This study proposes the course of obsolete dwelling site. 'Complexity theory' is brought not for making the city, but the ground of explaining the site. Soo-Jung dong has characteristics which is steep and obsolete dwelling area. The outside space of residence with having a public character produces various meanings through daily life. As gathered them having a complexity, it forms a community relationship with neighborhood. For accepting this actively, this study sees soo-jung dong, busan city which is metropolis site condition to understand with 'complextiy system', diagnose with 'voronoi diagram'. Therefore this study propose the 'public rental housing community' that can change isolated human relations to community that mutual understanding is possible for evolving steep and obsolete dwelling site.

The city has been changing. The city scape was transformed by build the railroad and highway. In the other side we call 'slow city' which keep won pace release from the fast changing. It can be look like leaved space because of it is turned over. But it's genuineness contain our life that respect for the our own pace. I suppose the remodeling for this space will not only keep the place's genuineness but also one of the method about develop the city with it's won pace. That methods are three factor. One is Connection of people to people, people to space and people to food. Anther is Sustainability of space, energy, nature and environment. The other is Health of walking, jogging and bicycle. These are not only give a satisfaction, but also find a our own pace.

As Post-modernism appears around us the meaning of sports has been changed. In the past, sports was all about competition. Winner was honored and remembered whereas loser was forgottened and disappeared. However people recently started to think that there could be goals other than winning or competitng each other. They enjoyed sports in many ways with varied goals and different idea of winning. Sports became something not serious but enjoyable. While the concept of sports has been developed, sports facility and space has not made much difference. In fact, it was hard to suggest which form sports facility should take in order to keep up with new sports. A newly suggested sports space takes form of ground around the site so that people wouldn't think it as a independent building. It has changeable surface which are composed of many different shapes and size of panels that it communicates with people who use it. It is one big fluctuating playground for all of us. It is made for not few kind of sports but many unspecified sports activities. Moreover there are sports shops and retails inside the building that visitors can buy sports goods and play games all together. Sports activity works as entertainment for retails while the letter assist people in enjoying sports activities. It may not be a sports center we used to know, but a post-modern sports space for all of us.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the Choryang dong incline house according to the Bergson's memory theory. ‘Multi-functional town’ aims for the non-hierarchy and decentralized, deviated from the notion of the Busan present village. We trace out the close-relationship ‘The traditional nature based town’ with all its flaws and limitations, is more sustainable socially and environmentally. The old culture reflected fundamental human needs while respecting natural limits.

The purpose of this study was to propose the way to composite facilities for senior citizen in urban area based on the otherness theory. The otherness theory is especially based on the Meduss myth. According to the the Meduss myth, the otherness is considered not to coexist with the identity of itself. With the conclusion that the otherness and the identity can not exist at the same time although they have same base, the topic will be discussed.

The purpose of this study was to regenerate the side street of the old housing according to the introduction of digilog elements. Digilog was used with the concept which was combined with digital and analog. The results of this study were as follows; the introduction of digilog elements composed of lighting, sound and reflection was able to extend the community of old housing complex. So it can regenerate side streets of old housing complex.

The point of time in a high science development and today's change gone quickly, people have been going to live with nature. Landscape architecture isn't the way seeing a building as an object while nature is a background, but also the way making them positive relation by destroying their boundary. This destroyed boundary doesn't stop being shown only at the outside. It destroys a boundary among the bottom, column and roof in inside a building. At this destroying boundary process, topology concept can be used. Topology is the branch of mathematics that studies the properties of a space that are preserved under continuous deformations. A museum will be formed by folding in topology. Topology will make the space continuous. Topology and landscape architecture concept will be used at Chung-nam national university nature history museum.

The purpose of this study is to design science interactive exhibition whose application is focused on linking space of 'Rhizome' architecture. 'Rhizome' is a new concept which is appearing in many academic fields under the influence of the post-structuralism. 'Rhizome' is the concept that the philosopher, Gilles Delueze & Felix Guattari had argued. 'Mille plateaux'. Especially it makes it possible to express complicated concept and visualization of modeling. 'Rhizome' architecture accepts 'Linking' of sapce and has an influence on the shape of architecture. 'Rhizome' architecture reflects on the contemporary digital age which makes our thoughts and methods of our lives change. So after the investigate into theoretical background of the Linking of 'Rhizome' and analysis of examples which used linking of 'Rhizome' architecture, I propose science interactive exhibition design, whose application is focused on space of 'Rhizome' architecture.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the Landscape Architecture and to grasp the type and character of the Manipulation of Plate in Landscape Architecture. Character of Landscape will be grasped with refer to theory and sundry records. The type of Manipulation of Plate in Landscape be grasped with analyze and compare case of the work of Rem Koolhaas and MVRDV. First the method of a investigation is to analyze characteristics of the Manipulation of Plate in their Works and divided into the type of Manipulation of Plate. After all, landscape attains the continuity according to the Manipulation of Plate.

