This study aims to investigate and present the literature on color therapy that originated in the West and spread to Korea. Through the research, the following conclusions were drawn: First, light has its own unique wavelength and vibration in each color, and there is a scientific fact that when specific color energy is absorbed by the human body, it affects the energy flow within the body, and can be used for disease treatment or psychotherapy. Accordingly, all types of colors can be used as a color healing method to maintain personal health and balance. Second, since light absorbs or reflects only specific colors depending on the nature of the object, it can be seen that colors have a ‘purposefulness’ that selectively selects colors and utilizes them for necessary purposes, and that colors also have a ‘functionality’ that reflects human psychological changes. These two characteristics can be used to exert positive effects through selective stimulation of the human mind and body. Third, color therapy uses color to create a variety of realistic color diagnostic tests and can be applied to treatment by using color in various places.

As a study on sensitive scalp, which is increasing due to unbalanced living environment, stress, excessive work, and stimulating food habits among scalp problems that cause hair loss, scalp tonic was used for men and women in their 20s to 50s with sensitive scalp. The purpose of the study is to verify the effect of home care on improving sensitive scalp health and to suggest an easy care method to improve the sensitive scalp health of busy modern people.The evaluation analysis visually evaluated the images on the monitor using the IBM SPSS Statistics window 25.0 program and a diagnostic device. As a result, the change in moisture content of the sensitive scalp was observed before and after in the experimental and comparison groups. In the experimental group, home care scalp tonic care was proven to be effective in increasing the moisture content of sensitive scalp. (t=-3.277, p<.01).The effect of improving the color of the sensitive scalp and reducing the amount of dead skin cells was confirmed as a result of pre- and post-scalp measurements of the experimental and comparison groups. The experimental group that used the home care scalp tonic became clear and transparent due to a reduction in the red color of the scalp, and the dead skin cells on the scalp were also significantly reduced. The average satisfaction with scalp tonic products was 4.33 points, and the satisfaction with the effects of using the products was 4.19 points. In other words, it was confirmed that home care scalp tonic care is helpful in improving sensitive scalp health.

In this study, the effective active ingredients of coffee waste extract and the caffeine content of coffee waste were confirmed using a high pressure hydrothermal extraction method to confirm the potential of coffee waste as a circular resource and a recycling material. In order to determine whether extraction of coffee waste affects caffeine reduction, ethanol content was soaked at room temperature for 48 hours at ratios of 0%, 30%, 50%, 70%, 100%, and then extract by high pressure hydrothermal extractor. As a result of quantitative analysis of caffeine on coffee waste using LC-MS, a caffeine reduction rate of 54.7% was confirmed in the coffee waste recovered after extraction with 70% ethanol hydrothermal extractor. Additionally, based on the results of a preliminary experiment that confirmed the highest caffeine reduction rate in high pressure hydrothermal extracted coffee waste with 70% ethanol content, in this experiment, extraction was repeated 3 times using coffee waste with 70% ethanol content in the same method as the preliminary experiment proceeded. Based on the results of a previous experiment that confirmed the highest caffeine reduction rate in hot water-extracted coffee waste with ethanol content of 70% in this experiment additional extraction was repeated three times using coffee waste with an ethanol content of 70% using the same method as the previous experiment. As a result of quantitative analysis of caffeine in coffee waste using LC-MS in this experiment, a high reduction rate of 98.7% of caffeine content was confirmed to be removed from coffee waste recovered by repeated extraction with 70% ethanol three times. The Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety confirmed that decaffeination, which removes 90% of the caffeine content, is possible with just two repeated experiments of coffee bean extraction. Therefore, it is expected that application to decaffeinated recycled products will be possible through repeated extraction of coffee grounds, which are discarded waste.

This study comprehensively analyzed the physicochemical properties and effects on hair of two types of oxidation-based darkening shampoos, S1 and S2. Through the analysis of the product ingredients, it was confirmed that these shampoos play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing hair color, as well as in cleansing and protecting the scalp. The unique ingredients in each product were found to contribute to additional nutrition, antioxidation, scalp soothing, and activation. The measurement of pH and electrical conductivity revealed important physicochemical properties related to the cleansing power and darkening effect of the products. Particle size analysis using Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) showed significant differences in particle size and distribution between S1 and S2, indicating a substantial impact on product performance. Colorimetric analysis revealed that S2 demonstrated a significant darkening effect with a rapid decrease in L* value from the initial use, while S1 showed a more gradual change in color. Morphological analysis using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) indicated that S1 caused more physical damage during the cleansing process, whereas S2 better preserved the hair cuticle. These findings are expected to provide practical information for the development of darkening shampoos targeting gray hair and suggest the importance of further research to enhance the performance and user experience of such products.

This study analyzed consumer perceptions and hair loss management behaviors related to stress-induced alopecia based on social media using big data analysis methods. Text data were collected from Naver, Daum, and Google using the Textom, a big data analysis solution service focusing on stress-induced alopecia and scalp management, from January 2020 to December 2022 for three years. The collected data were refined and analyzed, and cluster analysis was performed using the correlation coefficient used in CONCOR analysis, comparing the number of keywords and their frequency ratios. The keyword collection totaled 202,372 cases, confirming a 13% annual increase in keyword volume from 2020. The top 5 keywords by frequency analysis were 'hair loss (12,795)', 'scalp care (12,680)', 'stress (7,301)', 'hair (2,959)', and 'shampoo (1,795)'. Similar clusters with high similarity in dendrogram were grouped at level 2, forming four hair loss clusters. Cluster 1 showed the distribution of words like shampoo, product, ingredient, and home care, indicating 'direct management'. Cluster 2 comprised words like hospital, treatment, patient, and disease, representing 'medical treatment'. Cluster 3 included keywords like head spa, salon, service, and professional, indicating 'professional care'. Cluster 4 grouped words like hair loss, stress, worry, and concern, representing 'hair loss perception'. The research results of the four clusters show an increasing consumer awareness and interest in hair loss each year. Consumer preferences for hair loss management methods were ranked as 'professional care', 'direct management', and 'medical treatment' in order of preference.
