본 논문은 독거노인의 복합적 행태를 이종 사물인터넷 센서들과 딥러닝 기법을 활용하여 인지하고 낙상, 잦은 기침, 수면의 질 감소, 발열 및 비정상적 생활 동선의 발생 등 위급하거나 건강이 저하되는 상황을 적시에 보호자 및 의료복지 담당자에게 알리고 적정한 후속 서비스를 추천 및 수행할 수 있는 시스템을 논한다. 독거노인 들의 생활을 최대한 방해하지 않기 위하여 전면 비접촉식 상황 인식 기술을 선보인다. 본 논문은 센서 데이터의 수집 및 분석 체계의 설계와 구현 방법은 물론, 서울시 총 5개구 거주 독거노인들을 대상으로 실증한 경험을 통해 설치, 설정, 운영 및 유지 보수 측면에서의 다양한 문제점들을 서술하고 해당 시스템의 전국 확산에 대비한 향후 발전 방향을 제언한다.
This paper presents a system that remotely monitors lone seniors at home and promptly alarms caregivers to recommend appropriate medical care services upon detecting abnormal behavior and critical conditions such as collapsing, excessive coughing, degradation of sleep quality, fever, and unusual indoor moving lines. Our system offers contactless monitoring techniques based on heterogeneous IoT sensors and deep learning to minimize the disruption to lone senior's daily life. In addition to the design and implementation of the sensor data collection and analysis system, we share our experience in installation, deployment, configuration, maintenance of the system through the case study conducted on the actual lone seniors living in Seoul Metropolitan. Based on our research, we recommend further development directions to prepare for the nationwide expansion of our system.
Construction of a Remote Monitoring System in Smart Dust Environment

A smart dust monitoring system is useful for obtaining information on rough terrain that is difficult for humans to access. One of ways to deploy sensors to gather information in smart dust environment is to use an aircraft in the Amazon rainforest to scatter an enormous amount of small and cheap sensors (or smart dust devices), or to use an unmanned spacecraft to throw the sensors on the moon's surface. However, scattering an enormous amount of smart dust devices creates the difficulty of managing such devices as they can be scattered into inaccessible areas, and also causes problems such as bottlenecks, device failure, and high/low density of devices. Of the various problems that may occur in the smart dust environment, this paper is focused on solving the bottleneck problem. To address this, we propose and construct a three-layered hierarchical smart dust monitoring system that includes relay dust devices (RDDs). An RDD is a smart dust device with relatively higher computing/communicating power than a normal smart dust device. RDDs play a crucial role in reducing traffic load for the system. To validate the proposed system, we use climate data obtained from authorized portals to compare the system with other systems (i.e., non-hierarchical system and simple hierarchical system). Through this comparison, we determined that the transmission processing time is reduced by 49%-50% compared to other systems, and the maximum number of connectable devices can be increased by 16-32 times without compromising the system's operations.
The Design of Remote Monitoring and Warning System for Dangerous Chemicals Based on CPS

The remote monitoring and warning system for dangerous chemicals is designed with the concept of the Cyber-Physical System (CPS) in this paper. The real-time perception, dynamic control, and information service of major hazards chemicals are realized in this CPS system. The CPS system architecture, the physical layer and the applacation layer, are designed in this paper. The terminal node is mainly composed of the field collectors which complete the data acquisition of sensors and video in the physical layers, and the use of application layer makes CPS system safer and more reliable to monitor the hazardous chemicals. The cloud application layer completes the risk identification and the prediction of the major hazard sources. The early intelligent warning of the major dangerous chemicals is realized and the security risk images are given in the cloud application layer. With the CPS technology, the remote network of hazardous chemicals has been completed, and a major hazard monitoring and accident warning online system is formed. Through the experiment of the terminal node, it can be proved that the terminal node can complete the mass data collection and classify. With this experiment it can be obtained the CPS system is safe and effective. In order to verify feasible, the multi-risk warning based on CPS is simulated, and results show that the system solves the problem of hazardous chemicals enterprises safety management.
Security Threat Analysis for Remote Monitoring and Control Functions of Connected Car Services

The connected car services are one of the most widely used services in the Internet of Things environment, and they provide numerous services to existing vehicles by connecting them through networks inside and outside the vehicle. However, although vehicle manufacturers are developing services considering the means to secure the connected car services, concerns about the security of the connected car services are growing due to the increasing number of attack cases. In this study, we reviewed the research related to the connected car services that have been announced so far, and we identified the threats that may exist in the connected car services through security threat modeling to improve the fundamental security level of the connected car services. As a result of performing the test to the applications for connected car services developed by four manufacturers, we found that all four companies' applications excessively requested unnecessary permissions for application operation, and the apps did not obfuscate the source code. Additionally, we found that there were still vulnerabilities in application items such as exposing error messages and debugging information.

