Background/Objectives: The IMAGE TO TEXT CONVERSION TECHNIQUE FOR ANTI-PLAGIARISM SYSTEM is a design project on how the Optical Character Recognition will be utilized in order to extract text from images that can be used to increase the accuracy rate of an anti-plagiarism checker. It also highlights the integration of Convolutional Neural Network and its effect in the result of the conversion. Methods/Statistical analysis: Optical Character Recognition is a technology that recognizes text within an image. It is commonly used to recognize text in scanned documents, but it serves many other purposes as well. While Convolutional Neural network is a category of neural networks that have been proven very effective in performing image recognition and classification. The main objective of the study is to design a software that will convert images of text into plain editable text. The study aims to use a specific algorithm to extract useful information from the images. Findings: It will integrate the two algorithm, convolutional neural network and optical character recognition technology in order to develop a software. The input of the software is a document in .docx format and will generate an output in the same format. Improvements/Applications: This software will be an aid to the existing anti-plagiarism checkers to generate a more thorough and better plagiarism

Background/Objectives: Vehicular traffic is endlessly increasing everywhere that cause terrible traffic congestion on intersections. Methods/Statistical analysis: In this paper, the proponents brought the design of the traffic control system to mitigate this kind of setup. The central concept is to allow vehicles based on the first-in-first-out principle. Exceptional cases for emergency vehicle detection will be also introduced in order for the ambulance to reach its destination faster and effectively. The phases inclusive for this research are formulated Verilog source code, testbench modeling, simulation process via ISIM, and methodological stuff. The whole process has been synthesized and verified successfully. Findings: proposed system was designed through Verilog Hardware Description Language using the Xilinx ISE Design Suite 14.5 as for the primary software. Improvements/Applications: The proposed system allows emergency vehicles to pass along traffic and prioritizes the vehicles according to the first-in-first-out principle.

SerbisyoPH : An Android Application for Hiring Service Provider

Background/Objectives: This project aims to lessen the hustle on looking for a service provider by easing up the search through an application that will search for a skilled worker that will fit on performing a specific task. Different level of access is applied depending on the purpose of their use, may it be the client, service provider or the admin. Job posting and searching for a specific service are the major concern of the application. Methods/Statistical analysis: Payments through a different transaction may be done using a PayPal account. This application is only available in the Philippines and can be used using Android devices with at least Lollipop or a higher version of Android OS. Findings: The application “Passed” the conformance, compatibility test, and functionality test. The application got a mean of "3.48" with the use of Mobile Application Rating Scale criteria (MARS) and "3.55" using Content Management System criteria (CMS). "Highly Acceptable" was the interpretation of the two evaluations. Improvements/Applications: The SerbisyoPH is an android application for hiring the service provider. Its advanced technology and focus on mobile development were done for the benefit the people living in the Philippines, the clients, service provider, and future developers.

Background/Objectives: Ethereum is a next-generation blockchain developed in 2014 by Vitalik Buterin, a cryptocurrency that can implement various smart contracts. Methods/Statistical analysis: When making any contract on a blockchain, the miner is given the corresponding compensation, the block, which is obtained earlier than the hash of the set size by applying a random nonce value and hash algorithm according to the prop-off-work method. In the case of Ethereum, the ETH will be given to the miner who uses more gas in addition to the work proof method. Findings: In this case, if the malicious miner increases the amount of gas first, obtains the priority for block generation, intercepts the value derived by the general miner and sends it to the miner, the miner will give the block to the malicious miner. As such, miner, a problem that arises due to the nature of blockchain, analyzes the problem of relying on transaction order that gives the miner a block option to the miner who uses more gas and proposes a solution. Improvements/Applications: we described how to solve the problem of pre-sales in the blockchain with public key cryptography using confidentiality. It is hoped that this approach will be fairer and safer.
