The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of service communication at the medical aesthetic clinic on customers’ satisfaction and behavioral intention and further determine the moderating effect of that communication on both the satisfaction and the intention in accordance with customers’ age and service education experience. 310 copies of the questionnaire in which the subjects filled were collected, and out of the documents, 290, except those deemed as improperly filled-in, were finally analyzed. Data were processed through the descriptive analysis and reliability analysis in accordance with SPSS 19.0, and then through the confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis and moderating effect analysis in accordance with AMOS 21.0. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the hypothesis that verbal communication positively(+) affects customer satisfaction was supported Second, the hypothesis that kinesics, proxemics, paralanguage has a positive(+) effect on customer satisfaction was supported. Third, the hypothesis that the physical appearance has a positive(+) effect on customer satisfaction was found not statistically significant, so it was rejected. Fourth, the hypothesis that customers’ satisfaction has a positive(+) effect on their intent to behave was supported. In terms of the moderating effect of customers’ service education experiences, the hypothesis that the effect of service communication at the medical aesthetic clinic on customers’ satisfaction and behavioral intention varies depending on those experiences was tested to find that in sub-areas of the service communication like pseudolanguage and customer satisfaction, the service education experiences have moderating effects.

The study aims to identify awareness of sexual harassment in beauty-industry workers based on experience factors and actual condition, thereby providing the basic date to prevent sexual harassment in the beauty industry. The study collected data from 462 beauty-industry workers in five metropolitan cities by utilizing a tool designed for awareness of sexual harassment. The result showed high awareness of sexual harassment according to higher the position and the lower the employment history. In terms of experience of sexual harassment by major field of study, hairbeauty- industry workers showed higher awareness than that of skin-beauty-industry workers. Therefore, it is important that beauty-industry workers to have strong self-belief and will for sexual harassment, including continuous training for preventing sexual harassment.

This study is an analysis of changes in skin conditions of female college students in their early 20s, before and after using facial masks, to see the effects of different types of facial masks. Gel type, sheet type, and cream type masks that contain ingredients such as 1% of vegetable collagen, 2% of niacin amide, 0.04% of adenosine were applied on 6 people each, thus, upon a total of 18 people. Skin analysis was conducted to objectively evaluate the changes in the amount of moisture containment, pore, pigmentation, and wrinkles before and after applying mask packs once a week for 30 minutes in a duration of 4 weeks that contained 1% of vegetable collagen which is a moisturizing ingredient, 2% of niacin amide which is a whitening ingredient, and 0.04% of adenosine which has anti-wrinkle effect. As a result of application for 4 weeks, For the analysis of the moisture was shown to exhibit a statistically significant difference in the type (F=18.699, p<0.001), moisturizing effect of the Gel mask is the greatest. The analysis of the pores was shown to exhibit a statistically significant difference in the type (F=3.687, p<0.05), pore tightening effect of the gel mask and cream mask was good. However, with regards to measurement of pigmentation and wrinkles, they weren't proved to be effective. Such results were due to short testing time period, thus, if the testing is conducted for more than 8 weeks, it is considered that there will be more skin improvements.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the teacher’s practical lessons influence on the students’ satisfaction in the specialized high school of beauty and analyze basic material for teachers in the specilized high school of beauty. As the result of analyzing general items, 18 years old was distributed the most for the age of subjects and females were notably more due to the characteristic of the beauty major. In this study, to analyze the satisfaction of the practical skill class in beauty specialized high schools, calibre of teachers, leadership of teachers, motivation of students, veracity of teachers, concernedness of teachers and relationship between teachers and students were selected as a main factor of satisfaction. For the statistical analysis of this study, SPSS program (ver. 18.0) was used and analysis of frequency was enforced for general details and practical lessons. For satisfaction with the practical skill class in beauty specialized high school in accordance with general items, in 6 sub-factors, leadership of teachers, calibre of teachers, motivation of students, veracity of teachers, concernedness of teaches and relationship between teachers and students, the satisfaction was higher for male than female. Also, examining the correlation of satisfaction factors of the beauty practical skill class with the participation level, efficacy and satisfaction with the practical skill class of students, the participation level, efficacy and satisfaction with the practical skill class appeared higher as cognizance of 6 sub-factors of teacher satisfaction becomes higher.

The purpose of this study was determined to investigate the effect of change of skin condition and pores, wrinkles, pigmentation, elasticity according to apply aromatherapy massage and aquapeelling programs for women. BOMTECH ELECTRONICS-SDM ver.3.20 was used for moisture, sebum, pores, wrinkles, pigmentation, elasticity for the measurement of skin condition. The result was Aromatherapy Massage group (N=5) with Rose-hip Oil was increased of the moisture and sebum of skin, was effective in wrinkle reduction after 4 treatment. Aqua-peeling program group (N=5) was effective the pore reduction on skin, were effective in skin smoothness caused by keratin removal after 4 treatment.

In this study, a survey was conducted with managers of small-size skin care salons regarding awareness of emotional marketing, which contributed to booming of the coffee industry, in order to find a way to activate the small-size skin care market. Awareness and importance of emotional marketing and five-sense (sight, smell, hearing, tasting, emotion) marketing was surveyed and compared by 178 managers of skin care salons in Seoul, Daegu, Gwangju, and Jeju, and frequency analysis was performed according to the highest educational attainment, management experience, size of salons, and monthly income. The result shows that, among the five senses in the emotional marketing, visual marketing showed the highest awareness (77%), and emotional marketing had the highest influence on the revenue (83.7%). In terms of awareness of emotional marketing according to the educational background and management experience, subjects with higher education and longer management experienced were more aware of emotional marketing, and people who were more aware of emotional marketing had higher monthly income. Longer management experience and larger size of the salon was correlated to higher awareness of visual marketing. In conclusion, this study suggests that higher awareness of emotional marketing and visual, olfactory, auditory, gustatory, and emotional marketing can improve revenue and generally help the managers of skin care salons. The author hopes that this study will provide solution to problems experienced by small-size skin care salons and foundation to activate the skin care industry.

In this study, we analyzed the antioxidant activity against juice and ethanol extracts of succulent plants such as Pachyphytum Dr. cornelius and Echeveria laurinze. The EC50 of DPPH scavenging radical activity at 5×10-4 M DPPH was 0.03 mg/mL for ascorbic acid as a representative chemical antioxidants. The EC50 in ethanol extracts of Aloe barbadensis, P. Dr. cornelius and E. laurinze were 3.6, 0.9, and 1.5 mg/mL, respectively. The total polyphenol and flavonoid content in ethanol extract from succulent plants were 3.4 to 20 times more than in the juices: 6.90 g/kg fresh weight (f.w.) and 1.8 g/kg f.w for A. barbadensis, 10.12 g/kg f.w and 1.29 g/kg f.w for P. Dr. Cornelius, and 8.98 g/kg f.w and 2.32 g/kg f.w. for E. laurinze, respectively.