High-resolution remote-sensing-network technology has the advantages of low cost, accuracy, and real-time performance in green city environmental resource investigation and management. However, in the "Internet of everything," open, complex, and resource-intensive edge computing causes problems, such as equipment security issues and data leakage. Thus, the establishment of an effective trust evaluation mechanism has become an important research topic. In this study, the identity trust and behavioral trust of edge devices were combined, and a model was developed for evaluating the dynamic trust of edge devices. Through simulation analysis, the identity verification program has the advantages of good security performance and low bandwidth occupation, which increases the success rate of interaction with a device and enhances its data information security and privacy protection capabilities. Steps for the identity authentication process were identified, a trust evaluation mechanism was devised, and a privacy protection model was developed. Different indices were calculated to monitor environmental resources.

도로 주행에서는 기하구조나, 일기, 야간 등 여러 가지 조건에 따라 교통사고가 빈번히 발생된다. 본 연구는 교통사고가 빈번히 발생되는 위험구간에 안전표시등을 설치하고, 이를 상시 모니터링하 여 자동 제어할 수 있는 원격모니터링시스템을 개발하였다. 시스템은 윈도우 기반으로 무선통신과 연결하여 운용하고, 지역제어기와 도로교통 안전표시등을 원격 제어하여 실시간 중계되도록 GIS 기법을 적용하여 개발함으로써 시스템 운용상태를 분석하였다. 현장에 설치된 안전표시등의 배터리 와 솔라셀의 운용상태를 분석한 결과 평상시는 잘 운용되다가 겨울철에는 낮은 기온으로 10∼20% 의 성능이 저하되는 것으로 나타나 발전용량을 늘리거나 전력소비를 줄여 운용해야 하는 것으로 분석되었다.
While driving on the road, traffic accidents occur frequently affected by various conditions such as road geometry, weather and nighttime. This study installed safety indicators in the danger zones where frequent traffic accidents occur and developed a remote monitoring system enabling automatic control at all times. The system is connected to wireless communication based on window OS and relayed in real time by remote control of the local controller and road traffic safety indicator, and the operational status of the system was analyzed using GIS technique. According to the results of analysis of the operational status of battery and solar cell in safety indicator installed in the field, it was found to operate well during normal condition but the performance was reduced by 10~20% during winter time due to the low temperature. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to expand power generation capacity or reduce power consumption.

비대면 의료시스템의 확대로 간호사의 업무 경감 및 효율성을 높이기 위해서 도입되는 원격수액모니터링 장치의 사용성평가를 수행하였다. 원격 수액 모니터링은 수액 측정시술과 분석, 오차 교정기술, 전송기술 등 다양한 기술이 융복합되어 있다. 사용자가 사용하는 범위와 얻고자 하는 정보, 조절 장치 등 사용범위가 넓으며 제품을 평가 하는 요소도 다양하다. 따라서 평가를 통해 제품을 개선하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 원격수액모니터링 시스 템장치를 제품의 안정성, 조작성, 만족도의 3개 영역에서 20개의 사용성평가를 실시하여 상용화를 위한 제품개선에 도움을 주고자 정량적인 지표를 개발하였다. 적외선 방식과 로드셀 방식의 수액모니터링 장치를 통해 수행하였으며, 안정성에서는 장치의 폴대고정 등 설치작업에 대해 차이가 있었으며, 조작성과 정확성에 대해서는 높은 만족도를 나타내었다. 제품의 만족도에서는 로드셀 장치의 만족도가 대체로 높게 나타났다.
The usability evaluation of the remote fluid monitoring device, which was introduced to reduce the work of nurses and increase the efficiency, was performed due to the expansion of the non-face-to-face medical system. Remote fluid monitoring is a fusion of various technologies such as fluid measurement and analysis, error correction technology, and transmission technology. The range of use by users, the information they want to obtain, and the control device, etc. are wide, and the factors that evaluate the product are also diverse. Therefore, it is difficult to improve the product through evaluation. In this study, a quantitative index was developed to help improve the product for commercialization by conducting 20 usability evaluations in three areas of product stability, operability, and satisfaction with the remote sap monitoring system device. It was performed through infrared and load cell-type sap monitoring devices. In terms of stability, there was a difference in installation work such as fixing the pole of the device, and high satisfaction was shown for operability and accuracy. In terms of product satisfaction, the satisfaction of load cell devices was generally high.

