This research sets out to examine the basic forms of expression in GYARU make-up and understanding of correlation with areas of cultural arts so that they can be used as preliminary cosmetological data, and reached the following results. Simplicity, which means the reduction of ‘single form’ and ‘single color’, has the most fundamental base among the characteristics of minimalism. From this point of view, GYARU(ギャル) make-up freely expresses skins and eyes only with one color of black, which leads to plural features. Future-oriented characteristic shows a radical tendency that is totally different from past concepts of arts, it moved away from established ideas by giving variety to .forms and materials. Furthermore, the shape of eyelashes is countless, and expressed forms that are barely seen in the existing beauty make-up with special cosmetic materials. Emphatic inclination is based on simplicity, and it represents ‘one point’ make-up that extremely emphasizes on one part to strongly portray skins. As a result, it is clear that the minimalism consists only of ‘minimum factors’ and has a characteristic of restraint.

The mental foundation and cultural environment can be inferred by examining women’s sense of beauty through make up culture in each age. A comparative analysis was performed between Sanyeodo in China and Miindo in Chosun to see association in make up culture, which obtained the following results : First, women in both countries had dual types of make up culture by the social status and preferred the white skin and clean and graceful makeup to match the Oriental idea that a respectable woman is beautiful. Second, standards for beauty in both countries included virtuous looks and sexual charms, the oval and round face, the large forehead, the rich jaws, thin and dark arch-shaped eyebrows, small and gentle eyes, and red lips. Third, Chosun was significantly affected by the Chinese sense of beauty, looks of beauties, and make up techniques, but changed and developed the Chinese culture of showy and heavy makeup into Korean culture to meet its sentiment wisely in pursuit of women’s inner and outer beauty and tried to develop makeup techniques to meet Korean climates rather than to follow those of China unconditionally

Aroma therapy is absorbing the volatile scented essential oils, which was extracted from various flower, fruit, stem, leaf, root of a plant and promotes beauty of body and skin. The effects of aroma therapy are mainly on the nerve sedative effect, excellence in beauty, purifying the grounding, and smooth organic function. The most effective way in aroma therapy is inhalation. Scent delivers the signal directly to limbic system through the olfactory nerves. Bathing method is most effective way to enjoy the aroma therapy at home. Enjoying the scent comes from the tub and taking bath relives the fatigue and softens the muscles and nerves. Steam method is effective for promoting blood circulation, providing moisture, removing wastes, promoting metabolism, promoting sweating, and deep cleansing. Compressing method shows consistent effect on the muscle pain, bruise, treatment of acute and chronicle disease, which removes the fatigue and effective for the relief of pain, improvement of blood circulation, smooth the limp gland, and remove the congestion of blood. Massage method can relieve the headache, pain of delivering women, stress, mental fatigue, physical pains and tension, also removes the wastes deriving from the metabolism, thus promotes the metabolism, statue of skin, circulation, limp drainage, flexibility of joint, relief of muscle. You must use the 3% essential oil diluted in carrier oil. Due to the essential is highly concentrated, imprudent use can be harmful. It is not important to use in a statue of original oil, when using the method of bath, inhalation and ramp diffusion, though it must be diluted and used in and massage method. Without understanding of essential oil, using aroma therapy can cause the side effect, before using it consult with the expertise. Aroma therapy is as the alternative medicine, it is very useful to our life, though the prior understanding of essential oil and aroma therapy need to be preceded. As the cure all does not exist in this world, imprudent and excessive misuse can be harmful.

This study addressed the make-up style of the 2004s and the 2004s most produced in the 2007s. As a result, the following make-up style was classified as the following.First, it could be found that the glamorous style was not the blind imitation of the past but the co-existence of several styles, and that it shared with the thought and drift of the times and was reproduced and modified in several forms. The glamorous style represented voluptuous beauty in naturalness through the influence of naturalism in the first half of the 2004s., introduced the future feeling and the metallic feeling through the diversification of materials and the development of technology, and promoted somewhat provoking voluptuous beauty. In the latter half of the 2007s the make-up style was changed into chic glamorous style that smacked of gentle decadent beauty. Second, the baby-doll style is characterized the fact that it git away from the extreme and artificial eye make-up of the 2004s and somehow emphasized feminality. Third, the pattern of geometrical make-up influenced by the thought of art made an expression of expressionist, cubist, surrealist and impressionist make-up as well as op art though the influence of the modern and contemporary thoughts of art, ranging from color to color scheme, motive and so on. It is proceeding to extending its domain from the existing typified and interesting make-up to the artistic make-up free senses.

This study focused on development of diversified designs including Nail Art Tip, Pedicure Art Tip and Accessory Earing that could be utilized by nailists in a short period of time, breaking away from simple care and color coordinating procedure, in order to maximize artistic efficiency (effective value) of nail art and to ensure development of domestic nail industry and for this objective, by understanding and analyzing painting pattern and its symbolic implication of Wassily Kandinsky, it has been applied for nail art design. When summarizing the result of study into three categories by this researcher, it is as follows. First, diversified nail design has been composed with taking growth background of Kandinsky, historical technique and characteristics of his works as motif. Second, a set of nail tip, fedi tip, earing and even key holder have been manufactured by applying nail art techniques including hand painting, a plain art technique, and spangle, a cubic art technique, through utilization of nail art object such as chain, line parts and glitter with taking composition by intentionally arranging geometric form instead of realistic form that is a characteristic of abstraction, and non-figurative painting of improvisation type that expressed just a simple uncontrolled feeling as motif.
