This study recorded and analyzed each player’s overall difficulty and performance on the basis of International Code point Woman's Artistic Gymnastic, 2009 which is regulated by the FIG (International Federation of Gymnastics) targeting 8 players who participated in the women’s floor exercise finals of gymnastics competition at the London 2012 Summer Olympics and has come to the following conclusions. 1. As a result of analysis on the elements of floor exercise difficulty of all subjects of research, this study revealed that total number of times of difficulty elements performed by 8 players was average 12.6 and the 8 players performed D difficulty the most with average 3.13 times. 2. With respect to the value of combination, the players performed total 20 times using 18 types of combination value. And the number of combination value capable of receiving 0.1 was 9 types and the players also performed 9 elements of combination values receiving 0.2 in combination value. Thus, when selecting or composing elements of difficulty, Korean players are advised to pay attention in composing techniques matching player’s individuality by taking an active interest in the elements of combination performed by the world-class players.

Effects of hot melt extrusion processed nano-iron on growth performance, blood composition, and iron bioavailability in weanling pigs

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of hot melt extrusion (HME) nano-iron as an alternative for the common ferrous sulfate on iron (Fe) bioavailability, growth performance, nutrient digestibility, intestinal morphology, and intestinal microbiota of weanling pigs. A total of 200 piglets (Landrace × Yorkshire × Duroc) were randomly allotted to seven treatments on the basis of initial body weight (BW) and sex. Treatments were the INO100 (100 ppm Fe as FeSO4), HME-Fe levels (50, 75, and 100 ppm nano-Fe as FeSO4). ORG100 (100 ppm Fe as iron methionine). In phase 1, the HME50 pigs showed the lowest Fe content in feed and feces. Plasma Fe concentration was increased in HME100 and ORG100 pigs. In phase 2, there were significantly lower concentration of Fe in feed and feces of HME50 pigs (p < 0.01). A lower Fe concentration in the plasma and liver were observed in HME50 pigs compared with HME100 pigs. Concentration of red blood cell (RBC) was the lowest (p < 0.01) for HME50 pigs. During phase 2, the HME100, HME75, and ORG100 pigs showed a higher RBC and hemoglobin values compared with HME50 pigs. Digestibility of gross energy (GE) and crude protein (CP) were significantly higher in HME100 pigs compared with HME50 pigs. There was an increased (p < 0.01) villus height in the duodenum and jejunum of HME100 pigs compared with HME50 pigs. It is concluded that dietary Fe does not improve growth performance of weanling pigs; however, increasing the dietary iron concentration in weanling piglets increased the RBC and hemoglobin. In addition, the potential ability of HME to be used at a lower level (HME75) was observed.

The current study was aimed to examine the effect of partial or complete replacement of fishmeal (FM) with fermented soybean meal (FSBM) on growth performance, fecal composition, and meat quality in broiler chickens. A total number of 240 one-day-old broiler chicks were randomly allotted into four dietary treatments with six replications and ten birds per one pen. Dietary treatments were followed as; 1) Diet incorporated with 4% FM without FSBM (Control), 2) Diet incorporated with 3% FM and 2% FSBM (FSBM2), 3) Diet incorporated with 2% FM and 3% FSBM (FSBM3) and 4) Diet incorporated with 4% FSBM without FM (FSBM4). Body weight and feed intake were recorded weekly for 35 days of the experimental period. Moreover, fecal samples were collected to evaluate moisture, ash, nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus content on day 21 post-hatch. On day 35, two birds were sacrificed from each pen to measure meat quality parameters and visceral organ weights. Results revealed that, no dietary treatment effect (p > 0.05) was observed either in both body weight or average daily gain of broilers within the entire experimental period while broilers fed FSBM2 increased (p < 0.05) average daily feed intake by 10.07% whereas FSBM4 improved (p < 0.05) feed efficiency ratio by 8.45% compared to birds fed other dietary treatments on day 7 post-hatch. Besides, birds fed FSBM3 obtained the improved (p < 0.05) feed conversion ratio over the birds fed control diet by 7.51% from hatch to day 35 post-hatch (1.60 vs. 1.73). Nevertheless, no difference (p > 0.05) was detected on visceral organ weight, proximate composition and physicochemical characteristics of meat while broilers offered FSBM4 obtained the lowest (p < 0.05) calcium and phosphorous in faces (2.27% and 1.21% respectively) over those offered control feed and other FSBM treatments. In conclusion, FSBM would be a better replacement for ousting FM partially or completely in broiler diet as it did not impair the growth performance and meat quality while reducing the calcium and phosphorous excretion in broilers for 35 days post-hatch.

