The purpose of this study is to analyze the Korean film, 'Old Boy' which has shown a successful attempt to add color effectively in the movie. First, this study demonstrates four symbolic colors in 'Old Boy' in detail to provide an in-depth analysis of their symbolic features. Based on the findings, this study discusses that color is used to better deliver the message of films and beautify the socially tabooed subjects in films. Secondly, this study investigates each character's fashion color and interior color. The results indicate that colors are used to mark the characters in this film and reveal the delicate shades of their psychology. On the whole, this study investigates the underlying effects of colors and their relation with other elements in the film in an effort to enhance a proper use of color in the field of films.

Color is one of the most powerful expressing methods in animation and it has become even more important when the 3D animation showed up. Since then it's importance and need has been emphasized more and more. In order to produce the master peace of animation the perfect color keys are the must. Therefore, studying color key is one of the essential stages in animation producing system. This is study about what students should learn form color the theory, how to choose color in pre production stage and fix the color in production stage. This study is to help the animation students in creating their project effectively by taking this color course as well as to assist them working in the professional field as directors, art directors and animation colorists.

This research makes an attempt to systemize tone-centered match, instead of hue-centered, among various color matches indispensible to color design. It is designed to exceed the limits of hue-centered approach, as well to obtain a variety of color match effects. In addition, for the emotional color image, tone-centered approach is much more effective than hue-centered. For the purpose, Birren's color triangle, PCCS tone, NCS color triangle, and their relationship are analyzed comparatively. These have something in common in basic principles and structures, which shows the possibilities of an integrated system. Especially it is thought that more elegant NCS color triangle has great potentials and usefulness. In view of application, Birren's color harmony which is a tone-centered, typical color harmony is reviewed, and how to make the best of it is presented, combined with NCS color system. Today, the age of emotion, human emotional color planning for image differentiation is very important. If tone-centered approach is fully applied, color design strategies fit for the age of emotion could be developed easily.

By the reason of diversification of present enterprise, radicalness of competition and advancement of communication, the importance of designs and design images for P. R. of the company is more increased as a strategy for enterprise management. And, among the components of the design for the C. I(Corporate Identify), advertisement or building construction, the color takes charge of significant visual roles to buildup desirable image. If the exterior color of buildings is planned monotonously or disorderly, it not only spoils the beauty of city, but also gives negative effects to the emotion of residents dwelling in that area. In this thesis, the planing of improving exterior colors to establish enterprise image is proposed in the view points of that, if the color of environment or building is well designed for the sake of the enterprise's image, it gives a marked improvement of enterprise' image and intensive effect of P. R. The target company's buildings or industrial facilities is located in the city or urban neighboring circumstance in the paper.

This paper describes the evaluations of 5 Bridges that were seen at night. View point was Sunyu-Bridge, Sunyu-Bridge is in the Han River, Public Park, where used as resort of Seoul citizen. The intension of this paper is to investigate the color of lighting for bridge at night with adjective words to from the evaluation axis. Extraction of adjective words was made by 4 experts. Adjective words that were made by experts for the evaluation of bridge lightings were 98words, and those for the evaluation of the views from Sunyu-Bridge were 41words. To make the adjective word pairs, we used KJ method. The final adjective pairs were each 22pairs (for individual bridges) and 20 pairs (for the views from Sunyu-Bridge). Each adjective word pair was consisted with corresponding two adjective words. 30 observers make the evaluations just after viewing the 1600 mm by 1000 mm size beam projection in dark room. For the analysis of individual bridges, we gathered the 30 persons’ evaluations of 5 bridges with 22 pairs of adjective evaluation words. The results were analysed to find the correlations between the adjective word pairs and to form the evaluation axis for the color of lighting of the bridges. And to get the evaluation for the views from Sunyu-Bridge, we select 3 kinds of view, the est side and the west side view from the bridge, and make a combined view of these. We gathered the 30 persons’ evaluations of three views with 20 pairs of adjective evaluation words. From the result, we select the adjective pairs that showed the evaluation concentration over than 1/3. We got three adjective evaluation-axises for the lighting of bridges. In this group the individual-ordinary pair was the representative pair to construct the evaluation axis 1. In this group the vital-inanimate pair was the representative pair to construct the evaluation axis 2. In this group the complex-simple pair was the representative pair to construct the evaluation axis 3. As the evaluation for the view from the Sunyu-Bridge, we got the conclusion that the views were so contracting that there are some room for improvement.

Considering that colors can work as media that can make the place better in between self-recognition through tracing and modernization, and that colors can secure individualities of streets, the study was started with the search for plans to restore the streets that have Identity. The external color of buildings was classified as the dominance color. Bright and low-saturation colors were applied to the external color of buildings. The sub color was applied to shades and signboards. The accent color was applied to lights. Shutters were classified as a factor for the application of the sub color but when considering the distribution of buildings, they can take effects as the variables of the view. Therefore, the colors for the shutters require further studies under the understanding of mutual relationship among characteristics and elements of the target place when considering the color selection of shutters is a view after closing time.

