The purpose of this study is to find out the operant factors, or types of skin care, and, more importantly, to propose the intervention for more effective skin care and marketing strategies in this business. That is the main reason that the study employes Q methodology which measures human subjectivity objectively and scientifically. This study finally revealed three distinctive factors : Type I, The Passive Follower, Type II, The Active Needs, and Type III, The Independent Judgment. The first type includes people who show passive recognition. They want to be put in charge of experts in the skin care center and to buy cosmetics recommended by experts, and are deep interest in the reaction of other people. The second type contains people who desire things actively. To live delightfully and fashionably, they think of the necessity of skin and body care as an important thing, and feel that it is necessary to take care of the skin beauty actively and regularly for the aging resistance. The third type includes people who judge independently. In general, they recognize and desire the necessity of the skin care, but they think of the skin care as a part of the health care more widely rather than a special thing. These three types are not fixed, but continuously changed in the accordance with the condition and interaction with the circumstance, the results will be utilized as basic materials for the skin and health care through the application according to the characteristic of each type they belong.
The purpose of this study was to review the origin and background of well-being, the emerging well-being culture, and the phenomenon and features of the hair beauty affected by it. For this purpose, the researcher reviewed dissertations written between 199a and 2002, copies of the beauty journal Short Hair published between 2002 and 2003, beauty newspapers published between March, 2003 and June, 2004, and relevant Internet sites. When we review the well-being hair style tendency, we may be reminded of a light shaggy cut style with a thick wave volume or a natural wave highlighted, or a natural style with a natural color rendered by the braid technique. The well-being hair styles may be inspired by such natural images as the earth, sand, rock, wind, feather and flowers, while using cut, permanent wave or coloring technique for the hairs, in order to create new hair styles. The goal is to make men in contact with the nature. Meanwhile, as people are more concerned about diverse hair textures, natural and healthy hairs, they want their hairs to look comfortable and active rather than luxurious. The well-being cut styles may be categorized into cut style highlighting healthy hairs with a Bobos luxury and soft and light stroke cut reminiscent of a Bohemian freedom. The well-being permanent style may be divided into thick wave, natural wave, and the permanent style using a strong wave to make hairs look bloated. The hair colors reminding us of some natural images are used to highlight a well-being image. In addition, the concept of well-being pursuing a happy and healthy life has been being introduced into the permanent wave material liquids; such liquids made from natural materials, fruits or herbs increase, while environmental-friendly liquids or materials are used more for healthy hairs. The reason why the well-being culture influences hair styles importantly may be that people's desire of healthy body and mind and a comfortable life is reflected in hair styles. In conclusion, as the hair styles or an index for a new cultural current in our modern age are influenced by the well-being phenomenon, more and more people will put priority on healthy hairs. So, it is deemed necessary to apply the well-being hair styles appropriately to render satisfactory hair styles.
석창포와 에센셜오일 Geranium(Pelargonum aspeum), lemongrass(Cymbpogen), Cypress(Cupressus Sempervirens), Chamomile Roman(Anthemis nobilis), Tea tree(malaleuca lterniflia), Bergamot(citrus aurant bergamia), lavender(Lavendula officinalis), Sandal wood(Santalum album)을 혼합하여 나타나는 항균 시너지 효과를 Streptococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans에 대하여 검토 해본 결과 다음과 같은 사실이 확인되었다. 1. 석창포는 Streptococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans에 대하여 뚜렷한 항균 효과를 나타냈다. 2. 아로마오일, Geranium(Pelargonum aspeum) lemongrass(Cymbpogen), Cypress(Cupressus Sempervirens), Chamomile Roman(Anthemis nobilis), Tea tree(malaleuca lterniflia), Bergamot(citrus aurant bergamia).lavender(Lavendula officinalis), Sandal wood(Santalum album)등은 Streptococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans에 대하여 강력한 항균 효과를 나타냈다. 3. 석창포와 아로마오일을 혼합 시에도 Streptococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans에 대하여 항균 시너지 효과를 나타냈다. 이로써 석창포와 아로마오일 모두 항균력을 가지고 있음이 확인되었고, 혼합시 또한 석창포와 아로마 오일의 대부분 상승효과가 있으며 이는 화장품에 폭넓게 응용할 수 있으리라 사료된다.
Synergic antibacterial effects of a sweet flag, essential oils, such as geranium, lemongrass, cypress, chamomile roman, tea tree bergamot, lavender and sandal wood, and the combination of sweet flag and essential oils on Streptococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans were observed in this study. As the results of the tests, the growth of Streptococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosu and Candida albicans were inhibited in the presence of sweet flag and/or the essential oils. Consequently, the sweet flag and all essential oils was proved to have antibacterial ability, and thus, can be applied to cosmetics.
This research studies the job satisfaction and turnover intention of the staffs of beauty parlors located in the City of Busan. The subjects were 300 beauty parlor staffs. They were surveyed for one month from October 1, 2003, to October 31, 2003. Regarding the question of the work satisfaction at the beauty parlor, the degrees of satisfaction were 3.83+-0.70 in the field of 'I am proud of myself working in a beauty parlor,' 3.78+-0.62 in the field of 'I feel rewarded after performing an operation on a customer,' 3.73+-0.61 in the field of 'I have a friendly relationship with the customers'. As to a survey on the job satisfaction and their intention of turnover, 22.7% of the respondents answered that they had the experience to move to another beauty parlors more than five times. This indicates that the matter of turnover is quite serious. When they were asked what is most important in choosing their workplace, 50.7% said 'kind teaching of senior staffs', followed by 'payment' which was chosen by 34.3%. As to the disadvantage of the work in beauty parlors. compared to other occupations, 77.3% of the respondents picked up 'few holidays and long working hours' and 11% 'low social position.' From the results, it can be seen that it is important for the beauty industry to make better working conditions and improve benefits in order to reduce the turnover rate and dropouts.