Through microbial fermentation, probiotics are essential for improving growth performance and gut health in broiler chickens. This study aimed to assess the effects of three additives on growth performance, cytokine levels, and cecal microbiota in broiler chickens. One-dayold Arbor Acres chicks (total 300) were randomized into four groups: (1) control: basal diet, (2) Bacillus subtilis (BS) + basal diet, (3) essential oil + basal diet, and (4) Bacillus velezensis + basal diet. All chickens were fed and watered ad libitum throughout the experiment. Feed intake and body weight were measured weekly. On days 7 and 35, cecal contents of one bird per replicate, based on average body weight, were collected and analyzed for microbiota using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing. The BS group exhibited enhanced growth performance, including increased final body weight, average daily gain, and reduced feed conversion ratio compared to that of the other groups. On day 7, the BS group exhibited a higher abundance of Eisenbergiella (8.24%), and on day 35, there was an increased abundance of Firmicutes (99.63%) and Lachnoclostridium (1.4%). These results indicate that B. subtilis may be a promising probiotic for enhancing broiler health by modulating gut microbiota.

Effects of energy levels on growth performance, carcass characteristics, and fatty acid composition of Holstein steers at different slaughter ages

We investigated the effect of energy levels on growth performance, carcass characteristics, and fatty acid composition of Holstein steers at different slaughter ages. Forty Holstein steers with an average body weight (BW) of 234.21 ± 7.42 kg and 7.78 ± 0.22 months were randomly allocated to two experimental groups; a 22-month-old experimental group and a 24-month-old experimental group. Total digestible nutrients (TDN) for each group were set to 70% (T1) and 72% (T2) during fattening phase and 74% (T3) and 76% (T4) for the finishing phase, respectively. No difference was observed in the final BW between the experimental groups during the fattening phase. However, in the finishing phase, the final BW of T4 (820.31 kg) group was significantly higher than that of T1 (745.57 kg; p < 0.05). The average daily gain (ADG) of T2 group in the finishing phase and overall period were 1.27 kg and 1.26 kg, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of T1 (1.11 kg and 1.12 kg; p < 0.05). The feed conversion ratio (FCR) and TDN conversion ratio of T2 group in the finishing phase also decreased by 10.23% and 7.73%, respectively, compared to those of T1. The cold carcass weight of T4 group was significantly higher (p < 0.05) than that of T1, whereas back fat thickness, longissimus area, and marbling score were not significantly different among groups. No differences were observed in physicochemical characteristics of the carcass including moisture, crude protein, and crude fat content among groups. However, the composition of fatty acids differed significantly between the groups. The content of C18:0 was significantly lower (p < 0.05) in T4 than in T1 group, and the content of C18:2 was higher in T4 than in T1 and T3 (p < 0.05). Therefore, feeding Holstein steers at a high-energy feeding level during the fattening and finishing phases improves ADG and reduces the slaughter age from 24 months to 22 months.

Effects of Fat Sources and Energy to Protein Ratio on Growth Performance and Carcass Composition of Chicks

Three hundred and twenty-four 1 day old chicks were used to determine the effects of fat source and energy to protein ratio on growth performance , carcass composition and the efficiency on nutrient utilization. Chicks were assigned. in a completely randomized design, to 3*3 factorial arrangement of treatments. Chicks received one of three fat sources (n0 fat, tallow, corn oil) and one of three energy to protein ratios(16, 14 and 12kcal ME/g CP). All diets were formulated to be isocaloric(3.2Mcal ME/kg diets) using published ME values for the diet ingredients. Addition of tat to the diet increased ADG, average daily feed intake, and gain to feed, Chicks fed diets containing fat had increased percentage body DM and ether extract(EE), but percentage CP was not different, Chicks fed diets containing fat had increased efficiency of protein and energy deposition. Addition of fat ad either fallow or corn oil yielded similar results. Reducing the energy to protein ratio of the diet did not affect ADG or gain to feed, but tended to decrease average daily feed intake(p=0.80), as well as resulting in linear(p<0.05) reductions in body percentage DM., EE and also total EE. Increasing the energy to protein ratio did not affect percentage or total body Cp. Adding fat to poultry diets improved growth performance and the efficiency of growth chicks. Decreasing the energy to protein ratio did not affect growth performance, but reduced EE in the body of Chicks.

