Sealants cause problem that exfoliation with surface and breaking of sealants by a change of temperature, humidity and wind pressure according as time passes. In this study, it was intended to provide solution for choose a sealant which satisfy the requirement on the joint when sealing construction. For this purpose, after producing experimental specimens, tests were performed to analyze the elongation and adhesive strength according to the kind of sealants and surface. The result of this study, the elongation, adhesive strength and modulus of elasticity show wide difference depending on the kind of sealant without related surface material. Therefore, sealing construction need appropriate use according to sealant type.

In this study, the experiment was carried out to investigate and analyze the influence of unit water variation on the properties of concrete using meta-kaolin. The main experimental variables were water/binder ratio 30, 40, 50(%), water content 165, 170, 175(kg/㎥) and replacement ratio of meta-kaolin 0, 10, 20, 30(%). According to the test results, the principle conclusions are summarized as follows. 1) The consistency of meta-kaolin mixed concrete tends to differ with compactability of fresh concrete according to unit weight in W/B ratio. 2) The air content of meta-kaolin mixed concrete tends to be unrelated with unit weight variation. 3) The compressive strength of meta-kaolin mixed concrete tends to increase, as the unit weight increases. 4) The stress-deformation curve of meta-kaolin mixed concrete tends to create rather high elastic coefficient, excepting unit weight 170㎏/㎥ in W/B 30%.

Recently, The huge impact of Information Technology adoption have made great changes in large parts of industries. Therefore, construction companies are trying to enhance productivity and to raise their competitiveness in the market by adopting information technology(IT). To this end, it is essential to develop a appropriate planning methodology for PMIS(Project Management Information System) in construction field. The purpose of this research is to suggest the systematic methods of evaluating the construction companies' information systems and establishing a long-term information strategy. The major results of this research are summarized as follows : we need to introduced PMIS, ASP, any other solutions, and its use on this study. And also, in IT policy side, it is need to make information classification standards, integrated D/B system, construction CALS standards and any other criterion related with IT standards.

The fault construction is one of the major factors that not only carry tremendous economic burdens to the nation and its people's back but also will not be survived on the fierce international competition in future. The domestic construction industry confused a definition, role and effectiveness of the CM. Because it lacks a systematic and deep research in the introduction process. Also it lacks a sufficient benchmarking with an advanced country. Therefore if we make a solution and analyze a problem through the CM application case, the domestic CM growth will be activated. As a method of research, we investigated a limit factor of the CM activation and case of the CM application. We plan to analyze the feature, organization and range of business in the newly builded D cultural welfare hall. Then we will find a problem and present a solution for domestic settling of the CM. As a result of research, we presented a solution of problem that occurred in placing an order, contact, design, approval, permission and construction. Because the project is the showing project if it is improved and supported systematically, it will be the good management model of construction industry and be a meaningful project in the future.

Until now, we haven't had a confident decision making system for priority of the pavement maintenance though the procedure of PMS is about 15% of total road maintenance procedure. So, the budget for road maintenance have inefficiently allocated to road maintenance projects regardless of priority without scientific analysis or reasonal decision making system. Also, we couldn't well consider qualitative indexes even though these kinds of factors affect on the feasibility of road maintenance projects. In this study, we suggested a level structure and criteria that can be adopted for the appraisal of urban road maintenance projects. Also, the results of characteristics of preference indicates that present situation of pavement road is considered as the most important factor getting weighted value of 0.452 as we expected. But the affection factors to destruction and policy factors are also considered as a important factors. It means that we need to establish a model to support priority appraisal. Also, there are no statistical difference of weighted value among factors by specialists.

This study investigates the effectiveness of cold weather concreting with various form types, applied in column placement. For the properties of temperature history with diverse form types, specimens using steel plate or wooden form indicated under 0〫 C in 20 hours at curing room, especially; concrete using steel plate directly decreased under 0〫 C, regardless of measuring position. It resulted in early frost damage. Concrete with wooden form also exhibited under 0〫 C, except for the center position of the specimen. Meanwhile, temperature of concrete using bubble-board (BB) and insulation-curing-method(IM) does not indicated under 0〫 C, even in the corner of the specimens. Instead, the lowest temperature of that was 3〫 C, which is favorable result, in the corner. Core compressive strength demonstrated the different value between the specimens, depend on whether it got early frost damage. Concrete using BB or IM showed higher strength than specimens using steel plate or wooden form, due to the influence of frost damage in early 24 hours.

