Measurement and Analysis of Arousal While Experiencing Light-Field Display Device

In this paper, we examine whether the 3D image experience through a light-field display device showed the difference in the arousal of the user compared with the 2D image experience. For our experiment, the Looking Glass<sup>TM</sup> (LG) was used as a lightfield display device that provided 3D images, and 2D images were provided by digital and printed images. The subject's facial behavior during each media experience was recorded for analysis and the degree of arousal was measured by FaceReader<sup>TM</sup>. As a result, the first image presented in the first order among the three kinds of images showed that there was a statistical difference in the degree of arousal between the three media. However, no significant differences were found between the three media in the other images. This may be because the arousal did not increase from the experience of the second image through the LG, owing to habituation. In conclusion, the 3D imaging experience may appear in the beginning, but does not continue.

The ACF(Anisotropic Conductive Film) is used for bonding Drive IC and OLED display device panel. If ACF bonding process is problem, a malfunction of line defect can occur. Because electric resistance increase between the panel and drive IC after a period of time, drive IC can not supply enough current to the panel. This paper is studied on a method of test for line defect.

오늘날 대부분의 자동차는 전자제어를 통하여 엔진의 상태를 제어하여 최적의 성능을 얻을 수 있도록 하고 있다. 본 연구는 캔통신을 이용하여 자동차의 엔진의 정보를 운전자에게 실시간으로 화면에 표시하여 고장진단과 최적의 자동 차 상태를 유지하는 장치를 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 엔진에서 발생되는 정보를 OBD2 소켓을 통하여 엔진의 흡배기온 도, 현재 배터리 전압, 타이어 공기압, RPM, DPF 포집량, 토크, 마력 등의 정보를 실시간으로 운전자에게 표시하여 운전자가 차량의 상태를 즉시 확인이 가능하다. 타이어의 공기압을 측정하여 화면에 표시하여 안전운행에 도움을 줄 수 있으며, 자신의 취향에 맞도록 변속타이밍을 설정할 수 있는 모드를 제공한다. 특히 디젤엔진 자동차의 경우 매연으 로 인한 문제는 자동차 성능과 환경오염에 악영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 시스템 화면에 DPF 포집량을 표시하여 환경오염 방지와 효율적인 자동차 관리를 할 수 있도록 시스템을 개발하였다.

Most cars today use electronic control to control the state of the engine to achieve optimum performance. This study developed a device for maintaining fault diagnosis and optimal vehicle status by displaying the engine information of a car on the screen in real time using can communication. This system displays information generated from the engine to the driver in real time such as engine intake and exhaust temperature, current battery voltage, tire pressure, RPM, DPF collection amount, torque, and horsepower through the OBD2 socket. You can check immediately. It can help you to drive safely by measuring tire pressure and displaying it on the screen, and it provides a mode to set the shift timing to suit your taste. In particular, in the case of diesel engine cars, the problems caused by smoke can adversely affect the performance and environmental pollution. Therefore, the system was developed to display the DPF collection amount on the system screen to prevent environmental pollution and to manage the vehicle efficiently.

Irradiation of aromatic diazonium salts resulted in an effcient elimination of nitrogen, yielding substitution products. This paper was not only studies about photolysis of aromatic diazonium with double salts but also coexistence of ion and radical when they was photolysis. Photolysis of aromatic diazonium was depend on excite wave length therefore photolysis products out put different absorption intensity such other. We also confirmed coexistence of ion and radical when they was accomplished photolysis. In case of BD, there are ion decomposition process about 90 percentage, decreased ion decomposition process the other side radical`s it was becomeing increased according to excite of short-wave length.

In this paper, pilot flight training procedure of VFR (Visual Flight Rule) flight procedure was investigated through basic aviation training device (BATD) using VR HMD (Virtual Reality Head Mount Display). In order to evaluate the efficiency of the pilot training, the experimental pilot group was divided according to the similar piloting ability, then same VFR flight procedure was carried out using both the VR BATD and the conventionl BATD. The comparison of the X, Y and Z position of the aircraft from the extracted flight data was conducted. As a result, it was confirmed that the VR BATD shows better steering training efficiency tendency than the conventional BATD.

An accurate characterization of the display device is essential for better color matching. The calibration and characterization process in display device is needed to transform the device dependent color to the device independent color. The process of characterization performs a linearization and transforms the linearized values into the CIE XYZ tristimulus values. The purposes of this paper is to propose optimal color transformation method for accurate reproduction of original copy in display device and to explain the propriety of transformation method using specific variable for the power of gradation expression.

This paper is a study on the malfunction that occurred during the power supply logic of the Gunner Display Device during Mortar Functional Firing under low temperature conditions. As a result of the phenomenon reproduction test and its analysis, the cause of the malfunction of the Gunner Display Device was Glitch, which occurred in the process of converting the image signal, and the improved software was applied to the Gunner's Display System by ignoring some of the image signal conversion process that causes Glitch. The improved Gunner Display Device passed the validity test and applied the improvement to the mortars. As a result of this study, several suggestions for power supply and control logic were proposed. It is expected that this study will be used as a reference in the future design of similar weapons systems.

In this paper, we developed 3D games which use lip-motion input device and displayed it on a non-glass 3D display using integral video method. The games called Jenga and Cubes are developed by using unity3D. Potential immersion and usability of games displayed by integral video method is experimentally tested. Experiment participants played the test games and are surveyed to measure immersion and potential usability. In this survey, the immersion scored 3.83 out of 5 in average, and we confirmed relatively higher satisfaction than 2D display. Positive results on implementation of non-glass 3D display on game contents are obtained from the experiment and survey.

