커뮤니티맵핑 어플리케이션 개발과 활용이 초‧ 중생의 안전의식 고취에 끼치는 영향 KCI 등재

연구목적: 본 연구는 커뮤니티맵핑 어플리케이션을 통한 초‧중생 안전역량 제고를 위한 교육 프로그램 제안을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 연구를 위해 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 커뮤니티맵핑 어플리케이션을 개 발, 활용하여 초‧중생 약 425명이 참여한 후 설문조사를 통해 안전역량 변화를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 커뮤니티맵핑 활동을 통해 초‧중생의 실제 생활주변 위험요소를 도출할 수 있었고 활동 전‧후 설문조사 를 통해 참가자의 안전역량이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 결론: 본 연구에서는 참여형 맵핑 툴과 유사 한 기능을 포함하며 사용자의 편의성, 접근성, 확장성이 있는 커뮤니티맵핑 어플리케이션의 개발을 통 해 어린이 안전교육의 하나의 콘텐츠로 활용하여 등록된 정보를 활용하고 초‧중생의 안전역량 제고를 기대한다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose an educational program for enhance safety capability of elementary and middle school students through community mapping application. Method: Developed and utilized a community mapping application that can be easily used for research. After participating in 425 elementary and middle school students, This study analyzed the change of safety competency through survey. Results: Through the community mapping activities, it was possible to derive the actual life surrounding risk factors of the earthy life, and it was found through the questionnaire before and after the activity that the safety competence of the participants improved. Conclusion: Investigation of similar related cases of Public Participant Safety Mapping Tool and analysis of their functionalities are conducted, and user demanded functionalities with improved usability·accessability·expandability are derived. Also, the system applied the test to elementary and middle school students and the survey showed that the safety capacity was improved according to Safety Mapping activities. This is proposed as a safety education program.

빅데이터 시대를 맞아 다양한 도메인에서 수없이 많은 데이터들이 생산되면서 데이터 사이언스가 대중화 되었고, 데이터의 힘이 곧 경쟁력인 시대가 되었다. 특히 전 세계 데이터의 80% 이상을 차지하는 비정형 데이터에 대한 관심이 부각되고 있다. 소셜 미디어의 발전과 더불어 비정형 데이터의 대부분은 텍스트 데이터의 형태로 발생하고 있으며, 마케팅, 금융, 유통 등 다양한 분야에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 소셜 미디어를 활용한 텍스트 마이닝은 수치형 데이터를 활용한 데이터 마이닝 분야에 비해 접근이 어렵고 복잡해 기대에 비해 그 활용도가 높지 못한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 프로그래밍 언어나 고사양 하드웨어나 솔루션에 의존하지 않고, 쉽고 간편한 소셜 미디어 텍스트 마이닝을 위한 통합 애플리케이션으로 Korean Natural Language Application(KoALA)을 개발하고자 한다. KoALA는 소셜 미디어 텍스트 마이닝에 특화된 애플리케이션으로, 한글, 영문을 가리지 않고 분석 가능한 통합 애플리케이션이다. 데이터 수집에서 전처리, 분석, 그리고 시각화에 이르는 전 과정을 처리해준다. 본 논문에서는 디자인 사이언스(design science) 방법론을 활용해 KoALA 애플리케이션을 디자인, 구현, 적용하는 과정에 대해서 다룬다. 마지막으로 블록체인 비즈니스 관련 사례를 들어 KoALA의 실제 활용방안에 대해서 다룬다. 본 논문을 통해 소셜 미디어 텍스트 마이닝의 대중화와 다양한 도메인에서 텍스트 마이닝의 실무적, 학술적 활용을 기대해 본다.

In the Big Data era, data science has become popular with the production of numerous data in various domains, and the power of data has become a competitive power. There is a growing interest in unstructured data, which accounts for more than 80% of the world's data. Along with the everyday use of social media, most of the unstructured data is in the form of text data and plays an important role in various areas such as marketing, finance, and distribution. However, text mining using social media is difficult to access and difficult to use compared to data mining using numerical data. Thus, this study aims to develop Korean Natural Language Application (KoALA) as an integrated application for easy and handy social media text mining without relying on programming language or high-level hardware or solution. KoALA is a specialized application for social media text mining. It is an integrated application that can analyze both Korean and English. KoALA handles the entire process from data collection to preprocessing, analysis and visualization. This paper describes the process of designing, implementing, and applying KoALA applications using the design science methodology. Lastly, we will discuss practical use of KoALA through a block-chain business case. Through this paper, we hope to popularize social media text mining and utilize it for practical and academic use in various domains.

