[목적] 본 연구는 주관절 내·외측상과염 환자를 대상으로 골프 팔 운동기구를 활용한 재활 운동프로그램을 약물치료 및 물리치료와 병행하였을 때 통증, 악력 및 기능수행능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. [방법] 주관절 상과염 진단을 받은 환자 24명을 단순 무작위 배정을 통해 통제집단(n=12)과 실험집단(n=12)으로 구분하였으며, 중재 전, 4회 처치 후, 8회 처치 후 총 3회에 걸쳐 VAS(통증), 악력계(악력), 기능수행능력(PRTEE)를 반복 측정하였다. [결과] 통증은 두 집단 모두 유의하게 감소하였으며, 8회 처치 완료 시점에서 실험집단의 감소 폭이 통제집단에 비해 유의하게 컸다. 악력은 두 집단 모두 시기에 따라 향상되었으나 집단 간 차이는 유의하지 않았다. 기능 수행 능력은 특이 동작, 일반적인 동작, 전체 기능 모든 영역에서 유의하게 개선되었으며, 8회 처치 완료 시점에서 실험집단의 기능 회복이 통제집단에 비해 유의하게 우수하였다. [결론] 골프 팔 운동기구를 활용한 재활 운동프로그램은 주관절 상과염 환자의 통증 완화와 기능 회복에 있어 약물치료 및 물리치료의 효과적인 보조 중재로 활용될 수 있다.

[Purpose] This study aimed to examine the effects of a rehabilitation exercise program using golf arm exercise equipment on pain, grip strength, and functional performance in patients with medial and lateral epicondylitis, when applied alongside pharmacological and physical therapy. [Method] Twenty-four patients diagnosed with epicondylitis were randomly assigned to a control group (n=12) or an experimental group (n=12). Outcomes were assessed at pre-intervention, after 4 sessions, and after 8 sessions using VAS, grip dynamometry, and PRTEE .[Result] Pain decreased significantly in both groups, with the experimental group showing greater reduction than the control group at the 8-session mark. Grip strength improved over time in both groups, with no significant between-group differences. Functional performance (PRTEE) improved significantly across all domains in both groups, with the experimental group demonstrating superior functional recovery at the 8-session mark.[Conclusion] A rehabilitation exercise program incorporating golf arm exercise equipment serves as an effective adjunctive intervention for pain relief and functional recovery in patients with elbow epicondylitis.

The Effect of a Self Exercise Program in Cardiac Rehabilitation for Patients with Coronary Artery Disease

Objective To investigate the eff ect of self exercise in cardiac rehabilitation on cardiopulmonary exercise capacity for selected patients with coronary artery disease. Method The subjects of this study were patients who received percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery and who participated in a cardiac rehabilitation program. The supervised exercise group participated in 6-8 weeks of aerobic exercise training with telemetry ECG monitoring in hospital. Th e self exercise group, whose exercise risk was low, was instructed to participiate in self exercise training in a community exercise environment according to the exercise tolerance test (ETT) using a modified Bruce protocol. Both groups underwent ETTs before and 6 months after initiation of the cardiac rehabilitation program. We compared the supervised group with the self exercise groups on exercise capacity. Results After 6 months, the supervised exercise group showed significant changes in maximum oxygen consumption, maximal heart rate, resting heart rate, and submaximal rate pressure product. The self exercise group also showed significant improvement of maximum oxygen consumption and submaximal rate pressure product. However, the changing rate of maximum oxygen consumption was signifi cantly higher in the supervised exercise group than the self exercise group. Conclusion Both the supervised and self exercise groups showed similar improvement of cardiopulmonary exercise capacity after 6 months’ participation in the cardiac rehabilitation program. However, the changing rate of maximum oxygen consumption, maximal heart rate, and resting heart rate were significantly higher in the supervised exercise group than the self exercise group.

