본 연구는 국내외 활발히 펼쳐지는 사회적 이슈 중에서 성평등 주제의 스토리텔링을 심층면담 기법을 통해 커뮤니 케이션 디자인 방향에 관해 연구하고, 더 나은 소셜 이슈 소통 방향성을 제안하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 방법으로 1차 사례 연구를 통하여 국내의 성평등 주제 매거진 이프, 펢, 우먼카인드 매거진의 특징과 스토리텔링 매거진 예시를 조사하였 다. 그리고 2차 실증 연구로 심층면담을 진행하여 성평등 스토리텔링 경험에 대한 연령대별 여성과 남성 대상자의 감정 형용 사와 이슈 인지도를 파악하였다. 그 결과, 소셜 이슈 소통 방향에 필요한 두 가지 요점을 파악할 수 있었다. 첫째, 전달하는 콘텐츠의 주제가 민감한 이슈일수록 일상과 밀접한 서사를 소구하여 진입장벽을 낮출 것을 제안한다. 둘째, 사회적 이슈가 지속가능하려면 점진적으로 메시지를 전달하여 신뢰도와 공감도를 높이는 방향을 채택한다. 이 연구는 불통을 해소하는 커 뮤니케이션 디자인 조사를 통해 국내 성평등 이슈 콘텐츠 전달 방향을 제시했다는 점에 의의가 있다. 추후 연구를 통해 국내 성평등 주제 소통 방식을 보완하고, 사회적 이슈 커뮤니케이션 디자인 방향 설정에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the direction of communication design through in-depth interviews on the topic of gender equality, which is an active theme of social issue happening worldwide, and to suggest a direction to provide better social issue communication direction. In order to do so, firstly, I researched case studies and investigated the characteristics of gender magazines such as If, Ferm and Womankind. Secondly, I conducted an empirical study of in-depth interviews to identify the emotional adjectives by women and men by different age groups from gender equality storytelling magazine experience. As a result, I was able to grasp two points necessary. First of all, for the gender equality content messages closely related to everyday stories level down the barrier and become easier to empathize with. Second of all, the more complex the social issues are, the more sustainable and credible if the content developed steadily and contingently. This study is meaningful in that it suggested a series of directions for communicating gender equality issues. Future research should complement the suggested directions for gender equality communication design and contribute to guiding further directions.

본 연구의 목적은 사회 및 산업 분야에 있어서 시각디자인의 폭넓은 관심을 목표로 한다. 대 부분의 예술 분야에도 적용되지만, 사회적 현상, 주변 환경등을 기준으로 해서 그래픽 디자이너와 관련 산업을 압박하고 있는 당면한 과제는 그래픽디자인의 전제는 왜 다시 재고되어야 하는가이다. 이제 우리 사회와 문화 속에서 디자인적 요소를 감지하게 되는 것은 결코 우연하고 낯선 만남이 아니다. 그렇기에 디자인은 고정적이고 절대적인 틀 대신 상호간의 활발한 교류와 영향관계로 인해 새로운 관계들로 바뀌어 가고 있다. 1937년에 Laszlo Moholy-Nagy 가 시카고에 New Bauhaus를 세웠을 때, 그는 철학자들과 과학자들의 강의를 포함했다. 그 후로부터, semiotics, literary theory등의 여러 종류의 다른 프로그램들이 소개되었다. 그리고 디자인과 같은 통합적인 교육의 발전을 위해선 넓은 범위의 교육이 필요하다는 인식이 증가 하고 있다. 디자인은 미술이나 과학에 의하여 축소될 수 없다. 디자인은 디자인을 미술과 연관 짓고 싶어 하는 사람들과, 디자인을 과학과 연관 짓고 싶어 하는 사람들 사이에 놓인다. 과연 그래픽디자인의 세계는 어떨까. 우리의 디자인 세계에서 사회적, 문화적 위상은 어떻게 변해야 하는 가이며, 디자인은 사고의 범위 자체가 개인의 편협한 조형 활동의 범위를 넘어서 '실제세계와의 관계성' 속에서 설정되기 때문에 이론과 실제의 균형뿐만 아니라 다양한 학제 간의 관계망을 형성해야 한다.