Effects of dietary energy and lysine levels on physiological responses, reproductive performance, blood profiles, and milk composition in primiparous sows

The adequate intake of energy and lysine for primiparous sows are necessary for maternal growth of sows and growth of their progeny. This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary energy and lysine levels on primiparous sows and their progeny. A total of 48 gilts (Yorkshire × Landrace), with an initial body weight (BW) of 168.1 ± 9.71 kg and at day 35 of gestation, were allotted to eight treatment groups with a 2 × 4 factorial arrangement. The first factor was metabolizable energy levels in diet (3,265 or 3,365 kcal of ME/kg), and the second factor was lysine levels in diet (gestation 0.55%, 0.65%, 0.75%, 0.85%, lactation 0.70%, 0.85%, 1.00%, 1.15%). The BW gain (p = 0.07) and backfat thickness (p = 0.09) in the gestation period showed a tendency to be increased in sows fed the high-energy diets. In the lactation period, sows fed the high-energy diets tended to be greater BW (p = 0.09) and less BW loss (p = 0.05) than those of sows fed the low-energy diets. Sows fed high-energy diets had a tendency of greater piglet weight at day 21 of lactation and greater piglet weight gain (p = 0.08 and p = 0.08, respectively). Although the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) was increased linearly as dietary lysine level increased at day 110 of gestation (Linear, p = 0.03), the BUN was decreased linearly as dietary lysine level increase at day 21 of lactation (Linear, p < 0.01). In the composition of colostrum, sows fed high-energy diets had greater casein, protein, total solid, solid not fat, and free fatty acid concentrations than those of sows fed low-energy diets (p < 0.05). Supplementation of total lysine 0.75% for gestation and 1.00% for lactation with 3,365 kcal of ME/kg energy level could be applied to the primiparous sows’ diet to improve performance of sows and growth of their progeny.

Heat stress on microbiota composition, barrier integrity, and nutrient transport in gut, production performance, and its amelioration in farm animals

Livestock species experience several stresses, particularly weaning, transportation, overproduction, crowding, temperature, and diseases in their life. Heat stress (HS) is one of the most stressors, which is encountered in livestock production systems throughout the world, especially in the tropical regions and is likely to be intensified due to global rise in environmental temperature. The gut has emerged as one of the major target organs affected by HS. The alpha- and beta-diversity of gut microbiota composition are altered due to heat exposure to animals with greater colonization of pathogenic microbiota groups. HS also induces several changes in the gut including damages of microstructures of the mucosal epithelia, increased oxidative insults, reduced immunity, and increased permeability of the gut to toxins and pathogens. Vulnerability of the intestinal barrier integrity leads to invasion of pathogenic microbes and translocation of antigens to the blood circulations, which ultimately may cause systematic inflammations and immune responses. Moreover, digestion of nutrients in the guts may be impaired due to reduced enzymatic activity in the digesta, reduced surface areas for absorption and injury to the mucosal structure and altered expressions of the nutrient transport proteins and genes. The systematic hormonal changes due to HS along with alterations in immune and inflammatory responses often cause reduced feed intake and production performance in livestock and poultry. The altered microbiome likely orchestrates to the hosts for various relevant biological phenomena occurring in the body, but the exact mechanisms how functional communications occur between the microbiota and HS responses are yet to be elucidated. This review aims to discuss the effects of HS on microbiota composition, mucosal structure, oxidant-antioxidant balance mechanism, immunity, and barrier integrity in the gut, and production performance of farm animals along with the dietary ameliorations of HS. Also, this review attempts to explain the mechanisms how these biological responses are affected by HS.

