Symmetric Microstrip Meanderspurline Bandstop Filter

In this paper, a symmetric microstrip meander spurline bandstop filter (SMMBF) is designed and simulated for X-band applications. The designed bandstop filter has a bandstop characteristic with higher insertion loss. The operating resonance frequencies of the bandstop filter is 9.2 GHz with insertion loss of less than 28 dB and return losses are below 1 dB. The miniaturized resonator filters consist of symmetric meander spurline with inductive and capacitive characteristics. The capacitive loaded spurline resonator filter provides a band rejection frequency response. The quality factor (Q) of the resonators filter is good for implementing in microwave oscillators too. Implementation of such resonator filter in MMIC technology is also possible due to their inherent capability to integrate into small sizes.

Adaptive smart antenna arrays are used for cellular communication. This paper presents a comparative study of beamforming techniques for adaptive smart antenna using hybrid algorithms like Simple Matrix Inversion with Recursive Least Square (SMI-RLS) and Least Mean Square with Recursive Least Square (LMS-RLS) algorithm. In this paper, a new compact and high loaded quality factor (QL) resonator with composite of folded meander-line and spiral structure on low dielectric substrate is designed and simulated. The proposed resonator is connected directly to feeding line in order to get high QL and frequency responses. The resonator is designed to operate at 5.5 GHz and the simulation result shows the QL value of 170. The entire size of resonator is 2.60 x 1.61 mm2.

We designed Stepped Impedance Resonator (SIR) bandstop filter (SIRBSF) with hairpin coupling structures which has good performance and it is compact in size and great advantage having an excellent bandstop property. The center frequency of SIRBSF is 5.1 GHz which is the harmonic of the 2.55GHz band. The 3dB band width of the design is 200MHz with the insertion loss (S21) of 35 dB. The application is used for domestic and international fixed and mobile satellite and mobile communication. The overall size is (10 x 20) mm2.

A microstrip dual-band bandpass filter (DBPF) with controllable bandwith is designed and simulated at 3.08 GHz and 7.05 GHz. A step impedance resonator (SIR) with open stubs and the shunt open stub is employed that consists in a pair has advantage of having a compact and excellent transmission characteristics. The 3 dB bandwidth of a first band is 950 MHz with the insertion loss (S21) of -0.2dB and the second bandwidth is 1400 MHz with the insertion loss (S21) of -0.7dB. This bandpass filter can be applied to the domestic and international fixed and mobile satellite telecommunications, fixed meteorological satellite, ultra-wideband(UWB), and broadcast relay, The overall size of bandpass filter is 15 mm × 20 mm.

A A compact and high quality factor (QL) meanderline resonator for intelligent transport system (ITS) application on low dielectric substrate is presented. In order to get high QL and frequency responses, the resonator is connected directly to feeding line which is designed to operate at 5.8 GHz. The simulation result of the designed bandstop type resonator shows the QL value of 201. The dimension of the resonator is 1.85 x 1.59 mm2.

Network service chaining is a service deployment concept that enables network operators to configure network services dynamically in software without making any changes to the hardware. With software defined networking and network function virtualization, network service chaining is gaining a serious attention in the research community. However, its concept is still vague and advantages are yet not clear. Therefore, in this paper, we discussed an architecture for the orchestration of multiple service chains on the underlying infrastructure and explain the workflow of a service chain. With this architecture, applications can create and manage their service chains independently.
