In the early stages of the design of the building designers face many constraints elements. Especially, the need for energy-saving building plan is a very stressed. According to, research on the design variable of energy-saving trick for designers will be a very meaningful. This research changed a form and direction and shading coefficient of the building. Therefore grasping the impact of the building thermal load and making basic data of the design variable for reduce the load is for the purpose of this study.

Recently, developing and applying of the double skin, which can utilize the natural energy with more aggressive characteristic, is now in study. The studies of the double skin are been constantly in progress in advanced countries as well as in domestic. And the double skin has lately been put to practical use. This study has selected the building with the box-typed double skin system and performed the thermal performance prediction of double skin system using TRNSYS. The U-value of the double skin system has been calculated. And this one has compared the measured U-value with the simulated U-value of double skin system. The results of comparison between experiment and the simulation were similar. So a prediction method on thermal performance of the box-typed double skin using TRNSYS simulation has secured a feasibility.

In this study, the certified green building is chosen to evaluate the economic viability of the items which focused on the water resources. First, initial investment costs are evaluated by the value of annual equivalent costs and second, annual saving costs of water resource are calculated and finally the economic analysis with benefit-cost analysis is performed.

The purpose of this study was to control inflow rate and surcharging of conduit and rainfall storage on a site using SWMM program. Rainfall storage location and storage volume can be decided by SWMM program. The maximum hours surcharged of junction is 3.13 hour without rainfall storage but is 2.07 hour with rainfall storage. The inflow rate of conduit 2.39㎥/s on C3 without rainfall storage while inflow rate of C3 with rainfall storage is 0.99㎥/s.

The enhancing of Thermal comfort(TC) was a physical issue of the student performance in the classroom. In generally, the HVAC system was not operated for the university classroom during spring season in the temperate region. However, there often was occured uncomfortable TC in the university classroom because recently there was high daily temperature range that effected the Climate Change. Therefore, it is a necessary work and research that enhancing of TC in the classroom at the midseason(spring). But, there was insufficiency data for the TC of near the university student body. This study aim is to enhancing data for improvement of TC in the university classroom through the observation on characteristic of TC of university student during spring season through diaries of skin temperature and ambient temperature and humidity. In conclusion, sometimes midseason(spring) was also necessary HVAC caused by the results what subject's skin temperature and thermal sensation scale get to be large range by the Climate Change, individual activity and over cooling. Therefore, research about HVAC for midseason(spring) was necessary.

Analyze thermal energy performance and environments application of soil construction material and observe that's possibility, trouble and finding solution. As a result of comparing case 1, cement brick and concrete, case 2, high-strength mud-brick, soil-plaster and pour, and case 3, mud-brick which made by traditional method and soil-plaster and pour. The room temperature, cooling and heating load was similar. To apply a soil-rammed wall to a modern architecture, it requires a reducing of heating load, and needed at least 30mm of insulation or effective insulation construction.

The forecasted energy shortage tends to encourage to develop the next generation energy to countermove the energy problems and the climatic change all over the world. In Korea, it will be embodied the society of the low-energy consumption to plan the energy efficient plan for twenty years. To accomplish the goal, the society needs the new integrated systems in urban level. Blinds are used with windows to improve the uniformity ratio of illuminance and interior daylighting distribution under direct sunlit conditions. The main objective of blinds shading system is to obstruct direct sunlight and at the same time allow daylight to penetrate into the room. Blinds would have greater effect on the interior daylighting condition under clear sky which has both skylight and sunlight than overcast sky which has only skylight. A purpose of this study lets slat angle changed according to sun altitude using blind in two lecture rooms which have the different direction of the window, and analyzes an influence on a feature of light environment indoor according to a sunshade performance of blind.

Recently energy supply system in urban areas of Korea has caused some critical troubles. A counterplan of solution to this problem is the Urban Integrated Energy System Supply Model. It is the technology to forecast and to supply the amount of energy at the city planing step and management step. Connection technologies of the Urban Integrated Energy System and the conventional system are appled to complex technologies: an algorithm of UCSS(Urban Climate Simulation System) professional system, the Urban Integrated Energy System determination algorithm of E-GIS based city , an energy modeling technology, optimal UIES location decision model and U-based Mesh Networking.

To present the basic data of daylighting and improve the environment of parking area of apartments, the underground parking lot with daylighting window of apartments under construction is designated to introduce daylighting from the ground to the underground. This model above is built into miniature to evaluate the performance of daylighting. The results using the experiment of miniature of daylighting of the apartment parking lot are as followed. For the first basement, the lighting distribution of parking area(S1, S2) with windows, the report shows, meets the lighting standards while driving area(S3) don't meet the standards. For the second basement, neither above meets those standards.