This paper examines security vulnerabilities in current authentication methods for remote patient monitoring in Wireless Medical Sensor Networks (WMSNs), including offline password guessing and man-in-the-middle attacks. We propose a novel three-factor authentication protocol using fuzzy extractors and lightweight cryptography. Formal analysis via the Real-or-Random (ROR) model and Tamarin Prover confirms its robustness, perfect forward/backward secrecy, mutual authentication, anonymity, and untraceability. Performance comparisons demonstrate reduced overhead and enhanced security, offering a promising framework for IoMT development.

최근에는 COVID-19 인해 의료기관에서 원격으로 관리되는 환자케어 시스템의 보급이 증가되고 있다. 특히 수액 모니터링인 경우 환자의 안전과 간호사의 업무를 줄일 수 있는 시스템으로 병원에서 도입을 고려하고 있다. 현재 개발되어 있는 제품은 무게를 측정하는 로드셀 방식과 적외선 센싱으로 수액 방울을 검출하는 방식의 두 가지 제품이 있다. 각 제품은 동작원리, 센서의 종류, 크기, 사용법, 가격등의 차이가 있지만, 의료기관에서는 획득되는 데이터의 정확도에 관심이 높다. 본 연구에서는 센서 방식이 다른 두 가지 시제품을 제작하여 수액모니터링 장치의 핵심인 정확도를 실험하기 위해 시간당 총 수액량을 측정하였다. 또 외부의 움직임이 있을 경우 수액 측정값의 변화를 실험하여 측정방식에 따른 정확도를 평가하였다. 실험 결과 두 장치의 측정값 오차는 5% 미만의 차이가 있었고, 로드셀 방식은 저용량 측정값에서 적외선 방식은 고용량 측정 값에서 차이를 보였다. 본 연구결과 수액모니터링장치의 센서방식에 따른 정확도 차이는 거의 없었고, 향후 의료기관에서 사용할 경우 정확도의 문제는 없을 것으로 사료된다.
Recently, the prevalence of remotely managed patient care systems in medical institutions is increasing due to COVID-19. In particular, in the case of fluid monitoring, hospitals are considering introducing it as a system that can reduce patient safety and nurses' work. There are two products under development: a load cell method that measures weight and a method that detects drops of sap by infrared sensing. Although each product has differences in operation principle, sensor type, size, usage, and price, medical institutions are highly interested in the accuracy of the data obtained.In this study, two prototypes with different sensor methods were manufactured and the total amount of infusion per hour was measured to test the accuracy, which is the core of the infusion monitoring device. In addition, when there was an external movement, the change in the measured value of the sap was tested to evaluate the accuracy according to the measurement method. As a result of the experiment, there was a difference of less than 5% in the measurement value error of the two devices, and the load cell method showed a difference in the low-capacity measurement value and the infrared method in the high-capacity measurement value. As a result of this experiment, there was little difference in accuracy according to the sensor method of the infusion monitoring device, and it is considered that there is no problem in accuracy when used in a medical institution.

지난 10년간 우리나라에서 발생한 자연재해의 88%는 호우와 태풍에 의해 발생했으며 정량적 피해 를 산출하기 어려운 가뭄피해 또한 광역적으로 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 한반도를 포함한 동아 시아 지역에 홍수, 가뭄 등의 수재해 정보를 모니터링하고 예측하기 위한 수재해 정보 플랫폼과 홍수/가뭄 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다. 수재해 정보 플랫폼은 인공위성, 레이더, 지상관측 자료를 활용하여 홍수와 가뭄 등의 수재해를 모니터링 할 수 있는 시스템을 갖추고 있다. 본 플랫폼에는 피해규모가 상대적으로 큰 도시지역을 대상으로 고해상도 레이더 기반 홍수 모니터링 시스템이 운 영되고 있으며 위성기반의 임진강 접경지역의 홍수 모니터링 시스템과 한반도를 포함한 광역적 가 뭄 감시 및 예측 시스템이 운영되고 있다. 수재해 정보 플랫폼의 홍수/가뭄 모니터링 시스템을 통해 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하고 홍수, 가뭄 등 수재해의 선제적 대응이 가능한 해결책이 되길 기대 한다.
88% of the natural disasters in South Korea over the past ten years were caused by heavy rains and typhoons. In addition, drought damage, which is challenging to estimate quantitative damage, occurs in a wide area. In this study, a water hazard information platform was developed to monitor and predict water hazard information such as drought and flood in a wide area of East Asia, including the Korean Peninsula. The water hazard information platform is equipped with a system that can monitor water disasters such as drought and floods by using satellite, radar, automatic weather station data. This platform has an X-band radar system for predicting and monitoring urban floods with a significant damage scale. The Imjin River flood prediction system in the border area is operating for flood monitoring. The drought monitoring and forecasting system is operating using satellite-based in a wide area. Through the water hazard information platform, it is expected to protect the lives and property of the people and as a critical solution for a preemptive response to water hazards such as floods and droughts.