Dietary supplementation with coated zinc oxide enhanced growth performance by modulating systemic immunity and microbial composition in weaned pigs

Dietary zinc oxide (ZnO) is widely adopted in the swine industry to alleviate post-weaning diarrhea and promote the growth performance of weaned pigs. However, its low rate of absorption in the gastrointestinal tract leads to excessive excretion, which causes severe environmental pollution. To overcome this limitation, dietary coated ZnO (CZO) has been studied to enhance zinc absorption and mitigate its environmental influence. In the present study, we investigated the effects of dietary CZO on growth performance, frequency of diarrhea, nutrient digestibility, hematological and immune responses, and fecal microbiota of weaned pigs. A total of 72 weaned pigs (7.30 ± 0.01 kg of average initial body weight; 28 days old) were randomly assigned to three dietary treatments (4 pigs/pen; 6 replicates/treatment): basal weaner diet (CON), CON with 2,500 ppm of ZnO (HZO), and CON with 200 mg/kg of CZO. The experiment was conducted for 6 weeks. The CZO group increased (p < 0.05) average daily gain and gain to feed ratio and showed tendency to reduce (p = 0.094) the frequency of diarrhea compared with the CON group during the first two weeks after weaning. The CZO group showed a tendency for the lowest levels of serum tumor necrosis factor-α (p = 0.072) on day 7 and hematocrit (p = 0.083) on day 14 and the highest (p = 0.072) levels of the immunoglobulin M on day 14 among the treatment groups. The HZO group tended to have the lowest (p = 0.078) serum cortisol levels on day 7 among all treatments. At the genus level of gut microbiota analysis, the dietary CZO group showed a higher (p < 0.05) relative abundance of Prevotella, Eubacterium, and Lactobacillus than pigs treated with the CON diet. The HZO group showed a higher (p < 0.05) relative abundance of Eubacterium and Lactobacillus than the CON group. Our results demonstrated that dietary CZO supplementation enhanced growth performance and reduced the incidence of diarrhea by modulating systemic immune responses and shifting fecal microbial compositions in weaned pigs, suggesting its potential as an alternative to the high dose ZnO diets.

Dietary turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) supplementation improves growth performance, short-chain fatty acid production, and modulates bacterial composition of weaned piglets

In livestock nutrition, natural feed additives are gaining increased attention as alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters to improve animal performance. This study investigated the effects of dietary turmeric supplementation on the growth performance and gut health of weaned piglets. A total of 48 weaned piglets (Duroc × [Landrace × Yorkshire]) were used in a 6-week feeding trial. All piglets were allotted to two dietary treatments: corn-soybean meal basal diet without turmeric (control) and with 1% weight per weight (w/w) turmeric powder (turmeric). The results showed that dietary inclusion of turmeric with the basal diet improved final body weight and total average daily gain (p < 0.05). The concentrations of short-chain fatty acids in the fecal samples, including acetic, butyric, and propionic acids, were higher in the turmeric group (p < 0.05). The villus height-to-crypt depth ratio was higher in the ileum of turmeric-fed piglets (p = 0.04). The 16S rRNA gene sequencing of fecal microbiota indicated that, at the phylum level, Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes were the most predominant taxa in all fecal samples. Bacteroidetes were significantly decreased in the turmeric group compared to the control group (p = 0.021). At the genus level, turmeric showed a decreased abundance of Prevotella (p = 0.021) and an increasing trend of Lactobacillus (p = 0.083). Among the total detected species, nine bacterial species showed significant differences between the two groups. The results of this study indicated that turmeric altered the gut microbiota and shortchain fatty acid production. This suggests that turmeric could be used as a potential alternative growth promoter for piglets.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the weight loss through 3 weeks of ketogenic diet on performance-related physical fitness and inflammatory cytokines in Taekwondo athletes. The subjects selected for this research were 20 Taekwondo athletes of the high schools who participated in a summer camp training program. The sub-jects were randomly assigned to 2 groups, 10 subjects to each group: the ketogenic diet (KD) group and the non-ketogenic diet (NKD) group. Body composition, performance-related physical fitness factors (2,000 m sprint, Wingate test, grip force, back muscle strength, sit-up, 100 m sprint, standing broad jump, single leg standing) and cytokines (Iinter-leukin-6, Interferon-γ, tumor necrosis factor-α) were analyzed before and after 3weeks of ketogenic diet. No difference between the KD and NKD groups in weight, %body fat, BMI and fat free mass. However, the KD group, compared to the NKD group, finished 2,000 m sprint in less time after weight loss, and also felt less fatigue as measured by the Wingate test and showed less increase in tumor necrosis factor-α. This result suggests that KD diet can be helpful for weight category athletes, such as Taekwondo athletes, by improving aerobic capacity and fatigue resistance capacity, and also by exerting positive effect on inflammato-ry response.

