The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the structural patterns and thematic characteristics of social discussions on universal design by applying text mining techniques to domestic news coverage. The dataset consisted of 280 news articles collected from Google News as of October 28, 2025, using Universal Design as the main keyword. After excluding duplicates and irrelevant articles, the final dataset was constructed using the full text of the selected reports. Data processing was conducted in a Python 3.12 environment, employing frequency analysis, word cloud visualization, N-gram extraction, ego-network analysis, and co-occurrence network analysis. The results showed that keywords such as application, public, welfare, city, and safety appeared most frequently, indicating that universal design has been discussed across diverse sectors. Network analysis further revealed that all and application served as central hubs, closely interconnected with terms such as welfare, public, and policy. In addition, the co-occurrence analysis identified three major thematic clusters—lifestyle and welfare, policy and institutional, and spatial and design—demonstrating that universal design spans social, cultural, and industrial domains. Overall, the findings indicate that universal design functions as a broad societal value linked to inclusion and public interest, underscoring the need for wider application across policy, industry, and civic sectors.

This study aims to explore the multi-layered concept of “cultural sports” from the perspective of the sports industry and to clarify its structural characteristics within contemporary social and media environments. Drawing on Bourdieu’s theory of cultural capital and Gerbner and Gross’s cultivation theory, the study constructs an integrated theoretical framework that explains how sports participation and consumption, media representation, and globalization interact to reshape the boundaries and meanings of sports. Methodologically, the research employs literature review and critical discourse analysis to examine domestic and international studies, policy documents, media texts, and fan discourses related to cultural sports and the sports industry. The findings indicate that cultural sports operate as a complex structure encompassing cultural capital accumulation, social stratification, media-driven cultural cultivation, ideology and myth-making, and globalization-induced cultural homogenization. In particular, digital media expansion, fandom-based user-generated content, and the spread of ESG-oriented management practices are shown to reinforce the dual nature of cultural sports as both an economic asset and a socio-cultural field of power. These results provide theoretical and practical implications for redefining the identity of sports studies, designing sports industry policies, and developing strategies that simultaneously pursue industrial growth, social responsibility, and cultural diversity.

Ilex cornuta traditionally used as a pharmaceutical and food ingredient, was extracted using an ultrasonic-assisted method and evaluated for its cosmetic potential. The total polyphenol content of the Ilex cornuta ultrasonic extract was determined to be 247.21 ± 0.99 mg TAE/100 g. Antioxidant capacity was assessed using DPPH, ABTS, and FRAP assays, revealing that the extract exhibited radical scavenging and reducing activities at concentrations above 500 μg/mL. It reduced α-MSH–induced melanin production by about 20% at 1,000 μg/mL without cytotoxicity. These findings indicate that the ultrasonic extract of Ilex cornuta possesses both antioxidant and skin-whitening properties, suggesting its suitability as a functional cosmetic material.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of core self-evaluation (CSE) on innovative behavior and customer orientation among golf course service employees. A total of 308 employees working at six golf courses located in the Seoul and Chungcheong regions participated in the survey. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 through confirmatory factor analysis, reliability tests, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling. The results showed that, first, CSE had a significant positive effect on innovative behavior, with self-efficacy and self-esteem showing relatively stronger effects among its sub-dimensions. Second, CSE also had a positive effect on customer orientation, where emotional stability and self-efficacy were identified as key contributors. Third, innovative behavior positively influenced customer orientation, indicating that creative and proactive work behavior enhances customer-centered service attitudes. These findings suggest that the internal psychological capabilities of service employees are a critical factor in improving golf course service quality. From a managerial perspective, this study highlights the importance of developing recruitment, training, and reward systems that consider employees’ core self-evaluations. Furthermore, fostering an innovation-friendly and emotionally supportive organizational culture can enhance customer-oriented service performance.

