In this paper, Wireless Power Transfer(WPT) technology with automatically measuring a efficiency of load and automatically regulating a device coil has been contained. It used resonant type because it is more convenient and more efficiency than induced type and Radio Frequency(RF) type. An attenuation coefficient between coil and coil decides a efficiency of load by a efficiency formula. For measuring power and for moving coil, it used Micro Controller Unit(MCU), current sensor and stepping motor. As a result, the coil is located a position that it is the biggest efficiency of load.

In this paper, UWB(ultra-wideband) filter was designed by using the CRLH-TL Circuit. This filter was used the resonator combined the Shorted Open Gap Ring(SOGR) and Interdigital line. And this resonator was a small size of ‘ guided-wave length x 0.14’. In addition, this filter was designed by multi-impedance matching for LC-network resonance. This filter was shown to have the size of 18mmX18mm using the small size resonator, the fractional bandwidth over 100%, the insertion loss much less than 1dB, an acceptable return loss performance in the results and characteristic of wide stopband with 12~20.5GHz.

In this paper, we propose the implementation of the simulation program for microstrip antenna analysis. The simulation program consists of the pre-processor, main-processor, and post-processor. The information generated at each stage is passed by the form of a text file. The pre-processor is implemented by the simple design program, and using the Finite Element Method that divide the analysis region into finite elements. The main-processor is implemented by using the Moment Method. The post-processor includes current density, S-parameter, smith chart, and radiation pattern. The analysis results are displayed graphically. The MFC based on C++ language is used for implementation of Graphical User Interface.

This paper is a proposal of a device measuring human’s pulse rate and oxygen saturation of blood using LED with two different wavelengths and photodetector.

In this paper, We describe the way to manufacture Cooler Pack using peltier element. The goal of this is to replenish Vaccines in a good condition for children who living in low vaccine coverage areas. 12V DC 18AH battery supply a power and peltier element makes cool a box until the set temperature by digital temperature controller. But when peltier element operate, heat of the element increase and the heat makes the element breakdown. So we place a fan in order to cool a heated surface of peltier element. We expect to be applied for motor cooling, cooling of electronic components, and mountaineering bags.

Due to technical limits, It is extremely difficult to control the resonating gyroscope when it works at its high resonant frequency. As results, in order to control the resonating gyroscope, we will need to extract the dynamics of resonator from equations of motion which describe those dynamics of resonator including imperfections into equations with slow varying parameters. Using these extracted parameters will make it easier to design controllers for resonating gyroscope using digital signal processor devices. This paper is written to introduce a second-order gyroscope model using op-amp, of which characteristics are similar to resonating gyroscope model, and also H- infinity controller design for this gyroscope.

This paper describes linear quadratic regulation(LQR) application for pitch control of a Horizontal tidal current turbine power generator. Using simplified dynamic model of the turbine, we can obtain nonlinear dynamic equation of the turbine. For designing controller, state-space model is obtained at operating point using taylor series and then an LQR controller is designed. Then Using the obtained turbine model, the LQR controller is simulated using Matlab simulink to investigate the responses of the pitch angle and the rotational speed of the generator.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) are very useful for monitoring, surveillance and emergency aid in isolated area. Multi-rotor is one of the emerging Unmanned Aerial Vehicle platforms. This paper covers the design, and testing of a quad-rotor control system for Navigation. We obtained a linear model from experimental data using system identification method and developed a control algorithm for navigation. The control algorithm was realized using an on a board microprocessor and verified through experiment in real environment.

The ideal actuators for modern engineering applications should be small and light. Conventional actuators like electric motor, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators have been used for vehicle, robots, aerospace and other engineering applications. However these conventional actuators consist of complex sub parts, servo valves and gears that make the actuator heavy and bulky. So the conventional actuators have limitations to be made in small size for embedded engineering systems. There have been many studies to develop actuators with small size and fast response using the smart materials. To control the smart actuator, we need also smaller and lighter controller system. Conventional micro-controllers are not equipped with analog part and need digital to analog converters in addition to the embedded analog to digital converters, which makes the system bulky compared with the small size of the smart devices. To overcome these weaknesses, we are developing one-chip micro-controller that can handle analog and digital signals simultaneously using mixed signal FPGA technology. In this paper we introduce the design of single chip controller using mixed signal FPGA, SmartFusion device. To demonstrate its performance, we implemented a PID controller in the FPGA fabric and showed the effective regulation of a simple 1st order plant.