This thesis concentrates on issues of Graphic Design education and cognition and significance of culture and society, also pertain to education in other areas of design; most apply to arts education and many are relevant to post-secondary education in general. Cognition is an international journal that publishes theoretical and experimental papers on the study of the mind. It covers a wide variety of subjects concerning all the different aspects of cognition, ranging from biological and experimental studies to formal analysis. Laszlo Moholy-Nagy formed the New Bauhaus in Chicago in 1937, he included lectures by philosophers and scientists. Since then, various other programs have introduced semiotics, literary theory, etcetera, to their curricula, and there is a growing recognition that a wide-ranging education is needed for synthetic and integrative field such as design to progress. In light of this tendency toward professionalism, it may seem counterintuitive that we not only increase the argumentation of design training with more liberal studies, but also reconsider graphic design education-as a liberal arts subject.

The addition of traditional elements can enhance the uniqueness of visual communication design. This paper briefly introduced visual communication and applications of traditional elements in visual communication design and applied paper cuts, a handmade graphic element, to the logo design of Dezhou University's 50th anniversary. The convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithm and the analytic hierarchy process method were applied to evaluation analysis and compared with the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm. The results of the CNN algorithm on the test set verified its effectiveness. The evaluation results of the CNN algorithm were similar to the manual evaluation results, further proving the effectiveness and high efficiency of the CNN algorithm. The hierarchical analysis and the analysis of the assessment results of the CNN algorithm found that the two logo designs made full use of paper cuts.

The aim of this paper is to discuss how designers lead and direct 'technology-driven society' using their creative communication skill. To this end, it is required for communication designers to take conscious steps to recognize the future direction of their profession. Despite the advancement in technology, there is a human being at the center of all design activities. From a certain point of view, contemporary communication design takes an open-ended exploration of the subject matter, rather than a finished output. The notion of creative leadership may potentially expand more in terms of improving the methodology of today's visual culture. The paper will examine creative leadership that could be proposed by the challenge of discourse upon the upcoming industrial revolution. Today, communication designers are confronted by new leadership opportunities and challenges. Some leading designers seem to focus on brand new media technologies to prepare the 4th industrial revolutions. However, communication design cannot be discussed in the medium but can be understood as a process. Top-down and bottom-up process is always a concerned about the relationship since the focus of leadership has changed. In the top-down process, the leadership has existed between 'designer and client' because designers have played their role as a problem solver. On the other hand, there is a different model of leadership between 'design and technology' based on bottom-up process, which stem from the design authorship. In this regard, the new definition of creative leadership in the $4^{th}$ industrial revolution proposes a designer as a problem-finder based on the relationship between the 'designer and the public'.

Existing network cryptography systems are threatened by recent developments in quantum computing. For example, the Shor algorithm, which can be run on a quantum computer, is capable of overriding public key-based network cryptography systems in a short time. Therefore, research on new cryptography systems is actively being conducted. The most powerful cryptography systems are quantum key distribution (QKD) and post quantum cryptograph (PQC) systems; in this study, a network based on both QKD and PQC is proposed, along with a quantum key management system (QKMS) and a Q-controller to efficiently operate the network. The proposed quantum cryptography communication network uses QKD as its backbone, and replaces QKD with PQC at the user end to overcome the shortcomings of QKD. This paper presents the functional requirements of QKMS and Q-Controller, which can be utilized to perform efficient network resource management.

Because of rapid technological advancements, increased data rate support has become the key criterion for future communication medium selection. Multimode optical fibers and multicore optical fibers are well matched to high data rate throughput requirements because of their tendency to support multiple modes through one core at a time, which results in higher data rates. Using the numerical mode solver OptiFiber, we have designed a concentric core fiber by investigating certain design parameters, namely core diameter (μm), wavelength (nm), and refractive index profile, and as a result, the number of channels, material losses, bending losses, polarization mode dispersion, and the effective nonlinear refractive index have been determined. Space division multiplexing is a promising future technology that uses few-mode fibers in parallel to form a multicore fiber. The experimental tests are conducted using the standard second window wavelength of 1,550 nm and simulated results are presented.

This paper provides a brief overview of color elements in visual communication, followed by a case analysis of packaging design schemes for three cultural and creative products. Initially, the effectiveness of the convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithm used for the preliminary assessment of the packaging design schemes was tested. Subsequently, a more in-depth analysis was conducted based on the preliminary assessment results. The results showed that the trained CNN algorithm could effectively make a preliminary assessment on the packaging design schemes. The packaging designs for the three cultural and creative products all successfully utilized colors and layouts to convey the high quality of the products to consumers.

