Recently, we have witnessed the definitely negative impacts of large-scale accidents happened in such areas as atomic power plants and high-speed train systems, which result in increased fear for the potential danger. The problems appear to arise due to the deficiency in the design of large-scale complex systems. One of the causes can be attributed to the design process that does not fully reflect the safety requirements in the early stage of the system development because of the substantially increased complexity. In this paper, to enhance the systems safety an integrated process is studied, which considers simultaneously both the system design process and system safety process from the beginning of the system development. In the conceptual system design phase an integrated process model is constructed by analyzing the activities of both the system design and safety processes. As a case study example, an inner city train system is described with the application of the developed process. The computer simulation of the example case is followed by the result discussed. The results obtained in the paper are expected to be the basis for the future study where a detailed process and its associated activities can be developed.

Especially because of the distinctiveness that new experiments and research provoke coexistence of various risk factors, the researchers in university laboratory are being exposed to incidents that are difficult to predict. Due to the fact that the numbers of accidents that occur at the university laboratory are increasing, the necessity for laboratory safety management is on the rise. Most laboratory accidents are caused by the ability that can detect risk factors such as unsafe behavior or unsafe condition but is not working perfectly. In order to prevent researchers in advance from unsafe behavior or unsafe condition, effective safety education, systematic safety management, safe research environment, continuous safety check and proper measures after accident are the most important factors. In this study, survey was conducted in university laboratory to identify the factors that affect on safety management and to measure the safety management level. As a result, effective measures are proposed for the improvement of the safety management level.

This study was conducted in order to assist with infusing safety consciousness and resolving insensitivity towards safety for industrial accident in workers, managers and executives of chemical companies. Among many industrial accident prevention methods, Korea has been mostly taking an engineering approach of preventing industrial accidents by replacing old machines with risks of an accident and through new facilities and equipments. Through an attitude survey of workers in large scale chemical companies, this study wished to examine the fact that the biggest reason why the accident rate for the past 10 years has not decreased is because safety consciousness has not been established yet.

Risk Assessment to list possible safety disasters and their probability and severity is the starting point for effective safety management on construction project site. However, the safety managers in owners, construction supervisors, contractors, and sub-contractors still have difficulties in judging the priorities of safety activities and preparing responses to each potential safety disasters. Therefore, this study aimed to suggest a systematic method in assessing safety risk prior to commencement with the agreement of stakeholders. FMECA(failure mode effects and criticality analysis) was selected as a main assessment tool and it was modified according to the characteristics of construction projects and trades. Each risk is, firstly, evaluated with occurrence probability, possible loss and impacts to projects, and detections, and then risk priority number(RPN) is calculated. Subsequently, the managers of each stakeholder discuss the types, timing, and responsibilities of responses as a group decision-making process.

Proportion of falling from height accident at construction work accounts for more than 40%, and the number of injuries is getting increased. So without considering falling from height, we can say that it's hard to achieve our goal(accident prevention). Another critical point that we have to think about theses days is the fact that construction workers are getting older. To be specific, the number of workers who are above 50 years old accounts for 65.6% among the fatalities(2007~2011, KOSHA inspection) Accordingly, to effectively prevent construction accedents, especially falls from height, we need to focus on motion analysis of older construction workers and then make suitable measures for growing accident rates at construction work.

Steel industry in Korea is a key national industry that has led economic growth for a long time. And accidents occurred from a variety of causes has endlessly made as much as remarkable achievements of steel industry. It is a fact that research achievements of disaster prevention in steel industry has not been significantly ,compared to production technique achievements . And the level of interest on safety management in the steel industry is conspicuously low. Although support activity for a various safety management are provided reasonably to prevent disasters occurring with subcontractors. A method capable of quantitative evaluation ,applied to subcontractors in most business places are relatively rare except parent firms-leading places. This study is to make and show safety management activities to purcue in advance in conjunction with a parent firm through development of a more systematic and quantitative evaluation model for disaster prevention with steel industry subcontractors, and to contribute to disaster prevention in domestic steel industry through advanced safety management method , by applying a proposed evaluation model of safety management activities as subcontractors in steel industry.

