With the emergence of Web 2.0, the role of digital content users has expanded from digital content consumers to digital content creators, both of which are contributing significant changes in the economy, society, and culture. In light of this phenomenal trend, we categorize digital content users into digital content user 1.0 (passive users) and digital content user 2.0 (proactive users) in order to develop specific business models and digital service strategies. These two types of digital content users are established based on the patterns of the digital content usage. Along with these types, the effects of digital content characteristics (design, scenario, structure, and technology) on the usefulness, flow and usage intention of digital content are analyzed. Results show that design characteristics do not affect usefulness for both user types. While the technological characteristics of digital content have a positive effect on the flow of digital content user 1.0, the design, scenario, and structure characteristics have a positive effect on the flow of digital content user 2.0. Our study helps managers establish digital content business strategies and digital service plans based on the characteristics of digital content and digital content user types. Our study also provides a theoretical foundation for future digital content related studies.

This paper introduces the notion of U-Business as new paradigm in business and examines the current status of U-business industry and the implementation strategies used by U-business firms using a survey method. In summary, we conclude that different U-business contexts have different perspectives on the outcomes of U-business implementation. The technological foundations of U-business are crucial to improving companies’ U-business performance and competitive challenges within the context of global U-business. So in this paper we are proposing an automatic welcome monitoring system for family functions to enhance and upgrade the guest welcome system into more efficient and effective manner. By means of technology, this idea will resolve the flaws existed in the current system while bringing guest welcoming to a whole new level by automating most of the tasks. The technology working behind will be the face recognition system. From the footage captured by the camera, our system will detect the face and recognize the guest who is coming to function hall. Captured image of the guest coming to function get compared against the data we are having in our database. If match found, the system will display their image and welcome message on screen present in function. In short this upgraded version of guest welcoming system not only saves time, but also provides huge convenience to the person as many processes are automated.
