Purpose : The purpose of the study is to find the effect of emotional labor and verbal violence experience on the turnover intention in clinical nurses. Methods : The subjects were 1,234 nurses who signed on a written consent of the research, working in the Gyeonggi provincial general hospitals. Total 1,021 data were used for the final analysis. Results : The score for the total emotional labor was 3.47±0.54 out of 5 points, the number of verbal violence by the patients or caregiver was 19.46 ±32.12, and the turnover intention was 2.55±0.96 out of 5 points, wherein the factors influencing turnover intention were emotional expression frequency (β=.13, p<.001), verbal violence from doctors(β=.10, p =.001), emotional expression caution (β=.07, p =.049). It is confirmed that the frequency of emotional expression, indiscreet emotional expression and experience of verbal violence have a significant effect on the turnover intention. Conclusion : In order to decrease the turnover intention of clinical nurses, it is necessary to reduce the frequency of emotional labor and emotional dissonance, and to prevent verbal violence from doctors and colleagues. Therefore, it is essential to prepare measures to manage emotional labor and reduce verbal violence in medical institutions.

Purpose : The study aims to provide a direction to prepare the preventive measures for effective fatigue management by grasping the effects of general characteristics, work-related characteristics, and health-related characteristics on sleep disorders for elderly workers in the construction industry. Methods : In the 6th Korean Working Conditions Survey, the frequency analysis and cross-tabulation analysis were conducted and analyzed through the logistic regression for the sleep disorders of 422 elderly construction workers Results : The factor influencing sleep disorders among elderly construction workers was whether handling chemical products. Those who handled them suffered more from sleep disorders than those not handling chemical products. And they also suffered more than the workers who were contented with systematic fatigue and health satisfaction. These results show that poor fatigue management due to sleep disorders of construction workers can lead to accidents in the workplace and health issues. Conclusion : It is necessary to distinguish, implement, and improve the contents of safety and health education from the general age group when educating elderly workers. Second, it is also necessary to establish work measures for elderly workers using complex senses. Finally, it is suggested that measures and policies should be made, considering safety measures such as excluding elderly workers form a hazardous workplace or preventing accidents from a fall.

Purpose: This study was conducted to analyze the factors affecting the perception of job importance of manufacturing occupational health managers in the manufacturing field. Methods: The subjects of this study were a total of 200 manufacturing workers, and a self-reported online survey was conducted to collect the data. Results: The average knowledge score was 7.81 out of 10 points and it revealed the higher the knowledge score on occupational health, the higher the perception of job importance of occupational health managers. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to increase the knowledge of occupational health and the ability of workers to protect themselves and cope with emergencies and harmful factors. In addition, it will be necessary to promote the occupational health care system operated by qualified health managers in the workplace. Also, continuing education for health managers should be supported to improve their educational and administrative competency, and to develop various skills of making educational contents.

Purpose: We intend to provide the basic data for the creation of a working environment and improvement of work methods to prevent burnout of female care workers by identifying the factors affecting their work burnout of female care workers. Methods: We used logistic regression analysis to analyze the relations of 1,159 people classified as care workers using the 6th Working Environment Survey. Results: There was a significant difference in the rate of experiencing burnout depending on the general, working environment, and health-related characteristics of female care workers. In general characteristics, workers in their 50s and older experienced more work burnout when the average working hours per week were over 40 hours. In work environment characteristics, the work of lifting or moving people and the work exhaustion of workers dealing with angry people caused more work burnout. In health-related characteristics, it was found that workers who suffered from work stress and experienced headache and fatigue experienced more work burnout. Conclusion: It is necessary to improve social awareness of care services and strengthen legal protective measures for care workers. It is also essential to prepare a detailed work manual suitable for care workers and to train coping. In addition, customized education and various programs for the physical and formal health of female care workers should be activated.