Preventing that transmission, especially in indoor environments like those in airplanes, schools and offices, is a major public health concern. in this study the real situation of lab which is consist of dilution, Ultraviolet-C based air sterilization system. This model include indoor microbe transport which is generated human source. a computer simulation was performed to determine if such simulation can be used effectively to predict the more accurate, but difficult to perform, actual physical experiment. Result show that CFD can be modeled microbe transport effectively and it can be visualized microbe transport separation from flow streamline. also it make a good prediction of microbe transport.

It is commonly recognized that railway is one of the representative transportation and it offers public service based on strategies for being rapid, automation, safety. Since the opening of high speed railway, 3-hundred-million people have used it and acknowledged its efficiency. However, derailed accident at Kwangmyeong station in February, 2011, frequent malfunction of KTX-Sancheon, and accidents by engineer's careless fault damaged on credibility of safety, Especially, spreaded accidents through social networking service by cell phones amplified anxiety of public, being criticized by the press. This study analyzed statistics of past accident and cases of passing-by accident, and surveyed 152 KTX captain engineers about their recognition of the accident by careless fault and experiences of possibility of occurrence for preventing engineer's careless fault and restoring trust According to the analysis, engineers worry about responsibility and disadvantages related to the accidents for the most, and they are nervous about malfunction for the second most. This study presents prevention methods regarding the result. First, it is required to improve mental stability and concentration on their work, secondly, advanced ability to cope with malfunction or error through repetitive education and training are required to increase confidence, and for the last, improvement of operational supporting system such as ATP, GPS to prevent errors by human factors. Improvement of the system is expected to lead engineers to prevent careless fault and regain the reputation of railway.

In this paper to prevent human errors analyzed the causes of railway accidents and human error in last 5 years(2007∼2011). The 2nd Railway Comprehensive Safety Plan currently being implemented in the safety business for prevention of human error. The accidents are often resulted from multiple causes with hardware failure and human errors. Recently, the breakdown of online banking servers and the leakage of customer information give rise to much concern about the security of information systems in financial and banking companies in Korea. The enforcement of security for information system becomes much more important issue than earlier. However, the security reinforcement of information system is restricted by a budget. In addition, the activities' cost to secure information system from threatening are under uncertain circumstances and should be established by a human decision maker who is basically uncertain and vague. Thus, making the budget for information system is exposed to any extent of the risk for these reasons. First, we introduce brief fuzzy set theory and fuzzy AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) methodology. Then, the cost elements that comprise yearly budget are presented and the priorities among the cost elements are calculated by fuzzy AHP. The cost elements that are exposed to risk are evaluated from the both perspectives of the risk impact and risk occurrence possibility which are expressed as linguistic terms. To get information on the risk profiles—pessimistic, most likely, and optimistic—for each cost element, the evaluation is accomplished and the result is presented. At last, the budget ranges—minimum, mode, maximum—for each cost element are estimated with the consideration of the risk profiles.

This study was conducted to evaluate the characteristics of exposure to asbestos for ship repair workers in Korea by a systematic review. The number of articles studying asbestos exposure levels from ship repair workplaces was found to be 4. All asbestos concentration reported as either geometric mean and geometric standard deviation or ranges were transformed to arithmetic mean to estimate exposure level. In addition, weighted arithmetic means(WAMs) were calculated by weighing of the different number of samples. The WAM concentrations were 2.746 f/cc during asbestos dismantling work, 0.034 f/cc before asbestos dismantling work and 0.065 f/cc after working respectively. The maximum airborne concentration of asbestos during asbestos removal work was 7.02 f/cc which was 70 times higher than the occupational exposure limit of Korea, 0.1 f/cc. This study recommends that retrospective exposure to asbestos based on various ship types and operations should be assessed.

In Korea more than 38,000 types of hazardous material(HAZMAT) are distributed, accordingly the accidents during transportation are also increasing. The agencies related to HAZMAT such as Environment Ministry, National Emergency Management Agency and National Police Agency have their own regulations. However, the classification criteria of HAZMAT are different to each other, which causes many problems in response to transportation accidents. In this study the classification standard of HAZMAT and the classification code using CAS number are suggested to manage HAZMAT efficiently. Through efficient management and standard classification of HAZMAT, the rapid and systematic response to transportation accidents related to HAZMAT is expected to be possible.

