For the sustainable development, companies are making a lot of efforts such as activities of sales increase and cost reduction. Among these, efforts to use limited resources efficiently and effectively is still being made steadily. And many methods for management innovation are being introduced and used. However there were partial or temporary effects only. So there are not enough to achieve operations performance to cover the entire system. Therefore, in order to maximize performance or to improve sustainability across the companies, it is necessary to rebuild the existing system with process perspective not with existing functional perspective. This study was performed to achieve the objective that is operation performance improvement of certification body. So literature review was researched and analyed about the process innovation and the process approach. And basic model which is compatible with ISO/IEC 17021 requirement for the certification body was established in this study. Based on this model, one of the certification body was selected and operation system for this organization was established, documented and implemented through the process approach method. In the result, operations performance of certification body on the side of efficiency and effectiveness is analyzed and the effect of reconstruction of system on operations performance was figured out

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify effects of the variables of Health Action Process Approach (HAPA) Model on physical activity. Methods: This study has conducted a systematic literature review and meta-analysis. Sixteen articles were searched through electronic databases (PsycINFO, PubMed, CINAHL, Web of science, Science Direct, RISS, KMBASE, KoreaMed, KISS, DBpia) and additional journals from 2000 to July, 2017. To estimate the effect size (ES), the meta-analysis of the studies was performed by using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis programs. Results: The overall effect size of the variables of HAPA on physical activity was median (ES=.28). Of the core variables of HAPA model, action control (ES=.43) showed the largest effect size, followed by coping self-efficacy (ES=.31) and planning (ES=.31).Additional variables were identified as preparatory behavior (ES=.39) and past physical activity (ES=.24). Through the moderator effect analysis, the effect size was higher in the volitional phase than in the motivational phase, and higher in the healthy group than in the patient group. The higher the proportion of males and the lower the age, the larger the effect size. Conclusion: This finding shows empirical evidence that all core variables of the HAPA model are useful for predicting physical activity. We propose the use of the HAPA model to develop physical activity promotion intervention.

Purpose: Professional hemodialysis (HD) nursing tends to be task-oriented and lack consideration of the client's viewpoint. This study aims to interpret the process of psychosocial adaptation to dealing with HD in people with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Methods: A grounded theory guided this study. Theoretical sampling included 15 people receiving HD at the HD center of a hospital from July to November 2010. Participants received an information sheet in writing, a verbal invitation, and informed consent forms before interviews were conducted. A constantcomparative data analysis was analyzed using open, axial and selective coding. The computer software ATLAS.ti assisted data management. Credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability ensured the rigor of study process. Results: This study identified “adopting life with hemodialysis”, which captures the process of the psychosocial adaptation in people with ESRD as one transformation. Four categories that evolved from “adopting HD life” are (a) slipping into, (b) restricted to a renal world, (c) losing self control, and (d) stuckin an endless process. Conclusions: The findings of this investigation indicate the multidimensional requirements of people receiving maintenance dialysis, with an emphasis on the deficiency in psychosocial and emotional care. The study's findings contribute to clinical practice by increasing the understanding of the experience ofchronic HD treatment from the recipient's viewpoint. The better our understanding, the better the care provided will meet the needs of the people receiving HD.

This paper aims to investigate the effectiveness of the process-genre approach on EFL learners’ writing improvement. A total of 48 Chinese college freshmen students participated in this study, and they were divided into high-level (n=20) and low-level (n=28) groups. All the participants were instructed by the same teacher in the College English class for 14 weeks, during which they were taught how to compose in three writing genres: narration, exposition, and argumentation. After comparing the writing scores of pre- and post-tests from both groups, it can be concluded that the processgenre approach is helpful in enhancing the EFL learners’ writing competence because both groups of students had significantly improved their writing abilities. Besides, both group learners attained a salient achievement in expository writing after they were trained by the process-genre approach. Compared with the high-level learners, the low-level learners made larger progress in all three writing genres. It indicates that enough teaching time and teacher’s scaffolding systems are crucial for the learners’ writing development.

This article aims to investigate the effects of the types of teacher feedback and students’ perceptions when responding to them. Particularly, this study was attempted to explore how two different levels of six student-writers—an elementary and a low-intermediate level—respond to teacher comments in order to improve their drafts in a process-oriented approach. Data was collected through the 18 students’ drafts—a first draft and two revisions, individual interviews, and open-ended questionnaires. The teacher feedback was categorized and its paired students’ revisions were rated. The results show that all students, irrespective of proficiency levels, perceived that positive feedback plays a distinct and essential role that aids students’ motivation and willingness to accept criticism in teacher feedback and to continue working with it, although they noted they were also aware of the usefulness of negative feedback. Interestingly, the elementary level students were able to respond to feedback similar to that of their more proficient counterparts in their second revisions after gaining experience with feedback from the first round of teacher feedback. The data also demonstrated that most students placed more importance on receiving content-based rather than error-based feedback in order to develop their drafts in spite of their linguistic limitations. This study has significant implications for a writing classroom and teacher feedback practices.

