Purpose : The purpose of this study is to analyze the smoking cessation program planning ability of health managers and determine the impact of such ability on the promotion of workplace smoking cessation programs. Methods : The subjects of the study were a total of 288 health managers, and self-reported online survey was conducted to collect the data. The variables that affected the promotion of smoking cessation programs were then analyzed. Results : According to the results of a multiple regression analysis on the factors influencing the implementation of smoking cessation programs, the model was found to be statistically significant with an explanatory power of 39.6%. Smoking cessation program planning ability, gender, current work experience, educational experience related to smoking cessation program implementation, and industry sector were identified as significant influencing factors. Conclusion : It is necessary for health managers to improve their planning ability in order to promote professional and systematic smoking cessation programs in the workplace. In this regard, it is necessary to develop a customized training program that takes into account the personal and workplace characteristics of health managers.

Purpose : This study attempted to verify the effectiveness of a self-management program based on autogenic training to reduce job stress among research workers. Methods : The study was designed to compare the effects on psychological and physiological stress responses by applying a self-management program based on Autogenic Training for a total of 8 weeks, consisting of 4 weeks of face-to-face training and 4 weeks of non-face-to-face support program on research workers. This is a quasi-experimental study using an equivalence control group before and after the design. The subjects of the study were 49 research workers who volunteered at a research institute and were at high risk of job stress; 24 in the experimental and 25 in the control group. Results : As a result of applying a self-management program based on Autogenic training on research workers, positive effects were seen in sympathetic nerve activity, high coherence, and insomnia in the experimental group after 4 weeks of experimental intervention, and subjective stress after 8 weeks of experimental intervention. Positive changes were seen in reactivity, trait anxiety, state anxiety, high coherence, salivary cortisol, and insomnia. Conclusion : It is believed that a self-management program based on autogenic training can be applied as an efficient nursing intervention method to relieve the stress of research workers with high job stress, which ultimately improves cardiovascular disease, anxiety, and sleep patterns caused by stress. It is thought to contribute to improving the quality of life.

Purpose : The present study aimed to compare and analyze the characteristics of occupational injuries and illnesses among cooking workers with those in other occupations. Methods : Analyzing 1,001,731 occupational accidents from 2013 to 2022, we categorized occupations into cooking workers and other occupations. Descriptive statistics, χ2 analysis, and charts were used to analyze the differences using SAS 9.4. Results : Cooking workers, primarily consisted of elderly females in small-scale establishments with fewer than 5 employees, showed a higher prevalence of incidents such as falls, musculoskeletal disorders, and burns. Challenges persist, particularly regarding unresolved issues and heightened anxiety related to occupational cancer recognition, leading to job turnover. Conclusion : Consequently, addressing various contributing factors to occupational incidents among cooking workers requires a preventive approach with complex intervention strategies rather than simple causal analysis.

Purpose : This study analyzes North Korea's smoke-free policy through the country's anti-smoking law and examines its effectiveness among North Korean workers. Methods: We conducted an exploratory study due to a lack of relevant prior research, and mainly cited related papers, books, news and articles from domestic and foreign media. Results: North Korea's smoke-free policy is not effective enough for North Korean workers, and additional efforts are needed on several aspects. Conclusion: In order for North Korea's anti-smoking law and smoke-free policy to have a successful impact on North Korean workers, realistic efforts at the legal, industrial, and socio-cultural levels are needed, and ongoing monitoring and research are required.

Purpose : This study aimed to identify the latent classes of job satisfaction and predictors for each latent class among young healthcare professionals, thereby provide fundamental information on developing strategies to enhance their job satisfaction. Method: The study used 2021 Youth Panel data. The subjects for this study were 312 individuals currently employed, who indicated their occupation as healthcare professionals based on the job code. As for the data, latent class analysis was performed on work contents, self-development, salary, work environment, and relationships using Mplus 8.5; multinominal logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the predictors for each latent class of job satisfaction using SPSS 27.0. Results: The latent classes of job satisfaction were classified into three groups: low, moderate, and high levels of job satisfaction. Predictors for the latent classes included career development, adaptive abilities for changes, grade point average, and subjective health status. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it should be considered to provide a variety of information on career fields in college curricula to guide students to choose and prepare for their own career paths. Furthermore, a systematic approach is required to improve grade point average, change adaptability, and health status in young adulthood.

Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the factors influencing farmers' and fishermen's attitudes toward digital technology, efficacy with digital devices, and digital literacy skills in relation to the life satisfaction. Methods: Utilizing the data from the 2022 Digital Divide Survey, this study targeted 2,200 farmers and fishermen. Analytical methods included frequency analysis, independent sample t-tests, analysis of variance, and post hoc analysis. Additionally, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted to identify the factors affecting the life satisfaction. Results: The average attitude toward digital technology was 2.73±0.71 points (out of 4), efficacy toward digital devices was 2.31±0.76 (out of 4), digital literacy scored 2.30±4.07 (out of 5), and overall satisfaction was 2.54±0.48 (out of 4). Positive correlations were found between the life satisfaction and attitude toward digital technology (r=.33, p<.001), efficacy toward digital devices (r=.41, p<.001), and digital literacy (r=.42, p<.001). Regression analysis revealed that education level (elementary school graduate or under: t=-4.03, p<.001; middle school graduate: t=-2.51, p=.012) and efficacy toward digital devices (t=4.68, p<.001), and digital literacy (t=7.55, p<.001) significantly influenced the life satisfaction. These variables collectively explained 20% of the variance in the life satisfaction among farmers and fishermen. Conclusion: In light of these findings, enhancing the life satisfaction of farmers and fishermen requires the implementation of a tailored digital education program, specifically targeting individuals with low levels of education to enhance their skills and proficiency in using digital devices.