The objective of this paper is to propose a method of how to perform risk assessment in the early stage of defense research and development for the acquisition of weapon systems. An advanced method for risk assessment and its associated objective functions are developed first based on the concept of systems engineering. The developed method is then applied to carry out the analysis of alternatives in the trade-off environments. As a case study, the multi-purpose training ship is considered, where it is performed using the notions of technology readiness levels, degrees of difficulty, and technology need values to facilitate design space visualization and decision maker interaction. It is noted that decision makers can benefit from our approach as an improved risk assessment method in the context of multi-criteria decision making.

A*algorithm is highly useful to search the shortest route to the destination in the evacuation simulation. For this reason, A*algorithm is used to evaluate the evacuation experiment by the computer simulation. However there are some problems to analyze the outcome in relation to the reality. Because all the people in the building are not well-informed of the shortest route to the exit . And they will not move to the disaster spot though it is shortest route to the exit. Therefore, evacuation simulation program based on A*algorithm raise a problem of bottleneck phenomenon and dangerous result by damage surrounding the disaster spot. The purpose of this research is to prove the necessity for dispersion evacuation simulation by Multi agent system to solve the problems of the existing evacuation simulation program based on A*algorithm.

In the manufacturing process the most widely used chart has been applied to control the process mean. Also, Accelerated Life Test(ALT) is commonly used for efficient assurance of product life in development phases, which can be applied in production reliability acceptance test. When life data has lognormal distribution, through censored ALT design so that censored ALT data has asymptotic normal distribution, control chart integrating chart and ALT procedure could be applied to control the mean of process in the manufacturing process. In the situation that process variation is controlled, control chart is an effective method for the very small fraction nonconforming of quality characteristic. A simultaneous control scheme with control chart and control chart is designed for the very small fraction nonconforming of product lifetime.

This example was able to focus on the long usage of the pavement that it was merely through the oxidation of the asphalt pavement which it could contact with on the road in the industrial housing complex and correlation regulation of the asphalt subsidence with the load in basic Infra of the configuration. The problem in conjunction with the subsidence (transformation) was interpreted as a problem of the subsidence of each pavement layer to lead the subsidence of the road or the transformation to packaging side asphalt pavement, but the traffic number of times of the heavy vehicle highlights for main problems with the road where is concentrated. In the case of general asphalt paving, it thinks it exposes light, and to study a general phenomenon for the asphalt transformation and a cause for a pavement construction method and the property of material used for pavement and a complement method by the case study at this time of the compound with the heavy vehicle traffic that it can become clear that small success transformation occurs at a point in time when 1-2 years more pass, and a fatigue rift occurs by ultraviolet rays, the oxidation with the contact with the air afterwards, and described beginning to use by the above.

Since June 25th 1950, the beginning of the cold war (Korean war), Korean peninsula is still in a state of war. Officially South and North Korean government call a truceafter three years from the beginning day, however both countries are still having several combats in these days. So every Korean citizen male has duty for serving military duty and this lasts even after the serving regular military force, as reserved military. Although South Korea is very small country, the size of military is very large so informing all reserved military takes some time. Since this nation is confronting the enemy and considering the global potential threat, South Korean military needs expedite informing system to call up the reserved military to active duty. In this project, the current informing system has been analyzed and compared with the new method which is using social network service such as Twitter. However mobilization order is very critical. So in our new model there are two ways combined. Using twitter to inform and then use traditional ways to finish the order. This method will provide more efficient and accurate way to cover the call ups.

Since manufacturing and supplying corporations today come to view their practice of SCM as important, it becomes essential to analyze and control the structural relationship between the information sharing among corporations and the performances resulting from their practice of SCM. It is thus the purpose of this paper to examine the factors that may prompt corporations to implement SCM by means of analyses into the relationship between information sharing and practice of SCM which corporations should lay stress on as well as the relationship between financial and non-financial performances of corporations. The findings of the study can be summed up as follows: First, as for the relationship between information sharing among and practice of SCM by corporations, information sharing among corporations turned out to affect such factors of implementing their SCM as trust, commitment mutual dependence. Consequently, corporations are requested to endeavor to implement SCM itself faithfully if they really aim to achieve their performances by practice of SCM and, at the same time, to make efforts to obtain understanding and support for information sharing among themselves. Second, from the analysis of the relationship between SCM and financial as well as non-financial performances of corporations, it was found that trust, a factor of SCM practice, had influence upon non-financial performances of corporations, but not upon their financial performances, while commitment and mutual dependence affected both financial and non-financial achievements of corporations. Therefore, it was made clear from the analysis that the decision and systematic control of SCM activities which best suit to a corporation play an important role in improving its financial and non-financial performances, because they greatly depend on the implementing extent of SCM factors such as trust, commitment and mutual dependence among corporations.

