Due to continuous environmental pollution, the use of shower filters in routine life is increasing, and the number of patients is steadily increasing due to rust in aging pipes and various bacteria and viruses17 that inhabit underground water. In addition, huge budgets and processes are being invested in the operation of the water purification system, but there is still growing anxiety over drinking water and living water. Various products including vitamins and scents are introduced in shower filters, but generally, the filter cycle is short or the stored water causes germs. Therefore, this study conducted a study on functional antibacterial balls that showed antibacterial function even when water was stored using a 3D printer. In this study, in order to manufacture antibacterial balls in shower filter, the balls of PLA, PE, and PETG were first manufactured with 3D printer, and 0.01M and 0.05M diazonium salts were bonded on to the surface of the balls of each material, and the antimicrobial coating was carried out through metal adhesive reaction. Antibacterial balls coated with antibacterial on each material are expected to maintain antibacterial properties for a long time, as they have been formed through chemical displacement-sharing bonds unlike conventional ceramic antimicrobial balls. In this study, the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) analysis7-11 confirmed that diazonium salts were well bonded to each plastic surface, and that 0.05M diazonium salts were more than 7 times the gatzonium salts on the plastic ball surface. In addition, the analysis of antimicrobiality by Spectrophotometer confirmed that all three types of plastics coated with 0.05M diazonium salt do not proliferate after an hour. The results of this study are expected to show excellent antibacterial effects if anti-bacterial balls are applied to household water and drinking water as well as shower filters.