The importance for energy consumptions has being emphasized because of problems of the energy and environment. Especially, education buildings among public buildings which have being emphasized the application of environment-friendly elements because of large energy consumptions. Accordingly, this study established parameters of green walls and green roofs which have ecological effects and energy savings. And then this study analyzed indoor thermal environments and energy consumptions due to green walls and green roofs through the energy simulation(Visual DOE 4.0) and the actual measurement.

The purpose of this research is to study on the feasibility of utilizing mixed-use cooling system that combined floor radiation cooling and forced convection cooling in apartment, to examine the characteristics of thermal environment in living room that uses this cooling system, and to review the possibility of utilizing midnight electric power based on time-lag cooling effect of thermal storage in the mass of floor slab. And also this research aims to create thermal comfort environment and to establish the basic data for the development and designing of mixed-use cooling system with high efficiency and low cost.

Nowadays apartments in korea should be concerned about air change rate 0.7/h and installing sprinkler system according to a building equipment standard and the Fire Service Law at same time. To use this ceiling plenum ventilation system in a dwelling as part of a residential and commercial complex have to choose the pipe diameter of the air supplying outlet and branch duct as 150mm and CAV(constant air volume single duct system) or a mixed supply system. If the ceiling height is low or it is used in a public apartment supply duct next to the total heat exchanger and each room increases effective area of the air supplying outlet. Then the mixed supply system should be used.

Construction of housing high-rise apartment housing buildings within in the city area has been increasing steadily. The architectural law in force that defines the ground floor should be the evacuation floor, so making evacuation route became more longer and bring out a bottle-neck phenomena during fires. It promotes evacuation time more and more longer. And the closed construction system of these type of buildings causes a draft effect and chimney effect, which prevents initial fire fighting. The potential weaknesses and dangers lurking in the high-rise buildings during fires have to be considered when planning the safe-evacuation procedures for its inhabitants. So in this study, evacuation simulation and mock-evacuation have been carried out for the high-rise apartment hosing building. Using these two evacuation experiments in the high-rise apartment housing building, comparisons were made considering evacuation time.

Recently, Indoor Air Quality is a matter of concern and demands by residents. When build the new construction it use paint, building material, glude and more. They emit harmful chemicals. And IAQ go from bad to worse because of the hight airtightness and insulation of the building for energy-saving. Especially, a outbreak of Sick House Syndrome(SHS) increases by harmful chemicals, like Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs) and Formaldehyde(HCHO), from the interior materials of a house. Lately, modern people spend more than 80% of their time at indoor space. Particularly, university students spend many time in the school. Above all, student stay long in dormitory for sleep. Therefore dormitory's IAQ is most important. So this study measured the level of the in door contamination according to the year of completion and show a measure for a comfortable indoor air quality.

Until about 100 years ago, the heating, cooling, and lighting of buildings was the domain of architecture. Thermal comfort and lighting were achieved with the design of building and a few appliances. Heating was achieved by a compact design, cooling by opening windows to the wind and shading them from the sun, and lighting by windows. Especially, daylighting was essential factor to live humanbeings in the room. Sometimes the architect must accept the light as it is and design the form in response to it. Contemporary architecture, environmental issues have risen up, people start to focus on the development-preservation balance. They tried to build a new model, which reflect the natural cycle and the interaction of eco-system. After the Rio environmental council, 1992, this movement was accelerated and expanded to energy consumption issues. The correlation between architect and environment, also, picked up speed. In this paper, we suggest application techniques to be used as basic data for the decision of appropriate daylighting control system in designing single building.

Thermal conductivity is important to cooling/heating load calculation. Related load calculations and energy consumption rates, there are many results of thermal conductivity. So we need a survey of material conductivity in this study. The purpose of this study is to analyzing thermal conductivity by existing material data book. The major results are as follow. 1) The range of aluminum alloy is 199.864∼0244.02(W/m*K). 2) The range of marble is 1.2782∼3.3698(W/m*K). 3) The range of Mortar is 1.0807∼1.743(W/m*K).