Home exercise program adherence strategies in vestibular rehabilitation: a systematic review

Objective: The aim of this systematic review was to investigate for effective strategies to improve home exercise program (HEP) adherence in vestibular rehabilitation (VR). Design: Systematic review. Methods: A systematic review was conducted to identify effective strategies used to improve HEP adherence of patients in VR. Six databases, Academic Search Premier, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, PUBMED, PsycINFO, and Web of Science were searched from their inception to December 31, 2015. The keywords used for search were 'home program', 'home intervention', 'compliance', 'adherence', 'vestibular rehabilitation', 'motion sickness', and 'motion sensitivity'. Results: A total of eight studies were selected to be included in the review. There was 95.2% agreement between the two reviewers who reviewed the studies using a quality assessment tool. The overall inter-rater agreement (${\kappa}$=0.73) showed good agreement between the reviewers. Strong evidence was identified for 3 major categories of effective HEP adherence strategies, 1) providing patient with written summary of HEP; 2) asking patient to maintain a record of HEP and symptoms; and 3) providing tele-rehabilitation in form of email and/or telephone support along with in person treatment sessions. Also, based on strong evidence, computerized technology was not found to be superior to other strategies for improving patients' HEP adherence in VR. Conclusions: The effective strategies for improving HEP in VR include written summary of exercise, maintenance of log of HEP and symptoms and tele-rehabilitation along with in person treatment sessions.

The Effect of Cognitive Rehabilitation Program Combined with Physical Exercise on Cognitive Function, Depression, and Sleep in Chronic Stroke Patients

Objective: This study was conducted to verify the effectiveness of a cognitive rehabilitation program consisting of physical exercises and mental activities for patients with chronic stroke with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). We aimed to investigate how this cognitive rehabilitation program affects patients' cognitive ability, depression, and sleep quality. Design: One group pretest-posttest design Methods: The study was conductedon 12 patients who participated in thecognitive rehabilitation complex exercise program for 16 weeks. The Korean version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA-K), Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (K-HDRS), and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were used to evaluate the measured variables before and after study participation. The cognitive rehabilitation complex exercise program included 30 minutes of cognitive exercise and 30 minutes of Brill Exercise. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to compare the variables before and after program participation. Cronbach's ɑ was used to assess the reliability of the test variables. Results: The post-program assessment showed a statistically significant increase in the MoCA-K score, which measures cognitive function (Z=-2.628, P=0.009). For depression ratings, there was a statistically significant decrease in the K-HDRS score (Z=-2.041, P=0.041). For sleep quality, although there was a numerical increase in the PSQI score, the difference was not statistically significant (Z=-0.702, P=0.483). The reliability test confirmed that all the individual test variables exhibited high reliability (cognitive function, 0.859; depression, 0.872; sleep, 0.822). Conclusions: We found that cognitive rehabilitation program used in this study had a positive effect on the cognitive function and depression in patients with chronic stroke with MCI.

The purpose of this study was to study the effect of an Information and communication technology (ICT)-based rehabilitation exercise program on upper extremity function and compliance of the health adults. A total of 20 subjects were enrolled in this study and assigned to an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group performed upper extremity exercises using an ICT-based rehabilitation exercise program, while the control group performed self-exercise without exercise equipment. Interventions were provided for 4 weeks, 4 times a week, 30 minutes per day in both groups. For primary outcome measurement, Handgrip were measured using a dynamometer, and for secondary outcome measurement, compliance with rehabilitation exercise was measured using a numeric rating scale. As a result of this study, the experimental group not only showed a statistically significant improvement in grip strength but also showed higher motivation and fun/interest in exercise compliance than the control group (all, p < 0.05). Therefore, this study suggests that the ICT-based rehabilitation exercise program can be an effective rehabilitation program in a clinical setting.

The purpose of this study was to develop a complex exercise program integrating Eastern and Western complex exercise rehabilitation programs in order to examine the effects of it on the human body with the subjects for women of the II period of mature age with metabolic syndrome. The subjects of this study are 60 II period of mature aged women with metabolic syndrome living in G City, and the experimental group conducted Taekwon-aerobic exercise, European rehabilitation gymnastics, gym ball exercise, and elastic band exercise while the control group performed European rehabilitation gymnastics, gym ball exercise, and elastic band exercise which is the rehabilitation program being presently conducted in Russia, for 90 min per day for three weeks. Two-way ANOVA with repeated measures was utilized to verify preand post-intergroup difference, and the significant level was set as P< 0.05. Whereas body weight, % fat, WHR, SBP, DBP and blood glucose were significant decreased, muscle weight and pulse wave velocity were significant increased after complex exercise rehabilitation programs Both Eastern and Western complex exercise rehabilitation programs showed positive effects on the body of the II period of mature aged women with metabolic syndrome, and if various exercise programs are conducted, it will be more effective in improving II period of mature aged women’s metabolic syndrome afterwards.

