Using Casual Loop Diagramming to Explore the Drivers of Web Development

This paper proposes the basic analytical framework of web development systems from the perspective of system dynamics. Based on the feedback characteristic of web development activities, we analyze the causality in the web development from six aspects including work stress, web development, motivation, developer maintenance, recruitment and outsourcing and create a casual loop diagram of web development. Through system analysis, crucial factors needed for web developers to accomplish web development tasks continuously and stably are illuminated. The results show that external variables such as new recruitment and case outsourcing can have a short-term effect on the system, while internal variables such as work motivation and work stress have a greater influence on web development activities, which will result in a fluctuation of job performance. From the perspective of management, countermeasures are put forward on how to mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of developers and improve productivity.

Development and Evaluation of a Web-based Learning Course for Clinical Nurses: Anticancer Chemotherapy and Nursing

Purpose: Since anticancer medication nursing is an evaluation area for accreditation by medical institutions in Korea, all clinical nurses are required to attend an annual classroom lecture. However, it is necessary to reconsider the methods and effects of this requirement. This study was conducted to develop a web-based anticancer chemotherapy nursing course for clinical nurses and to examine its effectiveness in terms of job knowledge, self-efficacy, and nursing performance. Methods: A randomized controlled design using random selection was utilized. The content was developed into 5 modules featuring basic and advanced learning, and the total learning time was 80 minutes. To test the effect of the multimedia contents, a randomized control group pretest-posttest study design was adopted. Clinical nurses with less than five years of experience were recruited from a university-affiliated hospital and randomly assigned to an experimental (n=28) or control (n=28) group. The experimental group autonomously learned web-based anticancer chemotherapy nursing for two weeks through a website. Results: There was a statistically significant increase in the job knowledge of the experimental group receiving the classroom lecture (p=.001). However, there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in self-efficacy (p=.055) and nursing performance (p=.359). Conclusion: This study found that web-based self-learning could be a useful learning strategy for the anticancer chemotherapy and nursing education that clinical nurses must complete annually. However, it is necessary to verify the effect on self-efficacy and nursing performance through repeated studies.

Development and Evaluation of a Mobile Web-based Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Management Educational Program for Parents of School-aged Children with Food Allergy: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a mobile web-based food allergy (FA) and anaphylaxis management educational program for parents of school-aged children with food allergies and evaluate its effectiveness. Methods: A mobile program was developed based on a web-based teaching-learning system model. Its effectiveness was subsequently evaluated using a parallel, randomized controlled pre- and post-test design. This study included 73 parents of school-aged children with food allergies. These parents were randomly assigned to either the experimental (n ¼ 37) or control (n ¼ 36) groups. The experimental group participated in a 2-week mobile web-based educational program that covered major topics in FA and anaphylaxis management. These topics included an understanding of food allergies and anaphylaxis, learning techniques for using an epinephrine auto-injector, and developing an emergency action plan. An educational booklet was provided to the control group. Participants completed a pre-test and two posttest questionnaires to evaluate the impact of the program. The assessment tools were the Food Allergy Knowledge Test, Food Allergy Self-Efficacy for Parents, and Food Management and Adaptation Scale. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a test of homogeneity for the pre-test, an independent ttest, and repeated measures ANOVA. Results: The experimental group experienced greater improvement in the knowledge of FA (postintervention t ¼ 14.51, p < .001; 2 weeks post-intervention, t ¼ 16.15, p < .001), FA self-efficacy (postintervention t ¼ 77.99, p < .001; 2 weeks post-intervention, t ¼ 76.09, p < .001), and practice behavior in FA management (post-intervention t ¼ 28.10, p < .001; 2 weeks post-intervention, t ¼ 27.98, p < .001) after web-based FA education. Conclusion: This study revealed improvements in the knowledge, self-efficacy, and practice behaviors of parents regarding FA and anaphylaxis management. Therefore, the mobile web-based educational program can contribute to the effective management of food allergies and anaphylaxis for parents of schoolaged children. CRIS registration: KCT0007491.

본 연구는 국내 베트남 여성의 생식건강증진을 위한 웹기반 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 평가하고자 수행되었다. 연구기간은 2022년 9월부터 6개월간에 걸쳐 이루어졌으며, ADDIE모형을 토대로 베트남 여성의 생식건강증진을 위한 웹기 반 프로그램 개발하고 예비조사를 통해 사용성 평가를 수행하였다. 만족도 조사는 5개 항목으로 구성된 5점 리커트 척도를 사용하여 평가되었다. 또한, 개방형 질문을 통해 사용성에 대해 자유롭게 답하도록 하여 질적인 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결 과, 본 연구에서 개발한 프로그램은 베트남 여성의 생식건강증진 교육을 위한 학습도구로 적절하며 사용성이 높은 것으로 나 타났다. 개선할 점으로는 실시간 상담이 어려운 점이 나타나 추후 연구에서는 인공지능과 챗봇을 접목하여 기술적인 보완이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 베트남 언어를 기반으로 하여 생식건강증진을 위한 웹기반 프로그램을 개발하였다는 점에 의의가 있으며, 추후에는 인공지능을 활용한 웹 기반 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

This study was conducted to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a web-based program to promote reproductive health among Vietnamese women living in Korea. The study period lasted 6 months starting in September 2022, and a web-based program to promote reproductive health of Vietnamese women was developed based on the ADDIE model. In addition, usability evaluation was conducted through preliminary research. The satisfaction survey was evaluated using a 5-point Likert scale comprising five items. Furthermore, qualitative data on usability were gathered through open-ended questions, enabling participants to provide free-text responses. As a result of the study, the program developed in this study showed appropriateness and high usability as a learning tool for reproductive health promotion education in Vietnamese women. Things that needed improvement included difficulties with real-time consultation, and future research will likely require technological improvements combining artificial intelligence and chatbots. This study is significant in that it developed a web-based program to promote reproductive health in the Vietnamese language, and suggests the need to develop a web-based educational program using artificial intelligence in the future.