This study aims to explore the structural transformations in the world of sports brought about by the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) and to examine the coexistence of technological change and potential risk. With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, AI has permeated all areas of sports—including athlete training, game operations, refereeing, and media consumption. The introduction of such technologies has enhanced efficiency, fairness, and accuracy, yet simultaneously threatens the human-centered values of sports—humanity, fairness, and playfulness. The findings indicate, first, that AI-based officiating systems have reduced human error and improved credibility but have also raised ethical concerns regarding algorithmic transparency and accountability. Second, data-driven training systems have contributed to athletic performance improvement, while revealing the “trap of data dependence,” which weakens athletes’ sensory judgment and creativity. Third, the spread of technology has transformed the roles of coaches and referees, accelerating the dehumanization of sports by excluding emotional and intuitive engagement. Consequently, this study emphasizes the need to redefine AI not as a tool for efficiency but as a supportive partner that complements human decision-making. To ensure sustainable coexistence, it proposes (1) the establishment of ethical guidelines ensuring data protection and fairness, (2) institutional regulations at national and international levels, (3) the enhancement of AI literacy education for sports practitioners, and (4) the redefinition of human-centered roles within the sports ecosystem. Ultimately, the relationship between AI and sports should be reconstructed as one of mutual complementarity rather than opposition, where technological innovation and human reflection coexist in harmony to sustain the true spirit and value of sports.

This study examined how the body produces artistic behavior and aesthetic experiences through dance sports, focusing on Foucault's power theory and Wittgenstein's language game theory. In modern society, leisure is an important condition of life that is directly related to human happiness, but it tends to be reduced to consuming or fatigue-relieving. Therefore, this study attempted to clarify that dance sports are practical acts that combine artistic creation and philosophical thinking beyond simple leisure activities. First, through Foucault's theory of power, visual images and recommendations of important others in the process of participating in dance sports were interpreted as social and psychological power actions that govern the body and induce voluntary participation. In addition, applying Wittgenstein's theory of language games, it was analyzed that the technical language of dance sports functions not as a simple command, but as a form of life that mediates physical behavior and meaning generation. This verbal immersion converts the participant's body into a tool for artistic expression, and enables an aesthetic experience that combines inner imagination and emotions. In conclusion, dance sports can be understood as a complex cultural phenomenon that is regulated in social relations and produces meaning through verbal actions as an artistic body practice that consists of a field where power and language intersect. This study reinterprets dance sports as a philosophical leisure activity that integrates body, language, and art, and suggests its applicability in physical and artistic education in the future.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of elite football coaches’ Autonomy support coaching on athletes’ psychological need satisfaction and team mission as perceived by elite football players. A total of 497 male elite football players from teams located in Busan and the Gyeonggi Province participated in the survey. The instruments included an Autonomy support coaching scale, a psychological need satisfaction scale (autonomy, competence, and relatedness), and the team mission factor from a multidimensional teamwork questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results indicated that Autonomy support coaching had a significant positive effect on athletes’ psychological need satisfaction, including autonomy, competence, and relatedness. In addition, Autonomy support coaching was positively associated with athletes’ perceptions of team mission, and psychological need satisfaction also showed a significant positive effect on team mission. Specifically, higher levels of satisfaction of autonomy, competence, and relatedness were associated with clearer recognition of the team’s shared mission and stronger intentions to act in accordance with that mission. Based on Self-Determination Theory, these findings suggest that Autonomy support coaching can extend beyond individual-level psychological need fulfillment to influence team-level functional outcomes, such as the development and internalization of a shared team mission. This study contributes to the literature by empirically identifying the structural relationships among Autonomy support coaching, psychological need satisfaction, and team mission in elite football players. Furthermore, the findings provide practical implications for developing effective coaching strategies aimed at promoting athletes’ psychological growth and strengthening team cohesion in elite sport settings.

This study aimed to investigate the structural relationships among physical self-efficacy, social capital, and psychological well-being of women participating in sport-for-all programs, and to examine the mediating role of social capital. A total of 224 female participants residing in metropolitan areas and regularly engaged in sport-for-all activities completed a self-administered questionnaire. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was performed for hypothesis testing. The results revealed that physical self-efficacy had significant positive effects on both social capital and psychological well-being. Social capital also had a significant positive effect on psychological well-being and partially mediated the relationship between physical self-efficacy and psychological well-being. These findings suggest that sport-for-all participation plays a crucial role not only in physical health but also in enhancing psychosocial well-being among women. Practical implications highlight the necessity of incorporating community-based components and social interaction strategies into program development. This study provides fundamental evidence for promoting sport-for-all policies and interventions that support women’s holistic health and well-being.