본 연구는 작곡가의 관점에서 인공지능 작곡 엔진의 실제 사용 사례를 통해, 프롬프트 엔지니 어링을 기반으로 한 AI 음악 작곡의 가능성과 한계점을 탐구한다. 2023 MUVA 프로젝트 쇼케 이스 <META-BREATHING> 전시의 일환으로 개최된 작곡가 정성엽의 협력형 연주 퍼포먼스 <Collabo and collabo>는 전문 바이올리니스트와 AIVA AI 작곡 프로그램을 이용하여 새롭 게 창작된 작품이다. 이 창작 과정에서 AI 작곡의 절차와 결과물을 분석하고, 이를 통해 AI 작 곡 프로그램의 문제점을 보완하며 작곡가의 개입 수준과 조건을 파악하고자 한다. 본 사례 연 구에서는 AI 작곡 프로그램이 작곡가의 의도를 넘어서는 새로운 아이디어를 창의적으로 제공 함에도 불구하고 연주자의 현실적인 연주 가능성, 곡 전개의 예측 가능성과 미세 조정 가능성 등의 부족으로 연주 퍼포먼스에 직접 적용이 어려움을 확인한다. 이에 현장에서 작곡가의 기 대치를 충족하기 위해 음악 제작 전문가들이 적극적으로 개입해 조절할 수 있는 방식으로 AI 작곡 플랫폼이 개선되어야 함을 제안한다.

This study analyzes the possibilities and limitations of AI composition based on prompt engineering through real-world use cases of AI composition engines from the perspective of a music composer. As part of the 2023 MUVA project showcase "META-BREATHING" exhibition, composer Chung Seong Yup's collaborative performance <Collabo and collabo> is a new creation that combines the work of a professional violinist and the AI composition program AIVA. In this creative process, the study aims to analyze the AI composition process and its outcomes, identifying the extent and conditions of the composer's involvement by addressing the issues inherent in the AI composition program used. While AI composition programs are creative and can offer new ideas beyond the composer's intentions, the case-study suggests a need for changes towards an AI composition platform that allows for active involvement by music production experts to produce results that meet the expectations of composers in the field.

본 연구는 국내 금융기업에 대한 사례연구를 실시하여 금융기업의 이사회 구성요인과 기업의 성과 및 시장 배수 간 상관관계를 횡단면적 분석을 통해 고찰해보고, 도출된 상관관계가 이사회 제도가 경영에 미치는 영향에 대하여 시사하는 바를 유추 및 분석하여, 기존 사외이사제도와 기업경영에 대한 연구의 토대 위에 사외이사제도의 메커니즘적 측면에 대한 이해를 제고하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 사용한 표본 대상 금융기업은 기업 간 규모, 주주 지배구조, 시장 지배력의 편차 등이 타 업종에 비해 비교적 미미한 금융지주사 중 주식이 상장되어 있는 6개사를 대상으로 하였으며 각 기업별로 이사회의 규모, 연간회의 개최 횟수, 사외이사 비율, CEO의 이사회 의장직 겸직 여부 등이 회사의 기업성과와 시장 배수에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하고 이에 따른 시사점과 한계에 대해 기술하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between the composition of board of directors of Korean financial companies and its performance and market multiples through cross-sectional analysis by conducting case studies on the companies. It sought to analyze the correlation to infer the implications of the board of directors system on corporate management, in order to contribute to the existing researches on outside director system and corporate management and to enhance understanding of the mechanisms of the outside director system. The sample financial companies selected in the study were the six listed Korean financial holding companies as the sector maintains relatively less deviation in size, shareholding structure, and market dominance compared to other sectors. The study analyzed the impact of the size of the board, frequency of board meetings, proportion of outside directors in the board, and separation of CEO and chairperson’s positions on each company’s performance and market multiples and discussed its implications and limitations.