Nowadays, logistics parks are no longer simply storage areas but rather the center of corporate supply activities. As the importance of logistics increases, so does the value of logistics related facilities. Unlike the past, in which the sole purpose of logistics services was the spatial movement of materials through transportation, modern logistics are required to carry out functions such as timely adjustment and swift adaptation to changing patterns, and this leads to the emphasis on forming logistics parks. Logistics parks make profits using the efficiency of time and space. Such logistics parks play an important role in a corporation creating operating profits as well as acting as a method of alternative investment for individuals. Logistics parks no longer simply store materials, but have become a place that plays an important role in various areas of corporate and individual activities, and thus the analysis of the selection of the location of logistics parks and the related characteristics is extremely important. There are many existing studies on the selection of locations of logistics parks but work on the factors related to location selection by industry seem lacking. As such, in the course of this study we have used preceeding studies to draft a questionnaire on which selection factors affect the selection of logistics park location in different industries and conducted empirical analysis of the questionnaire results to uncover the factors that affect the selection of the locations of logistics parks in different industries.

This research is a key words analysis on Radio Frequency Identification. Key words were collected from Korean research papers in the electronic library DBpia. 700 papers published from 2001 to 2011 were included. The number of collected key words is 1460. The trend of publishing research papers was increased rapidly from 2005, reached peak at 2009 and decreased after 2010. Majority of key words were related to hardware, information technology and standardization. Selected 128 key words were analyzed and clustered by social network analysis to find a relationship among key words on RFID.

소프트웨어 기반의 시스템 설계과정에서 설계자가 고려해야 하는 요소들이 다양해지면서 시스템 설계가 점점 어려워지고 있다. 다양한 설계 요소들이 존재하지만 사용자의 특성 및 직무, 사용가능한 정보기술의 특성 등이 핵심적인 요소로 간주된다. 또한 정보기술이 발달하면서 인간과 시스템의 상호작용이 점점 인지적인 특징을 지니게 되었다. 따라서 사용성 높고, 효율적이면서 안전한 소프트웨어 기반의 시스템을 개발하기 위해서는 시스템 설계자가 사용자의 인지적인 요구사항 및 그들의 직무를 시스템 설계과정에서 체계적으로 다룰 수 있어야 한다. 그러나 소프트웨어 공학, 시스템 공학 및 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용 등에서의 전통적인 시스템 설계 방법은 이러한 설계자의 설계활동을 효과적으로 지원하는데 한계가 있었다. 그 대안으로 인지시스템공학(cognitive systems engineering; CSE)은 인간중심의 설계철학을 바탕으로 소프트웨어 기반의 복잡한 시스템 설계과정에서 설계자의 활동을 체계적으로 도와줄 수 있는 유용한 개념과 방법을 제공해주고 있다. CSE는 원래 사람이 실시간으로 감시 및 제어해야 하는 복잡한 사회기술적 시스템(예: 원자력발전소 및 공항관제소)의 분석, 설계 및 평가를 위해 태동한 학문이다. 그러나 CSE에서 제공하는 이론적 및 방법론적 프레임워크는 소프트웨어 기반의 시스템을 설계하는 데에도 유용하게 활용할 수 있는 충분한 가능성을 갖고 있다. 이 논문은 CSE의 근간을 이루는 핵심 개념 및 원칙을 고찰하고 소프트웨어 기반 시스템 설계에의 활용가능성 및 그 방안을 논의한다.

This paper reviewed the relationship between information technology system and knowledge management activities, and the moderating effect of industrial type. The results of multiple regression analysis, based on the responses from 219 employees in manufacturing and financing service sector, showed that information technology infrastructure and information technology usage have positive effects on knowledge acquisition, knowledge transfer, and knowledge usage. In moderating effects, information technology infrastructure more positively related with knowledge acquisition in financing service sector than in manufacturing sector. And also information technology usage more positively related with knowledge transfer in financing service sector than in manufacturing sector.

