Jeju people wanted to share the beautiful environment of Jeju with all of the people who visit Jeju and so they made the Jeju Olle trails as an alternative method of moving around the island. The trails also gave a new perspective of the damage to nature caused by other forms of development. A lot of Olle trails pass through villages and they have both a direct and an indirect influence on the village and its residents, but the village itself is not connected to the income it generates and the town is not promoted. These problems have been recently pointed out. The focus of this study is to propose a way that the villages and villagers can coexist with the Olle trails and uses a survey to assess the attitude of the villagers toward the Olle trails.

Due to the improvement of living standards, the development of science and the medicine technology, the average life expectancy in modern society is increasing. The baby boomers are differ from previously dependent and unlike the elderly. They had a high level of education and economic improvement, so they form the new culture of their own Active Life Style. Accordingly, their requirements are very diverse so they need the emotional culture space to satisfy their requirements. This is located in the city so easy to communicate with other generations. In this study, propose housing-culture complex facility that appropriate to Active Seniors and use disjunction to seek a solution of the problem of intergenerational exchanges.

In the past, Wetland has been thought that are 'waste land' even if this area has high creativity. people have developed wetland and especially, these days, wetland was too destroyed by garbage reclamation business. So ecosystem of wetland are declined. Han River Estuary is nearby Seoul there are pressed to develop. But it has Wetland which keep state of nature. So it has value of conservation as habit of wild animals. But wetland conservation is not kept by designation as wetland conservation area. In conclusion, in order to save wetland conservation, It is necessary for us to keep wetland and to use it within bounds that we shouldn't destroy or develop it thoughtless.

The protection of historic district and city organization is the most important task for preserving historic cities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Urban Squares elements for local community vitalization. Due to rapid industrialization and urbanization, new social and communication problems have been caused. There were lots of discussion about it. As a result, There has been increased interest for public space. Urban Squares as a public space plays an important role. The Urban Squares are existed to accommodate the variety behavior and induce people to participate in the social community as public space in urban. Therefore, the physical environment of the device and to enable the community of the community to express a regional identity as a public space of the town square of social communities to encourage more active changes are needed.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the allocation characteristics of railroad station according to the location and types of station. We surveyed 104 railroad station and analyzed the drawings in the viewpoint of user’s and employee’s behaviors. The results are as follows ; First, the types of railroad station are changes from ground type to upper-, lower- and under railroad station. Second, the main space, concourse is located in the center of the railroad station and employee’ s office and convenience facilities for user’s are located around the concourse and public walkways. Third, the amenities of station employee such as moving train’s noises, vibrations, and air ventilations should be considered in lower- and under railroad station.

The purpose of this study is to verify the using characteristics of railroad station according to the types of station. We surveyed questionnaire for user’s and employee’s responses in railroad stations. The results are as follows ; First, the users preferred upper-railroad station type rather than ground-, lower- and under railroad station type, and the concourse and the convenient store are the main variables for user’s satisfaction. Second, the employees preferred ground-, lower-railroad station type rather than upper-and under railroad station type, and the concourse and ticketing booth are the main variables for employee’s satisfaction. The results reflects the user’s and employee’s viewpoint on the railroad station.

This study is the basic research for analysis of the green building items in the exsisting university and the most efficient and resonable improvement. For this research, green university item was deducted from reference papers and surveyed from the students in the universities.

Each brand coffee shops have the same space design. Four brand coffee shops what have higher proportion of the amount of sales and awareness were chosen in this study. The study was conducted by limiting in the region of Cheongju. Each element of space design was classified in pursuance of the regular standard and put user research into practice. First user research was made investigation into general opinion of brand coffee shops, and second user research was made a thorough investigation into preferred space design of each brand. Space design’s elements of brand coffee shop is proposed by result of two research.

The conclusions that follow were derived from a study on plans for the stability of buildings in Jeju against typhoon. Since the wind speed of the recent typhoons has increased in Jeju area, values of the basic design wind speed and other important parameters are to be re-evaluated for the calculation of wind loads of buildings. Especially the assessment of wind loads for important buildings is required to minimize damages of buildings and structures by typhoons. Review of the wind loads of buildings is necessary because major structures are damaged due to destruction of subsidiary facilities and exterior finish material. Wind loads of all structures should be thoroughly examined and reflected in their design.

The purpose of this study was to develop design strategies for recycled glass block by means of parametric design tools. Currently the construction method for recycled glass block is limited. First of all, the pattern shape with several colors can be obtained with parametric tools for the pedestrian paving, current main market, and the installation process can be improved with it as well. Secondly, the dry construction method could be adopted for enhancing sustainable features of reuse after the construction. Projection type with steel joint and two hole block type with steel pipe is analyzed for the proper method to make diverse design types. The block design pattern can be diversified with help of parametric design process of dividing surface, rearrangement of block grid for each construction method, and allotment of units into surfaces.