The Barind tract is threatened by desertification and undergoing rapid change. In view of this fact it is very much essential to manage this barind tract under proper land-use plan. The present study evaluates the effectiveness of high-resolution satellite data and computer aided GIS techniques in assessing land-use change detection for the period 1990 to 2007 within the study area, which is very much essential to manage this barind tract under proper land-use plan, and for proper land-use plan it is necessary to get reliable information. The present study found five major land-use such as current fallow, current agriculture, settlement, irrigation water and water bodies. From the result, it is found that current fallow and water bodies decrease while settlement and current agriculture increase. Study concludes that as Barind tract is threatened by desertification, decrease of water bodies is not a good sign for the study area.

In this paper, remote monitoring system for wind turbine site is developed. This system is a hierarchical reliable monitoring system connected by wireless communication channels between monitoring host computer and modular slave measuring subsystems. The design of this systems; the slave measuring subsystems is placed in meteorological tower and wind turbine, and the supervisory host computer is in the safety zone. The slave measuring subsystems signals are from a meteorological tower, wind turbine generator and tower. For monitoring and command function, the supervisory computer is implemented with a PC using graphic user interface. This system can be transferred the information among host computer and remote computers through the Ethernet. Consequently we can get reliability but economic system. The system has the concept of universality and modularity, so it is simple and easy to implement in wind turbine test sites.

Enhancing energy efficiency of machine tools causes substantial impacts on the manufacturing industries, to cope with the competitive introduction of the total energy management strategies. Real-time energy monitoring is essential to identify energy consumption patterns of the machine tools and correlate them with the energy management strategy. Integrated analysis of machine tool's operation status and the corresponding energy usage is most important to accurately evaluate the energy efficiency under the various machining process environments. This paper proposes a system architecture to realize the online energy monitoring system and the embedded energy monitoring approach interconnected with the CNC kernel. The shop-floor operation management system is presented to integrate the proposed online energy monitoring approach.
지하공동구 환경 원격 환경 모니터링 및 제어를 위한 고신뢰 고가용성 통신 시스템 적용 연구

지하공동구는 지하 공간을 이용하여 도시, 공항, 항구 등 공공시설의 전력, 통신, 수도 등의 인프라를 효율적으로 구축할 수 있다. 지하공동구 관리를 위한 원격 현장 모니터링 및 제어 시스템은 기본적으로 유선망을 사용하지만 재난 시 장애 발생 가능성이 높아 무선 연결이 보조적으로 구축되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 재난 환경에 적합한 다양한 무선 통신 규격들을 선택해 3차원으로 구축된 지하 공동구 모델을 이용하여 평상 시와 재난 상황에 대한 ray tracing 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 결과적으로 지하공동구는 높은 반사 특성을 가져 위치에 따라 수신 파워가 크게 변화하는 통신 환경이므로 낮은 주파수를 활용한 것이 효과적임을 확인하였으며 이를 기반으로 다양한 무선 통신 표준의 활용 방안을 제시하였다.
Underground utility tunnel can efficiently build infrastructure for electricity, communications, and water supply for public facilities such as cities, airports, and ports by utilizing underground space. The remote monitoring and control system for underground utility tunnels primarily relies on a wired network. However, due to the high probability of network failure during disasters, a wireless connection need to be established as a backup network. In this paper, various wireless communication standardsthat suitable for disaster environments were selected, and a ray tracing simulation was conducted using a three-dimensional underground utility tunnel model under both normal and disaster conditions. As a result, it was confirmed that the underground utility tunnel has high reflection characteristics, leading to significant variations in received power depending on location. Consequently, utilizing lower frequencies proved to be more effective. Based on these findings, various utilization of wireless communication standards were proposed.

This study was carried out to develop the technology to manage the growth of mushrooms, which were cultivated based on long-term information obtained from quantified data. In this study, hardware that monitored and controlled the growth environment of the mushroom cultivation house was developed. An algorithm was also developed to grow mushrooms automatically. Environmental management for the growth of mushrooms was carried out using cultivation sites, computers, and smart phones. To manage the environment of the mushroom cultivation house, the environmental management data from farmers cultivating the highest quality mushrooms in Korea were collected and a growth management database was created. On the basis of the database value, the management environment for the test cultivar (hukthali) was controlled at 0.5 °C with 3–7% relative humidity and 10% carbon dioxide concentration. As a result, it was possible to produce mushrooms that were almost similar to those cultivated in farms with the best available technology.