This paper investigated the temperature history of mass concrete mock up structure considering different heat generation by varying with mixture proportion. Setting time difference between high early strength mixture (E-P) and retarding mixture (R-F30) was 14.5hours. Incorporation of 30% of fly ash contributed to 10℃ of hydration heat reduction. In generally used A and B combination, bottom concrete shows earlier hydration, while C~G combination showed reverse tendency and thus, this method can reduce the crack occurrence. For compressive strength, the mixture combination of S-F30(top section), R-F30(bottom section), which incorporate fly ash exhibits a reduction in compressive strength by as much as 5~10MPa compared with other mixture combination. There's no remarkable difference of strength development with and without fly ash based on the results of core test. Therefore, heat generation difference method has beneficial effect on reducing crack induced by hydration heat resulting from heat generation difference between surface and center section.

This study investigates influence of grain shape of crushed sand, of which particle shape is fixed artificially on concrete properties. The test results could be drawn as follows. For the fresh concrete properties, as the grain shape become more round, the fluidity of concrete increased due to reduction of internal friction caused by round shape of crushed sand, regardless of W/C ratio. Bleeding increased at early age, but the final amount of bleeding exhibited less than 0.05cm3/cm2, which was negligible regardless of W/C ratio. In addition, setting time was slightly accelerated. For the hardened concrete properties, compressive strength decreased as the grain shape become more round, while W/C 30% of tensile strength increased, and W/C 40% of it decreased. Lastly, the tensile strength of W/C 50% exhibited similar tendency. For freezing-thawing properties, relativity dynamic modulus of elasticity, which is an evaluation index of extensibility frost damage, and weight loss, which an index of scale frost damage, has no significant difference, while accelerating neutralization depth also showed similar result.

This paper is to investigate the shrinkage properties of ultra high strength concrete(UHSC) incorporating 5% of expansive additives(EA) along with 1% of shrinkage reducing agent(SRA). UHSC subjected to steam curing and incorporated with steel fiber exhibited higher compressive strength than control UHSC by as much as 50MPa at 7days, while at 28days, noticeable change in compressive strength was not observed between UHSC mixtures. Control UHSC subjected to steam curing had a 922×106 of autogenous shrinkage strain value, which was 6.7 times of drying shrinkage strain value at 42 days. The combination of EA and SRA resulted in a decrease in autogenous shrinkage by as much as half of control mixture. Steam curing contributed to the reduction of autogenous shrinkage by as much as 11% compared with that of standard curing.

This study shows the early quality improvement of concrete with calcium sulfa aluminate(CSA). For the properties of slump, plain concrete incorporating BS 35% and LSP 15% resulted in high fluidity compared with OPC without any admixture. As displacement ratio of CSA increased, the fluidity decreased. The fluidity also declined with setting time. Increase of incorporation ratio of CSA declined bleeding and accelerated setting time. Importantly, using more CSA helped to improve early compressive strength and decrease drying shrinkage. In term of water curing, drying shrinkage hardly ever occurred.

The aim of this study is suggested effective noise reduction construction about floor and wall structure for impact noise barrier insulation through performance evaluation vertically adjacent household units in apartment housings. Base on the an advance studies and research theory of the impact noise barrier insulation through Korean Industrial Standard(KS F 2810) and measurement in living rooms each 8 household. Measurement data tested by Korean Industrial Standard(KS F 2863) and analyze according to frequency band about light-weight impact sound and heavy-weight impact sound in concrete structures. And compartmentalize into floor structure variation, construction of noise reduction and combine construction and then comparison of capacity standard with a reduction of floor impact sound level standard and L-level.

