Indoor and Outdoor Scene Classification Method Based on Fourier Transform

In this paper, a method for indoor and outdoor scene classification is proposed based on the spectrum information of Fourier transform. Firstly, the image is divided into five partitions. The color, texture, and spectral information of each partition are extracted as feature vector. Each partition has a separate image feature vectors, so the image can be represented by this set of features. For the feature extraction stage, frequency information can be used to classify indoor and outdoor scene. Compared with other classification methods, classification accuracy of this method increased from 91% to 92%, experimental results show that the proposed method is effective.

With the rising popularity of e-commerce, more and more enterprises begin to construct and adapt to e-commerce system. It is far more than a simple computer system. Currently, many experts and organizations have attempted to evaluate the e-commerce performance theoretically. However, there is a white space in the theory, in particular the theoretical system of e-commerce performance evaluation. Thus, this paper sets up an index system for e-commerce performance evaluation based on features of e-commerce enterprises and evaluation theories. It proposes a Group Analytical Hierarchy Process (GAHP) that is proved to work out well when evaluating the e-commerce performance.
Error Resilient SPIHT Coded Grayscale Image transmission over MIMO System

In this paper, we propose Error Resilient SPIHT coded MIMO system to address the issue of image transmission and reception over noisy Rayleigh Fading channel. Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT) is chosen as the compression algorithm since it offers the lossless compression and excellent rate distortion in noiseless environment. SPIHT encoded data is modulated in the manner that it will provide Unequal Error Protection (UEP) to achieve error resilience. In proposed method, SPIHT encoded data is divided into the low priority stream (LP) and the high priority stream (HP) to achieve UEP and as a result it yields high PSNR value. These streams are modulated using M-QAM modulation scheme and transmitted over Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system to achieve better diversity. The adaptive value of M is determined by the proposed algorithm. Simulation results depicts that PSNR of received images are better as compared to that reported by Fowdur et al. [12].

Taking the large deflection of flexible cables used in spacecrafts into account, a method is proposed to describe the position of any point on the cable using sagittal diameter, pitch angle, and deflection angle. Furthermore, the spatial attitude of the cable is determined using the mutual conversion of four coordinate systems. On the basis of the above, a mechanics model that comprehensively considers physical factors, such as mass, mechanical properties, and space constraints, is proposed in this paper. The forces and spatial attitudes of the equilibrium of the cable are also analyzed. In addition, Simulation analyses of the proposed mechanics model are performed. Results are in reasonable agreement with the actual assembly environment.
An Advanced Algorithm for Image Resolution Enhancement Technique in both Wavelet and Spatial Domain

Image enhancement is a process of improving the quality of digital image without knowledge about the source of degradation. A method to enhance the quality of given low resolution image is presented in this paper. The enhancement is made in both wavelet and spatial domain. The upsampling scheme is used to enhance the edge information in the spatial domain. To get a sharp high resolution image, the proposed method uses Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Stationary Wavelet Transform (SWT) which decompose the input image into four sub-bands denoted by LL, LH, HL and HH. Then the high frequency sub-bands of DWT as well as the input image are interpolated separately by using bicubic interpolation. The high frequency sub-bands produced by SWT are added into the interpolated high frequency sub-bands to correct the estimated high frequency coefficients. After that, the corrected high frequency sub-bands and interpolated input image are combined by using inverse DWT (IDWT). Consequently, the support of filters to model the regularity of natural images is exploited in the wavelet domain. To minimize the reconstruction error, iterative back projection method is employed. The objective and subjective qualities show that the proposed algorithm over-performs the conventional and state-of-the-art image resolution enhancement techniques.
Design and Application of Monitoring System of Li-ion Battery Pack

This paper has applied battery pack technologies in battery system based on the characteristics of charging and discharging process and composed big battery pack from single battery cells with MSP430 as micro control unit (MCU). The paper has also designed the monitoring hardware system of main control unit, data monitoring module, as well as the monitoring software of upper computer of CAN communication technologies with collected voltage, current and temperature of battery. The upper software is designed by module process with real-time monitoring function in voltage and temperature. SOC on-line prediction can be obtained by the establishment of mathematical model of Li-ion battery based on Extended Kalman Filter algorithm (EKF), the accuracy of the prediction is about 2.7%. The algorithm can be applied in battery management system of Li-ion battery for electrical vehicles with the same application effect and accuracy.
Development of a MATLAB Toolbox for 3-PRS Parallel Robot

Aiming at one kind of 3-PRS parallel robot, the study develops a toolbox in MATLAB. The toolbox includes functions for forward kinematics, inverse kinematics, velocity kinematics, error analysis, schematic representation, and so on. The architecture of the 3-PRS robot is introduced firstly. The instructions of the functions, developing procedure and main algorithms are presented secondly. The toolbox encapsulates complicated mathematical formulas into the single function and provides standard inputs and outputs, which improves the reliability and makes it easy to use. Finally, an example calls the toolbox function, and verifies its correctness, reliability and convenience.
A Framework for Arabic Handwritten Recognition Based on Segmentation

Automatic off-line Arabic handwriting recognition still faces a big challenges. Due to the cursive nature of the Arabic language, most of published works are based on recognition of a whole word without segmentation. This paper presents a new framework for the recognition of handwritten Arabic words based on segmentation. This framework involves two phases (training phase and testing phase). In the training phase, Arabic handwritten characters were trained to be recognized, while in the testing phase, words were segmented into characters for recognition. Classification is achieved in two steps (classification of the segmented characters and classification of the word). A dictionary is constructed and used to correct any errors occurring during the previous stages of the recognition process. This work has been tested with IFN/ENIT database and a comparison made against some existing methods and promising results have been obtained.

A fuzzy random mixed 0-1 integer programming model of Combined Location Routing and Inventory Problem (CLRIP) has been developed in B2C E-Commerce distribution system. Demands of customers and distribution centers have been assumed to be fuzzy random variables. The expected value of fuzzy random variable and the possibilistic mean value method have been used to transform the fuzzy random variables into determined ones. Therefore, this fuzzy random model has been converted into deterministic. A two-stage heuristic algorithm based on Tabu Search (TS) has been designed for solving determined model. A numerical example has demonstrated the effectiveness of the model and algorithm.