The purpose of this study is to suggest healthcare facilities as ecological architecture. The physical environmental health of human mainly depends on the quality of architectural natural environment. so it is very important to prepare rehabilitation landscape environment on the healthcare setting. this study proceeds to search planning factors of healthcare facilities in ecological architecture through study of Ecological Theory of Perception. It also explain the important of ecological planning methods, and suggest a way of architectural planning oh healthcare facilities in future, through the study of the feature and analysis of application methods. The future rehabilitation hospital should provide reduction of the effect on environments, increasing amenity, rehabilitation landscape. To create healthcare facilities ecological is essential not only to human but also human survival.

The purpose of this study is to analyze fractal geometry and to apply modeling-principal, form-organization in archiecture design. There are self-similarity, random, irregularity, unpredictable in fractal geometry that can be applied to architectural design analysis and modeling-principal. And there are scaling, superimposition, and repetition in the fractal formative elements that can be applied to design concept and process in architecture. Form-organization algorithm is composed of, form-originator, form-creater, and Form-organization algorithm, three steps. This study shows fractal geometry can be reflected on the architectural action and logical process.

The aim of this study is to forecast characteristics of dynamic expression in the architecture design by analyzing characteristics and trends in dynamic expressions of the architecture. In general structural analysis, we built 3-D framework model that is not have stiffness of the slab. A slab stiffness unconsidered analysis makes a noticeable analysis tolerance. To attach great importance to consider this point, in this study, We use the program ETABS to analysis slab as a cell. We performed 3-D structure analysis that is similar to the real structure. The purpose of this study is to search that how the slab stiffness make real effects to the result of overall real structural analysis. This study compared and reviewed two different ways using 3-D frame analysis including slab stiffness to find how the slab stiffness effects. As a result, It is hard to interpret the error allowed between the two models. In the actual structural analysis, A margin of error to interpret the analysis results of a structure, we need finite element analysis of that considering the slab stiffness.

Long-span girder system is used to that utilization of inner space. It has a good merit in the practical use. But because girder's stiffness and strength is law, a large deflection and a large mass problem follows. The purpose of this study is to improve the parameter influencing the deflection and strength, and to find the optimization of the section properties - the minimum -weighted structure. Pratt truss system weak to the shear resistance, so we used braces to increase shear stiffness. And optimization method is used to the model analysis in order to obtain the minimum-weight and the minimum deflection. The system is optimized virendeelizine to the non shear affected range.

hear failures in the beam-column joint area and it may resulted in large structural collapse. In this study, experimental investigations into the performance of reinforced concrete beam-column joints strengthened with the carbon fiber-reinforced polymer(CFRP) were presented. The CFRP sheets were applied to the RC beam-column joint area with different configurations to determine the effective way to improve structural performances of joints. Based on the experimental study, it was concluded that the CFRP retrofit for the RC beam-column joints would be an effective way to provide the significant improvement of flexural capacity and ductility for the RC beam-column joints designed with non-seismic details.

This paper performed to predict a variation of temperature of steel columns with spray-applied fire resistive material during fire events. A variation of temperature of steel columns was regulated by FEM analyses accodingly exposed time of fire ( 1hour, 2hour, 3hour). The variation of temperature was researched by reduction of thickness and removal size. Accoding to this study, The steel temperature increase as the removal size and reduction of thickness increase. Also, Evens small remnants of resistive material of fire led to an effective reduction of temperature at any given fire duration as compared to comlpately removal steel column.

This study was investigated the variation of environmental wind effects by the arrangement of apartment complex. Recently, most of Korean live in apartments, however, the evaluation of wind environment has not been made as standard. Therefore, 3 prototypes of apartment arrangement such as I, V, E was studied. Wind direction changed from 0 to 360 degree per 22.5 degree. Wind pressure tests were studied on the boundary-layer wind tunnel at Kumoh National Institute of Technology. The results were evaluated by Murakami criteria for environmental wind condition method and wind velocity distribution method. It is known that wind velocity distribution was depended on the arrangement of apartment complex.