There are many studies showing that physical training improves body composition including bone mineral density (BMD) in almost all sub-jects. However, the frequency-dependent effect of playing golf on body composition is still not clearly comprehended. Moreover, the effect of screen golf in relations with exercise-frequency on body composition and golf performance has not been documented. Forty year old men participated and were classified into 4 groups: Control group (n=10), BMD1 group (n=10) played screen golf less than 1 day per a week, BMD2-3 group (n=10) played screen golf 2-3 days per a week, and BMD5 group (n=10) played screen golf 5 days per week. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) was performed on 30 male recreational golfers and 10 sedentary individuals. The data gained through DXA were fat mass, lean mass, regional (head, rib, arm, leg, pelvis, spine and trunk) BMD level, and total BMD level summed by regional scores. The club speeds were measured using the Golfzon Vision machine and the handicap points were measured using a simple questionnaire. The present results suggest that the long-frequency of playing screen golf does not improve bone mineral density, lean mass, and handicap point yet improves fat mass and club speed in the middle-aged men.

To compare the effects of 6 weeks of long or short high-intensity interval training (long- or short-HIIT) on body composition, hunger perception, food intake and rating of perceived exertion (RPE). Twenty previously untrained women (25±5 years) were randomly assigned to do a long-HIIT (n=10) or a short-HIIT (n=10). The long-HIIT group performed fif-teen 1-min bouts at 90% of maximum heart rate (HRmax), interspersed by 30-sec active recovery (60% HRmax). The short-HIIT group per-formed forty-five 20-sec bouts at 90% of HRmax, interspersed by 10-sec active recovery (60% HRmax). The training for both groups was con-ducted 3 times a week for 6 weeks. All subjects performed the Astrand cycle ergometer test to estimate maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) 1 week before and after the training period, as well as body composition, which was estimated through circumferences and skinfold thicknesses. For all training sessions, the heart rate, visual scale of hunger, internal load, and RPE were recorded. In the first and last week of training, sub-jects were asked to record a 24-hr food diary for 3 days. Both training in-duced significant pre to post decreases for fat mass, fat percentage, waist circumference, sum of seven skinfolds and RPE. As expected esti-mated, the VO2max increased in both groups. There were no differences for hunger perception, energy intake, and body mass. Long and short-HIIT resulted in fat loss, without altering the energy intake.

The subjects of this research are 30 students of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology in Busan city, who were grouped into two categories after applying the curriculum of the second semester of the freshman year to their classes: those whose academic performance was at the top 20% (15 students) and those whose academic performance was at the bot-tom 20% (15 students). For the measurement items, we measured their weight, body fat mass, body fat rates, body mass index, and abdominal fat rates by using a body composition testing machine. We then ana-lyzed the t-test results by using the IBM SPSS ver. 18.0 program. Through this research, we found that there was a significant difference among those in the group of students whose academic performance was at the top 20% in terms of body fat mass and body fat rates, which means that academic performance has relatively little effect on body composition and abdominal fat rates.

본 연구는 fish oil의 첨가가 한우거세우의 증체, 배최장근의 지방산 조성 및 도체등급에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 평균체중 440.8±32.4kg의 한우거세우 20두를 공시하여 실시하였다. 시험구 배치는 fish oil을 첨가하지 않는 FO-0구와 fish oil을 3% 첨가하는 FO-3구의 2처리로 하였다. 총 증체량과 일당증체량은 fish oil의 첨가에 관계없이 비슷한 결과를 보였다. Fish oil의 첨가는 배최장근의 단백질, 지방 및 회분 함량에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 배최장근의 isoleucine 및 glycine 함량은 fish oil의 첨가로 감소되었으나(p<0.05), cystein 함량은 증가되었다(p<0.05). Fish oil의 첨가는 배최장근의 myristic acid 및 eicosenoic acid 함량은 감소시켰으나(p<0.05), oleic acid 및 arachidonic acid 함량은 증가시켰다(p<0.05). 또한 배최장근의 EPA 및 DHA 함량은 fish oil의 첨가로 증가되었다(p<0.05). 도체중, 등지방두께, 배최장근단면적, 육량지수 및 육량등급은 fish oil의 첨가에 관계없이 두 처리구간에 유사한 경향을 보였다. 육색은 fish oil의 첨가로 개선되었으며 (p<0.05), 육질 1등급 이상 출현두수는 fish oil의 첨가로 증가하는 결과를 보였다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과에서 한우거세우에 대한 fish oil의 첨가는 쇠고기의 지방산 중에서 풍미 및 기호성에 관여하는 oleic acid 함량, 인간의 건강과 관련이 있는 EPA 및 DHA 함량 및 육질 1등급 이상 출현두수를 증가시키는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

