This study aims to figure out validity of the theory on eastern behavior style based on elementary premises that Enneagram diagram is wholly balanced. In the course of study, I came to think that mystery of‘wholeness of mind’, which is dynamic of essence, prototype and deep psychology beyond personality of human beings is hidden in the ‘circle’ of the diagram. Hence, I tried to find validity of the theory of eastern behavior style and newly discovered that continuity of eastern behavior style and circularity of the arrow theory is already hidden in the diagram. This discovery was a luck which came to me in the course of study and teachers who didn’t approve not only validity of the theory of eastern behavior style but also the arrow theory have a task now to stop doubting and realize the meaning hidden in the symbol of the diagram and courageously take action for transformation and growth of each. Additionally, I’d like to share this symbol with visionary masters in the west who committed to the study and growth of Enneagram so that this discovery could be widely used for benefits of all. Lastly, I share the words of Don Richard Riso who said “I wish to acknowledge the Spirit that seems to be the guiding the unfolding of the Enneagram in the world today. Despite so much that is superficial in the field, there is an unmistakably genuine current that is sweeping us forward, supporting us, and urging us on.”

Depending on a type of energy in personal characteristics, 9 Enneagram types are divided into three triads. 5, 6, 7 fall into Head Triad, 2, 3, 4 into Heart Triad, and 8, 9, 1 into Gut Triad. Every human being is born showing a close relation with one of these nine Enneatypes, and each type further expands into three subtypes. So-called 27 Subtypes, categorizes each Enneatype into three different subgroups based on basic human instinct he/she withholds. Subtypes embody the very nature of human instinct, as they coexist in all 9 Enneatypes. Instinct is a survival strategy at a subconscious level that helps a human being survive in this world as a social animal. Three “Subtype” instincts are represented in our daily lives in subconscious ways. Within each of the nine Ennea types, two of three subtypes are consistent with its passion characteristics, while another one is not. We call this against-the-passion subtype “countertype.” 27 Subtypes of Enneagram helps one deeply reflect on him/herself by throwing a question: “who is my true self?” Hence we are able to find our own obsessions through the scope of 27 Subtypes, find our cause, and overcome our obsessive compulsions. In process, one finds his or her gifted talent and learns how to cope with the environment as he or she builds a unique strategy based on these gifts. 27 Subtypes of Enneagram is a self-practice that enables one achieve whole life by offering journey to finding true self.

This study is a qualitative study of the experience of a fellow soldier on type 4 of the enneagram among service-participants. The main research site is in K-area, and the research period is from September 2016 to December 2017. The informant was selected as the intended presentation method, and 11 fellow soldiers of non-conformity soldiers (Type 4 of the enneagram) were selected. Participation observation, focus group consultation and in-depth interview were conducted as data collection methods. The number of interviews took two to three times per person and one to two hours per time. Data analysis was conducted by Spradley (1980) as a method for analyzing cultural and technological journals. Studies show that cultural themes are "real tough people" and "disease people." The five categories are the subcategories of 'personal character' and 'pre-admission trauma' in real tough people. In people who play tricks, it appears to be 'play,' 'repeated false behavior,' and 'change of emotion.' Through this study, please understand the misconformity of type 4 soldiers in the enneagram from the perspective of others. We would like to provide basic data for mental nursing interventions for Type 4 of the enneagram.
