본 연구에서는 한일 상대 언어전공 학생의 커리어 지원에 특화된 교육용 비디오 교 재 ‟영상으로 배우는 커리어－한일 학생이 전공 언어를 살리기 위해서－”의 수업 실천 에 대해서 보고하고, 외국어 전공 교육에서의 커리어 교육의 실시 가능성을 찾는 데에 목적을 둔다. 한국과 일본은 정치와 문화에 있어서 교류의 역사가 깊고, 한국에서 일본 어 및 일본 문화를 배우는 학생, 일본에서 한국어 및 한국 문화를 배우는 학생도 옛날 부터 많다. 그러나 이 학생들이 졸업 후에도 활약하기 위한 체계적인 커리어 지원이 확립되어 있지 않다. 그로 인하여 이 학생들이 스스로 노력해서 진로를 개척해야 하는 상황에 처해 있다. 여기에 한일 언어전공 학생의 커리어 지원 상의 과제가 있다고 판단 하여 지금까지 마쓰자키･ 이소노･ 겐코(2019, 2020, 2021a, b, 2022, 2023a, b)에서는 학 부에서의 전문교육에 커리어 지원을 도입하기 위한 실태 조사, 교육용 비디오 교재의 제작 및 공개 등을 해 왔다. 이어서 본고에서는 이 비디오 교재의 수업 실천에 대해서 다루었다. 세 명의 연구자 가 성격을 달리하는 세 개 학교의 교실에서 일본어 또는 한국어를 전공하는 학생을 대 상으로 제작한 커리어 교육용 비디오 교재를 사용하여 수업을 실천하였으며, 수업 실 천 전과 수업 실천 후에 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과를 분석한 결과, 모든 수업에 서 학생들이 커리어에 대한 의식이 향상되었음을 지적할 수 있었다. 이 결과는 외국어 를 전공하는 학생들에 대한 전공교육과 연계된 커리어 지원 교육의 실시 가능성을 시 사하는 결과라고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to report on the teaching practice of Video Resource “Careers through Video: Japanese and Korean Students Making the Most of Their Major Languages”, an educational video material specialized in career support for Korean–Japanese language majors, and to explore the feasibility of implementing career education in foreign language major education. Korea and Japan have a long history of cultural and political exchanges. Currently, there are many students studying Japanese or Japanese culture in Korea and Korean or Korean culture in Japan. However, there is no systematic career support for these students after graduation. As a result, these students are in a situation where they have to determine their own career paths. In response to these issues, Matsuzaki, Isono, and Kenko (2019, 2020, 2021a, b, 2022, 2023a, b) have conducted a survey about providing professional education career support to undergraduates, as well as producing and releasing educational video materials. In this article, we discuss the classroom implementation of these video materials. Three researchers used the video teaching materials for career education at three different schools for students majoring in Japanese or Korean . Surveys were conducted before and after the implementation of the video teaching materials. Analysis of the results indicated that students' career awareness improved in all classes. This result suggests the possibility of implementing career support education for students majoring in foreign languages in conjunction with their education major.

본 연구에서는 한일 언어전공 학생의 커리어 지원에 특화된 교육용 비디오 교재 ‟영상 으로 배우는 커리어한일 학생이 전공 언어를 살리기 위해서”의 제작과 공개에 대해 보 고하고, 그 성과를 널리 공유하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 일본과 한국은 정치와 문화에 있 어 교류의 역사가 깊고, 일본에서 한국어나 한국 문화를 배우는 학생, 한국에서 일본어나 일본 문화를 배우는 학생도 예로부터 많다. 그러나 이 학생들이 졸업 후에 활약하기 위한 체계적인 진로 지원이 확립되어 있지 않다. 그로 인해 이 학생들은 스스로 노력해서 커리 어를 개발해야 하는 상황에 처해 있다. 지금까지 마쯔자키･이소노･겐코(2019, 2020, 2021a, b, 2022)에서는 이에 대해 한일 언어전공 학생의 커리어 교육과 진로에 관해 실태 조사와 분석을 실시하였다. 아울러 학부에서의 전문교육에 커리어 지원을 도입하기 위한 교육용 비디오교재 제작의 의의와 이론적 연구, 시나리오 작성, 체계에 대해 논의하였다. 그리고 본 연구의 주제인 ‘한일 각 나라에서 배우는 한국어 전공･일본어 전공의 학생 이 양 지역의 가교가 되기 위한 커리어 지원’의 핵심 성과로 커리어 교육용 비디오 교재 “영상으로 배우는 커리어한일 학생이 전공 언어를 살리기 위해”을 제작하였다. 본고에 서는 이 비디오 교재의 제작 과정, 그리고 개요와 활용 방안을 보고하고자 한다. 제작 과 정에 대해서는 후속 시청각 교재 제작에 참고가 될 수 있도록 상세하게 설명하였으며, 교실 수업에서의 활용, 자택에서의 자율학습용 교재 활용에 관해서도 제시하였다. 이를 통해 한일 학생들의 전공 언어를 살린 진로 선택에 대해 전문교육에서 활용할 수 있음을 보인다.