This is a research on the effect of formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E(Frie of oil, Wlter Bouhon GmBH, Germany) on the strech mark. The participants of this study were 20 women at the age of early 20s through middle 20s, who had strech marks that had been over 1 year at the minimum and at less than 5 years at the maximum. Formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E was applied with typical massage to strech marks for 4 months and twice per day. Improvement resulting from the application was evaluated through observation with the naked eye, questionnaire survey, and the equipment used was DermaScan C Ver3(Cortex Technology, Denmark). The experiment showed that parts cared with formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E had less strech marks than those control site(treated with jojoba oil).In around 2 months since the use of the formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E, the tensile of the skin increased and deep wrinkles on the chapped surface became unclear, and in around 4 months the tensile force again decreased and the resilience of the skin increased, and the ultrasonic image showed the decrease of echo pore-zone, which indicates the degree of tissue damage. According to the result of the questionnaire survey, strech marks of less than red strech marks of primary stage were improved more quickly than white strech marks and all participants appeared to experience improvement. The result shows that if this formula is used continuously over 4 months, it reduces strech marks and increase the resilience of the skin. It is considered necessary to continue objective measuring and research concerning strech marks.
The purpose of this study was to find out proper evaluative words according to fashion image and to identify the correlation between clothing style and hair style related to fashion image. The questionnaire was used to collect data. 326 female aged between 23 to 40 were selected for the subjects of this study. The data were analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, pearsons correlation. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Evaluative words for each fashion image were selected by factor analysis. modern image intellectual, cold, urbane, simple, straight. elegance image : graceful, dignified, refined, decorous, luxurious. romantic image : cute, lovely, girlish, feminine, romantic. natural image : natural, comfortable, gentle, intimate, soft. casual image : energetic, active, free, cheerful, vivid. avant-garde image : experimental, strange, creative, avant-garde, irregular. 2. Correlation between clothing style image and hair style image ; clothing style and hair style was positively correlated. with the same image in case of modern, romantic, casual, elegance and avantgarde but natural image of clothing style was correlated with the natural, elegance, romantic, modern image of hair style. 3. The most suitable hair style for the clothing style according to fashion image : The clothing style of a particular image was matched best with the hair style of the same image.
Representing all the parts of human body visible to fit into the script, it can be told that real make-up has been done. Based on the point of view. it will be different from others. To become the beautiful, beauty make-up has to be done, however, to be someone described in the script or any other factions after analyzing characters of being represented, special make-up fits into that category. In the special make-up, there are two different pins: one is 2 dimension make-up which is describing images using dots, lines and colors and other is 3 dimension which will include necessary shapes to figure. Even though there seems to be different between modern technologies and handy work, since accurate measures and graphics have to be used to make perfect character describes in the script, more investments and studies than before have to be made. Real attraction of 3 dimension make-up is building up the images and shapes using unseen abstract images having analyzing characters. It will be decided in the working process called modeling. As having distinguished this part from other make-ups as named prosthetics make-up, proposing means and measures of prosthetics make-up will actually help the others who are studying make-up.
The purpose of this study was to review the changes of hair colors by means of powder decolorant and oxidizers. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey on uses of powder decolorant and oxidizers was conducted, and the collected data thereby were analyzed. This study was concluded as follows; First, it was confirmed that when the hydrogen peroxide was used alone, the hair color was not changed however its concentration was high. Second, when powder decolorant and hydrogen peroxide were mixed at the ratio of 1:2, it was found that the higher the concentration of hydrogen peroxide was, hair color was changed more. Third, it was confirmed that the hair color became brighter when hairs were decolored three times serially. Fourth, it was found that hairs became tougher when the concentration of hydrogen peroxide was higher and when hairs were decolored many times serially.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the Mourning Culture. In this study, methods such as field work, depth interviews and open-ended descriptions were employed to interpret their mourning culture. The results are as follows. This study classifies Mourning Culture by its filial piety, shroud, mourning garments and cremation. The death in the mourning have relation to filial piety. People began preparing their shroud after their 70th birthday anniversary. To keep prepared shroud naphthalene and leaf tobacco were placed inside. And to keep prepared shroud a paulownia tree box was used. The cloths of the shroud were mostly all Sambe(大麻). The color was light color center upon the white color and 素色. Terms of the shroud were different in each region. The kind of the mourning garments were various. The Cognition of the cremation was considerably affirmative.

In order to investigate female workers' recognition of image making, this study conducted a survey of female workers in Daegu and obtained results as follows. First, according to the result of analyzing recognition of image making, many of female workers, 82.3% of whom were between 20s and 40s, replied that they were 'pure and lively'(41.8%) or 'elegant and womanly'(32.3%) but what they sought for in their mind was an elegant and womanly image. However, the image that a majority of female workers wanted to have in the future was 'elegant and womanly' (53.3%) and 'sexy and attractive'(27.4%). This suggests that our society still demand women to be womanly as well as sexy and attractive. Second, with regard to outward image by age, most female workers regardless of age thought that outward image is important for social life. This suggests that younger women recognize more the influence of image and, consequently, the necessity of image making. Thus, the recognition of the importance of outward image appears to result in the proportional enhancement of the consciousness of image management. Third, younger women have a great difference between their current image and the image they seek for and such a difference may be related to mental immaturity between ideal and reality. Fourth, as for the relationship between image making and occupation, those who engaged in service and beauty art highly recognized the importance of image making as they were greatly influenced by their outward image in their social life.
