Magnetic geared motor (MGM) is a new type of permanent magnet (PM) motor that integrates conventional PM motor with magnetic gear(MG). MGM offers significant potential advantages compared to mechanical gear systems, such as reduced maintenance and improved reliability. Regarding different configurations of the armature stator, MGM can be categorized into different types, such as outer armature stator (OAS)-MGM, inner armature stator (IAS)-MGM and sandwiched armature stator (SAS)-MGM. SAS-MGM utilizes not only magnetic gearing effect, but also Vernier effect for developing resultant output torque. This paper focuses on analyzing torque performance of SAS-MGM according to pole pair combination to generate greater torque density. The output torque characteristic of SAS-MGM is analyzed using finite element analysis is employed.

In this paper, the research on the AC copper loss of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) for Electric Vehicle(EV) is carried out according to the number of conductors. For this research, the analysis method of AC copper loss is introduced, and the loss characteristics are analyzed by classifying the components of AC copper loss according to the number of conductors. The analysis is carried out from the low speed to high speed region(5,000rpm, 7,500rpm, 10,000rpm). The analysis model is EV traction IPMSM of 8 poles 72 slots. To verify reliability of the analysis, 2D-Finite Elements Analysis(2D-FEA) software tool is employed.

Recently, Smart Factory is rapidly being introduced with the aim of improving global manufacturing competitiveness thanks to government support. In the case of existing cloud-based smart factory significant insight information is produced through processing, storage, integration, and analysis processes within the cloud after data generated from production lines transferred to the cloud. The insight has been used to improve process, quality, and eliminate wastes in the factory. However, there has been some difficulties such as increased network delays and data transfer costs. Furthermore, the large impact of a single fault failure in the cloud on the entire system operation remains as unresolved risks. Above all, there has been a negative issue on spreading smart factories regarding the fact that sensitive information, such as device control and status generated during the manufacturing process, are all moved to the cloud which is outside the scope of the company's management. As a result, Edge Computer is attracting attention as one of its solutions. Edge Computer collects and pre-processes data generated in the manufacturing process in real time, quickly providing insight information on the spot through built-in Analytic function, without the help of the cloud. This overcomes the shortcomings of the cloud-based system and results in mutual benefits to cloud system and edge computer. In this paper, we present various types of topologies on how these Edge computers can be utilized within various smart factory system structures and consider its advantages and disadvantages and utility value.

In this paper, code tracking loop was designed and the timing tracking performance of 1st order and 2nd order Delay-Locked Loop(DLL) for S-CDMA cable modem was evaluated in impulse, AWGN, and frequency offset channel environment. The designed 1st order DLL showed insufficient tracking performance in severe impulse noise or large frequency offset. On the other hand, the designed 2nd order DLL of loop gain G1=0.8, G2=0.01 showed good tracking performance with noticeable reduction of jitter.

In this paper, the novel particle swarm optimization (PSO), which adopt the strategy of adaptive distance-based inertia weight is proposed to get the decreasing analysis time and accurate performance of the algorithm. The basic searching strategy is that divide the inner search area and outer search area. When the particles are located in the inner or outer search area, the inertia weight is set as specified value, based on the position. In the inner search area, the inertia weight is changed on the distance equation which calculate the length between the position of particle and the global minimum point. To verify the effectiveness of the novel PSO algorithm, the conventional and proposed algorithm are compared with the Branin, Goldstein and Restrigin test functions. Moreover, the proposed novel PSO algorithm is applied to design the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM).

The 5G communication technology has high reliability, low-latency communication functions, and many device access functions. It is expected that these new functions of 5G mobile network will transform ecosystems in other industries. Europe is developing systems and technologies to utilize 5G as a means to realize Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 at the European Union level. By converging 5G communication technology and social systems, the B2B market will expand and the fourth industrial revolution will accelerate. The concept of 5G private networks was introduced in order for 5G to be used deeply in the industrial sector. Regarding 5G private networks, 3GPP has been developing standards since Release 16. The 5G is expected to play a role as part of social infrastructure in the future, and 5G private networks will evolve depending on related technologies or social changes. In this work, we present four scenarios for building private networks. It is a completely independent private network with 5G air networks, a configuration that shares base stations with MNO, a configuration that shares control planes with base stations, and finally uses the hosting function of MNO.
