Although the standard method to measure sport talent can be developed by field examinations and scientific grounds, it is difficult to expect its innovative development. Because it needs complicated and various approaches to predict the future and the possibility of success of the teenagers. One of the most practical and applicable methods is to depend on discrimination of field instructors such as coach and supervisor who have abundant experiences. The objectives of this study are to discuss theoretical backgrounds and suggest a theoretical principle which could be used as basic data to identify teenagers’sports talent at school or home considering such reality. It is very likely for young athletes to give up their displaying personal potential under the environment controlled too firmly and overheated competition from early age. Therefore parents should not suggest or impose participating in sports as educational means or way to get honor or fame. They should support talent development of their children but it isn’t desirable for them to interfere in technical parts. In general, world players have aspiration to do something and don’t miss opportunities although their talents are more or less inadequate. In that sense excellent instructors need to give them enough opportunities for sports activities. This study is significant in the sense that it provides basic data useful on the spot by predicting desirable future direction of sport talents and expending a national attention about discovering and bringing up sport talents.

이 논문은 주로‘自+X+中’구조의 구문 및 의미론적 특징에 대해 논의합니다. 그리고 사용 빈도, 사체와 계표의 관계, 사건의 관찰점의 세 가지 측면에서, 이 구조가 문장에 들어간 후 ‘NP+自+X+中+VP’ 와 ‘NP+V+自+X+中’의 두 어순을 비교합니다. ‘自+X+中’구조에서 방위사‘中’이 생략되는 조건은 주로X가 단음절이 아닌 음절을 필요로 하고, 의미론적으로 공간의 내적 의미를 강조하지 않고, 인지적으로 비교적 높은 촉지성을 가지고, 사체와 계표가 전체-부분 관계를 형성한다는 것을 포함합니다.

This article mainly discusses the syntactic and semantic features about the structures of “zi+X+zhong”, it compares the two word orders of “NP+zi+X+zhong+VP” with “NP+V+zi+X+zhong” after this structure enters the sentence from three aspects: use frequency, the relationship between trajector and landmark, and the observation point of the event, the main conditions of the orientation word "Zhong" in the “zi+X+zhong” structure include x requires non-monosyllabic on the syllable, not highlight the spatial connotation in semantics, has a high cognitive palpability, trajector and landmark hace a whole -partial relationship.

This paper explores the possibility of substitution of ‘-damyeon, -nyamyeon, -jamyeon; -noramyeon, -eulrachimyeon, -euljaksimyeon’, which is used as a connective ending in the level of proposition among the fused endings of ‘-Xmyeon’ class. And on the basis of the results, this paper systematizes these fused endings and sets up each functional meaning. Firstly, -damyeon' can be replaced with '-myeon', but it can not be substituted for others. Also, ‘-jamyeon’ can be replaced with ‘-noramyeon, -eullachimyeon, -euljaksimyeon’, but not ‘-damyeon or -nyamyeon’. As well, ‘-noramyeon’ can be replaced with ‘-damyeon,’ when the preceding clause has a logical and meaningful relationship of [+assumption] to the following clause, and [-assumption], it can be replaced with ‘-jamyeon, -eullachimyeon, and –euljaksimyeon’. The common functional meaning of these fused endings is [+condition][+time order], and the distinguished functional meaning is [+assumption] for '-damyeon', and [-assumption] for '-eullachimyeon, -euljaksimyeon'. And, ‘-noramyeon’ and ‘-jamyeon’ have a functional meaning of [+progress], but ‘-jamyeon’ also has a functional meaning of [-assumption]. And the functional meaning of '-nyamyeon' is shown as 'question-answer'.

x본고에서는 한국어 연결어미 ‘-다가’의 의미를 「전환/원인, 근거/조건/대조/반복」으로 분류하고 각 의미별로 대응이 성립하는 대표적인 일본어 형식의 양상 및 의미적, 어휘적 조건 등에 대하여 살펴보았다. 고찰결과를 간단히 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. ‘-다가’가 「전환」의 의미를 나타내는 경우의 일본어 대응형식은 크게 ‘-て’형이나 ‘중지형’, ‘-途 中で/-ていて’형식, ‘-ところを’형식, ‘-(よ)うとして’형식으로 나누어진다. 2. ‘-다가’가 「원인, 근거」의 의미를 나타내는 경우는 ‘-ていて’형식이 대응하는 것이 일반적이다. 3. ‘-다가’가 「조건」의 의미를 나타내는 경우는 ‘-と/-たら/-ば’’형식이 대응한다. 4. ‘-다가’가 「대조」의 의미를 나타내는 경우는 ‘-が’가 대응하는 것이 일반적이다. 5. ‘-다가’가 다른 동작의 「반복」을 나탸내는 경우는 ‘-たり-たり’형식의 대응이 자연스러우나 동 일동작의 「반복」을 나타내는 경우는 ‘∼に∼’형식의 대응이 자연스럽거나 ‘-(つづけて)いるうちに ’형식의 대응이 자연스러운 경우로 나누어진다.