본 연구의 목적은 일반계고와 특성화고의 스마트 기기 활용 실태와 교육용 애플리케이션 개발에 대한 인식 수준을 비교․분석하여 보다 효과적인 조리교육 애플리케이션 개발 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 특성화고 학생이 일반고 학생보다 스마트 기기 활용 학습 방법을 더 선호하고, 하루 사용 시간이 더 많았다. 학습 분야는 일반고는 어학, 특성화고는 자격증에서 높게 나타났다. 스마트 기기 활용 학습의 장점은 자투리시간 활용이었고, 인프라를 가장 필요로 하였다. 가장 기대되는 콘텐츠는 일반고는 동영상 강의, 특성화고는 협력학습이었고, 가장 만족하는 것은 이동성이었다. 조리교육용 애플리케이션 개발에 대해 특성화고 학생이 더 많은 필요성을 느끼고 있었고, 더 많이 활용할 계획을 갖고 있었으며, 실습 동영상을 더 선호하였다. 희망 요리 영역은 일반고는 간편 요리, 특성화고는 조리기능사요리를 선호하였고, 애플리케이션은 포털 사이트와 학과 홈페이지에 탑재되기를 희망하였다. 그러므로, 조리교육용 애플리케이션 개발 시 실습 동영상과 조리 레시피가 포함된 시뮬레이션 학습 위주로 제작하고, 평가 기능을 추가하여 학업 성취 수준을 확인할 수 있도록 한다. 조리기능사 요리가 포함된 5분 이내의 콘텐츠가 될 수 있도록 제작하며, 각 차시별 과제 목표를 제시하고, 문제 해결을 위한 정보를 구체적으로 제공한다. 학습 몰입도를 높이기 위해 영상, 음악, 텍스트가 포함된 콘텐츠를 첨부한다. 수업의 시작과 전개, 정리의 흐름이 있도록 하며, SNS 협력학습 서비스를 활용하여 학습 주체간의 소통이 증진될 수 있도록 한다.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the utilization state of smart devices and the recognition level of educational application development of the general high school and the specialized high school. Specialized high school students preferred the utilization of smart devices more and daily spent on the devices more time than general high school students. As for the learning field, language for the general high school and the certificate of qualification for the specialized high school were shown high. The merit of smart device utilization is the use of spare time and its infrastructure was most required. The most expected content is a video lecture for the general high school and cooperative learning for the specialized high school and the most satisfied point was mobility. The specialized high school students feel more necessity about the application development for culinary education and had a plan to utilize it more and more preferred practice videos. As for the food development areas, the general high school students hoped simple food and the specialized high school students did cooking technician food and they both hoped the application to be uploaded in portal sites and the department homepage. The application development for culinary education is required to focus simulation learning including practice videos and cooking recipes and add an evaluation function to check the academic achievement levels. It is required to provide the subject goals of each course and concrete information on solving problems. Contents including video, music, texts need to be attached to improve learning immersion. There should be the beginning and development of a lesson and the flow of arrangement and communication between main bodies of learning should be improved by utilization of SNS cooperative learning services.

스마트 디바이스 기반 조리실습교육용 앱 개발 KCI 등재

본 연구의 목적은 정보통신 기술의 발달에 따른 교육환경 변화에 적응할 수 있는 스마트 디바이스 기반의 조리실습교육용 앱을 제작∙보급하는 것으로 2012년 7월 1일부터 12월 30일까지 진행되었고 App의 설계는 조리실습교육 내용 중 서양요리에 대한 이론 내용과 만드는 방법, 실습 동영상, 평가 문항으로 구성하였다. 또한 교수자와 학습자의 상호작용을 위해 공지사항과 관리자 문의 항목을 추가하였으며, 31가지 메뉴에 대한 메인요리사진 31개와 메뉴별 만드는 과정 사진 155개, 요리 레시피 31개, 요리 팁 31개, 평가 문항 372개, 요리 동영상 31개가 제작되었다. 제작된 콘텐츠는 사이트 http://kongju-fn.dslink.co.kr/super/index.html에 접속하여 직접 입력함으로써 App이 제작되도록 하였고, 이렇게 제작한 App을 ‘play store’에서 ‘요리박사’로 검색하면 찾을 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구는 조리실습교육용 App의 개발이 전무한 시점에 제작되었다는 데 그 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to produce and distribute a smart device based educational application for culinary practice. This study was performed from Jul. 1 to Dec. 30, 2012. The design of the application is composed of the theoretical contents, making methods, practice video and evaluation questions of Western cuisine among the contents of the culinary practice education. In addition, the notice and Q&A were added for the interaction between teachers and learners. For this study, 31 main dishes' pictures, 155 pictures for making processes by menu, 31 recipes, 31 cooking tips, 372 evaluation questions and 31 cooking videos about 31 menus were produced. The contents produced as above were directly inserted at 'http://kongju-fn.dslink.co.kr/super/index.html' to produce the application. This application can be found through searching with the word of 'yoribaksa'. This study can be considered to be significant in that this application was produced in the situation of the absence of any other previous applications for culinary practice education.