The purpose of this research focuses on improving quality of life, offering an opportunity for diverse social and cultural experience in creative environments and providing human beings with positive behavior affordance through environmental color planning. By recognizing the importance of educational facilities, the quality of school facilities has improved in terms of architectural and environmental aspects, however, there has been less progress in the environmental color aspects. The environmental color has an important impact on establishing environmental characteristics, and can give positive influences on human beings when used purposefully and reasonably. However, systematic and professional approaches have not been much established despite the fact that the environmental color should be considered as a core design tool. Therefore, educational facilities should function as an environment which ultimately meets the various demands of users by affording children's development through conforming with various spatial needs in the aspect of reinforcing affordance, stimulating the user's cultural sensibility and harmonizing with the entire city by reflecting regional characteristics.

The present age is became an age of an abundance of color, because of the developed mass media and supply of the computer. Many people are started say about important of color with the interest of color. For the subscribing to be a developing the color industry, we have to be a correct education of color. It is necessary who children in a growth period of color. They need to be grew into a suitable human being for the digital age going to be developed, through supply the suitable color education for changed digital age. Suggest that the color education program is developed two way, the training aids and the computer program. If we study a color from childhood, then our color senses and the level of korea's color culture will be elevated.

This study emphasis on the most peculiar of all Chosun Dynasty Fork-Art paintings, the paintings of Peony trees. This study assessed the characteristics of the plant and also analysed the colors used. Delving into analysing concrete structures of these paintings such as forms, colors, lines and understanding them better are essential in developing our culture today. These color analysis will be utilized as the standard color preference of the general public in the Chosun Dynasty, and therefore will be vital in illustrating the formation of Korean Folk-Art paintings correctly. By adopting the NCS color analyser, a step-by-step color analysis of permissible range was able to be obtained. By studying 277paintings, it was found out that there is systematic link between the formations of color and flowering plant structure. Moreover the study was able to grasp the general idea that the Fork-art paintings are based on the contrasting effects of strong primary colors, and the resulting color analysis will be groped for prospective studies on Korean Fork-Art paintings.

The interest in personal colors is making its progress through different studies in many countries. Also, the interest in personal colors is increasing in Korea. However, they still use the foreign system in Korea so there need to be studies for Personal colors that suit the skin color of koreans. Therefore, the study tries to examine causes for harmony and disharmony of colors for different skin types of koreans. Also, the study investigates the important causes and factors through color diagnoses in order to find the best image. Based on the elements of personal colors, the study has a purpose of examining characteristics of personal colors of koreans, analyzing altering elements through a color diagnosis of each type, and creating a standard for the personal color diagnosis of koreans. I hope this study can be used as a color plan for clothing, makeup, goods and interior. of the study results show that koreans evaluate light colors, colors similar to the skin color and bright colors very positively but they evaluate dark colors negatively. In the color diagnosis the effect of skin tone seemed to be greater than the skin type. In colors, effects by the classification of tone(value and chroma) work greater than the classification of color(Hue).

The costumes representing today's society and expressed as the form of art contacted to human's life reflect the change of culture phenomena and the trend has been also increased. Based upon that past and future always coexist, unique aesthetic consciousness and formative feature of costumes of only Baroque age were investigated for correct understanding of present trend. The aesthetic consciousness of Baroque revealed richness and splendor with the expression of vitality and violent emotion approached from more personal viewpoint, which appeared as esthetics of Baroque. The formative feature of Baroque costumes appears as use of strong colors, rhythmic silhouette of soft hangings and excessive decoration using lace and ribbons, which is formed with natural beauty. From the viewpoint that past styles should be investigated for understanding of present trend and prediction and control of the future, the approach and studies of more various methods are required.

It is considered that in the Renaissance period there had been huge improvement than any other centuries, not only in the field of politic, economy, culture and art, but also in hair style. Therefore, studying this particular period’s hair styles will help to understand the origin of the present’s hair styles and to predict upcoming trends. It is clear that Renaissance artists drew realistic portraits by paying immense attention to dress and hair style of the people. In this era, there had been a rapid progress of the human history, also the varied fortunes of race and nation had been radical. Thus, there were continues change of the drift of the public opinion of the times. Interaction of those social and natural circumstances created various new trends of hair styles, leading vast improvements. It is the author’s intention to examine the Renaissance period’s hair styles by analyzing this period art and tries to understand the continuously repeated revival mood. Hence, it is mean to serve as a basis of the improvement of hair style studies by looking back the Renaissance.

The effects of personal color on improvement of a person's appearance have been well known, however each nation has a different body color (skin color, hair color, pupil color) and a different preferring color, therefore the study on the personal color matching well with Korean skin color is required. This study intends to suggest more appropriate personal color by subdividing personal colors applied as 4 seasons system to increase the application effects. As the results of study, 8 types of classification were suggested by using the viewpoint in judging skin color, hair color and pupil color, visual perception and luminosity colorimetry in parallel. As well, 180 colors of 3 companies applied in overseas were diagnosed by tools, and 4 seasons system were subdivided as W-a, W-b, W-c, W-d types and C-a, C-b, C-c, C-d types and the characteristics were arranged.

In Color psychology, our study focuses on the Personal Color. We found out that every individual has his/her own best color that fits him/her the most, and even the same color gives a different influence to each individual. Based upon our method, the best color for each person comes from its consciousness and unconsciousness. Thus, we came up with the hypothesis that we are able to figure out what the best color is for each individual and we suggest it with an accurate explanation. For our hypothesis, we integrated The Comic Dual Forces and Five Elements with C.C Jung's Analysis Psychology and Color Psychology.