In this paper, I have categorized the meanings of ‘-daga’, a Korean connective ending into the following meanings such as “transfer/cause and basis/condition/contrast/repetition”. And then, I have examined not only the aspects of the typical Japanese forms but also the semantic and lexical conditions of the typical Japanese forms that approve the respective respondence by each meaning. The result of study is briefly summarized as follows. 1. In the case of ‘-daga’ signifying a meaning of “transfer”, the Japanese responding forms are widely sorted into type ‘-て’, the type of a combining stem, type ‘-totyuude/-teite’, type ‘-tokorowo’, and type ‘-(yo)utosite’. 2. In the case of ‘-daga’ showing a meaning of “cause, basis”, the type of ‘-teiteていて’ responds generally. 3. In the case of ‘-daga’ representing a meaning of “condition”, the type of ‘-toと/-taraた ら/-baば’’ responds. 4. In the case of ‘-daga’ having a meaning of “contrast”, the type of ‘-gaが’ responds generally. 5. In the case of ‘-daga’ representing a repetition of a different action, the respondence of type ‘-tari-tari’ is natural. But in the case of ‘-daga’ showing a repetition of the same action, either the respondence of type ‘∼ni∼’ or the respondence of type ‘-(tsuzukete) iruuchini’ is natural.

本稿では韓国語の接続形‘-다가’の意味を「転換」「原因、根拠」「条件」「対象」「反復」に分類し、各意味別に対応の成立する代表的な日本語形式の様相及び意味的、語彙的な条件などについて調べてみた。考察の結果を簡単に要約すると次の通りである。1.‘-다가’が「転換」の意味を表す場合の日本語の対応形式は大きく‘-て’形または‘中止形’、-途中で/ーていて‘形式、’-ところを‘形式、’-(よ)うとして‘形式に分けられる。2.‘-다가’が「原因、根拠」の意味を表す場合は‘ーていて’形式が対応するのが一般的である。3.‘-다가’が「条件」の意味を表す場合は‘ーと/ーたら/ーば’形式が対応する。4.‘-다가’が「対照」の意味を表す場合は‘ーが’が対応するのが一般的である。5.‘-다가’が違う動作の「反復」を表す場合は‘ーたりーたり’形式の対応が自然であるが、同じ動作の「反復」を表す場合は‘∼に∼’形式の対応が自然な場合と‘ー(つづけて)いるうちに’形式の対応が自然な場合に分けられる。

This study aimed to establish the possible relationship between club sports participation and the psychological reaction to their vocational environments. Three hundred sixty club baseball players in Seoul and Kyung-ki areas participated for the study. the results from the t-test, One-Way ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis revealed. The results from the multiple regression analyses showed that the SSW(specific satisfaction in work) is related with condition, social relation. external display. Also, the TCO(tendency to change occupation) is connected with social relation, external display, lack of motivation, the SV(self-valuation) is connected with condition, and the social relation and the IWM(internal work motivation) is related to accomplishment, condition and social relation.