We investigated the effect of exercise rehabilitation based on fine mo-tor movement for the elderly with mild dementia. Using electroenceph-alogram (EEG), the change of brain wave of them based on fine motor movement and comparing the improvement level of cognitive ability and performance capability in daily living activity was recorded. The subjects were the elderly with mild dementia living in a sanatorium in Incheon city. Mini-Mental Status Examination, activity of daily living (ADL), and the influence on depression were examined. After 8-week exercise program, significant difference in cognitive function and ADL was observed, however, and there was no significant difference in de-pression. In the EEG, there was a significant difference in α-wave. This study suggests the chance to remind the necessity of exercise programs for improving cognitive function and ADL of the elderly with dementia.

The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a 12-week multimodal exercise rehabilitation program on walking speed, walking ability and activities of daily living (ADLs) among people who had suffered a stroke. Thirty-one stroke survivors who had completed a conventional rehabilitation program voluntarily participated in the study. Twenty-six participants completed the multimodal exercise rehabilitation program (2 days/wk, 1 hr/session). Physical outcome measures were: walking speed (10-m walking test), walking ability (6-min walking test and functional ambulation classification) and ADLs (Barthel Index). The program consisted on: aerobic exercise; task oriented exercises; balance and postural tonic activities; and stretching. Participants also followed a program of progressive ambulation at home. They were evaluated at baseline, postintervention and at the end of a 6-month follow- up period. After the intervention there were significant improvements in all outcomes measures that were maintained 6 months later. Comfortable and fast walking speed increased an average of 0.16 and 0.40 m/sec, respectively. The walking distance in the 6-min walking test increased an average of 59.8 m. At the end of the intervention, participants had achieved independent ambulation both indoors and outdoors. In ADLs, 40% were independent at baseline vs. 64% at the end of the intervention. Our study demonstrates that a multimodal exercise rehabilitation program adapted to stroke survivors has benefits on walking speed, walking ability and independence in ADLs.

The effect of complex exercise rehabilitation program on body composition, blood pressure, blood sugar, and vessel elasticity in elderly women with obesity KCI 등재

The purpose of this study is to identify what kind of effects complex ex-ercise rehabilitation program has on body composition of female, blood pressure, blood sugar, blood vessel elasticity and find more effective complex exercise program for elderly females. The subjects are select-ed 30 females applicants in exercise program in City of G and not re-stricted in mobility to perform the exercise without any particular disor-ders. Exercise program is a combination of aerobic and strength train-ing with different ratio, for the first 6 months focused on strength train-ing complex exercise, and for next 6 months focused on aerobic exer-cise. Except for strength training and aerobic exercise, durations for strength, rest, and wrapping-up are equal. The frequency of experi-ments is 90 min each, 2 times per a week. Body composition, blood pressure, and blood vessel elasticity are tested pre and post experiment to compare the effectiveness of both complex exercises. As results, in the complex exercise program focused on strength training, weight, per-cent body fat, fat mass, waist hip ratio, systolic blood pressure, and dia-stolic pressure increased. Blood vessel elasticity maintained its level or slightly decreased. In the complex exercise focused on aerobic exer-cise, weight, percent body fat, fat mass, waist hip ratio, systolic pres-sure, and diastolic pressure decreased. Blood vessel elasticity on left foot and right foot are slightly different. Therefore, aerobic exercise is more effective than strength training for old obese females.

