In this paper, we propose an automatic left ventricle segmentation method in computed tomography angiography (CTA) using separating energy function. First, we smooth the images by applying anisotropic diffusion filter to remove noise. Secondly, the volume of interest (VOI) is detected by using k-means clustering. Thirdly, we divide the left and right heart with split energy function. Finally, we extract only left ventricle from left and right heart with optimizing cost function including orientation term.

The author studied the process of unifying Hanja variant groups of Korea and China for LGR (Label Generation Rule) of Internet Top-Level Hangeul Hanja Domain and possible confusion between Hangeul syllable and Hanja character. Among 3518 Chinese variant groups, Korea and China need not review variant groups which include no or just one Korean Hanja character. Korea and China reviewed 304 Chinese variant groups (9% of the 3518 Chinese variant groups) which include two or more Korean Hanja characters. By doing so, Korea and China succeeded in efficiently unifying variant groups. Unification process of variant groups which is the main core of Korea-China coordination and almost final unification result is summarized in this paper. In addition, the author analyzed systematically whether some Hanja character could be confused with a Hangeul syllable and obtained a good result which was not expected at the beginning. Probably this kind of systematic analysis has not been performed in the past and seems the first attempt, which is one of the contributions of this paper. The author also reviewed how to express K-LGR in XML for submission to ICANN.
Improved Paired Cluster-Based Routing Protocol in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks

In VANET, frequent movement of nodes causes dynamic changes of the network topology. Therefore the routing protocol, which is stable to effectively respond the changes of the network topology, is required. Moreover, the existing cluster-based routing protocol, that is the hybrid approach, has routing delay due to the frequent re-electing of the cluster header. In addition, the routing table of CBRP has only one hop distant neighbor nodes. PCBRP (Paired CBRP), proposed in this paper, ties two clusters in one pair of clusters to make longer radius. Then the pair of the cluster headers manages and operates corresponding member nodes. In the current CBRP, when the cluster header leaves the cluster the delay, due to the re-electing a header, should be occurred. However, in PCBRP, another cluster header of the paired cluster takes the role instead of the left cluster header. This means that this method reduces the routing delay. Concurrently, PCBRP reduces the delay when routing nodes in the paired cluster internally. Therefore PCBRP shows improved total delay of the network and improved performance due to the reduced routing overhead.
Determining the Optimal Number of Signal Clusters Using Iterative HMM Classification

In this study, we propose an iterative clustering algorithm that automatically clusters a set of voice signal data without a label into an optimal number of clusters and generates hmm model for each cluster. In the clustering process, the likelihood calculations of the clusters are performed using iterative hmm learning and testing while varying the number of clusters for given data, and the maximum likelihood estimation method is used to determine the optimal number of clusters. We tested the effectiveness of this clustering algorithm on a small-vocabulary digit clustering task by mapping the unsupervised decoded output of the optimal cluster to the ground-truth transcription, we found out that they were highly correlated.
Physiological Functionalities and Anti-oxidant activity of heated radish extract

This study proceeded an experiment that can increase such physiological properties of heated radish extract. During the extraction of radish, including the byproduct, an increase in antioxidant properties of radish according the heating temperature was performed. Upon the extracts of radish bark and radish green extract(mucheong), the physiological functionalities and antioxidant activity were investigated. As a result, the color of radish ethanol extract in dependence of heating temperature, showed light brown color at low heating temperature and black color from 150℃. The total polyphenol content significantly increased as a result of heat treatment; 6.7 times and 22 times higher than the control at 110℃ and 150℃, respectively. DPPH radical scavenging ability and antioxidant property increased with increasing heating temperature; in comparison to heat-treated radish at 110℃ and 150℃, IC50 decreased by 1/22 times. IC50 of the control was 23times higher than 150℃ heat treated radish (Control IC50:130.305). According to the graph that represents ABTS activity, antioxidant activity increased in dependence of heat treatment likewise to the total polyphenol content and DDPH radical scavenging activity. Upon heat treatment at 150℃, antioxidant activity in consequence of ABTS assay increased 23 times higher than the control.
Implementation of the Golf Play Advice System with Reasoning Rules Using Mobile Devices

This paper is a study on implementation of the golf play advice system which provides advice to golfers through mobile devices. The system consists of a mobile unit consisting of a GPS receiver, a data transmitter and receiver, and a display unit, and a server unit composed of a database and advice generator. The advice generator that provides advices to the users, generates advices with IF-THEN rule-based reasoning method. The reasoning module utilizes golfer’s personal records and various information in the database of the server unit. This system provides the advice to the users who play on the golf course through mobile devices, so that it is possible to provide various information similar to the screen golf using the computer simulating technology in the outdoor golf course.