韓牛 牝牛의 Body Condition Score가 繁殖形質에 미치는 影響

본 연구는 산차, 계절, 영양상태, 번식주기에 따라 변화하는 한우 빈우의 몸 상태(Body Condition)를 주기적으로 등급화 하여 조사한 값과 동일한 시기에 조사된 한우 번식우의 발육 및 번식형질과의 상관관계를 추정하고, 한우 빈우에서 측정된 몸상태 점수(Body Condition Score, BCS)를 번식 및 사양관리의 수단으로 적용할 수 있는 범위의 기초자료로 제공하고자 실시하였다. 각 형질별 최소자승평균을 추정하였는바, 분만간격은 406.7일, 임신기간은 287.7일, 분만후 첫종부 일수는 66.2일, 수태당 종부횟수는 1.78회였다. 송아지 생시체중은 23.3kg, 이유시 체중은 70.7kg이었다. 종부시 BCS와 분만시 BCS의 평균은 4.55, 5.29 이었으며, 수태당 종부횟수를 BCS 점수에 따라 추정한 바, 종부시 BCS가 5이하에서는 1.50~1.74회였으나, 6이상에서는 2.00~3.00회로 나타났다. 종부시와 분만시 BCS의 분포는 종부시에는 BCS 4~5에서 57%를, 분만시 BCS 5~6에서 46%로 나타내었다. 주요 번식형질의 표현형 상관은 종부시 BCS와 분만시 BCS, 분만간격, 임신기간, 수태당종부횟수 사이에는 0.16, 0.26, 0.08, 0.06으로 정의 상관을 보였고, 분만시 BCS와 분만간격, 임신기간, 수태당 종부횟수 사이에는 0.10, 0.13, 0.10으로 역시 정의 상관관계를 보였으나, 분만간격과 임신기간, 임신기간과 수태당 종부횟수간에는 -0.11, -0.13으로 부의 상관을 보였다.

Data from five Hanwoo breeding farms were collected to analyze the effects of parity, season, nutrition and reproduction on body conditions of heifers and cows and to analyze the relationships of body conditions with reproductive performance and body growth. Analytic models included farms and parity which were run through SAS to estimate least squares means and correlation coefficients between traits - body condition scores(BCS) of 1(very emaciated) through 9(very obese) scale at service and at calving, calving interval, days to rebreeding, gestation length, number of services per conception. Overall averages were 4.55 for BCS at service, 5.42 for BCS at calving, 406.7days of calving interval, 287.7days of gestation length, 66.2days from calving to first service and 1.78 times of services per conception. Number of services per conception was 1.50~1.74 times for the cows of BCS 5 or under and 2.00~3.00 for those of BCS 6 or higher. Body weight of calves from cows observed averaged 23.3kg at birth and 70.7kg at weaning. 57 percent of cows showed BCS 4~5 at services while 46 percent of those showed 5~6 at calving. Estimated phenotypic correlation coefficients of BCS at service with BCS at calving, calving interval, gestation length, number of services per conception were low but positive: 0.16, 0.26, 0.08 and 0.06, respectively. Phenotypic correlations of BCS at calving with calving interval, gestation length and number of services per conception were estimated to be also low and positive: 0.10, 0.13 and 0.10, respectively. However, phenotypic correlations between calving interval and gestation length, and between gestation length and number of services per conception were negative but low as -0.11 and -0.13 each.

바이너리 분석을 통한 UNIX 커널 기반 File System의 TOCTOU Race Condition 탐지

Race Condition은 둘 이상의 프로세스가 하나의 공통 자원에 대해 입력이나 조작이 동시에 일어나 의도치 않은 결과를 가져오는 취약점이다. 해당 취약점은 서비스 거부 또는 권한 상승과 같은 문제를 초래할 수 있다. 소프트웨어에서 취약점이 발생하면 관련된 정보를 문서화하지만 종종 취약점의 발생 원인을 밝히지 않거나 소스코드를 공개하지 않는 경우가 있다. 이런 경우, 취약점을 탐지하기 위해서는 바이너리 레벨에서의 분석이 필요하다. 본 논문은 UNIX 커널기반 File System의 Time-Of-Check Time-Of-Use (TOCTOU) Race Condition 취약점을 바이너리 레벨에서 탐지하는 것을 목표로 한다. 지금까지 해당 취약점에 대해 정적/동적 분석 기법의 다양한 탐지 기법이 연구되었다. 기존의 정적 분석을 이용한 취약점 탐지 도구는 소스코드의 분석을 통해 탐지하며, 바이너리 레벨에서 수행한 연구는 현재 거의 전무하다. 본 논문은 바이너리 정적 분석 도구인 Binary Analysis Platform (BAP)를 통해 Control Flow Graph, Call Graph 기반의 File System의 TOCTOU Race Condition 탐지 방법을 제안한다.