The purpose of this study is to calculate wind force coefficients for the design of signboards in Korea. The need of a study on drag force coefficients of the signboard has been recognized for many years. The high frequency force balance test was conducted on 5 types of signboard models at Kumoh National Institute of Technology. Drag force coefficients with various aspect ratios(B/C) 0.5, 1, 2 and clearance ratios(C/H) 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 are tested for 0° wind direction. Then, we compared experiment data with ASCE and Letchford's design data. The results of this study is 18% less value than Letchford's design data.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate of habitability on buildings under machine induced vibration. In order to evaluate of habitability, we have measured the accelerations at six different points in a machine room which is located at Kumoh Institute of Technology. This measurement values were analysed as velocity, displacement by numerical integral. After that, the results were applied to foreign building code. This study can be used for basic evaluating method of machine induced vibration.

The natural sand will be dried up within 30 years due to the great amount of consumption in making of construction materials. For conserving natural sand resources, the waste concrete can be recycled as a important construction materials. Because recycled sand produced from the reprocessing of waste concrete is being spotlighted in the environmental and economic aspects. so, the recycled sand manufactured from the waste concrete has been taken a side view of concrete. But, the physical characteristics falls against the natural sand, the recycled sand concrete which uses this as well the various engineering quality including the compressive strength decreases. so. social, technical reliability is not used lowly at construction etc. It is used only molding. Consequently, the fundamental physical properties of the recycled sand and about fundamental physical properties of the recycled sand where the value becomes dying research leads and grasps verification leads about safely and in goal of the research the fact that will encourage a wide use the recycled sand. Experimental result, that quality recycled sand quality below standard the indolent putting out high quality recycled sand is visible the nature which gets near to the natural sand is serviceable with construction.

Recycling of waste concrete will contribute not only to the solution of a growing waste disposal problem, also help to conserve natural resources of aggregate and to secure future supply of reasonably recycled aggregates for building construction purpose within large urban areas. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the applicability of recycled concrete in the influence of a substitute rate of recycled aggregate. As the result of this study, it is possible to conform that the recycled aggregate concrete substituted by 30~50% of the crushed aggregate can be applicated in site.

There are several methods for strengthening the RC beams such as by using steel plate, carbon fiber plate, tendon and steel bar. This paper is an analytical study for strengthening RC beams with the high-strength bars. When strengthened RC beam reaches the yield point, the internally reinforced rebars reach the yield point, but the externally reinforced high-strength bars may not reach the yield point. In general, the strain value of the externally reinforced high-strength bars show less than that of the internally reinforced rebars. This phenomenon must be considered in the design process. If the externally reinforced high-strength bar is yielded, the design process becomes much simpler. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data of the design equation considering the geometry of bars and initial stress. The purpose of this study is to induce to be yielded by high-strength bars by controlling geometry of high-strength bars and initial stress.

If Portland cement is left in the air or stored in the ventilated container, its quality will be degraded because it reacts to moisture or carbon dioxide in the air. This phenomenon is called cement weathering. If cement is put into a burlap bag and kept in a storehouse for a long period, the one or two centimeter layer inside the bag is hardened and cannot be cracked by hands easily after one month or two. Cement weathering includes both hydration and carbonation, and cement particles are actually covered with the calcium carbonate layer, which reduces the cement compound reactivity. This study intends to find out how much the moisture and carbon dioxide in the air affect cement compressive strength and specific gravity by changing their storing methods.

Through the process of diversification in the knowledge-based society of the 21st century, the role of local communities is gaining importance for universities, in addition to the basic role of education. due to the recent amendment to education budgets, the presidents of private and public universities are able to decide their own budgets and lower the rate of dependence on tuition fees by strengthening school resources via profitable business connections. They are also able to open their excellent facilities to the surrounding communities. In accordance with these changes, universities in the metropolitan area have already begun making their facilities profitable and have made appropriate analyses. On the contrary, universities in Busan have a lack of interest in revenue- making and insufficient basic data to support it. Hence this study will provide a plan to revitalize relating to profitable business for universities in Busan, by researching and analyzing present condition of use of the university facilities and programs, classifying them by age, sex and occupation, and analyzing user‘s satisfaction.