Osteoarthritis is one of the most common chronic degenerative disease and prevalent among women in rural area. A variety of self-management programs for arthritis patients have been developed and administered, however the effectiveness and adherence to the program including arthritis exercise are found to be low. The purpose of this study is to design intervention Arthritis Self-Management Program with Tai Chi (ASMP-TC) through identifying and analyzing attributes influencing adherence exercise behavior in Korean older adult women with arthritis in rural area. For this, the existing and relevant evidence on arthritis self-management including exercise intervention were investigated, and then this study describes well-designed arthritis self-management program to provide the credibility and validity necessary for its interventions. In addition, this study try to propose a self-management program model of Tai Chi exercise for rural older adults to improve adherence based on the primary health care facility, which is vulnerable area in Korea.
Estimation of Smart Election System data

On the internal based search, the big data inference, which is failed in the president’s election in the United States of America in 2016, is failed, because the prediction method is used on the base of the searching numerical value of a candidate for the presidency. Also the Flu Trend service is opened by the Google in 2008. But the Google was embarrassed for the fame’s failure for the killing flu prediction system in 2011 and the prediction of presidential election in 2016. In this paper, using the virtual vote algorithm for virtual election and data mining method, the election prediction algorithm is proposed and unpacked. And also the WEKA DB is unpacked. Especially in this paper, using the K means algorithm and XEDOS tools, the prediction of election results is unpacked efficiently. Also using the analysis of the WEKA DB, the smart election prediction system is proposed in this paper.

The purpose of this study is to develop a short-term ICT training course that helps teachers from non-computing disciplines in developing countries acquire flipped-learning content creation skills. A field application is performed by applying the developed ICT training course to secondary school teachers of non-ICT subject specialisms in Laos. In the field study, participating teachers' teaching efficacy on ICT and satisfaction toward the training course are measured. The result of t-test on ICT teaching efficacy showed statistically significant increases in teachers’ self-efficacy related to ICT use, both personal efficacy and outcome expectancy. The satisfaction survey performed after training showed that trainees were highly satisfied with the training course. The results of this field study could be used to propose a short-term teacher education model that could be applicable to teachers in other developing countries.

This study focuses on presenting the IT program module provided by real - time forecasting and database of the voluntary disclosure quality measure in order to solve the problem of capital cost due to information asymmetry of external investors and corporate executives. This study suggests a model of the algorithm that the quality of real - time voluntary disclosure can be provided to all investors immediately by IT program in order to deliver the meaningful value in the domestic capital market. This is a method of generating and analyzing real-time or non-real-time prediction models by transferring the predicted estimates delivered to the Big Data Log Analysis System through the statistical DB to the statistical forecasting engine.
Pose Estimation with Binarized Multi-Scale Module

In this paper, we propose a binarized multi-scale module to accelerate the speed of the pose estimating deep neural network. Recently, deep learning is also used for fine-tuned tasks such as pose estimation. One of the best performing pose estimation methods is based on the usage of two neural networks where one computes the heat maps of the body parts and the other computes the part affinity fields between the body parts. However, the convolution filtering with a large kernel filter takes much time in this model. To accelerate the speed in this model, we propose to change the large kernel filters with binarized multi-scale modules. The large receptive field is captured by the multi-scale structure which also prevents the dropdown of the accuracy in the binarized module. The computation cost and number of parameters becomes small which results in increased speed performance.

