With the advent of the era of self-driving cars with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Cooperative Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS) infrastructure is being built on the roadside, and the C-V2X communication field is a key area in building the C-ITS infrastructure. In addition, related infrastructure is being built in many countries, including the United States, Europe, and Asia. Korea is also conducting C-ITS infrastructure construction and testing led by the Korea Expressway Corporation. However, the reality is that there is no appropriate way to mesure and verify the performance of C-V2X products that play a key role in building C-ITS infrastructure. Therefore, in this paper, we would like to introduce equipment that can measure and verify the performance of C-V2X equipment installed in the actual site.

This text describes the evaluation method for Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) On-Board Unit (OBU) products to obtain Omniair certification, an international certificiation organization. The evaluation method mainly includes physical layer tests, protocol tests, and actual vehicle driving tests for wireless communication. For this evaluation method, the test environment, test procedures, and test results are described for the Certification Operating Council (COC) test standard specified by Omniair.