Development and Application of a Newly Designed Massage Instrument for Deep Cross-Friction Massage in Chronic Non-Specifi c Low Back Pain

Objective To introduce a newly designed massage instrument, the Hand Grip T-bar (HT-bar) and use it to relieve chronic non-specifi c low back pain (nLBP) through deep cross-friction massage (roptrotherapy). Method 22 subjects (9 males and 13 females, aged 51.6±6.7) with chronic nLBP were allocated randomly to a Roptrotherapy group (n=12) and a Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) group (n=10). The Roptrotherapy group received deep cross-friction massage with the HT-bar, which was made of metal and had a cylinder for increasing weight and grooves for an easy grip. It was applied across the middle and lower back for 20minutes a day, 3 days a week for 2 weeks. Th e TENS group received TENS for 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week for 2weeks. Th e outcome was measured on the pain numeric rating scale (PNRS), by the Oswestry disability index (ODI),and by the Roland & Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) at pre-treatment, at immediate post-treatment and 2 weeks later. Th e application of the HT-bar was assessed by a questionnaire to 19 therapists. Results At post-treatment, immediately and 2 weeks later, both groups showed signifi cant improvement in PNRS,ODI and RMDQ. During the two weeks after post-treatment, however, the Roptrotherapy group improved in PNRS,ODI and RMDQ, but the TENS group did not. Over 80% of the therapists responded that the HT-bar was useful and comfortable. Conclusion Th is study suggests that deep cross-friction massage can be a benefi cial therapeutic technique and that the HT-bar can be a useful instrument in deep cross-friction massage for chronic nLBP patients.

Optimizing the Regulation of Nursing in the Asian Context: Development and Application of a Legal Framework

Purpose: It is essential to regulate nursing to protect the population's health. As regulation constantly changes in response to societal trends, periodic reviews of nursing regulations become imperative. Therefore, we developed a legal framework by extracting essential elements for nursing regulation and explored its potential application. Methods: This study consisted of two parts. First, the legal framework for nursing regulation was developed through reviewing literature that mentions the content that can be included in nursing regulations, and through a content validity assessment by five experts. Second, this legal framework was applied to the nursing laws of China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan to confirm the suitability of the framework. Results: In the first part of the study, the legal framework for nursing regulation consists of seven categories (purpose, definitions, standards for practice, license acquisition and registration to practice, regulatory body, protection of the legal authority of nurses, offenses/penalties, and disciplinary procedures) and 17 items was developed. As a result of applying this framework to nursing laws in four countries, the average utilization rate for all 17 items was 68.4%. The matching scores between the framework and the law were over 60% for all four laws. Conclusion: Regulations, especially in the form of legislation, must be carefully considered because laws involve enforcement and potential penalties. This study is significant for identifying essential nursing regulation elements and offering a practical reference tool, expected to be widely utilized in future nursing policy and regulatory research.

Development of a mobile application focusing on developmental support care for Korean infants born prematurely: a methodological study

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate a mobile application focusing on developmental support care for infants born prematurely. Methods: An application was developed using the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation model. In the analysis phase, previous research was evaluated through big data text-mining and a literature review. In the design phase, the preliminary content of the application was designed, and the content validity and comprehension were verified. A hybrid application was developed and used by eight experts and ten users, who evaluated the layout of the mobile application and their satisfaction with it. Results: The content of the designed application comprised a diary, customized information, developmental play, and community. The mean scores for layout were 3.73±0.47 and 3.43±0.68 out of 4 points among the experts and users, respectively. Users’ mean satisfaction score was 3.70±0.70 out of 5 points. Conclusion: The information provided by the mobile application was evaluated as consistent and systematic. The application was also found to be satisfactory by infants’ parents. The mobile application developed through this study is expected to be effective in supporting the development of children born prematurely.