Race Condition is a vulnerability in which two or more processes input or manipulate a common resource at the same time, resulting in unintended results. This vulnerability can lead to problems such as denial of service, elevation of privilege. When a vulnerability occurs in software, the relevant information is documented, but often the cause of the vulnerability or the source code is not disclosed. In this case, analysis at the binary level is necessary to detect the vulnerability. This paper aims to detect the Time-Of-Check Time-Of-Use (TOCTOU) Race Condition vulnerability of UNIX kernel-based File System at the binary level. So far, various detection techniques of static/dynamic analysis techniques have been studied for the vulnerability. Existing vulnerability detection tools using static analysis detect through source code analysis, and there are currently few studies conducted at the binary level. In this paper, we propose a method for detecting TOCTOU Race Condition in File System based on Control Flow Graph and Call Graph through Binary Analysis Platform (BAP), a binary static analysis tool.

한우 암소의 유전능력과 산차에 따른 분만 전?후 체중, Body Condition Score 및 혈중 대사물질의 변화

본 시험은 한우암소의 유전능력과 산차에 따른 분만 전후 체중과 BCS, 생리상태와 관련된 혈중 스트레스 및 혈중 영양대사물질의 변화를 조사하여, 모축의 유전능력을 고려한 분만 전후 차별적 사양기술 개발을 위한 기초자료 확보를 위하여 수행하였다. 공시축은 모체 유전능력(포육력) 효과 판별분석을 통해 선발된 분만 예정축 45두를 공시하여 분만전 60일부터 분만후 120일까지 총 180일간 본 연구에 이용하였다. 시험구 배치는 선발된 분만 예정축 45두를 모체 유전능력에 따라 두 개의 시험 처리구를 두었다. 즉, 육종가 0.23 이상인 것을 유전능력이 높은 시험축 24두, 0.21 이하인 것을 유전능력이 낮은 시험축 21두를 배치하였으며, 선발된 공시축의 유전능력별 평균 산차는 각각 2.83±1.63과 3.00±1.77이었다. 시험결과는 공시축의 체중, 일당증체량 및 body condition score(BCS)는 유전능력에 상관없이 두 시험구간 통계적 유의차이는 없었지만, 분만 전후 일령에 의한 차이는 보였다. 한편 일당증체량과 BCS는 공시축의 산차에 의한 영향은 받지 않았지만, 체중의 경우에는 산차에 따라서 차이를 나타냈었다. 공시축의 혈중 생리적 스트레스 관련 물질인 neutrophil, hematocrit 및 cortisol의 농도와 영양대사관련 물질인 albumin, blood urea nitrogen(BUN), 및 triglyceride, non- esterified fatty acid(NEFA)는 분만 전후 일령에 따른 차이가 크게 나타났으며, 유전능력에 따른 이들 물질의 농도는 일령별로 부분적인 차이를 보였다. 산차에 따른 혈중 이들 물질의 변화는 neutrophil과 triglylceride 농도만 영향을 받았고, 나머지는 영향을 받지 않았다. 따라서 한우의 모유 합성과 분만의 개시와 관련된 생리적 스트레스는 건물섭취량 감소와 영양소의 불균형 섭취로 인해 에너지원으로 이용할 체조직의 분해가 증가하므로 분만 전후 생리영양학적 특성을 고려한 유전능력별 사양관리의 차별화가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

Drying Condition Affects Total Phenol Contents and Antioxidant Activities of Hizikia fusiformis

This study was performed to evaluate the effect of drying methods on the polyphenol contents and antioxidant activities of Hizikia fusiformis. The seaweed was dried using four different conditions: vacuum drying (VD) at $20^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$ and hot-air drying (HD) at $40^{\circ}C$ and $60^{\circ}C$. After drying, the total phenol content, DPPH and nitrite scavenging activities of the water extracts were determined. The total phenol contents were significantly (p<0.05) higher in the vacuum dried samples than the hot-air dried samples. DPPH radical was scavenged 82.67% and 83.45% by VD-20 and VD-30, and 70.44% and 71.23% by HD-40 and HD-60, respectively. At pH 1.2, Hizikia fusiformis scavenged 87.43%, 88.45%, 72.14% and 73.45% of nitrite by the treatment VD-20, VD-30, HD-40 and HD-60, respectively. Interestingly, the nitrite scavenging activity was much more reduced at pH 3.0 than at pH 1.2. Through these experiments, we were able to show that the drying conditions affect the total phenol contents and antioxidant capacities of Hizikia fusiformis.