In this study, reviewing the internal customer support activities and existing research on market orientation and then how it affects the future strategy for the internal customer support activities. Through the results of this study, first, to appear understanding of the effect of education and training to customers in enterprise-wide, strategic plan through competitor analysis, improved communication between departments, etc need to design to be effective in performance of company in a long term when in planning and training for employees such as job training, service training and training for improving service mind. Second, employment stability and internal communications to the employee's customer orientation showed no significant affect. This is considered for employees due to lack of fear or anxiety, so the employer could focus on his role in the current organization willing to participate actively for goals of the organization. Finally external customer orientation in the employee's customer orientation did not affect the analysis results which is appeared to in companies are constantly communicating with employees through the company's position and the difference between the employee's position is necessary to look for ways to narrow down.

조직에는 조직의 목적을 효율적으로 달성할 수 있도록 조직구성원들을 움직이게 하는 리더가 존재하게 된다. 조직 내에 달성해야 할 비전과 목표가 있고 그것을 수행해야 할 과업에 있어서 가장 필요한 것은 구성원들의 비전과 목표를 달성하기 위한 리더십이 중요한 요인이다. 리더십은 비전과 목표달성을 위해 다른 사람들의 행동에 영향을 미치는 과정이기 때문이다. 따라서 모든 유형의 집단이나 조직, 그리고 지역사회나 국가에는 효과적인 리더십이 필요하고 그 같은 효과적인 리더십을 발휘할 유능한 리더가 요구된다. 따라서 리더십은 모든 집단이나 조직의 중요한 자산이며 성공요인이 아닐 수 없다. 특히 중소기업의 경우 기업경영전반에 걸쳐 경영자의 기호나 의도에 따라 수시로 변하는 경우가 많고, 최고 경영자의 개인적 속성이 조직구조나 전략에 적지 않은 영향을 미치기 때문에 최고경영자의 리더십이 중소기업의 조직문화 형성에 대기업보다 훨씬 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 변혁적 리더십은 사장이 카리스마, 지적자극, 개별적 배려 등을 통해 종업원들에게 기대를 능가하는 최고의 노력을 발휘하도록 동기부여 시키는 것이다. 변혁적 리더십을 발휘하는 사장은 종업원들의 욕구수준을 높여 주고 자신감을 심어줌으로써 성공에 대한 확신을 높여준다면 종업원들로 하여금 조직에 대한 몰입을 이끌어 낼 수 있고, 보통이상의 추가노력과 낮은 이직의도를 거둘 수 있다는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 연구와 관련된 선행연구자들을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 연구모형을 설계하여 중소제조업체의 CEO들에게 요구하는 리더십모형을 제시하였다. 중소기업의 리더십 유형을 카리스마적, 전략적, 거래적, 변혁적 이론 등을 기본으로 하여 기업에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 이론을 통해 제시하였다. 이러한 리더십 유형들이 기업의 목표에 영향을 주는지를 분석한 후 여기에서 중소기업의 CEO에게 필요로 하는 리더십 유형을 제시하였다.

플라스틱 사출 제품은 다양한 가전제품과 하이테크 제품에 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 현재의 치열한 경쟁적 비즈니스 환경에서 플라스틱 사출 제품 제조업자들은 고객을 만족시키면서 경쟁력을 얻기 위하여 다른 경쟁자들보다 먼저 새로운 제품을 시장에 출시하고 신제품의 개발기간을 줄이기 위한 노력을 할 여유가 부족하다. 따라서 무한 경쟁의 시장에서 살아남기 위해서는 제조업자들은 시장 마켓 점유를 빠르게 올리는 것과 동시에 제품의 가격 경쟁력을 가져야 한다. 특징기반 모델의 구조는 현재 연구에서 3D 제작 도구로서 일반적으로 적용되고 있으며 신제품 개발 엔지니어들이 새로운 제품의 개념을 개발하는 데에도 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 특징기반 플라스틱 사출제품을 위한 유전자 알고리즘과 Support Vector Regression (SVR) 기반의 새로운 하이브리드 비용 평가 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 하이브리드 모델은 기존의 플라스틱 사출제품의 비용평가절차와 계산을 위해 필요로 하는 변수들을 극적으로 간단하게 하고 줄일 수 있다. 사례연구에서는 제안하는 하이브리드 모델과 기존의 multilayer perceptron networks (MLP) 및 pure SVR과의 비교분석을 통하여 제안모델이 플라스틱 사출 제품의 개발단계에서의 비용평가문제를 해결하는데 효율성과 효과성이 있음을 입증한다.