The recent indoor air quality problem is a result of the improvement of building's airtightness and the use of building material containing chemicals. As a result of the increase of chemical materials and insufficient ventilation, Indoor air quality becomes worse and it is caused the harmful effects on health of occupants which is called Sick House Syndrome. To improve the indoor air quality is the most effective solution which is the use of the healthy environment materials but the second solution is dilution the pollution by the fresh outdoor air as ventilation. This experiment is recognized the variation of concentration of pollutants by the ventilation time in newly built apartment which is set up ventilation unit. We found that the concentration variation rate of HCHO and Toluene was increased rapidly in 1 hour and the effect of IAQ improvement by an air change rate is very effective. In this experiment, the general building materials which emit pollutants was used, however, we will have to conduct above the experiment by using the healthy environment materials to obtain a proper ventilation requirement and ventilation time by the feature of material selection in the apartment built newly.

The energy consumption in school building performed using Visual Doe 3.1. The analysis of energy consumption divided 3 types which are (1) the classroom is located to southward (2) the corridor is located to southward (3) the classroom with fixed overhang is located to southward. When Compared the classroom is located to southward and the corridor is located to southward, the classroom is located to southward is reduced 40% on illumination load and 10% on cooling load. Recently, Indoor air pollution has been seriously apprehended, and became striking issue and problem, due to the airtightness of buildings and the building materials contained numerous chemicals. Accordingly, air pollution causes SHS(Sick House Syndrome), BRI(Building Related Illness) to the indoor residents. In many factors of indoor air pollution, Building materials emit many of indoor air pollutants. Total VOCs is consist of many individual VOCs, we will look about concentration of Total VOCs and individual VOCs at the same time. In this Study, we made 3 kinds of Sample of building materials and indoor finishing materials, and also made equipment to measure VOCs from the samples. And then we investigated emission of VOCs each sample.

The purpose of this study is to predict outlet temperature and humidity through underground pit for the reduction of cooling load and heating load. Commonly, the underground temperature is lower than outdoor in summer but the reverse happens in winter. The outlet air temperature through underground pit which is 3m-depth and 150m-length is 24.9℃ when outdoor air temperature 32.8℃ in summer. Today, modern buildings are increasing energy consumption. To predict energy consumption and design collectly, we should consider windows size of building. Windows are important parts of the building envelopment and they need to be fully functioned. Windows are composed of high thermal-conductive materials and they are almost openable. Moreover, the heat gaines and losses through windows are larger than the wall of the building. So we shall consider energy conservation method in design of windows. Especially in summer and winter of the year, the more windows are larger the more heat loads are larger too. Therefore, we should make them small as much as possible and it is very important to predict the window size in design. In this study we compared heating and cooling load regulating the size of window through Esp-r simulation, and are going to derive the most suitable general formula.

Scientific design methods have introduced to acoustic design of music halls since 1890. Many theoretical suggestion has been tried to practical design of auditoria with successes and failure. The present paper aims to reflect the current design schemes and conceptual design principles of auditoria with the view of acoustics. Seven different design principles has been explained with the sample figure of the music hall. it was shown that appropriate techniques has been applied to control the acoustic variations in the halls and more design solutions are needed to improve the acoustic performance of the auditoria.

This study aimed to the reduction of air pollution at the operation phase of GB(Green Building) through that an analyzed to the influence of environmental factors. The quantitative analysis used by the tools of Annual Energy Load and Air Pollution on the model building, as well as artificial manipulation to the factors which scope was the possible technology in the today's or in the near future. According to this study, a reduction percentage of GHG was Window's Thermal Transmission factor; 24.9%, Window's Ratio factor; 10.7%, Wall's Thermal Transmission; 3.7%, Efficiency of Heat Plants; 3.3%, Heat Recovery of Exhaust Air; 3.0%. And Electrical Heat Plants Ratio; -15.2%, Ratio of Electrical Renewable Energy; 77.7%, Ratio of Direct Heat Renewable Energy; 19.2%, Ratio of Light Shelves Appropriation; 9.6%. Conclusion, factors in the Department of the Renewable Energy was highest ability to the reduction of GHG, next high ability to the reduction of GHG part was factors in the Department of the Architectural Environment Design.

