The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the bridge exercise with sling on dynamic balance ability in normal peoples. In general, the sling using exercise was related in the dynamic balance and the function. Fifteen subjects participated in this experiment were carried out the program for 4 weeks to Lumber stability exercise with stretching exercise. The effects of sling using exercise were evaluated by measurements of normal standing of dynamic balance on GOOD BALANCE system, respectively. For each case, the experimental data were obtained in 2 items: mean X speed, mean Y speed. The results of this study were as follow: There were statistically significant differences of all items between the before and the after exercise. The above results revealed that sling using exercise was effective for improving the dynamic balance ability.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of plantar flexion exercise and stepper on the balance ability in normal peoples. Twenty subjects participated in this experiment were carried out the program on 6 weeks plantar flexion exercise and stepper. They were divided into two groups; plantar flexion group(plantar flexion exercise group, n=10) and stepper group(using stepper group, n=10). The effects of plantar flexion exercise and using stepper were evaluated by measurements of normal standing(NSEO, NSEC), and semitandom standing and dynamic type 1 and dynamic type 2, respectively. For each case, the experimental data were obtained about static balance in 3 items: mean X speed, mean Y speed and velocity moment, that of dynamic balance in 2 items: mean X speed, mean Y speed. The results of this study were as follows; 1. In plantar flexion exercise group, the statistically significants were shown on X, Y speed and velocity moment in the case of NSEO, NSEC, semitandom standing, and on X, Y speed in the case of dynamic type 1, dynamic type 2. 2. In using stepper group, the statistically significants were shown on X, Y speed and velocity moment in the case of NSEO, NSEC, semitandom and on only X, Y speed in the case of dynimic type 1, dynaimic type 2. 3. There was a statistically significant similar on all about case. however, the statistically difference were not shown with intergroup. The above results revealed that plantar flexion exercise and using stepper was effective for improving the balance ability.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of close kinetic chain(CKC) and open kinetic chain(OKC) posion on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation applied to the unilateral upper extremity on the muscle activation of lower extremity. All subjects were randomly assigned to two groups: open kinetic chain group(n=5),closed kinetic chain group(n=5). All participants were PNF patterns applied on the unilateral upper extremity in all subjects were the kinetic chain(CKC) and open kinetic chain(OKC) posion on flexion/abduction/external rotation. The hold and approximation techniques for the irradiation were applied to end range. All measurements for each subject took the following tests: pre-test, post - test in 4weeks, post-testin 8weeks. EMG data was collected from the vastus medialis, tibialis anterior, biceps femoris, and gastrocnemius muscle of both lower extreamity using surface EMG system, Each EMG value in individual muscle was normalized for maximal voluntary contraction. The data were analyzed using Two-way analysis of variance(ANOVA) with repeated measures to determine the statistical significances. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, during for close kinetic chain(CKC) and open kinetic chain(OKC) posion on PNF pattern application, all of the %MVIC values of close kinetic chain and open kinetic chain posion increased sign ificantly compared(p<0.05). Second, The close kinetic chain(CKC) and open kinetic chain(OKC) posion on PNF pattern application was significantly increased with in the intervention period(p<.05). Third, there was a no significant open kinetic chain posion on PNF pattern application of sing muscle group with in the intervention period.(p<0.05) there was a significant close kinetic chain posion on PNF pattern application of sing muscle group with with in the intervention period(p<0.05). Forth, interaction of the exercise position and muscle was also significant. Post-hoc tests revealed that the activation levels of vastus medialis muscle and tibialis anterior muscle was higher in the closed kinetic chain position(p<.05). that the activation levels of vastus medialis and gastrocnemius muscle was higher in the open kinetic chain position(p<.05). In conclusion, it was found that the application of PNF patterns to the unilateral upper extremity effect on the muscle activation of lower extremity and both open kinetic chain exercise and closed kinetic chain exercise was significantly increased muscle activity. Further studies are needed to analyzed long term effects and subjects resulting from these changed.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of the phenol compound-cold therapy plus exercise therapy on the carrageenan(CAR)-induced muscle pain. Method:Mice were injected 0.1ml of 2% CAR into the gastrocmemius(GAS) muscle for the induction of muscle pain. After 4 hours from the injection of CAR, the cold therapy with 1% syringic acid was done to GAS muscle. After 2 hours from cold therapy, the exercise therapy such as muscle stretching, climing- and declining-movements was performed three times interval of 10 minutes in each experimental group. After 4, 10 and 24 hours from CAR-induced muscle pain, the measurements of muscle diameter, paw withdrawal latency(PWL) and, tail flick latency(TFL) were carried out. Results:In this study, the thickness of GAS muscle in CAR-induced muscle pain significantly increased compared with control. While, the thickness of GAS muscle adopted cold syringic acid-therapy with exercise-therapy group was significantly decreased than that of CAR-induced muscle pain. In the measurements of PWL and TFL, cold syringic acid-therapy with exercise-therapy group was remarkably increased than CAR-induced muscle pain group in PWL and TFL. All measurements were showed significantly different between the treated-group and the treated-time. Conclusions:From these results, it is suggested that the cold syringic acid-therapy with exercise-therapy such as muscle stretching, climing- and declining-movement was effective in the prevention of CAR-induced muscle pain by the decrease of muscle thickness and the increase of PWL and TFL