비만과 2형 당뇨는 인슐린 저항성과 지질을 산화시키는 능력이 손상된 것 같은 특징을 지닌 것과 관련 있는 질병상태이다. 최근 지방 산화에 최적의 운동강도가 보고되고 있다. 본 연구는 특정 강도의 지속적인 운동이 인터벌 운동프로그램보다 지방산화와 인슐린 민감성 향상에 매우 효과적일 수 있다는 것을 알아보고자 하였다. 10명의 좌업생활자이면서 비만이지만 건강한 여성 참가자들(33±5 year)이 미리 정해 놓은 운동강도에서 지구성 운동재활 프로그램을 실시하였다. 최대 지방 산화를 얻어낼 수 있는 운동강도로 운동을 4주 실시(Pre-ex)한 후 5주간의 디트레이닝 기간을 두었다. 최대 지방 산화를 얻어낼 수 있는 운동강도의 ± 20%강도로 인터벌 운동을 4주간 추가로 실시(Post-ex)하였다. 운동을 하기 전과 마지막 운동을 한 후 48시간이 경과한 후에 OGTT, VO2max test, steady-state exercise 등을 총 4회 검증하였다. 식이는 운동을 하기 전 매번 관리하였다(50% carbohydrate, 35% fat, and 15% protein; ~2900 kcal/d). 지방산화는 Pre-ex 후 38% (p<0.05) 증가하였지만, Post-ex 이후에는 그렇지 않았다. 인슐린 민감성은 Pre-ex 이후에 23% (p<0.05)로 증가하였다. 그러나 체중, 신체질량지수(BMI), 허리와 힙 비율(WHR)과 % body fat, 그리고 VO2max의 변화는 일어나지 않았다. 그러므로 최대 지방산화를 도출해 낼 수 있는 운동강도에서 지속적인 운동 프로토콜은 운동 중 지질 산화로 지방의 재분배를 증가시킬 수 있으며 일반적인 인터벌 트레이닝 보다 인슐린 민감성을 증가시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 결국, 본 연구에서 지속적인 저강도의 운동은 지질 대사를 향상시키고, 지질 대사의 증가는 비만여성의 인슐린 민감성을 높여 주는 것과 관련이 있는 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 이러한 결과는 건강을 위한 운동재활의 강도를 설정하는 데 있어서 매우 중요한 지표가 될 수 있을 것이다.

Reliability and validity of applying Kirkpatrick model for evaluating exercise rehabilitation program SCOPUS KCI 등재

This study aimed to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Kirkpatrick four-level questionnaire—comprising reaction (R), learning (L), behav-ior (B), and results (Res)—in the context of an exercise rehabilitation program. A total of 141 university students, aged 21 to 25, participated in a 15-week exercise rehabilitation program. Intrarater reliability was as-sessed using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) in a pre-post - test setup and analyzed through Bland–Altman plots. Convergent validi-ty was examined using Pearson correlation. The results of this study were as follows. ‘R,’ consisting of six questions, showed an ICC ranging from 0.954 to 0.990. ‘L,’ composed of seven questions, demonstrated an ICC between 0.883 and 0.978. ‘B,’ made up of five questions, displayed an ICC ranging from 0.859 to 0.974. Additionally, ‘Res,’ consisting of five questions, showed an ICC between 0.834 and 0.926. Significant correla-tions were observed among all 23 items (P<0.001), suggesting that the application of the Kirkpatrick model to evaluate the exercise rehabilita-tion program demonstrates strong reliability and validity. These findings suggest that the evaluation metrics can effectively monitor program outcomes at each level through the application of the Kirkpatrick model.

This stud aims to verify the mediation effect of recovery resilience ac-cording to the relation between Senior Citizen Community Center (SCCC) elderly users’ participation in exercise rehabilitation programs and their successful aging. Toward that end, 400 65-yr or older partici-pants and non-participants in SCCCs’ exercise rehabilitation programs, living in Incheon, were sampled. Of their answered questionnaires, 35 copies which were deemed low-reliability, duplicated, and inadequate-ly specified were excluded from the analysis. And, the other data were coded through computers, and underwent a descriptive statistical anal-ysis (DSA) and a standard multiple regression analysis (SMRA) using Windows SPSS/PC+21.0 Version statistical program. Thus it was firstly found that elderly people’s participation or non-participation in exercise rehabilitation programs partially influenced their recovery resilience and successful aging. The participants group, compared with the non-participants group, had greater recovery resilience and experi-enced successful aging. Second, the relation between the degree of participation in exercise rehabilitation programs, recovery resilience and successful aging revealed that the longer and the more frequent the participation in exercise rehabilitation programs was, the greater the recovery resilience was and the more successful aging was. Third, the verification of the mediation effect of recovery resilience in the rela-tion between the program participation degree and the successful ag-ing revealed that, compared with those of the model of direct effects of independent variables and dependent variables, the recovery resil-ience-mediated model’s verification power and explanation power were greater.