Recently, the building envelope design on high-rise building does not consider energy-saving method and improvement of IAQ(Indoor Air Quality). It focuses on architectural design and methodological simplicity for building construction. Therefore, a curtain wall system which has weakness on thermal performance is appled on building envelope system. Mostly the building heating/cooling load from outside environment is dominated on building envelope, however, the building design stage does not regard the efficient energy saving plan. It is because that there is no practical building envelope system which satisfies both energy-saving and indoor environment improvement in building. In this research, the air-barrier-type perimeterless HVAC system installed on IT center building under construction in Seoul is studied with CFD simulation for the field applicable investigation.

Recently, there has been growing concern regarding Indoor Air Quality(IAQ) so that IAQ problems from insufficient ventilation and emission of toxic substance have become increasingly important issue. Although "regulation for air quality in the public buildings" was passed in May 2004, there are no criteria for IAQ of the new apartment housings in that rule however it is difficult to indicate the correct judgement grounds about IAQ to residents and to limit using building material which causes Sick House Syndrome(SHS). The government has been making "IAQ criteria of the new apartment buildings" since 2004, in oder to determine properness of IAQ and present it to residents. For the purpose of establishing "IAQ criteria of the new apartment buildings" in this study, IAQ of approximately new eighty apartment buildings in Gyeungnam area was measured and The result of field survey of IAQ will be used to make Data Base for criteria about "IAQ of the new apartment housings".

An acoustic design was undertaken to a small sized multi-purpose hall. Two different sound sources were taken into account to analyze the acoustics of the hall; natural source and speaker source. Computer simulations were carried out to find appropriate acoustic design facotrs of the hall. Acoustic criteria including SPL, RT, C80, D50, RASTI were analized and presented in a visualized form. Finally, It was shown that the acoustical purpose of the multi-purpose hall was acquired. the current process of the acoustic design would be a model of building the multi-purpose hall in a small size town.

In this paper, I investigated quality of building and H.V.A.C load used at existing building for energy analysis at office building. And I produced effect that building quality gets to energy amount used, I wish utilize to basic data when plans with heat source capacity choice. Analysis result of air conditioning equipment data to be gotten through this paper is applicable in building of other. (such as hospital, hotel, department store). Therefore, I thought that investigation and study for building of various usage can be proceeded more efficiently forward.

The purpose of this study was to estimate the energy consumption and economic evaluation of building opening design. In this study model building is a 10 story office building located in Pusan and 4 cases of building opening design are chosen to be compared with energy consumption and energy cost. Case 1 is the alternative which is using green glass, case 2 is clear glass, case 3 is green glass+daylight dimming control and case 4 clear glass+daylight dimming control. The results of this study were as follows; of the 4 cases, case 3 is the best alternative because the electric and gas cost are the minimum cost less than 3 other alternatives in terms of energy consumption cost. However, the economic evaluation must be considered and determined in terms of the life cycle cost, therefore the first incremental cost and operation cost of 25 years are summed in the present value of money.

This study is purpose to investigate environmental design on arrangement and plan design as well as ecological factors on the materials in the traditional house. The traditional house adapt arrangement to topography and surrounding environment. The arrangement of the middle region in Korea played the roll to prevent cold air from outdoor in winter and arrangement of southern region in Korea protected hot air from outdoor in summer. The thermal characteristics of the soil is similar to its of concrete but the moisture control of the soil is superior to its of concrete. As the embodied energy of soil is lower than concrete, the soil as construction materials could be ecological materials.

An estimate is job to calculate quantity materials which analyze two dimensions to three dimensions on drawing sheet. Generally, it is important part in building equipment field, and needs lots of experience and time. But, for lack of technology books, data research on simplified survey method, equipment designs who has not been sufficiently to field work is difficult to approach or learn it. Therefore, this research would provide basic data on the simplified method of estimate such as on accessory cost as a rate of main materials cost on education, apartment, office and hospital buildings.
