharmony and abnormal metamorphosis in modern times. Also, it can be said that Grotesque means not only weirdness and awfulness, but also a beauty a lot of meanings can be applied to. We will be able to understand the characteristics and history of Grotesque, and we will make clear the variety of the body painting and its artistic development process based on Grotesque Expressionism in the contemporary body painting through this study of body painting. In addition, we will analyze various features of the body painting, escaping from its former traditional notion of beauty and expressing human's inner world with cultural developments in this study.

In this study, I was investigated for the application of an Chrmaecyparis obtusa in Jeonnam which has been composed of various phytoncide compounds. I was tried antimicrobial test by disk method. Antimicrobial activities of the Chrmaecyparis obtusa essential oil in Jangseong, Jeonnam was compared with Citrus junos in Goheung and Chrmaecyparis obtusa water by 9 species of body flora. The antimicrobial potencies of Chrmaecyparis obtusa essential oil very higher than Citrus junos and Chrmaecyparis obtusa water with cultural bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Sarcina lutea, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Escharichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Proteus vulgaris, Proteus mirabilis, Candida albicans. It was concluded that antimicrobial activities of Chrmaecyparis obtusa essential oil which may be an effective functional cosmetic ingredient as acne, dandruff, atopy, natural preservative, nail goods or food flavor or living goods such as detergent, toothpaste, soap etc.

Oily Skin 20 men and women in 8 patients July 14, 2010 to August 31, 2010 2 times a week for four weeks ultrasound equipment maintenance was performed. To verify the effect of oily skin, improve water and oil, melanin and erythema, pH, TEWL as a non-invasive measurement methods are analyzed and compared by measuring. In this study, after 4 weeks in men and 18.69% increase in moisture, oil has a 26.07% reduction, a decrease 4.63% melanin, and erythema with a 6.64% reduction, skin surface pH of 4.08 to 5.31 and became, TEWL and 6.50% change and showed an increase of women in group 4 weeks after the moisture content decreased 3.45%, 10.50% reduction in oil, 1.80% decrease in melanin, and 1.92% reduction in erythema, pH, 7.94% indium, TEWL 15.87% of the variation, respectively. Thus, in women than in men's skin moisture content (p<.01), increased the amount of melanin, the skin surface pH (p<.01) showed that the improvements, oil and TEWL showed a decrease. In this study, ultrasound equipment improve the management of oily skin is proven to be effective, Fiji, for removing and cleaning effect is presented as a case management program.