단일 사진을 이용해 3D 모델을 생성하는 연구는 오랫동안 비전 연구자들 사이에서 유명하고 도전적인 주제 중 하나이다. 최근에 인공지능과 3D 모델링을 융합한 연구들이 진행되고 있지만 다중 사진이 아닌 단일 사진만으로 3D 모델링하는 것은 디테일 누락과 같은 한계가 있으며 엄청난 계산 량을 요구하여 매우 긴 동작 시간을 요구로 한다. 이러한 문제들의 해결책으로 본 논문에서는 제안하는 방법을 활용하여 단일 사진 입력으로부터 다양한 각도에서 바라본 특정 피사체의 사진을 안정적으로 생성하는 방법을 제안한다.

Diagnosing the Condition of Air-conditioning Compressors by Analyzing the Waveform of the Raw AE Signal

To diagnosis abnormal compressor conditions in an air-conditioner, the acoustic emission (AE) signal, which is derived from wear condition, compressed air, and assembly error, was analyzed experimentally. Burst and continuous type AE signals resulted from metal contact and compressed air, and the raw AE signal of compressors was acquired in the production line. After extracting samples using waveforms, the Early Life Test (ELT) was conducted and the waveform was classified as normal or abnormal. Efficient parameters in the waveform pattern were investigated in time and frequency domains and a diagnosis algorithm for air-conditioners using Neural Network estimation is suggested.

Optimal Extraction Condition and Characterization of Antidementia Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitor from Job's Tears (Coix lachrymajobi L.)

For the development of a new antidementia functional food or alternative drug using agricultural products, Job's tears (Coix lachrymajobi L.), which shows high acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activity (55.1%) was selected and the extraction conditions of AChE inhibitor were optimized. AChE inhibitor of Job's tears was maximally extracted when it was treated with 60% methanol at 40℃ for 6 h. The AChE inhibitor of the methanol extracts was partially purified by systematic solvent extraction, thin layer chromatography, silica gel chromatography and reverse-phase HPLC and the partial purified AChE inhibitor with inhibitory activity (IC50) of 0.608 ㎍ was obtained. The partial purified AChE inhibitor was soluble in methanol and hexane, and insoluble in water. Its maximum absorption spectra was 230 ㎚ and also it was stable in the range of 30℃ and 70℃ and pH 4.0-8.0 for 1 h.

Influence of the Condition with and without External Support on the Strength of Hip Flexor in Supine in Subjects without Core Stabilization

Purpose: This study was performed to investigate the influence of the condition with and without external support on the strength of hip flexor in supine position in subjects without core stabilization. Hip flexor muscles are very functional in the hip joint structures. Therefore, it is essential to evaluate the strength of hip flexor in a clinical and precise way. Methods: Twenty subjects participated in this study. The double bent leg-lower test was used to evaluate subjects without core stabilization. The strength of hip flexor muscles was evaluated in supine position, both with and without external support condition. The paired t-test was used to compare the strength of hip flexor muscles according to external support. The level of statistical significance was at α=0.05. The intra-rater reliability of the repeated measures of hip flexor strength was estimated by calculating the intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC). Results: In subjects without core stabilization, the strength of hip flexor in supine was greater with external support than that without external support (p<0.05). In addition, the intra-rater reliability with an ICC (3, 1) of the strength measurement of hip flexor with external support was higher than that without external support. Conclusion: In subjects without core stabilization, the condition with external support can contribute to the strength of hip flexor in supine position and the strength measurement of hip flexor should be considered with the condition with and without external support.

The effects of initial deflection and initial residual stress in steel plate on the out-of-plane deformation and residual stress due to welding are investigated from analysis results of thermal elastic-plastic FEM modeling with large deflection theory. Initial residual stress due to plate forming has very little effects on welding deformation and welding residual stress. For initial deflection, with concave profile (Type I), welding induced deformation has the same type as initial deflection and its magnitudes are small. When initial deflection is in the direction parallel to weld line (Type II), welding induced deformation has minor variations. When initial deflection is bended in the direction normal to weld line (Type III), welding deformation was largely generated along the width direction of the steel plate. On the other hand, the variation in type of initial deflection does not affect the residual stress and plastic strain.

A symmetry breaking nonlinear fluid flow in a two-dimensional wall-driven square cavity taking symmetric boundary condition after some transients has been investigated numerically. It has been shown that the symmetry breaking critical Reynolds number is dependent on the time history of the boundary condition. The cavity has at least three stable steady state solutions for Re=300-375, and two stable solutions if Re>400. Also, it has also been showed that a particular solution among several possible solutions can be obtained by a controlled boundary condition.

