This study investigates the factors that facilitate or hinder people to use mobile payment, especially drawing upon the theoretical perspectives on individual’s privacy protection motivation and perceived market condition. Survey data (n = 200) were collected through a web-based platform and used to test a theoretical model. The results show that one’s privacy protection power is formed by various individual and technological factors (i.e., perceived data exposure, self-efficacy, and response efficacy), and in turn it determines his/her intention to use mobile payment. Moreover, the relationship between privacy protection power and mobile payment use is conditional on the perceived market control by the service provider – with a perception of the high level of provider’s market control, one uses mobile payment regardless of his/her privacy protection power, while under the low level of provider’s market control, the decision depends on the degree of privacy protection power. The findings would help our understanding of why some people are more susceptible to mobile payment and others are not.

This paper examines the features that make a YouTube channel attractive to users. Considering that drawing users’ attention is challenging on this platform, where voluminous amounts of videos are available, it is crucial to identify the factors that make users intend to subscribe to a YouTube channel. In this study, we used an online survey to collect data from 1125 respondents and an SEM model using Smart PLS 3.2.8 to analyze it. The results show that integrity and familiarity with a YouTube channel are positively correlated with trust in its creator, which leads to subscribing to the YouTube channel; value and accuracy also positively affect intention to subscribe to a YouTube channel via trust in content. This study enriches the field of research about trust in the creator and trust in content.

Enterprise Architecture and its management focuses on the integration of business processes and IT infrastructure, and have received considerable attention from the academic and the practice audience. Despite this attention, some lacuna can be observed that questions some of the fundamental pillars of the domain. The current business environment demands in the response to digitalization add to further challenges which call for the need to reconceptualise enterprise architecture to be relevant to the emerging context. We respond to this call by presenting a comprehensive review of the literature concerning enterprise architecture and management to facilitate future work. Our review revealed various facets related to enterprise architecture and enterprise architecture management which we present and discuss here. Further, we also chart out possible areas of future explorations. By doing so, this research lays a foundation for continuing inquiry on enterprise architecture and management, contributing to new knowledge for the field.

As reproduction of images can be done with ease, copy detection has increasingly become important. In the duplication process, image modifications are likely to occur and some alterations are deliberate and can be viewed as attacks. A wide range of copy detection techniques has been proposed. In our study, content-based copy detection, which basically applies DCT-based features for images, namely, pixel values, edges, texture information and frequency-domain component distribution, is employed. Experiments are carried out to evaluate robustness and sensitivity of DCT-based features from attacks. As different types of DCT-based features hold different pieces of information, how features and attacks are related can be shown in their robustness and sensitivity. Rather than searching for proper features, use of robustness and sensitivity is proposed here to realize how the attacked features have changed when an image attack occurs. The experiments show that, out of ten attacks, the neural networks are able to detect seven attacks namely, Gaussian noise, S&P noise, Gamma correction (high), blurring, resizing (big), compression and rotation with mostly related to their sensitive features.

Knowledge drives business innovation. However, even if companies have the same knowledge element in the business ecosystem, innovation performance varies depending on the structural position of the technical knowledge network. This study investigated whether there is a difference in exploitative innovation according to the structural position of the AI technical knowledge network. We collected patents from the top 100 digital companies registered with the US Patent Office from 2015 to 2019 and classified the companies into knowledge producer-based brokers, knowledge absorber-based brokers, knowledge absorbers, and knowledge producers from the perspective of knowledge creation and flow. The analysis results are as follows. First, a few of the top 100 digital companies disseminate, absorb, and mediate knowledge, while the majority do not. Second, exploitative innovation is the largest, in the order of knowledge producer, knowledge absorber-based broker, knowledge absorber, and knowledge producer-based broker. Finally, patents for industrial intelligence occupy a large proportion, and knowledge producers are leading exploitative innovation. Therefore, latecomers need to expand their resources and capabilities by citing patents owned by leading companies and converge with existing industries into AI-based industries.

The low use of e-vehicles in Yogyakarta City and Pekanbaru City is an essential issue for local governments to maximize e-government policies in both regions. The purpose of this research is to analyze people’s attitudes and factors influencing the community of e-Samsat (e-Vehicle tax) users in developing the UMEGA theory, namely technology and government trust. This is a quantitative research based on the philosophy of positivism, which is used to examine populations and individual samples. Data were collected using research instruments and quantitatively analyzed. Furthermore, the hypothesis of the obtained data was tested using SEM-PLS. The results showed that social influence does not affect attitudes of e-Samsat (e-Vehicle tax) users. Furthermore, the study showed that the development of umega theory by adding variables of trust in technology and government affects people’s behavior in using e-Samsat services.

Social networking services (SNS) is an indispensable method in order to obtain information of the Internet participants. The study identified three variables of social media communication, sharing culture, and online trust in terms of social capital theory (SCT) and reviewed intention& behavior variables in terms of theory of planned behavior (TPB). The data were collected from 330 samples of SNS user, and were involved, and the research model uses AMOS to make confirmatory factor analysis. The findings confirmed our hypothesis that social media communication, sharing culture, and online trust affect individuals’ behaviors to sharing information. This study emphasizes that not only social media communication but also sharing culture to SNS can stimulate information sharing. while previous research has predominately focused on personal cognition or social network, the study examines the integrated influence of communication, culture and trust on information sharing in SNS. In sum, by explicating the unique role of social capital, this paper aims at contributing to the continued development and success of SNS in general.

The growth of social media has enabled firms to create virtual organizations (online communities) in which value can be co-created with members. Yet, current typologies of firm-sponsored online communities focus either on the firm or participants, and not the interaction between them. This paper provides a systematic review of the online community literature from 2000 to 2018 to develop an understanding of the types of firm-sponsored online communities and the co-creation of value within them. Four types of sponsored online communities are found. These can be differentiated based on the output for the sponsoring firm and the level of self-organization of the communities. This study contributes to the discussion of value co-creation by (i) shedding light on differences among firm-sponsored online community types based on the level and nature of interaction within an online community; and (ii) examining the perceived value co-created through community interactive experiences.

The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the current status of Industry 4.0 policies in India and provide holistic policy recommendations in the transition towards Industry 4.0. The study was conducted based on the content-centric review of written policy documents like policy memoranda (memos), green papers and white papers, policy briefs, policy reports, opinion pieces, and newspaper and academic publications on Industry 4.0. India lacks infrastructure, regulatory framework, architectural reference model, incentives, skills, and standard roadmap towards Industry 4.0. The current policy status and policy recommendations presented in this study can serve as a great asset for academicians, policymakers, and practitioners to prepare a holistic roadmap for Industry 4.0 policy implementation. The study is first to assess India’s current policy status and compare with Germany towards Industry 4.0. Besides, it is expected to assist government policymakers in formulating tangible policy outputs and strategic roadmaps.