Concept Development of “Nursing Presence”: Application of Schwartz-Barcott and Kim’s Hybrid Model

Purpose: Although nursing presence is a foundation for professional nursing practice and has known positive outcomes such as patient satisfaction and recovery; it is not well known. The ambiguity surrounding how to define nursing presence has challenged its evaluation and education. Therefore, in an attempt to discover attributes of this underdeveloped concept and studying it in a new context, concept development is essential. The purpose of this study was to clarify the concept of nursing presence through concept development, to produce a tentative definition of this subjective concept in clinical practice. Methods: Concept development was carried out using Schwartz-Barcott and Kim's hybrid model including, theoretical, fieldwork and final analysis phases. First, 29 related articles available on the databases from 1990e2015 were reviewed and analyzed. Then, 22 interviews were conducted with 19 participants, followed with inductive content analysis. At last, an overall definition was performed. Results: Nursing presence can be explained as co-constructed interaction identified by deliberate focus, task-oriented/patient-oriented relationship, accountability, clarification, and ubiquitous participation. Nursing presence requires clinical competence, self-actualization, reciprocating openness, and conducive working environment. Worthwhile communications, balance/recovery, and growth and transcendence are the main consequences of this concept. Conclusion: Co-constructed interaction underscored the value of the nursing presence as an integral component of caring with humanistic and patient-centered approaches. The findings could help clinical nurses have a better understanding of the nursing presence. Findings also can improve educators' and managers' knowledge for developing and conducting appropriate education strategies and caring activities to facilitate the promotion of nursing presence.

Development of a Health Promotion Application on Cancer Survivorship as an Educational Content for Nursing Students

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a health promotion application for cancer survivorship (CS app) based on the adult learning and self-efficacy theories and evaluated its usability as an educational tool for nursing students. Methods: The CS app was developed according to ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) model. It consisted of interventions involving medication, diet, exercise, stress management, symptom management, and regular medical checkup for cancer survivors on three different levels in terms of difficulty and complexity. It was designed to teach nursing students how to provide tailored care to cancer survivors as well as help survivors with their repetitive and regular health management. The Mobile App Rating Scale and the user version of the Mobile App Rating Scale were used for a heuristic evaluation of the CS app by the experts and student users. Results: The CS app was developed based on literature reviews and cancer survivorship guidelines. It was evaluated by 20 student users and five experts based on a 5-point scale and obtained a score of 3.97 and 3.66, respectively. Nursing students rated the CS app positively, mentioning that they were able to “learn about appropriate nursing interventions for patients in various cases” and that they became interested in caring cancer survivors’ health using the CS app. Conclusions: The CS app is an effective and user-friendly educational tool to increase the motivation of nursing students in learning cancer survivorship care. This highlights the potential of CS app as a useful learning tool for nursing students.

Development and Effectiveness of a Mobile Application Based Health Management Program for Middle-Aged Men with Andropause: A Non-equivalent Control Group Pretest Posttest Study

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a health management program using a mobile application for middle-aged men experiencing andropause. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest structure was employed. The study took place from June 27 to August 30, 2024, with participant recruitment occurring from June 27 to July 10, 2024. In total, 61 participants (30 in the experimental group and 31 in the control group) participated from July 15 to August 20, 2024. The experimental group received an application-based health management program, while the control group did not. Results: The experimental group showed significant improvements in subjective quality of life, health-promoting behaviors, and subjective health status compared to the control group (p<.001). Conclusion: This study confirms that mobile applications can effectively manage health during andropause in middle-aged men. Further research with a larger sample size is recommended to validate these findings.

Development and Effects of a Mobile Application-based Self-Management Program for Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy in Colorectal Cancer Patients

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and examine the effects of a mobile application-based self-management program for Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN) in colorectal cancer patients. Methods: This study used a nonequivalent control group and a pretest-posttest design. Eighty-three patients with colorectal cancer undergoing neurotoxic chemotherapy were included in the study (experimental group, n=41; control group, n=42). The self-management program for CIPN consisted of an eight-week program (for individual training and telephonic coaching). CIPN 20, a CIPN assessment tool, and European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-C30 scale were used to assess CIPN, disturbance of activities of daily living, and quality of life, respectively. The study was conducted from December 7, 2018, to August 20, 2019. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, a test of homogeneity in the pretest, independent t-tests, and repeated-measures analysis of variance were used. Results: In the experimental group, significant improvements were found in CIPN (F=5.88, p=.018) and disturbance of activities of daily living (F=8.26, p=.005) compared to those in the control group. There was no significant difference in the interaction between the groups and time in terms of quality of life. Conclusion: Our results indicate that the mobile application-based self-management program used in this study is effective and could be used as a nursing intervention for cancer patients with CIPN.