Twenty Hanwoo steers (average body weight=440.8±32.4kg) were used to investigate the effects of fish oil supplementation on growth performance, fatty acid composition of longissimus muscle and carcass characteristics. The experiment was done with two treatment groups; FO-0, without fish oil and FO-3, supplemented with 3% fish oil. Total gain and average daily gain (ADG) of steers were similar between two groups. Fish oil supplementation had no effects on contents of protein, ether extract and ash in longissimus muscle. Contents of isoleucine and glycine in longissimus muscle were decreased by fish oil supplementation (p<0.05), but content of cystein was increased by fish oil supplementation (p<0.05). Fish oil supplementation decreased contents of myristic acid and eicosenoic acid in longissimus muscle (p<0.05), but increased contents of oleic acid and arachidonic acid in longissimus muscle (p<0.05). Contents of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in longissimus muscle were increased by fish oil supplementation p<0.05). Carcass weight, back fat thickness, rib-eye area, yield index and yield grade were similar between two groups. Meat color was improved by fish oil supplementation (p<0.05), Ratio of quality grade ‘1 or over’ increased by fish oil supplementation. Therefore, the present study indicating that fish oil supplementation had positive effects on content of oleic acids in relation to flavor of beef, contents of EPA and DHA in relation to human health and ratio of quality grade ‘1 or over’.

유색보리 및 청보리의 급여가 산란계의 생산성과 계란의 품질 및 혈액성상에 미치는 영향

이 연구는 산란계 사료원료로 유색보리와 청보리를 급여시에 생산성, 계란품질, 혈액성상 및 지방산 조성에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 실시하였다. 처리구는 대조구, 유색보리와 청보리를 각각 0, 5, 10, 15% 수준으로 혼합하여 급여하였다. 공시동물은 35주령 닉브라운 산란계 280수로 처리구당 5반복 반복당 8수씩 개체별로 수용하여 4주간 진행하였다. 시험사료는 옥수수-대두박 위주의 사료로 물과 함께 무제한으로 급여하였으며, 1일 16시간 점등 사육한 결과는 다음과 같다. 산란계에서 유색보리와 청보리는 각각 10%와 5% 급여수준에서 산란율이 극대화되었으며, 사료섭취량은 청보리 급여구에서 대조구보다 매우 높게 나타났지만(P<0.05), 사료요구율은 보리 급여구와 대조구간에 통계적 차이가 없었다. 난황색은 보리 급여구에서 높았으며, 난각강도는 차이가 없었고 호유닛은 청보리 급여구에서 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 난황에서 포화지방산 함량은 청보리 15% 급여구에서 매우 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 유색과 청보리 급여구에서 혈중 단백질, 알부민, 콜레스테롤, 중성지방은 보리 급여수준이 증가함에 따라서 대조구에 비하여 낮았지만 청보리 급여구에서 총콜레스테롤과 HDL은 급여수준이 증가함에 따라서 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 이 실험 결과 유색보리와 청보리는 산란계 사료원료로서 15%까지 혼합 급여시에 대조구와 생산 및 계란의 품질에 차이가 없었으므로 사료원료로서 이용이 가능하였지만, 더욱 높은 급여수준에 대한 추후의 연구가 필요하다.

