As IT-related projects become larger and more complex, it is difficult to successfully complete an IT project without high-level management capabilities. Accordingly, the Project Management Office (PMO), an organization specializing in project management to solve organizational, technical, and managerial problems related to project management, was introduced. The introduction of PMO is emerging as an important task for organizational development and project success, and PMO is a universal approach for IT project management. In this study, based on the PMO function researched by previous researchers, the proportion of public (defense) business managed through the introduction of a legal PMO system in the IT field and a separate dedicated management organization are required, as information systems have been expanded and the size of the input resources has increased. In addition, the important functions of PMOs in the private business sector are analyzed comprehensively through cases, and additionally, in the classification of direct management within the company by type of PMO and the type of consignment management, each important PMO function, and common important function are analyzed. Therefore, in this study, the important PMO function is verified regardless of industry field and organizational structure to help establish an effective PMO operation plan.

To use the term success by maximizing the project performance, clear scope management, strengthening the maturity of the performing organization, Project portfolio management linked with corporate strategy must be effectively executed and effective. It defines as a type of PMO, the company performing the project trains its execution personnel according to the competence of the project management department, and the company may have a quality process methodology to perform. Also Defining scope is a process activity that define project requirements. This report analyzes the functions and roles of PMOs in influencing performance from a scope management perspective. In particular, we compared the cases in which manual management methods and methods of using tools effectively affect the success of a requirements management implementation, from requirements collection to definition and analysis specification activities and validation. Schedule, cost quality and functionality should be added to Application Lifecycle Management(ALM) from a holistic project management perspective, coordinated in this report, from a holistic project management perspective, with scopes built into WBS and coordinated in this report. This study determine the functions to be performed and the adjustment variables required for the PMO's functions and roles to have a detrimental effect on project performance.

This research aims to explore whether the competence of project managers will affect project performance in the construction industry and consulting industry, which have different characteristics and types in the era of convergence. The fourth industrial revolution is triggering innovative changes through the integration of various fields, and the importance of project managers' effective response capabilities is emerging. Therefore, this study identifies the competency factors that have the greatest impact on project performance in the project manager’s competence, and further examines whether there is a difference in the impact of project manager’s competence. On the project. Project performance compared by industry. This study conducted a survey of workers in the construction and consulting industries and analyzed the results. According to the results of this study, if a highly qualified project manager is invested in a project that combines construction and consulting, it is expected that the probability of project success will increase. As a result, both the construction industry and the consulting industry affected the project performance, there were differences in factors affecting the project manager's competency of the construction industry and the consulting industry.

The subject of this study is to determine whether the leader's leadership style and competency have a significant effect on the defense industry project performance in order to successfully perform project management in the Defense Acquisition Program Administration's integrated project management team. The Defense Acquisition Program Administration, which is at the center of the defense industry, has been playing an important role in order to increase defense capabilities in Korea in the face of continuous North Korean provocations such as the Cheonan incident and the 5th nuclear test. Therefore, in this study, leadership styles of defense industry leaders were divided into charisma, intellectual stimulation, conditional reward, and exception management. The purpose of this study is to classify the leadership style of defense industry leaders into charisma, intellectual stimulation, conditional reward, and exception management, and divide the leadership competency into management capability, interpersonal relationship capability, and intellectual capability to find out the impact of each factor on project performance.