The temperature of PV modules integrated into building surface will rise as it is more difficult to expel the heat from PV module compared to stand alone installation in open structure. The PV module temperature takes an effect on the performance of the PV system: the high temperature will decrease the electricity generation of PV system. The hot air extracted from the space between PV modules and the building envelope can be used as a heat source in buildings. The release of hot air from this space will enhance the performance of the BIPV system as it lowers the temperature of the PV modules. The type of solar collector that utilizes these aspects is known as a PVT (photovoltaic/thermal) solar collector that combines PV modules and solar thermal air collectors. It is important to raise the air temperature from the PVT air collector that is related to lowering the PV module temperature. This paper compares the experimental performance of three different types of air-type PVT collectors that can be integrated into a roof structure. The base model with a 10cm gap of air space for forced ventilation and two other models with aluminum fins and copper fins, respectively, attached to a PV module to enhance the thermal performance of the collector. The experimental results showed that the use of fins improved PV's electrical efficiency which was 8~15% higher compared to that of the base model. Also, the thermal efficiency of the improved models was 23~53% higher compared to that of the base model. It is claimed that the improved PVT models with metal fins attached yield higher thermal and electrical efficiency than the base model, with better performance by enhancing heat transfer.

The purpose of this study was to search the origin of mountainous district city according to the context and to plan the stepped city of itself compared with urban center. Contextualism theory was used with the detail words-text, texture quality and context- which were defined by Pepper in 『World Hypotheses: A Study in Evidence』, 1970. The urban center and mountainous district city, the existence itself is different between straight land and city beyond mountain because character of city from land is changing. At the point of time to view mountainous district city as a nameless background, lots of matters must be settled without delay for instance, infra. The study site was located in Bosudong, JungGu, Busan. The results of this study were as follows; the various types of connecting steps have homo-text, hetero-textures and homo-quality in one context.

The purpose of this plan is to make a barrier-free housing for Young-ju dong where is a typical steep area in Busan. This barrier-free housing plan consider the space in physical aspect also psychological aspect. We need a concept for plan to embody psychological barrier-free. The concept is "Encounter with the others" from Levinas philosophy. The encounter is process of understanding each other. And I refer to Lee Ufan's keyword "blank" is space for encounter in his work. This two keywords was applied to make a barrier-free housing for the disabled.

After the Korean war, the number of refugees are increased in Busan. They settled in slope sites and built poor houses. Unplaned houses and streets covered the mountain. The streets between crowded houses became mutual spaces for residents and it also was a trace of their lives. For that reason, the hills have been used as the site for housing recently in Busan. But, in spite of many differences between the hill and the level ground in some respect, one apply to the same thought that we have in the level ground. Therefore, there are many problems in the hill housing of our city. This study aimed at suggestion of desirable design orientation of the hill housing with the trace by applying J'Derrida's theory. I will follow the traces of the hill housing with adapting to existing topography and preserving sociality of alley which has inhabitant's marks.

In Busan government, there is a plan to redevelop the old and decrepit area, Jwacheon-dong. This paper propose the way to make urban regeneration through the plan. This plan has to be thought not only new residents but also existing people. The people are regarded 'Others'. ‘Others' was mentioned by Michel Foucault. And he mentioned space of others, Heterotopias. Heterotopias are spaces that is defined by heterogeneous thought. By this law of thought, redevelop design can take existing people into consideration. The design is completed after apply principle of heterotopias to architectural factor. By this works the area ,which was left out in the cold, can be regenerate.

The purpose of this study is to transform the road, which is located the center of the site and has just used as the parking lot, to the place to gather people as well as residents. Moreover, the concept is based on the ecology and consists of the five factors-unity, dynamic balance, complementarity, substantiality, and fitness. The site does not have any public or community facilities even though it is full of residence houses except the narrow path. Therefore, by this ecological paradigm, the place gives people a more ideal environment and chances to make relationships between them. The ultimate purpose of this plan is to get the relation between human beings and nature.

Recently, 'City generation' is causing great concern in the architecture field. Because the existing context hasn't been considered by the way of indiscriminate development. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest the plan of Busan film village using various traces left behind. To reorganize and connect traces, I intends to introduce montage theory in architecture space. Montage theory has developed by Kuleshov, Pudovkin and Eisenstein from 1920 to 1940. Intellectual montage by Eisenstein is the highest dimensional theory among those. Eisenstein' theory is collision that stimulates people to think what happens between two different images. This study offers the way of architecture space organization based on intellectual montage with the movie syntax. These processes would be applied to design a plan of urban development in the future.

The purpose of this study is to wield user's authority and to be close to the architecture that people really want as well as making the range of user's action. Modernization made many changes and provided a base to develop in various respects. However, modern logic such as economic logic and functionalism and totalitarianism makes the subject and the governing discussion. This discussion makes the otherness. Finally Modernization menaces our identity by ohterlization. So tourist on post-modern tourism recover own reality. And Dong-gwang dong recover its identity on Regeneration of a Dwelling site for Tourism. Then, in this study, by a scheme to recover ortherness of the architecture, we examine about regeneration. And, we use 'hybrid' and 'mimicry' concept of the post-colonialism. Then, the architecture recover the ortherness and has new possibility to coexist and continue naturally past and present.