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of feeding colored barley(CB) and whole crop barley(WCB) on performance, egg quality and blood composition of laying hens. A total of 280, 35 weeks old Brown Nick laying hens were allocated into the individual cage for the period of four weeks. Experimental diets contained 2,750kcal/kg ME and 16% CP, respectively. The treatments consisted of 5, 10, 15% CB and WCB as feed ingredients with control and there were five replications in each treatment. Higher egg production was noticed at 10% level of CB and 5% level of WCB in the diets, respectively. Feed intake was higher in WCB and CB treatments compared to those of the control(P<0.05), but the feed conversion was not different. Yolk color tended to increase both in WCB and CB groups. Haugh unit seemed to increase WCB treatments. When the CB and WCB were fed at 15% level, blood total proteins, albumin, total cholesterol and triglyceride contents were decreased than that of the control birds, but total cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol tended to be higher with the increasing level of WCB. As results, no significant differences were observed in performance and egg quality with different levels of dietary WCB and CB. Thus, CB and WCB can be substituted as a feed ingredient up to 15% level in the laying hens' diet. However, further studies are required by feeding more than 15% levels of CB and WCB in the diet of laying hens.

Extrusion 가공처리 계분사료의 첨가수준이 재래산양의 육성능력, 영양소 소화율 및 체조성에 미치는 영향

본 시험은 계분의 가축 사료화의 일환으로 계분, 옥수수 및 타피오카를 50:30:20의 비율로 혼합하여 extrusion 가공한 계분사료(EPM)의 급여수준이 반추가축의 증체량, 사료요구율, 영양소 소화율 및 도체성적에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 평균체중이 10kg 내외의 한국재래산양 수컷 15두를 이용하여 EPM을 시험사료중에 각각 0, 10, 20, 30 및 40%씩 첨가 급여하여 6주간 사양시험을 실시하였다. Extrusion 가공처리 계분사료의 수분, 조지방 및 조섬유 함량는 extrusion 가공처리 전보다 각각 10.8, 0.2 및 0.5% 감소하였고, NFE는 1.7% 증가하였다. 사료섭취량은 대조구의 596.1g/day에 비해 EPM 20 및 30% 첨가구에서 각각 620.6 및 698.5 g/day로 증가하는 경향을 보였으나, 40% 첨가구에서는 590.7g/day로 감소하였다. 일당 증체량은 대조구에서 119.8g으로 EPM 10, 20 및 30% 첨가구의 96.8, 98.3 및 108.2g/day와 거의 유사한 수준을 보였으나, EPM 40% 첨가구에서는 78.3g/day로 대조구에 비해 유의적으로 낮았다(p<0.05). 사료요구율은 대조구(5.01)에 비하여 EPM 첨가수준이 증가할수록 높아지는 경향을 보였으며, 특히 EPM 40% 첨가구에서는 대조구에 비해 현저하게 높았다(p<0.05). 건물 및 조단백질 소화율은 각 처리간에 큰 차이는 인정되지 않았으나, 조섬유 소화율은 대조구의 63.7%에 비해 EPM 10, 20, 30 및 40% 첨가구에서 각각 65.3, 67,5, 70.4 및 71.8%로 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 조지방 소화율은 EPM 40% 첨가구에서 68.5%로 대조구에 비해 유의적으로 낮았고(p<0.05). 다른 EMP 첨가구에서는 거의 유사한 수준을 나타내었다. 도체율은 대조구의 49.7%에 비해 EPM 10, 20, 30 및 40% 첨가구에서 각각 49.7, 48.3, 47.8 및 45.2로 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 산양고기중의 지방 함량은 대조구의 16.3%에 비해 EPM 첨가구 모두에서 유의적으로 감소하였다(p<0.05).

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of supplementary level of extruded poultry manure, corn and tapioca mixture (EPM) on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and body composition in korean native goats. Total 15 heads of Korean native goats (10 kg B.W.) were randomly assigned into five treatment groups (EPM 10, 20, 30, 40% and control.) and feeding trial was done for six weeks with ad libitum. Protein level of the extrudate with poultry manure was directly proportional to corn supplements rate. NFE and Ca content in EPM also were functional of the tapioca supplements levels. Daily body weight gain was significantly (p<0.05) reduced in EPM 40% group, but no significant differences were observed in other groups. Concentrate feed intake was high in EPM 10 to 30% groups, compared to the control. Feed conversion ratio also was relatively higher in EPM groups than in the control. As EPM level increased, dry matter digestibility was proportionally decreased, but that of crude protein was enhanced. Dressed carcass percentage was significantly (p<0.05) reduced with the increase of EPM level, showing control 49.7, EPM 10% 49.8, EPM 20% 48.3, EPM 30% 47.9 and EPM 40% 45.2, respectively.