This paper describes the control simulation of pitch hydroplane motion with the input flapping arm reference in the oscillating flapping arm in tidal wave system power generation. Dynamic model of the system consists of a pitch hydroplane connected to a flapping arm where flapping arm is connected to a gear. By calculating the forces and the moments, dynamic equation of the model system is obtained. Then by using the transfer function of the system, PID control were simulated on Matlab® to investigate the motions of the flapping arm due to up and down of pitch hydroplane motions. The hydroplane structure is following the characteristic of NACA0012.

It is very effective way to utilize a very wide tunable filter in co-existing multi- stadards wireless communications environment. Especially, as the long term evolution (LTE) communication era has come, the multi-band coverage is one of the important features required for the RF components. In this paper, we propose a notch filter which is specially designed for the superb tunability for multiple wireless communication standards. With the help of a complex mising structure, the inherent image signal is suppressed. The proposed notch filter achieved 17 dB attenuation, 1.6 dB insertion loss.

This paper presents a mm-wave fractional PLL frequency synthesizer that has a tuning range capable of covering the whole band for 60 GHz communication systems. The synthesizer operates at 20 GHz with phase noise of -58 and -96.2 dBc/Hz at in-band and 1-MHz frequency offset, respectively. The proposed PLL consists of mm-wave 16/17 pre-scalar, 4 bit controllable VCO with constant Kv, and I/Q LO distribution network. An accurate I/Q phase LO network is constructed using resonate loading poly-phase filters and current driving buffers. Implemented in a 90 nm CMOS technology, the PLL and LO network consume 30 mW and 10 mW power from a 1.2 V supply.

This paper concerns the development of the transformer that can reduce harmonics supplied to the system if the output of photovoltaic inverter in the photovoltaic system is grid-connected, and suggests that problems of harmonics and power factor degradation in the grid-connected photovoltaic system can be improved. In this study, the burden of increasing the investment in new facilities and securing their installation space due to harmonics has been substantially eased through the development of a hybrid transformer possessing unbalanced function and harmonics reduction function using zig-zag coils, and most of all, it is expected that the development of such high efficiency hybrid transformer possessing functions of transformation and reducing harmonics can improve the power quality as well as prevent damages caused by harmonics, leading to suppress unnecessary loss of electric power and thereby contribute to energy savings.

This study is an attempt to alleviate the burden of increased investment in facilities and requirement for space that is inherent in the existing methods by way of introducing a new power transformer design that implements zig-zag winding of coils, resulting in reduction of harmonics and phase imbalance. More importantly, development of this highly efficient transformer, also known as the Hybrid Transformer, also brings benefits in energy savings by reducing the power loss due to harmonics.

In this paper, the present invention relates to circuits that will remove the third harmonic component through a circuit applying the Notch filter. Was implemented by connecting to one of the two circuits of the Upper Band and Lower Band. Navigation technology has been studied widely and the development of navigation technology such as satellite navigation technology and inertial navigation technology enhances its utilization. LED driver IC is used in a full-color LED display system. In this paper, we prpose a 96-channel LED driver IC with the same size as 32-channel LED driver IC. Constant current flow in the channel is configurable via an external resistor. Proposed IC supply constant current of two channels as one of the current source so that it is reduced DC control switch and current source as half when compared to existing channel control method. LED brightness is adjusted by 12-Bits PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) and 8-Bits DC(Dot Correction). A real-time monitoring of IC temperature (120°C/160°C) and LED status (open/short) is provided by LED driver IC and the user can receive warning and get information on problems. A 96-channel LED driver IC is produced using samsung 0.13 um process and the size is 4 mm x 4 mm. A 96-channel LED driver IC with the same size as existing 32-channel LED driver IC can implement. In this paper, channel current characteristic and channel current control function, temperature and LED fault detect function were measured in order to verify embodied proposed IC

Previously Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) was not the preferred choice for offshore monitoring in the oil and gas sector for many reasons such as reliability and security concern. Today, much has changed. Advances in reliability, security, and affordability within the constraints of frequency allocation now enable organizations to take full advantage of WSN for challenging industrial environments. In this paper, we propose an industrial pipe-rack safety monitoring system based on WSN, which uses the ISA100.11a standard for industrial field instruments. We designed and implemented the system, which consists of field nodes, field network gateways, and a control server, and evaluated its operation at large-scale petrochemical plants. The data obtained from WSN-based safety sensors show that the proposed system can continuously monitor and evaluate the structural stability of the pipe-rack, and provide risk management guidelines based on real-world measurements.