In this study we investigate the advantage of using MVC Framework when building Mobile Application available on difference devices. In this study compares and contrasts two platforms, iOS and Android Devices, and discusses how to apply the MVC Framework in order to minimize the inherent differences between the platforms.

A Study on the Need for a Mobile Application Development Educational Program using an Authoring Tool KCI 등재

초중고교에서 스마트IT 기술에 대한 논리적 소프트웨어 교육의 수월성을 확보하기 위하여 저작도구를 사용하여 모바일앱 콘텐츠 제작을 수행하는 과정에 대한 정규 교육과정의 도입여부를 판단하는 연구를 진행하였다. 연구방법으로는 5차례에 걸쳐 전국에 분포된 특성화고등학교 교사를 대상으로, 3차례에 걸쳐 전국 초중등학교 교사와 일반고교 교사를 대상으로 교육을 실시하고 만족도 조사를 하였다. 만족이상이 평균하여 91.4%로 조사된바, 본 연구조사가 매우 적절한 것으로 판단된다. 결론적으로 초중고교에서 저작도구를 이용한 앱 개발 교육프로그램 도입은 필연적이라 할 수 있는 것으로 판단되어지며 국가기술자격 종목 신설에 대한 요구도도 높아지고 있다.

To ensure excellence in logical software education for smart IT technologies in schools, the study was conducted to determine whether a course on mobile application (app) content creation using an app authoring tool can be introduced as a part of the regular curriculum. As an approach method, five sessions of related training for characterized high school teachers as well as three sessions for elementary, middle and general high school teachers nationwide and a satisfaction survey were conducted for a total of five surveys. The average of 91.4% for more than moderately satisfied' is judged to reflect the perception of a highly successful study. In conclusion, the introduction of an app development education program using an authoring tool in schools is considered essential, and furthermore, the need for establishing new national technical qualifications is still rising.

학령인구 감소와 노동환경 변화로 한국 고등교육은 학과 감축을 동반한 구조개편을 가속화하고 있다. 본 연구는 학과 재편(신설·폐지·유지)의 양을 한 눈에 측정할 학과생존지수(DVI)지표를 개발하였다. 이값의 범위는 −1에서 1 사이(−1 ≤ DVI ≤ 1)로 표준화되었고 0은 폐지와 신설이 상쇄되어 순변화가 없는 상태, 양수는 신설과가 더 많은 상태이며 음수는 폐쇄가 더 많음을 보여준다. 이 지수를 활용하여 2021~2023년 국내 4년제 227개 대학의 전공학과 변동자료를 산출했다. 모든 대학의 평균 DVI는 −0.45로 전국적으로 순감축이 뚜렷했다. 비수도권은 수도권보다, 경쟁 대학 밀집 지역일수록 학과생존지수가 더 낮았고, 사립대는 국립대보다 낮아 충원·재정 압력이 큰 기관에서 개혁이 먼저 나타나는 ‘역확산’ 경향을 보였다. DVI는 대학·지역·계열 간 감축 수준을 비교·모니터링하는 공통 지표로 정책평가와 국제 비교 연구에 활용될 수 있다.

Background/Objectives: South Korea is accelerating higher-education downsizing amid demographic decline. This study develops a standardized measure to capture departmental restructuring and examines how patterns vary by context. Methods/Statistical analysis: We introduce the Department Viability Index (DVI) using national data from all 227 four-year universities (2021–2023). DVI ranges from −1 to 1 and summarizes net departmental change (establishments minus discontinuations) relative to total departmental activity. We compare DVI distributions across regions, institutional types, and academic disciplines. Findings: The mean DVI is −0.45, indicating substantial nationwide contraction in departmental units. Regional universities show lower DVI than metropolitan universities, especially where nearby competing institutions are concentrated. Private universities also exhibit lower DVI than national universities, consistent with stronger exposure to enrollment decline and financial pressure. Results align with a reverse-diffusion dynamic in which structural change begins in more vulnerable institutions under external constraints. Development and Application of a System Dynamics Model to Analyze Heatwave Impacts