Many firms in Korea have adopted and used advanced information technology in an effort to boost efficiency. The process of adapting to the new technology, at the same time, can vary from one firm to another. As such, this research focuses on several relevant factors, especially the roles of social interaction as a key variable that influences the technology adaptation process and the outcomes. Thus far, how a firm goes through the adaptation process to the new technology has not been yet fully explored. Previous studies on changes undergone by a firm or an organization due to information technology have been pursued from various theoretical points of views, evolved from technological and institutional views to an integrated social technology views. The technology adaptation process has been understood to be something that evolves over time and has been regarded as cycles between misalignments and align-ments, gradually approaching the stable aligned state. The adaptation process of the new technology was defined as “appropriation” process according to Poole and DeSanctis [1994]. They suggested that this process is not automatically determined by the technology design itself. Rather, people actively select how technology structures should be used; accordingly, adoption practices vary. But concepts of the appropriation process in these studies are not accurate while suggested propositions are not clear enough to apply in practice. Furthermore, these studies do not substantially suggest which factors are changed during the appropriation process and what should be done to bring about effective outcomes. Therefore, research objectives of this study lie in finding causes for the difference in ways in which advanced information technology has been used and adopted among organizations. The study also aims to explore how a firm’s interaction with social as well as technological factors affects differently in resulting organizational changes. Detail objectives of this study are as follows. First, this paper primarily focuses on the appropriation process of advanced information technology in the long run, and we look into reasons for the diverse types of the usage. Second, this study is to categorize each phases in the appropriation process and make clear what changes occur and how they are evolved during each phase. Third, this study is to suggest the guidelines to determine which strategies are needed in an individual, group and organizational level. For this, a sub-stantially grounded theory that can be applied to organizational practice has been developed from a longi-tudinal comparative case study. For these objectives, the technology appropriation process was explored based on Structuration Theory by Giddens [1984], Orlikoski and Robey [1991] and Adaptive Structuration Theory by Poole and DeSanctis [1994], which are examples of social technology views on organizational change by technology. Data have been obtained from interviews, observations of medical treatment task, and questionnaires administered to group members who use the technology. Data coding was executed in three steps following the grounded theory approach. First of all, concepts and categories were developed from interviews and observation data in open coding. Next, in axial coding, we related categories to subcategorize along the lines of their properties and dimensions through the paradigm model. Finally, the grounded theory about the appropriation process was developed through the conditional/consequential matrix in selective coding. In this study eight hypotheses about the adaptation process have been clearly articulated. Also, we found that the appropriation process involves through three phases, namely, “direct appropriation,” “cooperate with related structures,” and “interpret and make judgments.” The higher phases of appropriation move, the more users represent various types of instrumental use and attitude. Moreover, the previous structures like “knowledge and experience,” “belief that other members know and accept the use of technology,” “horizontal communication,” and “embodiment of opinion collection process” are evolved to higher degrees in their dimensions of property. Furthermore, users continuously create new spirits and structures, while removing some of the previous ones at the same time. Thus, from longitudinal view, faithful and unfaithful appropriation methods appear recursively, but gradually faithful appropriation takes over the other. In other words, the concept of spirits and structures has been changed in the adaptation process over time for the purpose of alignment between the task and other structures. These findings call for a revised or extended model of structural adaptation in IS (Information Systems) literature now that the vague adaptation process in previous studies has been clarified through the in-depth qualitative study, identifying each phrase with accuracy. In addition, based on these results some guidelines can be set up to help determine which strategies are needed in an individual, group, and organizational level for the purpose of effective technology appropriation. In practice, managers can focus on the changes of spirits and elevation of the structural dimension to achieve effective technology use.

The study aims to explore the nature, drivers of BAE. In particular, how and why consumers engage with branded mobile apps. Since consumer engagement is a multi-dimensional and complex phenomenon, the authors took an interpretivist paradigm and used a grounded theory approach by interviewing 24 participants. The findings reveal that branded app engagement (BAE) is triggered by mainly three aspects, i.e., media characteristics (Privacy and security, customization, and convenience), brand-related aspects (brand image and product/ service quality), and benefits sought (inherent and derived). More importantly, we uncover the underlying mechanism for each factor. Furthermore, the study explains the BAE process in its entirety from an app-centric perspective rather the brand powering the app. Thus, the study offers a fresh perspective and novel insights into the BAE process.

This paper presents how Fuzzy Cognitive Map (FCM) technique can be used for open data analytics for a policy decision maker to support the policy impact evaluation using the example of Policy Compass, an EU research project. The practical usage example on drug policy shows the potential of FCMs as a policy impact modelling and decision support tool that can utilise the open data. Through the provision of a more intuitive and easier means of using open data based on FCM techniques, the Policy Compass project can play a critical role for both policy maker and lay public to evaluate the policy impact and prepare for future policy making.

Considering our increasingly interconnected organizations heavily relying on business processes and the growing need for timely accurate knowledge to achieve greater agility in the enterprise, the idea of looking at business processes as a knowledge object is gaining momentum. Business process information is knowledge and should consequently be managed as a valuable organizational asset, particularly because organizations need to react in near real time to environmental changes and events. This paper provides an overview of the situation in this field arguing for a better definition of the intersections between knowledge and business process management. When business process is seen as knowledge, it should be managed as such. We assess and discuss some of the resulting benefits and considering the need for greater dynamic integration between the two domains, we look at ontologies as an interesting technical approach to bridging this gap showing an example for an ontology based sales order process.

This study inquires into the effectiveness of proactive approach to grammaring through explicit grammar instruction in developing linguistic accuracy of Korean EFL college students’ written products. Forty-eight students from two intact sections of mandatory English composition course participated in the experiment for 10 weeks. The control group was taught with traditional process writing methods, whereas a modified version of process writing pedagogy supplemented with two types of grammar instruction―15-minute in-class grammar lessons and individualized online grammar practice―were applied to the experimental group. Linguistic accuracy of the pre- and post-treatment essays was measured by obligatory occasion analysis in the use of subject-verb agreement, pronoun-antecedent agreement, the articles in front of count nouns, the present perfect tense, and passive construction. The statistical analyses show that the experimental group outperformed the control group in three of five grammatical categories. Variations in linguistic accuracy development over a 10-week period support earlier second language acquisition discoveries that some grammatical categories are more resistant to instructional treatment than others and that linguistic characteristic of the structures interact with individual learner’s cognitive maturity
