Sarcopenic obesity phenomenon caused by body fat increase (obesity) and muscle mass decrease (sarcopenia), which is likely to occur in the aging process, is considered to be a major factor with a high possibility of causing an increase in the prevalence of metabolic and degenerative diseases along with physical function decline. Resistance exercise and endurance exercise, including regular physical activity, are considered effective methods for preventing low-muscle obesity in the aging process, but most of the elderly have difficulty relying only on exercise programs. Therefore, by performing additional nutritional intake and exercise training, which can show increased muscle mass and mitochondrial biosynthesis, not only can the effect of exercise training be further enhanced, but also the burden dependent on exercise training can be minimized. From this point of view, the possibility of preventing sarcopenic obesity through additional intake of ginseng and fermented soybeans during exercise training during the aging process was suggested. Additional intake of ginseng extract is effective in preventing aging-related diseases and reducing aging-related oxidative stress by increasing SIRT1 expression in tissues. Fermented soybeans inhibit muscle breakdown and promote synthesis, making them suitable as a protein source for the elderly, and are known to be effective in arteriosclerosis, heart disease, diabetes, and senile dementia. Therefore, an effective treatment method for preventing sarcopenic obesity through additional intake of ginseng and fermented soybeans that can expect ergogenic effects along with exercise training was proposed.

본 연구는 노인일자리 사업 참여 노인의 신체적 의미, 제약과 삶의 질을 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 심층면 담중 비 구조화면담을 통해 연구를 진행하였으며, 포토보이스와 함께 진행하였다. 포토 보이스를 이용해 연구 참 여자는 초기테마(given initial themes)에 관련된 참여자들의 일상을 촬영하도록 하였으며, 면담하는 과정에서 이론 적 포화상태(theoretical saturation)까지 인터뷰를 지속하였다. 개인 대 개인 1~3회 60분 정도 실시하였다. 첫째 노 인들의 신체적 의미는 사회적, 심리적, 경제적, 신체적, 결합되어 상호 작용하고 있으며, 친구 만들기, 심리적 갈증 해소가 있었다. 둘째 근무시간의 비예측성으로 인한 신체활동 참여 제약이 존재하고 있었다. 셋째 노인일자리 사 업의 참여 노인들은 경제적인 어려움이 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

It is important for collegiate women to manage their body weight and eating behaviors not only for body shape but also for their health, however many of them do not recognize the importance. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of body composition and eating behaviors among college women. A total of 489 college women participated in this study volunteerly, and were divided into 3 groups(underweight group; n=30, normal weight group; n=326, overweight group; n=133) based on BMI. Each participants completed the survey packet which consists of demographic questionnaire, EDEQ(Eating Disorders Examination Questionnaire) and EDI-2(Eating Disorder Inventory-2). The main findings in this study are as follows. 16% of underweight group, 67.5% of normal weight group, and 76.9% of overweight group have disordered eating behaviors using 6 classification criteria. And the prevalence of disordered eating behaviors among groups was significantly different(p<.001). It has been found that there were significant differences in means of 9 variables related to eating behaviors(perceived BMI, ideal BMI, BMI gap, weight change, mean of EDEQ, shape concern, weight concern, Drive for Thinness, Body Dissatisfaction). These results indicate that disordered eating behaviors could be detected in any range of body composition. It could happen even more in normal range of BMI. Women in nornal and overweight range of BMI are much more sensitive on body weight, shape and have more desire for thinness and body dissatisfaction. Health education for college women should be required to prevent atypical eating behaviors

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of elementary school students' after-school physical activity participation on their enjoyment of the participation. For the purpose, this researcher surveyed 827 students in their 2nd, 4th and 6th grades(male 454, female 373) from G elementary school located in D Metropolitan City. Data for the above factors of the enjoyment of physical activities were analyzed through 3-Way ANOVA in accordance with gender(2), grade(3) and participation or non-participation in after-school physical activities(2). Findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, if students were higher in grade and if they participate in after-school physical activities, they were higher in the 5 sub-factors of the enjoyment of the participation than lower-grade students. Second, participation or non-participation in after-school physical activities and the enjoyment of the participation in accordance with gender and grade were interactively influencing 'fun' and 'creativity' which belonged to sub-factors of the enjoyment. In conclusion, factors of the enjoyment of after-school physical activity participation are different among students in accordance with their grade and gender. Such factors are more remarkable in part of students who actually participate in physical activities after school. After-school physical activity programs should be developed differently depending on whether they are applied in large and small cities and rural areas.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data necessary for middle-aged people's exercise performance by measuring the quality of muscles in middle-aged people's lower extremities using simple tools and comparing and analyzing how differences in muscle mass in the lower extremities are related to their ability to perform exercise. The research subjects were selected by collecting nine students from has started studying late student, A University in Gyeongsangbuk-do, and those who voluntarily agreed to participate in the research were selected. The results of this study are as follows. First, there were statistically significant differences in muscle strength and muscle endurance in the correlation between the quality of the left non-abdominal muscle and the ability to perform exercise in the middle age (p<.05). Second, there were statistically significant differences in muscle strength, muscle endurance, and agility in the correlation between the quality of the right non-abdominal muscle(p<.05) of the middle-aged and middle-aged people's ability to perform exercise In sum, the above points can be judged to have a good effect on the exercise performance factors according to the quality of the muscles by part, but considering the fact that they are limited to lower limb muscles and the failure to take into account the basic athletic ability and muscular function of middle-aged women, it would be too much to generalize.
