This study explores the audience experience offered by contemporary performances connected to technology, focusing on the virtual performer Hatsune Miku. As a Vocaloid-based virtual idol who appears on stage without a real human performer behind, Hatsune Miku exists through and is sustained by user participation. This paper argues that Hatsune Miku’s performances form a new mode of spectatorship distinct from other virtual performers. To this end, the study examines discourses on presence and spectatorship within the context of performance studies, and investigates the cultural contexts of otaku subculture paying particular attention to how Hatsune Miku’s performances generate affect in the audience.

This study examined the effects of resilience on burnout among university dance majors. To examine how the subcomponents of resilience relate to various aspects of burnout—namely emotional exhaustion, decreased performance, motivational decline, and self-doubt—this study employed correlation and multiple regression analyses. The results showed that empathy, satisfaction, self-expansion, gratitude, and communication were negatively correlated with loss of motivation. In particular, gratitude significantly predicted lower levels of emotional exhaustion, loss of motivation, and self-doubt, suggesting its role as a protective factor. Conversely, problem analysis ability was positively associated with emotional exhaustion, indicating a potential cognitive burden. No resilience factor significantly influenced reduced performance. These findings highlight the importance of gratitude-based emotional training in preventing burnout among dance majors and suggest that technical fatigue may be influenced more by external conditions. Further studies should consider a broader range of psychological and environmental variables to support dancers' well-being and professional development.

Basically, this research is based on the Edward Said’s orientalism theory, who is a well-known theorist of the post-colonialism. On the stage of the Olympic, the viewing power between the viewers and the performers occurs, and Korea identifies and distinguishes itself and reproduces the typical oriental stereotype through certain particular performances. Based on this, we recognize the orientalism sprouted and grown within our mind, and the salient significance of the research is applicable and nontrivial in that this paper reviews the present-day traditional reproducing system.

The purpose of this study was to analyze ballet movement, Retiré qualitatively regarding a biomechanical and anatomical perspective. The key findings are as follows. First, the mechanical principles of the Retiré were analyzed and the movement of Retiré were divided into five stages. It was also confirmed that ballet teachers should observe the Retiré movement in both the frontal plane and sagittal plane. Second, from an anatomical point of view, the type of muscle used in Retiré is specifically presented. It emphasized the importance of the quadriceps, adductor group, gluteus, and hamstring muscles. In particular, this study suggests that the turnout and duration of the Retiré can be increased depending on the degree of training of the medius and the minimus of gluteus.

Light users were characterized by viewing popular performing arts. Heavy and medium users showed omnivore characteristics that cross pure and popular art. Second, as a result of market segmentation according to taste based on the multi-genre viewing behavior of audiences(heavy users and medium users), it was confirmed that there were “pure art audience group,” “public performance audience group,” and “classical music audience group.” “public performance audience group,” and “classical music audience group.” There were various types according to the audience's taste, and genre changes were occurring in different ways depending on the taste, focusing on classical music, pure performing arts, and popular performing arts.