We implement a prototype of the underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) system, incorporating an adaptive optical beam alignment mechanism to ensure the seamless alignment of the optical beam between the transmitter and receiver. In this system, the transmitter, utilizing a laser diode as an optical source, leverages the camera’s object recognition capability to ascertain the position of the receiver, which may experience movement and shaking due to various external factors. However, the underwater condition poses challenges to camera visibility. To address this issue, a green light-emitting diode (LED) is installed on the receiver to make it easier for the transmitter to locate the position of the receiver within the camera image. The detected LED position is converted into angular data, enabling the operation of a servo motor to adjust the transmitter’s beam pointing, via a 2-axis servo motor pan?tilt system. Moreover, in the proposed UOWC prototype system, we employ the timer interrupt algorithm integrated with a real-time operating system and the direct register access method for general-purpose input/output on the NVIDIA Jetson Nano. This strategic combination facilitates the reduction of errors within the timer interval cycle between the transmitter and receiver, optimizing communication reliability through precise control of timer interrupts. To assess the system’s performance, extensive experimental tests are conducted in a large water tank.

Visual communication is widely used and enhanced in modern society, where there is an increasing demand for spirituality. Museum robots are one of many service robots that can replace humans to provide services such as display, interpretation and dialogue. For the improvement of museum guide robots, the paper proposes a human-robot interaction system based on visual communication skills. The system is based on a deep neural mesh structure and utilizes theoretical analysis of computer vision to introduce a Tiny+CBAM mesh structure in the gesture recognition component. This combines basic gestures and gesture states to design and evaluate gesture actions. The test results indicated that the improved Tiny+CBAM mesh structure could enhance the mean average precision value by 13.56% while maintaining a loss of less than 3 frames per second during static basic gesture recognition. After testing the system's dynamic gesture performance, it was found to be over 95% accurate for all items except double click. Additionally, it was 100% accurate for the action displayed on the current page.

Institutional repositories are essential research infrastructures for research-based universities. A properly dimensioned institutional repository has the potential to increase research impact and enhance the visibility of an institution through its scholarly outputs. The aim of the study reported in this paper was to design and develop a web-based digital repository for scholarly communications using NM-AIST as a case study. The system was developed using open source software. Findings obtained from system validation tests show that the system is a viable solution to the major challenges encountered in the management and sharing of scholarly information at the institution.

This purpose of this study is to exam advertisement design in cross-cultural communication, focusing on understanding how advertisements can be designed to resonate with people of different cultural backgrounds. For the data collection of the study, the advertisements presented by Huawei in the European and American markets were collected as samples for an analysis. Through sorting out the types and forms of the texts and advertisements presented in the European and American markets, the study has applied a qualitative content analysis method to conduct as a case study in order to explore the inner meanings and intention to succeed cross-cultural communication. Researching on the system construction and presentation of advertisement design of Huawei brand, this study analyzes the text, image, and product symbol systems of advertising, and explains the meaning and connotation of advertising symbols in light of the advertising semiotics. In conclusion, advertisement designers should develop a corresponding advertising forms and contents, so that enterprises can fully appeal the culture and custom of their target countries, and produce the advertisements through sense of semiotic resonance.

본 연구는 소비자의 주관적 위험 평가와 인식, 그리고 커뮤니케이션 수요를 바탕으로 한 식품 위험 커뮤니케이션 전략의 설계 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 모델의 실효성을 검증하기 위해 연구는 50세 이하 유자녀 기혼여성 576명을 대상으로 식품위험에 관한 소비자조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 연구 가 제시한 12개의 식품위험사례들은 소비자의 주관적 위험평가와 인식 조사결과를 바탕으로 4개의 서로 다른 유형으로 구분되었으며, 이들 유형에 대한 소비자의 커뮤니케이션 수요를 바탕으로 각각 의 유형에 요구되는 커뮤니케이션 전략이 제안되었다. 결과는 소비자의 주관적 인식과 수요에 근거 하여 위험 커뮤니케이션 전략을 설계하는 것이 결코 비이성적이지 않으며, 오히려 부적절한 커뮤니 케이션 노력으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 비효율 문제를 해결해 줄 수 있음을 확인시켜주었다. 이후 정부가 다양한 소비자 안전문제를 포괄하는 전국규모의 소비자조사를 실시하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 범정부 차원의 위험 커뮤니케이션 방향성을 설계하는 등 소비자의 인식과 수요에 근거한 접근전략 을 통해 위험 커뮤니케이션의 효과를 극대화 할 수 있기를 기대하는 바이다.