This study examined the interactive effects of body condition score (BCS) and parity on reproductive performance and health outcomes in Hanwoo cows. A total of 511 cows were grouped by parity, specifically, heifers (parity 0), multiparous cows (parity 1?4), and older cows (parity ≥ 5), and by BCS, specifically, under-conditioned (UC, BCS < 2.5), adequate (AD, BCS 2.5?3.5), and over-conditioned (OC, BCS ≥ 4.0). Pregnancy rates varied significantly according to parity and BCS. OC heifers had the highest conception rate (95.8%), but also exhibited increased rates of maternal (17.4%) and calf (8.7%) health issues. Multiparous cows maintained high fertility even at low BCS, although heavier male calves were associated with greater calving difficulty in the UC group. Among older cows, the AD group had the most favorable outcomes, whereas the UC group failed to conceive. Gestation was longest in heifers with AD BCS, suggesting sensitivity to maternal condition. Calf birth weight was heaviest for male calves born to UC multiparous cows, who also faced the greatest calving difficulty. Calf and dam health outcomes were poorest in OC cows, particularly heifers. Logistic regression analysis revealed significant negative interaction effects between low BCS and heifer status, indicating that the conception likelihood was reduced in these groups. The impact of BCS was strongly modulated by parity. In summary, OC may benefit fertility in heifers but increases perinatal risk, while multiparous cows tolerate lower BCS at increased calving difficulty. Older cows benefit most from maintaining a moderate BCS. These findings emphasize the need for parity-specific nutritional strategies to improve reproductive performance and herd health in Hanwoo cattle.

Assessment of growing condition variables on alfalfa productivity

This study was conducted to assess the impact of growing condition variables on alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) productivity. A total of 197 alfalfa yield results were acquired from the alfalfa field trials conducted by the South Korean National Agricultural Cooperative Federation or Rural Development Administration between 1983 and 2008. The corresponding climate and soil data were collected from the database of the Korean Meteorological Administration. Twenty-three growing condition variables were developed as explaining variables for alfalfa forage biomass production. Among them, twelve variables were chosen based on the significance of the partial-correlation coefficients or potential agricultural values. The selected partial correlation coefficients between the variables and alfalfa forage biomass ranged from ?0.021 to 0.696. The influence of the selected twelve variables on yearly alfalfa production was summarized into three dominant factors through factor analysis. Along with the accumulated temperature variables, the loading scores of the daily mean temperature higher than 25℃ were over 0.88 in factor 1. The sunshine duration at temperature between 0℃?25℃ was 0.939 in factor 2. Precipitation days were 0.82, which was the greatest in factor 3. Stepwise regression applied with the three dominant factors resulted in the coefficients of factors 1, 2, and 3 for 0.633, 0.485, and 0.115, respectively, and the R-square of the model was 0.602. The environmental conditions limiting alfalfa growth, such as daily temperature higher than 25℃ or daily mean temperature affected annual alfalfa production most substantially among the growing condition variables. Therefore, future cultivar selection should consider the capability of alfalfa to be tolerant to extreme summer weather along with biomass production potential.

Body condition score (BCS) at calving is a vital indicator of the effectiveness of the beginning of lactation in dairy animals. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of BCS at calving on milk production and transition success in dairy buffaloes. Thirty-six (36) Nili Ravi buffaloes were enrolled at 40 days of expected calving and followed through 90 days of lactation. The buffaloes were categorized into three groups according to their BCS (on a scale of 1?5 with 0.25 increments) as follows: 1) low, buffaloes with BCS ≤ 3.0; 2) medium, buffaloes with BCS 3.25?3.5; and 3) high, buffaloes with BCS ≥ 3.75. All buffaloes were fed a similar diet ad libitum. The lactation diet had increased concentrate allowance according to milk yield. The results revealed that the BCS at calving did not affect milk yield; however, fat percentage (fat%) was lower in the low-BCS group. Dry matter intake (DMI) was similar among the treatment groups, although post-calving BCS loss was greater in the high-BCS group compared to the medium- and the low-BCS groups. Similarly, the buffaloes in the high-BCS group had higher non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA) concentration compared to the low- and medium-BCS groups. No cases of metabolic disorders were observed during the study. The present results suggest that the buffaloes in the medium-BCS group appeared to perform better compared to the low- and the high-BCS groups with respect to milk fat% and blood NEFA concentration.