Under the situation of international energy crisis and global environmental degradation, as a developing country with rapid growing economy, the residential energy consumption also keeps growing. Cold area is the area with developed economy and large populations, the energy consumption of heating in winter and cooling in summer is very serious. Due to the features of low technology, low price, and integrate with building easily, passive design becomes a feasible strategy to reduce the consumption. Thus, the research on passive design in cold region is very important both theoretically and practically.

In these days, our society gets Intensified with the flow of people moving from the country into the cities continuosly. And by the activity of the entry of women in public affairs, the birthrate gets decreasing, which causes a phenomenon that more and more schools decrease in students and close grows up. On the other hand, unlikely other country, Korean's graying is increasing rapidly. Therefore demand and the number of the elderly care facilities grows high now and for ever. Finally, this thesis suggests plan on using closing down a school as an residentail space organizaion of the elderly care facilities and solving the deficiency of place for graying at the same time.

Recently constructed several floating buildings, in Korea, provoked the discussion about the activation of floating architecture. But, there is no guideline for the planning of floating architecture in Korea. This study aims to propose the key points of planning the superstructure of floating architecture. Based on the analysis of foreign cases, this study proposed the general planning guidelines for the superstructure of floating architecture. And then this study analyses the relationship between the livability of pontoon and the superstructure, and the adaption of modular system on superstructure, as the unique characteristics of floating architecture.

The purpose of this study is guest house which concept is Korean traditional culture. These days Korea is getting attention for travel, but guest house current status is not enough to get traveler. this study consist five parts. In the first part is why Korean traditional culture guest house and range. Second, theoretical investigation on space of Korea. In the third part is accommodation space for theoretical consideration. Fourth part is design proposal. Finally, I suggest conclusion.

This study was to analyze the development process of Haeundae Marine City which is center of High-rise residential building in Busan and was constructed in reclaimed land. With this it considers a sequential process of district unit plan on four step constructed High-rise residential complex in commercial facilities. And then it discovers the fact that the layout and plan of apartment was influenced by outlook over the sea. It has significance to understand influence factors of layout and plan appeared by changing of prospect right in a development process. This study will help the design of layout and plan for a prospect of outside on development of apartment complex.

This study shows how BIM can improve the construction quality through developing area calculation methods. For the efficient management vast amount of information in the construction field ranging from the architectural design to the building maintenance public and private organizations, as well as the academia around the globe started to employ BIM. Especially, it is urgently needed to set up guidelines such as area calculation standards in order to follow up with the global trend and thereby improving the construction quality. Therefore, this research establishes methods and standards for BIM- based area calculation, by examining BIM-based and non BIM-based drawings in architecture office.

he purpose of this research is to propose a Korean energy simulation parameter for energy simulation. Recently, energy simulation using BIM data comes into the spot light as alternatives for the realization of green building worldwidely and the related research has been actively performed in Korea. This paper, therefore, will understand the actual problem through analyzing the difference of ASHRAE standards’ criteria input result, suggesting Korean energy simulation parameter and verifying it with energy simulation.

A purpose of this paper is to design modern temple through adapting the processional space of the traditional temple. Processional space is one of the very important element when describing the traditional temples. But today's modern temples have been omitted or reduced in this processional space, fail to correctly establish the relationship of the traditional temple and modern. Therefore, This paper is able to experience of the spatial sequence by reconfiguring processional space through the director of visual changes and variety of spaces in the urban context.

However, Megastructure that appeared in the times of Korean modernization, deviated from that theory and was used to have a bad influence on Urban network. The purpose of this paper is to present strategies that is Three-dimensional organizing of Urban public space against such phenomenon of the above. This strategies are going to solve the problem with organic unification of megastructure and urban public space.

Recently, the Non-liner design has turned the Architecture development into a new age . Such a complex building design and implementation process is very different form the original building design process. It is quite complicated to figure out the Non-liner Architecture skin design method. So to understand the skin structure system and desing process is very important. This thesis is maintain focus on analysising design and implementation methods, and software. After the case study is finished by using the digital software to finish the nonlinear Museum of Fine Arts building skin design.

This paper aims to propose design strategies for remodeling of deteriorated researcher apartment by addition and partial elimination. Apartment renovation could improve physical environment of deteriorated housing and add functions that are needed by the residents. But, It is rare that remodeling was applied in the country. This study presents a possible alternative in the existing conditions. 1st, character of this residential site is to preserve land form and to connect node point and to expanse complex density. 2nd, character of housing block is to provide new resident space in rooftop space, service core and new urban sky line. 3rd, character of dwelling Unit is to provide housing type that reflects urban lifestyle of intelligent researcher.
