Oils, amorphous polymers, and powders of silicone have been used in cosmetics for many years. Silicon based powders are silica, cross-linked polysiloxanes, and polysilsesquioxanes that have chemical structures of -(SiO2)n-, -(SiOR2)n-, and -(SiRO1.5)n-, respectively. Polymethylsilsesquioxane is the first and the most representative polysilsesquioxane powder used in cosmetics of different types. Polysilsesquioxane powders are virtually perfect spheres and provide excellent sensory that may be creamy for smaller sized powders and silky for larger sized powders. Polysilsesquioxanes are often prepared from alkyl substituted trialkoxysilane in forms of oiligomers, soluble polymers, and insoluble spherical powders. In our laboratory, we have pursued preparation of polysilsesquioxane powders with different compositions that leads to different properties. In order to prepare polysilsesquioxane powders with higher refractive indices, we investigated preparation of polyphenylsilsesquioxane powders from phenyltrialkoxysilane. In this study polyphenylsilsesquioxane powders were obtained in low yields and their chemical and physical properties were examined.

Oyster shells produce 280,000 tons of waste each year, but their processing limitations have adversely affected the environment, aquaculture and tourism. In additioncalcium carbonate, which is a natural aggregate necessary for the manufacture of various block products for construction and engineering, is a necessary ingredient for the manufacture of various block products. Calcium carbonate, which is a component of oyster patch, is used in food, medicine and cosmetics, has a wide range of recycling options. Therefore, by recycling oyster shells, cost reduction and environmental problems can be solved.1) However, it is necessary to maintain a stable physical property of compressive strength and absorption rate to recycle oyster chips into cosmetic functional or block materials.2) In this study, to improve the compressive strength and water absorption of the physical properties of oyster shells, block was prepared by adding polymer hardener. The size of the oyster shell was divided into three sizes to investigate the effect of size distribution of oyster shell on water uptake and compressive strength. In addition, cement produced 25 % of the oyster shell mass, 10 % of the polymer hardener, 10 % of the cement mass, and 20 % of the water and polymer hardener, based on 100 g of oyster shell. The EVA-Acryl-Latex composite polymer curing agent developed in this study confirmed the possibilities of complementing the water absorption and compressive strength in product of recycled oyster shells. In addition, it was confirmed that the degree of absorption, compressive strength and flexural strength were influenced by the size of the oyster shell and the kind of the polymer hardener. As a result, the EVA-Acryl-Latex composite polymer developed in this study can maintain the compressive strength and absorption rate, which are physical properties, in order to recycle the oyster shell to the block, thereby increasing the recycling rate of the oyster shell and further reducing the cost and environmental problems.

This presentation collected and reviewed a survey of beauty consultants to study the professionalism of beauty consumers and the professionalism of consulting professionals. Based on the results, we examined and studied consumer awareness, awareness and expertise of beauty consultants, and satisfaction with counseling when purchasing cosmetics. According to the survey, consumers were highly aware of beauty consultants, but found that their satisfaction with cosmetics products was declining. Most customers needed professional and systematic counseling from beauty consultants when purchasing cosmetics. Therefore, it is urgently needed to develop a professional education system to secure the professional expertise of beauty consultants. In the future, beauty consultants are required to develop a comprehensive knowledge of skin, understand the efficacy and harmful ingredients of cosmetics, understand custom cosmetics, and improve the prescription of cosmetics according to consumers' skin types through accurate skin diagnosis.

This study analyzed the effect of female university students' level of awareness of cosmetics ingredients on purchasing behavior. A survey of 369 female university students attending universities in North and South Chungcheong provinces was conducted and a statistical analysis (SPSS) was conducted. Beauty majors showed a high level of interest in cosmetics ingredients and recognition related to the display of ingredients before cosmetics, while other academic majors were found to purchase them after comparing them over the Internet. The limitations of this study are limited to female university students from universities in North and South Chungcheong provinces, which makes it difficult to generalize the results of the study to all female university students. Therefore, in future studies, it is necessary to expand the scope of the study by gender, age and region.