In this paper, we proposed the design of implementation of unmanned clothing stores management system using the smart RFID system. The proposed system consists of smart hanger, wireless communication module, display device, Winform software, and server. The performance of the proposed system is confirmed through experiments. Customers can choose any clothes on the server software and can match their faces to the clothes which they are interested for funny choose.

The information technology is evolved to accomodate the ever changing end users request for new services. As the request for the high data rate multimedia contents explosively increases the related hardware, software and networking technologies are finding ways to effectively satisfy end users expectation. Aligned with this trend the display device becomes thinner to reduce the weight while supporting high resolution quality for both mobile and indoor usage. The LCD device is now an inevitable component in almost all the information processing appliances. The exothermic problem becomes one of the important issues which should be solved for various applications. In LCD adopted device the relative inside areas gets packed with various types of electronic devices as heat generation sources which include the display driver integrated circuit (IC). One of reasons for this problem is that more and more advanced display devices such as LCD and LED require driver ICs with higher degree of circuit integration within a limited area while demanding higher performances. Also a lot of efforts have been made to reduce the edge areas as the big screen display as well as portable mobile devices are getting popular in many fields. In this paper an enhanced heat sink method is proposed to reduce the heat generation problem caused by the driver ICs to maintain the stability of the operation and to protect the circuits in the chip on film package. The proposed method has advantages over the conventional ones in terms of the unit production price and no limitations on the arrangement of the IC.

디스플레이상에서 주변시를 고려한 색채 인지 비교 연구 KCI 등재

본 연구는 배경의 밝기와 색상 자극의 크기에 따라 인지될 수 있는 색상 속성이 차이가 있을 수 있다는 가정아래, 배경의 밝기를 차등적으로 적용하여 Peripheral vision에 해당하는 10°와 20°의 자극을 colour matching하는 실험을 진행 하였다. 실험결과, 배경의 밝기 및 실험 자극으로 사용된 Munsell 색상 속성의 조합에 따라 동일한 색상임에도 불구하고 colour를 각기 다르게 인지할 수 있다는 경향성을 볼 수 있었으며, 자극의 크기에 대한 색상 인지 관련 선행 연구 결과와 다르게 배경의 밝기의 변화에 따라 색상 자극의 크기가 상대적으로 작다고 하더라도 더욱 colourful 하거나 더욱 밝게 인지될 수 있다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 진행된 실험 결과를 바탕으로 향후 영상의 크기가 변환 될 때 발생할 수 있는 화질 열화를 개선할 수 있으며 2D 뿐만 아니라 3D나 홀로그램 영상처리 시, 시감적 특성을 반영한 효과적인 입체 영상 재현에도 기여할 수 있다.

In this study, under the assumption that there may be differences in colour attributes that can be perceived according to the brightness of the background and the size of the colour stimulus, a test was conducted where colour matching was done for stimulus sizes of 10° and 20° in terms of peripheral vision by varying the background brightness. The test results showed that depending on the background brightness and the specific combinations of the Munsell colour attributes used as the test stimulus, colours can be perceived differently even if they are the same colours. In addition, in contrast to findings from previous studies on colour perception according to the stimulus size, it was found that even if the size of the colour stimulus is relatively small, colours can be perceived more colourfully or more brightly with changes in the background brightness. Based on the findings of this study, degradation in image quality can be improved, which may occur when the size of the input image is changed at a later time, and also, contributions can be made when it comes to the reproduction of effective sold three-dimensional structures that reflect visual qualities when processing 3D holographic imagery, in addition to 2D imagery.

저시력인들을 위한 기존 시각 향상 장치들이 많이 있다. 이 장치는 주로 확대경 역할이 대부분이고, 고가이다. 저시력 원인으로는 다양한 증상에 기인한다. 시력 향상을 위해서는 영상의 확대, 밝기, 대비를 조절할 필요가 있다. 따라서 시력 향상 휴대용 마이크로 디스플레이 구동 드라이버 및 장치를 개발한다. 이 장치의 4가지 기본 원리는 영상 확대, 특정 색 조절, BLU로 밝기 조절, 프리즘에 의한 시축 개선이다. 제안된 HMVED 장치의 임상 실험이 실시되었다. 결과적으로 기존 장치에 비해서 수혜 효과가 돋보였으며 본 장치는 저중량, 저가, 휴대성이 용이하므로 저시력인의 삶의 질 향상에 도모한다.

There are many visual enhancement devices for people with low vision. However, almost conventional devices have been simple magnifying and high cost. The symptoms of people with low vision are very variety. . It needs to control of image magnifying, brightness, and contrast to improve the visuality. We developed a portable microdisplay driver and device for visual enhancement. This device based on our suggested four methods such as image magnifying, specific color control, BLU brightness control, and visual axis control using a prism. The basic clinical experiments of the proposed Head Mounted Visual Enhancement Device (HMVED) have been performed. The results show beneficiary effects compared with conventional devices, and improve the life quality on people with low vision on account of low weight, low cost, and easy portability.

This study presents the fabrication process and display characteristics of a flexible organic polymer display device that consists of a thin substrate of Polyether Sulfone, a multilayer serpentine-type microheater array that is fabricated on the substrate, and a UV-sensitive polydiacetylene (PDA)-polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) composite film. A retention time of one second is achieved with cell sizes of $500{\mu}m$ and $700{\mu}m$ with cell-to-cell distances of $100{\mu}m$ and $200{\mu}m$, respectively.

Wearable device, next generation smart device, is consistently growing. The flexible display will be a kind of display in the wearable device. The flexible display technology is now evolving with end-user requirement such as portability and easy installation. Previous wearable display products still have some difficulties in manufacturing and in flexibility whole device. But it can be a flexible display with LED device and utilized in commercial area. In this paper, we propose a driver to control the LED display and implement a flexible LED display system.