In this study, we proposed a designing method of food risk communication strategy based on consumers’ subjective risk assessment, perception, and communication needs. To verify the significance of the proposed model, we conducted a consumer survey on food risk targeting 576 married women with children who are under age 50. We classified 12 food risk cases into four different types based on consumers’ risk assessment and perception, and then matched communication strategies with each of the four types considering consumers’ communication needs. The result showed that designing the risk communication strategies based on consumers’ subjective perception is not irrational but efficient to prevent unnecessary costs due to inappropriate communication efforts. This study highlights the need of a national-scale consumer survey on various risk cases since the survey results could inform the direction of government policies on consumer-friendly risk communication.

본 논문은 자율주행차량 환경에서 V2X(Vehicle-to-Everything) 통신의 성능을 최적화하고, 높은 이동성과 네트워크 불안정성이 특징인 VANET(Vehicular Ad Hoc Network) 환경에서 효과적인 지능형 교통 시스템(ITS)을 구현하기 위한 SDVN(Software-Defined Vehicular Network) 기반 설계 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 VANET은 분산형 구조로 인해 패킷 손실, 지연 증가, 네트워크 단절 등 여러 한계가 존재하며, 이를 해결하기 위해 본 연구는 SDN 아키텍처를 차량 통신망에 통합하였다. SDN의 중앙집중 제어 특성을 활용하여 네트워크 토폴로지를 실시간으로 관리하고, 트래픽 상황에 따라 최적의 경로를 동적으로 설정할 수 있도록 하였다. 시뮬레이션은 VEINS, SUMO, OMNeT++, Mininet-WiFi, Ryu 컨트롤러를 통합하여 구축되었으며, 다양한 차량 밀도와 도시 교차로 기반 시나리오에서 VANET 대비 SDVN의 성능을 정량적으로 비교하였다. 실험 결과, SDVN 기반 ITS는 평균 지연 시간에서 최대 25% 감소, 패킷 전달률(PDR) 15% 증가, 네트워크 처리량(Throughput) 약 30% 향상을 나타냈으며, 중앙제어로 인한 제어 메시지 오버헤드는 소폭 증가하였다. 본 연구는 향후 자율주행 기술의 확산과 더불어 차량 통신 인프라의 고도화를 위한 기반 기술로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This paper presents an in-depth optimization strategy for Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication tailored for autonomous vehicle networks and proposes a robust Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) architecture built upon Software-Defined Vehicular Networking (SDVN) within highly dynamic VANET environments. While traditional Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) offer decentralized communication among mobile nodes, they suffer from inherent limitations such as frequent topology changes, high latency, and unreliable data delivery. The proposed architecture integrates real-time mobility simulation (SUMO), discrete event network modeling (OMNeT++), vehicular communication (VEINS), wireless emulation (Mininet-WiFi), and programmable flow control via the Ryu SDN controller. Various urban traffic scenarios with differing vehicle densities (low, medium, high) were simulated, and the performance of the SDVN-based ITS was benchmarked against a conventional VANET model. The SDVN model demonstrated a reduction of up to 25% in latency, a 15% improvement in PDR, and up to 30% higher throughput, while incurring only a moderate increase in control overhead due to SDN signaling. These findings validate the feasibility and efficiency of SDVN-enhanced ITS frameworks for next-generation smart transportation infrastructures and offer valuable insights for large-scale deployment in future autonomous mobility ecosystems.

In 2002, Korea government launched G4C (Government 4 Citizen) service for citizen’ convenience. G4C has kept growing in terms of quantitative. The government has endeavored to vitalize G4C service by extending channels to access G4C. However, citizen’ satisfaction needs to be higher because only few people may exploit G4C through multi-channel such as TV or Mobile. In order to improve G4C service, the government conducted enhancing project three times. Unfortunately, the government did not achieve. We can verify civil documents but it cannot be printed out. So, I figured out a hindrance factors of activation G4C. I will test that NFC would be an alternative to vitalize multi-channel G4C service.

구술심리주의의 확산, 국민참여재판의 도입 등 빠른 변화의 흐름 가운데 놓여있는 한국의 법정 환경은 구술주의의 단점을 효과적으로 보완할 수 있는 법정 프레젠테이션의 체계적인 도입을 필요로 하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국의 법정 환경을 토대로 법정 프레젠테이션의 개념과 유형, 그리고 효용성을 정리 및 분석하였다. 또한 법정 프레젠테이션의 특수성을 고려하여 미국과 한국에서 가장 범용으로 사용되는 법정 프레젠테이션 도구들을 비교 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 토대로, 한국의 법정 환경에 최적화된 프레젠테이션 도구가 갖춰야할 요소로서 1. 다양한 형태 매체의 삽입 용이성, 2. 그래픽 스타일 스펙트럼의 적절한 제한, 3. 그래픽 도구의 사용 편의성, 4. 시스템적 기능성 등의 요소를 제안하였다. 이와 같은 제안은 주장 전개와 내용 전달에 있어서 명료성, 정확성, 효율성 등을 강화할 뿐만 아니라 프레젠테이션 비주얼커뮤니케이션 측면의 심미성과 통일성을 증진하기 위한 것이다.