Purpose: Ointment type products are mainly viscous, semi-solid and high viscosity products such as vaseline and lanolin. If there is a large physical resistance during use, or if the material is aggregated or separated, it will not only lower the quality satisfaction but also reduce the stability of the product's efficacy. In this study, we conducted a study to confirm whether rheological test analysis is valid as a performance index of ointment. Method: 3 kinds of ointment containing vaseline were treated with electron beam at 0, 10, 15, 20, and 30 kGy. The viscoelastic properties (G′, G″, η*) were analyzed at 24 °C. and 0.1 rad/sec to 10.0 rad/sec using an ARS Rheometer P-200 (diameter 50 mm Fixture, Gap 1.0 mm). The sensory evaluation of the skin was also carried out, and the correlation with the rheological test results was analyzed. Results & Discuss: As a result of the rheological test of each composition according to the electron beam treatment, the deviation of test result in the sample was high, and when the physical force was applied, the partial separation of the components perhaps appeared to show the difference in physical properties. Also, G′(elasticity) of sample A decreased to 66%, while sample B increased to 158% as irradiation dose increased. And sample C decreased gradually up to 30%. G′and G″of each composition showed a non-Newtonian pattern with a gradual increase with increasing frequency but a decrease in viscosity. Specifically, G′values were 11.9%, 55.8% and 43.8% for samples(A, B and C) at the frequency of 0.1 rad/sec, and 36.4%, 23.4% and 8.3% for the 10.0 rad/sec appear. Sensory evaluation of each composition on the 5-point scale showed that the composition of A was 3.0, B was 3.15, and C was the highest at 4.35. The rheological evaluation condition that best corresponds to this scale is G′(10.0). This means that people prefer low elasticity products when measured at high frequencies. Conclusions: The rheometric method, which is a rheological property measurement method, is considered to be a valid method to measure the homogeneity of composition and the influence of electron beam treatment. When ointments are applied to human skin, it will show shear-thinning behavior at body temperature. Therefore, it will be meaningful to evaluate the rheological test at 37 ℃ in the future.

This study was to investigate two things: the effect of facial lifting, and the effect of management of the craniofacial on the reduction of facial size by using silver tools in 20 middle-aged women in Gwangju City. The participants of the study were divided into two groups, 10 people had craniofacial management using silver tool, and 8 people had meridian massage. They took the experiments twice in a week for 30 minutes. The experiments took 5 weeks for 10 times of managements. The subjects measured their face before the experiment, using the 4D face scanner and contour lines, and after 1 time, 5 times and 10 times experiments, analyzed the facial changes again. After the experiments, participants conducted a survey for satisfaction. Experimental measurement ranges were distance, surface distance, volume, and total volume. This study compared the results of before and after experiment. The results of meridian massage group showed that there was statistical difference between before the massage to after first massage, fifth massage, and tenth massage(p <.05). However, there was no significant change when the massage was received less than 5 times, but more than 5 times, there was increased of the reduction width. In contrast, the craniofacial massage using a silver tool showed statistically significant difference in all experiments (p <.05), and the largest decrease was occurred before and after first time massage. It showed that having an effect even one time management. The total volume decreased 50.46 from 484.68 before the experiment (p <.05) to 434.22 after 10 treatments, and the value decreased steadily as the number of treatments increased. This study indicated that the craniofacial management using silver tool has the effect of reducing the facial size. It would be popularized not only for skin care shops but also for people who want manage anti-aging easily and quickly.

In modern society, beauty salons are a favorite place. Beauty service usually consists of guidance, counseling, cut, pump, color, treatment, shampoo and hair setting. And the beauty service experience is performed by both the provider and the user. Beauty service providers help users of beauty salons to make sure that they are not inconvenienced. A beauty salon user is a system where the desired design can be told and moved according to the provider's instructions, and goods that were last consulted can be paid. This study tries to find out the behavior of hair salon customers. Therefore, the preceding research is described in the theoretical background and considered based on it. The customer's position is to pay for the goods with branches and to use the appropriate convenience. Thinking about ideologies helps to think about the main age group and life cycle of customers who are service users. The store or designer loyalty is due to the confidence that it can always receive satisfactory service, and the person who can be inspected is considered to be an easy target for internal customers to check first rather than an external customer. Although it is a small commercial area, it is part of management that is done regardless of the size of beauty service facilities.