본 연구는 로봇기술 기반 재활운동 프로그램이 지체장애인의 운동참 여동기에 미치는 영향을 혼합연구방법을 통해 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 경기도 지역에 거주하는 지체장애인 4명을 대상으로 사전·사후 운동참여동기 변화를 정량적으로 측정하였으며, 심층면담을 통해 정성적 자료를 수집·분석하였다. 연구 결과, 심리적 동기, 대인관계 동기, 건강 관련 동기, 신체 관련 동기, 체력 관련 동기의 모든 하위 영역에서 긍정 적인 변화가 확인되었고, 참여자들은 재활운동을 통해 정서적 활력 회 복, 사회적 연결감 증대, 건강 인식 고취, 외적 자기 인식 개선, 자립 기 대 상승 등의 변화를 경험한 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 로봇기술이 제공 하는 정밀하고 반복적인 훈련 환경은 참여자의 몰입과 감정적 반응을 유도하며, 운동참여동기의 내면화와 질적 전환을 촉진하는 기제로 작용 하였다. 본 연구는 로봇기술이 단순한 신체 기능 회복을 넘어 지체장애 인의 의미 있는 운동 경험과 심리·사회적 동기 강화를 지원할 수 있는 매개체로 작용함을 제시하며, 향후 맞춤형 통합 중재 설계와 다학제적 자원 연계의 필요성을 제언한다.

This study explored the effects of a robot-assisted rehabilitation exercise program on the motivation for exercise participation among individuals with physical disabilities using a mixed methods design. Four participants in Gyeonggi Province were assessed, with motivation measured before and after the intervention and supplemented by semi-structured interviews. Results indicated improvements across psychological, interpersonal, health-related, appearance-related, and physical fitness domains. Participants described emotional revitalization, stronger social connectedness, heightened health awareness, improved self-perception, and greater expectations for independence. The precise and repetitive training environment provided by robotic technology enhanced immersion and emotional engagement, fostering the internalization of motivation. These findings suggest that robotic technology serves not only as a tool for physical recovery but also as a medium to enrich exercise experiences and strengthen psychological and social motivation.

전신진동운동기구를 이용한 회전근개 수술 환자의 재활 운동 프로그램 개발 및 적용 KCI 등재

본 연구는 회전근개 수술 후 전신진동운동기구를 이용한 운동 프로그램의 효과를 알아보고자 실시하였다. 회전근 개 파열로 관절경 수술을 받은 총 22 명의 남성환자를 대상으로 하였으며, 일반적인 물리치료만 적용한 비교집단과 진동 운동기구를 이용한 운동그룹으로 무선배정하였다. 운동 그룹은 45분의 운동을 주3회 실시하여 12주동안 적용하였다. 12주 후 진동운동을 이용하여 재활운동을 적용하여 효과를 검증하기 위해 통증, 관절가동범위, 등척성 근력 및 어깨기능 을 측정하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 두 그룹 모두 통증이 감소했지만 그룹 간 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 관절가동범위에 서는 운동집단만이 유의한 변화를 보였다(p <.05). 등척성 근력은 굴곡근력에서 비교집단은 유의한 변화가 없었으나 운동집단에서는 굴곡과 신전근력 모두 유의한 증가를 나타냈다(p < .05). 어깨기능에서는 두 그룹 모두에서 유의한 개선 을 보였다 (p <.05) 결과를 종합하면 진동운동기구를 사용하여 재활운동을 실시하여 통증, 관절가동범위, 등척성 근력 및 어깨기능의 개선을 유도하였으며 회전근개 수술환자의 재활운동으로 추천될 수 있을 것이다.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of exercise program using vibrator after rotator cuff operation. Methods: A total of 22patients were included in this randomized controlled trial. 45 minutes sessions of exercise group were performed three times a week for 12 weeks in the exercise group. Physical therapy was conducted in the control group. Outcomes were evaluated at baseline, 12 weeks. The outcome was measured using the visual analogue scale of pain(VAS). ROM measured using a goniometer, shoulder isometric strength measured using a manual muscle test device, and the simple shoulder test. Results: Pain was reduced in both groups, but there wasno difference between groups. In the range of joint movement, only the exercise group showed a significant change(p < .05). Isometric muscle strength was not significantly changed in only control group in flexion strength. Simple shoulder test showed significant improvement in both groups(p < .05). Conclusion: The exercise program with vibrator in this study improved postoperative pain, range of motion, muscle strength, and shoulder function. Therefore, we recommend exercise programs with vibrator after surgical treatment for rotator cuff injury.

집단재활체조 프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 우울과 재활동기에 미치는 효과

Purpose: The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of a group rehabilitation exercise program for stroke patients on their depression and motivation of rehabilitation. Methods: The design of this study was the nonequivalent control group non-synchronized quasi-experimental design. Data were collected from June through August in, 2012 in a rehabilitation hospital located in the C city. A total of 63 patients participated in the study [experimental group (n=32) and control group (n=31)]. The data were analyzed using x2-test and t-test. Results: The depression in the experimental group was lower than the control group (t=2.446, p=.017). The motivation of rehabilitation in the experimental group was higher than the control group (t=-4.90,p<0.001). Conclusion: Based on the results, the group rehabilitation exercise program for stroke patients is useful to decrease their depression and improve their motivation of rehabilitation. The program is considered to be an effective nursing intervention for decreasing the stroke patients' depression and improving their motivation of rehabilitation.