Celiac disease (CD) is an immune-mediated enteropathy of small intestine diagnosed in both childhood and adulthood. CD is caused by gluten, which produces gliadorphin during its digestion. The enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) breaks gliadorphin down nevertheless the last tripeptide remains and eventually inhibits DPP4, thus slowing down its process. Therefore, the idea is to produce an additional DPP4 enzyme which is crucial. Consequently, the functional DPP4 gene was cloned into pCDNA3 intermediate (FLAG+DPP4) vector and finally a recombinant plasmid pSB1C3 (Andersons promoters+ FLAG+DPP4) was constructed using synthetic biology. Normally, a DPP4 inhibitor is used as a cure for diabetes. Another important concern was overexpression of DPP4, which might lead to diabetes, accordingly the work was also performed for the regulation of the DPP4 gene expression. In this regard, three types of Anderson promoters (strong, moderate and weak) were utilized to study the control overexpression. This is the first report of idealistic trial for control the exogenous DPP4 gene-expression by molecular biologic tools.

This paper describes the design and implementation of a vehicle internal alarm system using raspberry-pie and gas sensor. It provides a notification system for sleepiness during driving, a driving time notification system and a smoking detection system. We coded using ‘Python’. And we use ‘MySQL’ and ‘PHP’ to build the necessary servers and web pages for gathering sensing data and monitoring. The developed system was tested by several methods. All experiments showed satisfactory response signals and detected with immediate responses.

This study analyzed the digital divide of Korean senior citizens through the preference for smart media. Targeting two media out of mobile internet and mobile social media, the media dependency ratio and the trend of people in their 20s-60s were verified. Regarding the dependency ratio of young people(20s) and senior citizens(60s), in case of mobile internet, people in their 60s were average 8.6% while people in their 20s were average 38.9%, so that the ratio of senior citizens was lower by 30.3%. In case of social media, people in their 60s were average 1%, which was 7.1% lower than people in their 20s(8.1%). And this divide was the digital divide shown in the informatization process through the trend of internet use of senior citizens in their 60s or up. Thus, as the policy measures for solving the digital divide of senior citizens, it would be required to continuously develop the digital cultural programs for senior citizens, to expansively perform the government subsidiary policies like additionally providing the essential information to senior citizens, and also to expand the smart-based infrastructure for senior citizens' participation in economic activities.

This study found the digital divide of Korean elderly persons on the basis of the 2013-2017 survey data of the perception of media information adopters. The studied media were traditional ones, such as newspaper and TV. The media dependence of those in their 20s to 60s was compared and analyzed. As a result, regarding their dependence on newspaper, elderly persons in their 60s had 20.7% on average, 13.6% higher than the percentage (7.1%) of young persons. Regarding their dependence on TV, those in their 60s had 97.6% and those in their 20s had 63.7%, so that there was a wide gap of 33.9% on average. The smartphone penetration rate of those in their 60s was 61.3%(2015-2017) on average, which tended to rise. The elderly's dependence on traditional media featured Digital Divide which is found in the informatization process. Accordingly, in order to solve their digital divide, it is required to expand education in line with their knowledge level through remote online centers, develop inclusive ICT for convenience, and change philosophical policy paradigm in the dimension of quality of life.

Virtual reality (VR) technology has been increasingly more frequently used day by day in industries, entertainment and performances due to the development of AR and MR technologies. Performance arts also actively utilize 360 ° VR technology due to the free expression of stage settings and auditoriums. However, technologies for systems in which performers wear VR devices firsthand rather than being in the sandpoint of bystanders while audiences wear VR head mounted displays(HMDs) to see performance stages have been rarely studied yet. This study investigated the technical possibilities of possible methods of expression that will enable performers to appear on the stage wearing VR devices. Since VR can maximize the sense of immersion with its closed HMD structure unlike augmented reality (AR), VR was judged to be suitable for studies centered on the mental interactions in the inner side of humans. Among them, to implement shamanistic expression methods with the phantoms of the body and soul, a motion capture technology linked with VR display devices and real-time cameras was realized on the stage. In this process, the importance of body ownership experienced by the performers (participants), reactions when they lost it, and the mental phenomena of the desire to possess the subjects of gaze could be seen. In addition, high possibility of development of this technology hereafter could be expected because this technology includes the technical openness that enables the audience to appear on the stage firsthand to become performers.