Matsuzaki, Isono, and Kenko (2019, 2020, 2021a, b, 2022) have conducted a survey and analysis of the current situation regarding career education and career paths of Japanese and Korean language students, clarified the problems, and then developed a plan to enhance undergraduate professional education from the perspective of career support. We then discussed the significance, theoretical research, scenario development, and framework for the production of educational video materials to enhance undergraduate professional education from the viewpoint of career support. The production process, theoretical study, scenario creation, and framework of the video teaching materials for career education, “Career Support for Korean and Japanese Majors in Japan and Korea to Build Bridges between the Two Regions,” which is the core result of the major theme of this study, “Career Support for Korean and Japanese Majors in Japan and Korea to Build Bridges between the Two Regions,” have been discussed. The report included the production process, an overview of the video materials, and a bill for their utilization. The production process was explained in detail to assist in the production of similar audiovisual materials in the future. He also proposed the use of the materials in the classroom and for self-directed learning. The video materials can be used as an opportunity to raise awareness and provide information to Japanese and Korean students in their undergraduate education regarding career choices based on their major language.

본고는 2014년도 1학기의 K대학교 “IJLP：Intensive Japanese Language Program”의 실천 논문이다. 이 프로그램은 1학기간에 걸쳐 기숙사에서 생활을 하면서, 낮에는 일본어 전공과목을 이수하고 저녁에 집중적으로 일본어로만 실시하는 수업을 수강하며, 기숙사 생활 및 식사 때도 일본어를 사용하는 것을 목표로 한 프로그램이다. 지금까지의 실천을 바탕으로 코스의 목표 수정을 하고 2014년 1학기는 「① 일본어 환경에 푹 빠져서 습관적으로 일본어를 사용할 수 있다. ② 일본어 커뮤니케이션 능력을 높이고 과제 수행 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다.」 「③ 이문화 이해 능력의 향상 (일본 문화를 접하고 이해하고 느낀 것을 표현할 수 있다.)」 「④ 일본어 활동을 통해 일본인이나 동료와의 관계를 돈독히 할 수 있다.」라는 4개의 코스 목표를 설정해서 모두 일정 효과가 있었다. 그러나 언어 기능을 중심으로 한 자체 평가 체크리스트뿐만 아니라 2014년 1학기에는 할 수 없었던 일본인과 일본에 대한 심리적, 사회적, 문화적 측면 등에 관한 이해도 체크리스트 정비 등도 향후의 과제로 검토 할 필요가 있다.

This is a research paper on practices in​ the ​Intensive Japanese Language Program(IJLP) that took place at University K in the first semester of 2014. This program is for students who intend to live in a dormitory for one semester, who attend Japanese major courses during the week, who concentrate on taking classes that only use Japanese from the evening, and who use Japanese when dining and interacting with others the dormitory. Based on previous practices, we corrected the course objectives into the following four items in the first semester of 2014. ①Learn to be able to use Japanese habitually by being fully exposed to a Japanese-using environment. ②Increase the communication ability in Japanese and improve the ability to perform tasks. ③Improve the intercultural comprehension ability (be able to understand and express feelings when encountering Japanese culture.) ④Be able to deepen connections with Japanese people and colleagues, through activities in Japanese. All four objectives produced certain outcomes. However, neither a self-evaluation checklist focusing on language skills, nor a checklist of understandings regarding the psychological, social, and cultural aspects of the Japanese people and Japan were available in the first semester of 2014 and would have to be prepared for further research about the topic.

This research paper contains studies on “IJLP(Intensive Japanese Language Program),” which was a part of the university’s Japanese language course in Korea, in 2013. The “IJLP” aims to make the use of Japanese language a way of life in the dormitory. In their dormitory life, the students who participate in the program take intensive lessons proceeded only in Japanese after attending their major class in the daytime. The main purposes of this program are the following: · Can use Japanese with confidence. · Can communicate in Japanese as well as improving cross-cultural understanding. · Can recognize one’s own Japanese language proficiency via self-assessment. To some degree, positive outcomes along with these goals were observed from the students who participated in the program. However, finding a method to achieve self-directed learning through self-assessment is required in the future trials.

This study reports the overview, performances and improvement process of the Japanese language teacher training which was performed by Korea Japanese Teacher’s Association in Seoul regarding Korean secondary education. The training program led by Japanese native speakers was given from 2004 to 2011. A total of four Japanese native speakers gave Japanese lessons to current middle and high-school teachers. The purpose of the training was to help them improve their Japanese proficiency. The 8-year long training can be divided into three stages: From the 1st to 2nd stages, the program was aimed to reduce the burden of the training and accept various people. During the period from the 2nd to 3rd stages, the program was targeted to help trainees improve spoken Japanese skills and build competence as a Japanese language teacher. The program was meaningful in that many Japanese native speakers continuously participated in the training program and were able to have a better understanding of the program and students. The effects of the training program were analyzed through a questionnaire survey which was conducted for the past 8 years. The survey found the followings: The program was effective in terms of conversation, intimacy and exchange with others. In particular, improvement of conversation skills and exchange with other people was possible because of face-to-face education. In addition, Japanese native speakers were able to have a glimpse at Korean secondary education through their students. As Japanese native speakers continue to participate in the Japanese language teacher training program as Japanese teachers, it would be necessary to develop a new training program which reflects the findings above.