이 연구는 원심성 12주간 재활운동 프로그램이 주관적 통증지수, 슬관절 등속성 근력, 점프수행능력에 미치는 영향을 알아 보기위해 전문의에게 슬개건염 진단을 받은 엘리트 운동선수 20명을 대상으로 원심성 재활운동그룹 (N=10)과 일반 재활운동그룹(n=10)으로 구분하였다. 연구 결과 주관적 통증지수는 원심성 재활운동그룹이 일반 재활 운동그룹에 비해 사후측정에서 유의하게 감소하였으며(p=.000), 슬관절 등속성 근력은 60./sec Peak Torque (p=.003), 60./sec Total Work(p=.006), 180./sec Total Work(p=.002)에서 원심성 재활운동그룹이 일반 재활운 동그룹 보다 근력 향상이 높게 나타났고, 건측 점프수행능력에서는 원심성 재활운동그룹이 일반재활운동그룹에 비해 더 큰 기록의 향상이 나타났다(p=.014). 원심성 재활운동프로그램이 일반 재활운동에 비해 더욱 효과적이라는 결론을 얻었다.

The object of this study was to investigate the effect of eccentric rehabilitation exercise on VAS score, isokinetic strength, jump performance in elite sports player with patellar tendinopathy. The participating 20 subjects were divided randomly into 2 groups(eccentric training group; n=10, rehabilitation training group; n=10). Eccentric exercise program which was intensified gradually was applied during 12 weeks. VAS score, isokinetic strength, jump performance were measured before and after 12 week training using eccentric exercise program. The results of the research are as follows: 1. There was significant difference in VAS score between two groups(p=.000). 2. For isokinetic strength, there was significant difference in extension muscle strength of knee : 60°/sec Peak Torque(p=.003), 60°/sec Total Work(p=.006), 180°/sec Total Work(p=.002). 3. There was significant difference in jump performance to involved knee between two groups(p=.014). In conclusion, the result of this study suggest that the 12 week eccentric rehabilitation exercise program may have significant effect on VAS score, isokinetic strength, jump performance for elite sports player with patellar tendinopathy. Especially, eccentric rehabilitation exercise program can improve knee function with patellar tendinopathy.

Purpose: This study was to investigate the effects of rehabilitation exercise program on the muscle strength and pain in elderly with knee osetoarthritis. The progressive rehabilitation program included flexibility, strength, endurance, and active range of motion exercise and functional activities. Methods: Nineteen subjects with osteoarthritis of the knees randomized to exercise group(n=10) or control group(n=9), but fourteen subjects completed the trial with an adherence of 70% to the intervention and 77% to the control. The knee pain with VAS and quadriceps strength were evaluated at pre- and post-intervention. Results: The data were analysed with the two-way repeated ANOVA and paired t-test. The pain and quadriceps muscle strength had no difference among the groups and times. Within experimental group, pain was significantly decrease and quadriceps muscle strength significantly increased between pre and post intervention, while the control group showed no changes. Conclusion: Rehabilitation exercise program for knee osteoarthirits appear to be effective in knee pain and quadriceps muscle strength.

This study was performed to investigate the effectiveness of aquatic rehabilitation exercise on gait capacity, isokinetic muscular strength and blood component in stroke-induced hemiplegic patients. Stroke patients(n=14) from J Community Rehabilitation Welfare Center were participated in this study. Stroke patients were divided into two groups as E(exercise group) and C(control group). E group(n=7) had exercised in aquatic rehabilitation program for 60 minutes per day, 3 days a week for 12 weeks. The results were as follows: First, the body weight, BMI and body fat were significantly decreased in E groups(p<.05). Second, Dynamic Gait Index(DGI) total scores were significantly increased in E groups(p<.001). Third, muscular strength of trunk extensor and flexor at 180 deg/sec was no significantly different between two groups. Forth, there were no significantly different in blood component such as CRP, rGPT, TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C between two groups. These results suggest that aquatic rehabilitation exercise program might have positive effects of body composition and gait capacity in stroke-induced hemiplegic patients.