Development of Android-Mobile Application Software in Teaching Web System and Technologies

The major concern of the study was to develop android - mobile application software for teaching web systems and technologies for the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology students of the College of Information & Communications Technology of Bulacan State University. It made use Instructional System Design (ISD) model, which consists of five phases: (1) analysis; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementation; and (5) evaluation and revision. The topics included in the courseware were based on the scope of the course syllabus of IT393 - Web Systems and Technologies, enabling the students to learn principles of the subject in unique approach with seven conceptualized units. Significantly, the AMAS has the following advantages: (1) Learner Control; (2) Motivation; (3) Increased interaction; (4) Individualization; (5) Lesson Integrity; (6) Immediate feedback; and (7) Ease of record keeping. Its acceptability was assessed in five dimensions: (1) subject matter content; (2) Readability; (3) Instructional design; (4) Software Operation; and (5) Usability. Moreover, considering the advantages of the software and the acceptability of the android - mobile application software approach, it was recommended that this new mode of instruction be implemented in teaching web systems and technologies.

4차 산업혁명의 기술 발전에 따라 학교에서의 교육환경도 점점 스마트하게 변하고 있다. 교육을 위한 장비들도 보다 첨단화되고 있으며, 이로 인해 전자칠판이 교실환경에 보편화되고 있다. 그러나 지금의 전자칠판은 터치가 되는 장 비에 판서 소프트웨어가 포함되어 배포되고 있기 때문에, 판서 작업을 수행하기 위해서는 소프트웨어가 탑재된 장비 가 필요하다. 또한 판서 소프트웨어의 기능이 수정, 변경될 경우 각 장비마다 일일이 소프트웨어를 재 설치하거나 업데이트를 수행해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 전자칠판 장비의 독립성을 향상시키기 위하여 웹기반 판서 소프트웨어의 개발 내용에 대해 기술한다. 웹기반의 판서 소프트웨어는 터치로 입력이 가능하고 인터넷이 되는 모든 장비에서 웹 을 통해 판서 기능을 사용할 수 있게 함으로써 장비 독립성 통해 소프트웨어 유지보수 비용을 줄이고 사용 접근성을 높여준다.

According to development of the 4th Industrial Revolution technology, the educational environment in schools is gradually changing digital-smart and high-tech. At this time, electronic board system has come into wide use in school. However, since today’s electronic board system is distributed by including the writing software in the touching equipment, the equipment with built-in software is needed to write on the board. In addition, if the functions of the software are modified or changed, the software of each device must be reinstalled or updated. In this paper, we describe the development of web-based writing software to improve the independence of electronic board equipment. Because the web-based writing software can be used through the web on all the Internet and touch-typing enabled devices, the equipment independence reduces software maintenance costs and improves accessibility.

This study introduces the web-camera image processing-based natural landmark extraction method for automatic welding using 3-axis stage. The welding is a highly significant process in the industries of shipbuilding, automobile, construction, machinery, and so on. However, it has been avoided due to poor working conditions such as fume, spatter, noise, and so on. For the automatic welding system, the web-camera is used to extract the natural landmarks which can give the relative coordinate to set up the initial position of the stage for the welding process. The Canny edge and Hough transformation have been used to extract the significant points for the natural landmark extraction in this paper.

수학과에서 학습자는 학습을 하기 전에 선수학습을 제대로 이수하지 못했을 경우 다음 학습에 곤란을 겪는다. 학습 부진아에 대한 개별적인 지도는 교육현장에서 반드시 해결해야 할 필연적인 과제이나 일선 학급 담임에게만 그 책임을 지우는 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 연구를 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 웹기반 진단평가 시스템을 개발 및 적용하여 학습 부진아들의 학습 결손을 여부를 진단 평가 시스템을 통해 진단하고 누적된 학습 결손을 처치하여 본 학습에 도움을 주고자 하였다. 연구대상은 연구자가 근무하는 학교의 수학 기초학습 부진아 10명을 선정하였으며 수와 연산 영역을 중심으로 진단평가 시스템을 적용하였다. 그 결과 학습 부진아의 학력 향상 및 흥미를 높이는데 효과적임을 알 수 있었으며 통계처리는 F-검증(일원분산 분석)을 통해 검증한 결과 유의한 차이가 있음을 통계적으로 검증되었다.

If a learner should fail to complete previous courses before moving on to the next level will face difficulty keeping up with it. Such personal tuition for those having trouble coping with their class is an issue that needs urgent addressing, which cannot be a burden only to teachers, this study has been conducted to sought for a solution. This study has developed and put into application a web based analyzing system to assess the area of deficit in students followed by obliterating accumulated learning deficits to impart assistance for their study. The subject of the study comprised of ten students from a school where the researcher is on duty and the field of assessment with the analyzing system were numbers and calculations. As a result, we could find out its efficiency in elevating their capability and interest in learning, which was proven to be statistically significant using ANOVA.
