- Through the process of diversification in the knowledge-based society of the 21st century, the role of local communities is gaining importance for universities, in addition to the basic role of education. due to the recent amendment to education budgets, the presidents of private and public universities are able to decide their own budgets and lower the rate of dependence on tuition fees by strengthening school resources via profitable business connections. They are also able to open their excellent facilities to the surrounding communities. In accordance with these changes, universities in the metropolitan area have already begun making their facilities profitable and have made appropriate analyses. On the contrary, universities in Busan have a lack of interest in revenue- making and insufficient basic data to support it. Hence this study will provide a plan to revitalize relating to profitable business for universities in Busan, by researching and analyzing present condition of use of the university facilities and programs, classifying them by age, sex and occupation, and analyzing user‘s satisfaction.
