코로나(corona) 시대 이후 우리는 다양한 삶의 도전에 반응해야 한다. 실제로 현 자들은 실존적 도전에 지혜로서 능숙하게 자비로운 반응성을 보인다. 즉 실용적인 지혜는 삶의 중대한 실존 문제에 대해 능숙하게 반응할 수 있는 것이다. 이때 나타 내는 능숙함이란 불교 심리학과 서양의 양자 모두에서 지혜의 정의와 특성에 직접 적으로 관련된다. 불교윤리에서의 지혜는 불교의 해탈에 대한 이해와 지적인 학습 에 근거한 수행에서 얻어지는 모든 현상과 체험적 통찰 및 일체지(一切智)인 깨달 음까지를 포함한다. 이러한 지헤 윤리의 운용은 지혜가 자비를 발현시키는 역할을 하며, 자비 사상을 실천하는 것에 먼저 수반되어야 할 것이 ‘지혜’의 함양임을 제시 한다. ‘지혜’와 ‘자비’는 불교윤리의 핵심적 요체라 할 수 있으며, 자비가 없으면 지 혜의 선법(善法)을 구축하려는 동기를 구하기 어렵다. 주지하듯이 불교윤리에서 지 혜·자비는 단순한 결정과 선택이 아닌 인격 형성의 토대를 이루는 윤리적 조건이며, 우리에게 ‘고통’이라는 근본적인 문제 해결의 실마리가 될 수 있는 중심적 요건이 다. 본 논문은 불교윤리의 지혜 특성에 나타나는 지적인 성찰을 통하여 보편적 윤 리 상황에서의 ‘지혜’의 역할과 불교 특성을 나타내는 ‘반야’의 본의를 살펴보려 한 다. 이것은 불교의 반야지혜에 대한 바른 이해를 통한 바른 인식으로 지혜로운 삶 을 고찰하기 위함이다. 바른 인식의 지혜를 통해 펜데믹(pandemic)시대 이후의 사 회변화에 대응하여 상호관계 확대와 관용에 의한 지혜가 우리의 삶을 얼마나 풍요 롭고 행복하게 만들 수 있는가에 대해 살펴보는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다.

Since the pandemic, we have to respond to various life challenges. Indeed, the wise men skillfully show a benevolent responsiveness as wisdom to existential challenges. In other words, practical wisdom is able to respond skillfully to life's vital existential problems. The proficiency displayed here is directly related to the definition and characteristics of wisdom in both Buddhist psychology and the West. The wisdom seen in Buddhist ethics includes all phenomena obtained from practice based on Buddhist relief understanding and intellectual learning, empirical insights, and enlightenment, which are integral. This practical operation plays a role in expressing mercy in wisdom. It can be seen that this is in line with the interdependence ethics implied in the idea of mercy of Buddhist ethics. In other words, the 'compassion' paradigm of Buddhist ethics contained in the mercy pavilion well represents other acting ethics that the interests of others must be together in order to obtain practical benefits. However, the first thing that must accompany the practice of mercy ethics is to gain wisdom. Wisdom and mercy can be said to be key elements of Buddhist ethics, and in the absence of mercy, it becomes difficult to obtain active means of establishing wisdom. As is well known, wisdom and mercy in Buddhist ethics are not just decisions and choices, but ethical conditions that form the basis of personality formation, and are central requirements that can serve as the basis for solving the fundamental problem of "pain." This paper examines the role of 'wisdom' in universal ethical situations and the nature of Buddhist wisdom[般若] which represents Buddhist characteristics through intellectual reflection on the wisdom characteristics of Buddhist ethics. This is to consider the wise life with a correct understanding of Buddhist wisdom[般若]. Through this process, we hope to reveal that the situational ethics of wisdom and mercy in the post-corona era can be realized as a result of mutual benefit.