As oral trial principle and civil participation in criminal trials spread, the environment of Korean courtroom is in need of a systematic introduction of trial presentation which can supplement with the oral trial presentation's weakness. Therefore this study analyzes the definition, types, and effectiveness of trial presentation, considering characters of the Korean court's environment. As for following research step, the most widely used trial presentation softwares in the USA and Korea are analyzed and compared in consideration of the particularity of the trial presentation. Based on this analysis, this study suggested elements to be included in the presentation software optimized for Korean court's environment as follows: 1. Ease of the insertion of various forms and media, 2. Appropriate limitation of the spectrum for graphic style, 3. Ease of use of graphics tools, 4. System functions. Such a suggestion was proposed not only to enhance the clarity, accuracy, effectiveness in developing insistence and delivery of content, but also promote aesthetic quality and consistency of presentation's visual communication aspect.

본 논문에서는 보안등의 통합 모니터링과 제어를 위한 3G 이동통신용 RF모듈에 적용 가능한 반파장 폴디드 슬롯 안테나를 제안하였다. 제안된 안테나는 입력임피던스가 $50{\Omega}$에 가까운 총 길이가 ${\lambda}g$인 전형적인 폴디드 슬롯 안테나의 장점을 유지하면서 절반의 크기를 가지고 PCB의 가장자리에 위치할 수 있도록 변형된 폴디드 슬롯 구조이다. 제안된 안테나는 국내 3G 이동통신 대역용으로, $40.5{\times}62mm^2$의 기판 중 상단 $40.5{\times}10mm^2$의 공간을 이용하여 설계 및 제작하였다. 제작된 안테나를 측정한 결과, 390 MHz의 대역폭, 2 dBi의 이득을 얻을 수 있었다.

In this paper, a half-wavelength folded-slot antenna, which can be applied to RF module for 3G mobile communications by which security lights are monitored and controlled, is proposed. The proposed antenna can be regarded as modified folded-slot structure which has the size reduced to a half of conventional ${\lambda}g$ folded-slot antenna and can be placed at the ground plane edge. In spite of that, the proposed antenna still maintain the advantage of conventional folded-slot antenna that input impedance is close to $50{\Omega}$. The antenna is designed and fabricated within the upper space of $40.5{\times}10mm^2$ on $40.5{\times}62mm^2$ substrate for 3G mobile communication frequency band. The measured impedance bandwidth and antenna gain are 390 MHz and 2 dBi respectively.

자율협력주행을 위한 하이브리드 V2X 통신모듈 설계

본 논문에서는 차량 환경에 적합하게 설계된 C-ITS 통신프로토콜과 이동 통신 프로토콜인 Legacy LTE 통신 기술을 함께 지원하는 하이브리드 V2X 통신모듈의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어에 대한 설계 방안을 제안하고 설계과정을 제시한다. C-ITS는 저 지연 특성으로 인해 안전 서비스 어플리케이션에 적합하며, Legacy LTE는 고지연, 고용량 특성으로 인해 교통정보, 인포테인먼트와 같은 비 안전 어플리케이션에 적합한 기술이다. 하이브리드 V2X 통신 모듈은 복수의 통신기술로 WAVE와 LTE를 지원하고, WAVE에 대해서는 복수채널 통신을 지원하여, 자율주행 차량에 LDM, 측위보정정보 등의 도로정보를 실시간으로 전달하기 위한 목적으로 설계된다. 본 논문에 제시된 주요 설계 결과는 향후 차량용 하이브리드 V2X 통신 단말기 구현에 적용될 예정이다.

In this paper, we propose a design method and process for hardware and software of hybrid V2X communication module that supports both C-ITS communication protocol designed for vehicle environment and Legacy LTE communication technology. C-ITS is suitable for safety service applications due to its low latency characteristics, and Legacy LTE is a technology suitable for non-safety applications such as traffic information and infotainment due to high latency and high capacity. The hybrid V2X communication module supports multiple communication technologies of WAVE and LTE, in which WAVE supports multiple channels, so that it is designed to transmit road information such as LDM and positioning correction information to an autonomous vehicle in real time. The main design results presented in this paper will be applied to the implementation of future hybrid V2X communication terminals for vehicles.
