This study was designed to investigate what an effect Meridian massage widely practiced in the skin and fatness clinics gives to the control of women's lower body fatness. 8 woman students in the J beauty school in Seoul were selected as experimental group. After measuring their femoral or thigh circumference, 4 weeks of Meridian massage was practiced. Another 8 women who were not included in the experiment were selected as the control group. As the results of 4 week Meridian control on lower body fatness, P value of the variance analysis was over 0.05, meaning that there was not a statistical significance. But the measurement of femoral or thigh circumference decreased from 55.85 cm to 53.34 cm, indicating that more often Meridian massage was practiced, the more lower body fatness decreased. This suggests that Meridian massage gives a positive effect to lower body fatness control. In a survey after the experiment, more than 88% of the survey participants answered that Meridian massage was effective to removal of edema, decrease in thigh circumference, and deep sleep, indicating that satisfaction with Meridian massage was high. Based on the findings of this study, it is necessary to study further on quantifying the effect of Meridian massage, which is practiced just to control lower body fatness.

The aim of this study was to assess the cosmeceutical activies of four kinds of Korea herb medicine extracts using in cosmetics and related industries. The cosmeceutical activities of extracts were investigated by tyrosinase inhibition, astringent, anti-bacterial and MTT assay for cell viability. In the whitening effect, PA that the highest tyrosinase inhibition activity showed 56% at 10 ppm in ethanol extract. Also water and ethanol extract of RE showed 54%, 68% at 1,000 ppm, respectively, but LE and CA showed lower effect. Astringent effect of water and ethanol extract of PA appeared over 60% at 1,000ppm concentration but other extracts showed no astringent effect. In the anti-bacterial test, water and ethanol extract of PA showed no anti-bacterial effect against all microorganisms. But water and ethanol extract of RE showed anti-bacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus, ethanol extract of showed on Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes, ethanol extract of CA showed on Candida albicans. The resUlt of stability test showed that the emulsion of containing PA were very stable at various temperature and sun-light test. Viscosity and pH of emulsion did not change. From the results of human patch test to assess the safety of cosmetics containing PA there was no negative reaction on skin was found.

There was an increasing interest that herbal medicine and natural material extracts were proved processes of antioxidant, cosmeceutical activity and the other effects. The aim of this study was to assess the antioxidant of extraction of four kinds from Prunus armeniaca L., Reynoutria elliptica, Curcuma aromatica, Lithospermum erythrorhizon. RE (Reynoutria elliptica) and CA (Curcuma aromatica) have good electron donating ability. The water and ethanol extract of RE at a 100 ppm concentration showed over 70%, the water extract at 500 ppm concentration showed 83% and the ethanol extract at 100 ppm concentration showed 86% of CA. Xanthine oxidase inhibition activity of the water extract of LE (Lithospermum erythrorhizon) at a 1,000 ppm concentration showed over 44%, on the other hand, RE showed in all lowest effect and there was no inhibition activity of a couple more extracts. In the measurement of nitrite scavenging activity, all extracts showed highly scavenging activity. Especially the water and ethanol extract of RE showed over 99% at 500 ppm, also LE showed over 40% at 10 ppm concentration.

The aims of this study was assess to preparation and stability of emulsion containing Taraxacum platycarpum ethanol extract our team was found to shape and size of capsule by optical microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). In the stability test of the emulsion including Taraxacum platycarpum ethanol extract, it was stable of pH, viscosity during 30days. According to all the test results that have been given, it is possible that the ethanol extract of Taraxacum platycarpum can be used as a new cosmetics material.

Hair style was mean of visual symbol that display position or wealth about human life. Also, have spoken for cultural value as human body plastic art that speak for the age. I wished to study about modeling of hair style and interrelationship of color by analyzing systematically laying stress on color through contest creation work consisted in beauty art congress. Urpose of this study is as following. First, examines domestic' outside great council work head change by era, and studies Hair Work's change in work head. Second, Hair Color's change that appear in domestic' outside contest work head studies effect that get in work. Method of study runs parallel literature study and supporting research, utilized domestic' outside literature, connection paper, magazine, picture data etc. To literature study, and work picture data examined laying stress on work that is choosesed picture dataworld beauty use association (OMC) data etc. that appear in domestic' outside beauty art magazine to examine closely specification and stability of beauty art game style and participates in domestic and world beauty art contest. In this study, domestic' characteristic, and effect that collar gets in work head of collar that collects outside contest participating in an athletic contest hair style by (1981~until present) by year and appears in contest work head and in work since analyzing study forward 2007~2008 year direction of collar. First, stream of whole color of the 1980s Brown gave highlight color point partially to basis, and was consisted of creative style and do Gold base color on the whole in Hair by Night item. Second, various Hair color was popularized in the 1990s, and Tuton's color appeared in beauty art game work, and I contributed to improve technique that step-up gradation color appears and does technique to highlight in neon orange in creative style and Hair by Night item by entrance on the stage of neuter gender color.
