- The study aims to identify awareness of sexual harassment in beauty-industry workers based on experience factors and actual condition, thereby providing the basic date to prevent sexual harassment in the beauty industry. The study collected data from 462 beauty-industry workers in five metropolitan cities by utilizing a tool designed for awareness of sexual harassment. The result showed high awareness of sexual harassment according to higher the position and the lower the employment history. In terms of experience of sexual harassment by major field of study, hairbeauty- industry workers showed higher awareness than that of skin-beauty-industry workers. Therefore, it is important that beauty-industry workers to have strong self-belief and will for sexual harassment, including continuous training for preventing sexual harassment.
