Due to continuous environmental pollution, the use of shower filters in routine life is increasing, and the number of patients is steadily increasing due to rust in aging pipes and various bacteria and viruses17 that inhabit underground water. In addition, huge budgets and processes are being invested in the operation of the water purification system, but there is still growing anxiety over drinking water and living water. Various products including vitamins and scents are introduced in shower filters, but generally, the filter cycle is short or the stored water causes germs. Therefore, this study conducted a study on functional antibacterial balls that showed antibacterial function even when water was stored using a 3D printer. In this study, in order to manufacture antibacterial balls in shower filter, the balls of PLA, PE, and PETG were first manufactured with 3D printer, and 0.01M and 0.05M diazonium salts were bonded on to the surface of the balls of each material, and the antimicrobial coating was carried out through metal adhesive reaction. Antibacterial balls coated with antibacterial on each material are expected to maintain antibacterial properties for a long time, as they have been formed through chemical displacement-sharing bonds unlike conventional ceramic antimicrobial balls. In this study, the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) analysis7-11 confirmed that diazonium salts were well bonded to each plastic surface, and that 0.05M diazonium salts were more than 7 times the gatzonium salts on the plastic ball surface. In addition, the analysis of antimicrobiality by Spectrophotometer confirmed that all three types of plastics coated with 0.05M diazonium salt do not proliferate after an hour. The results of this study are expected to show excellent antibacterial effects if anti-bacterial balls are applied to household water and drinking water as well as shower filters.

Astrigent persimmon fruit resources have been used traditionally to treat different systemic diseases and acclaimed for various biological activities including hair growth. This study investigates the hair restoration efficacy of astrigent persimmon fruit extracts on genetically predisposed to balding pattern Black mice model. Water extract of astrigent persimmon fruit(10 mg/mouse/day) with standardized vehicle formulation, only vehicle and positive control minoxidil (2%) were applied daily until completion of two full hair growth generations. The changing pattern of hair growth were observed through two hair growth generations of C57BL/6 Black mice. The hair existing area and hair length was increased significantly (P > 0.001) in astrigent persimmon fruit treated mice than vehicle-treated control mice. Furthermore, histological assessment revealed that the number of hair follicles did not remarkably increase after astrigent persimmon fruit treatment in compare to control mice. Thus, our data revealed that the topical application of astrigent persimmon fruit may promote hair growth in nude mice by extend the hair existing area and increase hair length which is an indicator of prolong anagen phase.

This study investigated brand naming of Korean beauty salons and proceeded to propose sustainable branding and marketing strategy. Among the top 10 beauty salon names that were searched by Naver and combined with the name + hairdresser on each club in Seoul area We analyzed 84 names except duplicate names. Also, the theoretical background of branding and brand naming is examined and the previous research on the management strategy that the beauty salon is aiming at is examined. As a result, foreign language was most used as a brand name of beauty salon. The most common use of the word 'hair' was in the hair cosmetics industry, and the syllables were the most common with 4 syllables. This study analyzed the current status of brand naming in beauty salons and investigated branding strategies in the future

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogel is attracting widespread attention for its biocompatibility, sterilization, and transparency, which are vital properties when it is used as material for articular cartilage or contact lenses. However, the inherent shortcomings of PVA hydrogel, such as poor thermal stability and mechanical properties limit its application. In this study, PVA hydrogel was reinforced with cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) coated by a surfactant (e.g., Span 60 and Tween 20). And then characterized their properties by DSL, TGA, FT-IR, and swelling ratio. We confirmed the surfactant-coating on CNC was successfully carried out from FT-IR, and PVA hydrogel was increased thermal degradation temperature from 330 oC to 351 oC with increasing S-CNC concentration. In addition, the swelling ratio of PVA hydrogel was decreased dramatically from 640% to 50% with increasing S-CNC concentration.

The vesicle can storage and transport materials and have the same structure as the human body's cell membrane, thus attracting attention in various industries such as drug delivery systems (DDS) and transdermal delivery systems (TDS). The vesicles' size and stability are important factors in DDS and TDS as they affect the amount of the material and the time span over which the material is released. Therefore, it is important to make vesicles that are stable in size. In this work, the vesicle's size was optimized, and an analysis was performed to determine the material contained within the vesicle. To optimize the vesicles' size, the concentration of lipids and the extrusion flow rate, which can affect the size of the vesicles, were optimized, and results were obtained as < 0.4% and 0.3 mL/min, respectively. Also, we confirmed that 2.6 μM of calcein was contained in the calcein containing vesicle by the internal standard method. From these results, AF4 can be a useful tool for characterizing vesicles' size and size distribution. It also provides its applicability as a separating and preparing method to obtain the desired size range vesicles.