The purpose of this study was to develop a system dynamics model to dynamically analyze the effects of heatwaves and apply it to real-world situations. For this purpose, first, the influencing factors of heatwaves were identified through previous studies. Second, a dynamic heatwave model was developed. Third, time series data from 2009 to 2018 were constructed, and the model was applied to Seoul. In this step, scenarios based on the budget were created, and the intensity of heatwaves resulting from changes in variables were measured. The results are as follows: First, the policy factors of heatwaves were classified into the cause and effect of the heatwave group, heatwave mitigation policy group, and heatwave adaptation group, forming a feedback structure. Second, it was observed that a 20% increase in budgets starting from 2040 led to temperature reductions of 1.57°C for the eco-friendly vehicle policy, 0.29°C for the high-efficiency air conditioners policy, 0.06°C for heatwave shelters, and 0.77°C for the creation of green space policy. Third, increasing the budget for heatwave shelters was found to be highly effective in reducing the number of people with heat-related illnesses.

This study was conducted to develop a forest education program through middle school curriculum linkage. We used the ADDIE model, comprising the five phases of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation, to secure the objectivity of the program. In the Analysis phase, middle school textbooks were analyzed while considering middle school students’ needs for curriculum linkage and the developmental stages of adolescents. The Design phase focused on promoting an understanding of curriculum subjects based on what was reviewed in the Analysis phase and concretized and organized a program that can be implemented in the forest, with a focus on science and physical education, based on the results of middle school students’ needs. We also established the objectives and goals of curriculum linkage forest education, established the concept of the program, and selected the educational contents, teaching-learning methods, and evaluation methods. In the Development phase, we developed a 2-night, 3-day program linkage with the middle school curriculum and created a manual for instructors and a workbook for students. In the Implementation phase, we revised and supplemented the program through the first test operation with 24 students in their second year of middle school, after which, we carried out a six-session program for the 2-night, 3-day as the second test operation with 17 students in their second year of middle school. In the Evaluation phase, the program was evaluated by the students who participated in the second test operation using questionnaires on satisfaction and curriculum linkage understanding as well as rating scales for attitudes toward forests and environmental sensitivity. The results showed that middle school students showed positive significance in satisfaction and understanding of the middle school curriculum as well as attitudes toward forests and environmental sensitivity through the forest education program.

The one-way gas valve developed in this study was designed to prevent the breakage of packages from increased internal pressure, which is a problem in packaged Kimchi, and simultaneously reduce the outflow of the offodor release. The effect of the one-way gas valve on the headspace atmospheric compositions was investigated in the packaging system. The changes of atmospheric compositions and quality factors of Kimchi, such as CO2 accumulation, pH, titratable acidity, and salinity, were measured during a 4-week storage period at 4oC. The Kimchi package with the one-way gas valve dramatically reduced pressure build-up in the pouch by allowing the controlled flow of gas to the atmosphere. In addition, the package design allows the possibility of controlling the gas generated from Kimchi by adjusting the viscosity of the open pressure control oil. The one-way gas valve did not affect the sensory characteristics of Kimchi products during the storage period. Furthermore, the deodorizing capability of the activated carbon contained in the one-way gas valve effectively reduced the off-odor of Kimchi products released along with carbon dioxide. The novel one-way gas valve is considered to be an active packaging system that can solve major problems of expansion and offodor leakage in the packaging of Kimchi.

곤충형 로봇을 기반으로 개발한 로봇 교육과정을 학생들에게 적용한 결과 학생들이 로봇 움직임을 쉽게 이해하고 프로그래밍 및 알고리즘을 이해하는데 큰 효과가 있었다. 초등학교 5학년 학생들을 대상으로 마인드스톰 NXT 로봇교구로 진행한 로봇학습은 개미나 바퀴벌레 등 곤충을 관찰한 후 그룹별로 곤충의 모양을 따 로봇을 만들고 곤충의 움직임을 모방하여 프로그래밍을 하도록 하였다. 특히 그룹별 임무 수행 경기의 경쟁을 함으로써 학생들 간의 토의 능력 및 로봇 제작, 프로그래밍에 대한 흥미도를 높일 수 있었다.

Robot Curriculum based education in Insects Robot help elementary school students better understand how a robot works. This robot curriculum is aimed at elementary school students in fifth grade. This study progressed with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT, departed 6 groups, reached the insect’s movement, designed robot like insects. This curriculum enhanced discussion prowess and improved the ability of building robot. During this study, most of the students were attracted to the action of the robot-like insect’s movement.
